Nowhere to Hang Outdoor Patio Swings? Then Your Answer is Outdoor Glider Swings

What could be more relaxing than the gentle swaying of outdoor patio swings? But what if you don’t have a spot that you can hang your swing? Well your answer then, is one of the outdoor glider swings.

Gliders are a great option because there isn’t any hanging installation necessary, so you can put it wherever you want. Find a shady spot out by the garden and just imagine how peaceful and relaxing it will be to enjoy your morning coffee, a leisurely afternoon read, or take in a beautiful sunset in the evening breeze.

You could even find yourself lulled into a refreshing nap while swaying gently away. With it’s smooth rhythm and open slat design, outdoor glider swings are naturally cool and relaxing on a warm summer day.

You may have to wait your turn though, because these beautiful pieces will soon become a favorite spot for the whole family! You may want to get one of the face to face glider swings so you’ll have enough room for everybody.

Your outdoor furniture glider is sure to quickly become your favorite spot for you and a loved one to relax. No matter how old we get, we’ve always loved that soft, back and forth motion, starting with the cradle, to a rocking chair, and now with outdoor patio swings.

Glider swings are more like a sofa than a swing. It glides back and forth on a frame, and works by foot power, you use your foot to make the glider go back and forth.

You can find an outdoor swing with canopy for shade anywhere in your yard or deck, or a glider porch swing for your porch or patio. If it’s going to be on your patio then be sure to allow 2 to 3 feet of clearance in front of and behind the glider.

When deciding on your patio or yard furniture design, you can save money by adding an outdoor furniture glider as part of the arrangement. Their comfort and durability will keep you happily swinging away for many years.

No matter which type of outdoor patio swings you choose, they will never go out of style. You can have one that’s made from one of several kinds of wood, including cedar or teak, there’s natural wicker or the new resin wicker, and wrought iron swings for an elegant look. It’ll surely be hard to pick just one!

My Husband Announced That He Wanted A Divorce And Then Refused To Talk About It How Do I Force Him?

You would think that when one spouse wants to divorce another, there would be plenty to talk about. After all, a divorce completely changes the lives of the two spouses. But it also can drastically change the life of the couple’s children, parents, and other extended family members. It is not a decision that many people take lightly. In fact many people assume that it is not pursued until the couple has discussed it until there is just nothing left to talk about and there are no other words to say.

This isn’t always the case, though. Sometimes, you have a spouse who files for divorce and then totally and completely clams up. He won’t offer advance warning and when the other spouse tries to talk to him about this, he will avoid any conversation. Needless to say, many people just do not understand this or know how to respond.

For example, someone might say: “I can not say that I am completely blown away and shocked that my husband filed for divorce. I knew that it was a possibility. We have been having problems for about eighteen months. We have trust issues, financial issues, compatibility issues, and the list goes on and on. So I was fully aware that we might end up separated, at least for a while. But I did not anticipate that I would be facing a divorce. For the most part, my husband and I have tried to tackle our problems on our own. We have not sought professional help. So I figured that would be in the cards before my husband filed for divorce. Well, he filed anyway. He had me served at my work and when I try to call him to talk about this, he will not pick up. I actually went by his office and he had his receptionist tell me that he was busy. I’ve tried texting and leaving messages and I get nothing in return. I finally emailed him and asked if he just had no plans at all to discuss this. He finally wrote back saying that he felt that there was nothing to discuss. He said we’ve been talking for a year or so and have gotten nowhere, so now we can just communicate through our attorneys. This is awful because I really do want to save my marriage. I really did have every intention of going to counseling. But I don’t see how this is going to be possible if he won’t even talk to me. Why does he hate the idea of talking to me so much? Does he think that I might change his mind or something? How can I force him to talk to me?”

Why He Might Be Tight-Lipped: I suppose he might be uncomfortable with the idea that you might try to change his mind. But he may be also telling you the truth when he says that he believes that there is little to talk about – at least for now. This is a very common reaction when the divorce filing is so fresh. People often struggle for some time while trying to come to this decision. They may wonder if it is the right decision or if it is the right time. So, when they finally make the decision, they may not want to discuss or debate it because doing so is just going to rehash the internal debate that they have already had. And yes, he may be afraid or concerned that you are going to try to sway him, but there is a long time between today and the time period that any divorce is likely to be finalized. You don’t need to have this conversation right this minute. That’s why I’d suggest letting things calm down a bit first.

Forcing The Conversation: As for how to force him to talk to you, in my experience trying to force anything on him right now is likely the worst strategy that you could possibly take. From my own experience during my own separation, the more you try to push anything on a reluctant, disconnected husband, the more you are going to regret it. In my own case, my husband was either likely to ignore me, to avoid me, or eventually, to push back.

None of these things got me closer to what I really wanted – which was to get my husband and my marriage back. In fact, they got me further away from these things because my husband was just getting increasingly annoyed with me and my pushing. So I had to step back, work on myself, try to work with what I had, and, to an extent, wait on him to come to me.

Yes, this was scary and it felt like a delay. But frankly, I didn’t have a choice. My husband was not going to be forced into anything. And the more I tried, the worse things got. Right now, your divorce talk is very fresh. Some counties require couples who are considering divorce to get counseling or meditation. If so, then you will obviously have to communicate then. Maybe couples actually say this was a stepping stone to them reconnecting.

Also, you have gotten some response with the emails, so you might want to stick to that – although you may want to use it sparingly so that it doesn’t lose its effectiveness. The point I’m trying to make is that it might be doubtful and unrealistic for your husband to think that you two won’t communicate anymore. You likely will. But right now, because everything is so fresh, he’s withdrawing and doesn’t want a lot of debate. This is normal and understandable. But it doesn’t mean that this is the way that it will always be. With that in mind, you need to set the groundwork for the future, and trying to “force” him to communicate is probably not the best way to do it.

Language Leads Learning: High Talk, Then Tech

At her baby shower, one of Amy’s friends gave her a DVD to teach her baby to read. Filled with dreams for her soon-to-be-born babe, one of which being that her child will do well in school and be a good reader, she stopped to think about whether a DVD would be the best way for her young child to learn to read.

She is right to wonder. Though some DVDs may be highly engaging to toddlers and preschoolers, there is a very important and necessary early link to reading success. That link should not be overlooked. That link is language.

Language is the leader of learning. Language leads learning.

Children need to become highly skilled in understanding and using language in order to master reading and other academic concepts and skills. Language skill provides a child with vocabulary and the grammar rules that form and connect words together to create meaning.

Babies and toddlers who recite words from flashcards at a very early age are showing their ability to memorize visual word patterns. They are “word-calling” but not actually “reading”. They will still need to learn to “crack the code” of the relationship between letters and combinations of letters to produce the sounds that make up words. They will still need skill in phonics.

Amy will help her baby on the path to becoming a good reader some day by beginning right away to provide a rich language environment. That rich environment won’t cost her a cent. It will come from her own skills as a talker and from her heart as a mother. All that will be required is that she focus in on her child, talk a lot to her child throughout each day, resist numerous distractions that steal precious time from her interactions with her child, and make use of methods that will help her provide high-quality models for her child to benefit from.

Like most parents, Amy can enhance her skills by making use of language stimulation suggestions and methods that are available online and in books and eBooks. Many such methods do not come “naturally” to most parents, but they do feel natural once learned and practiced.

Once her child is demonstrating that she understands what is said to her and she is able to express herself, then high-quality DVDs may provide a good supplement to Amy’s verbal interactions with her daughter in play, with picture books, and throughout all daily activities.

Talking development comes first, then technology will make more sense. High talk, then tech.

Born Between 1946 and 1965? Then You're a Baby Boomer and You Must Read This

If you were born between 1946 and 1965 you are affectionately known as a Baby Boomer and it's a worldwide phenomenon. After the world's population was decimated during WWII each governments encouraged women to have more children which they did. It is those children that are now causing concern as they reach what used to be regarded as retiring age.

The fact that people are living longer than ever before and the birth rate is declining globally is set to cause serious problems for the incumbent governments in the decades ahead.

Let me explain why.

  • The older people get the less they spend particularly those over 65 – this is bad for business
  • A decreasing birth rate means fewer younger people in work to support the older ones via taxes
  • Fewer children = fewer workers = fewer potential consumers = fewer taxes
  • In the USA 9,000 – 10,000 people have turned 65 every single day since January 1st 2011 and will continue to do so until 2030 (only 14 years from now in case you think it's far into the future) when around 70 million will be between 65 – 84 years old.
  • This in turn means a drop in fiscal growth for the country

Today in the US 13% of the population is 65 – by 2030 18% will be and 26% will be over 65. If the population is around 350 million at that point then that means around 90 million people will be 65 or older.

In Japan the situation is even more serious. It's population is now 126 million but by 2066 it'll be down to 87 million and if it carries on like this the Japanese will be an extinct race by 2500! It's not all bad though – sales of incontinence pads have overtaken nappies apparently!

China has only recently permitted couples to have more than one child as the workforce was in decline and Germany's workforce and population has been in decline since 2000 which is one reason why they were open to accepting nearly 400,000 refugees as these will increase the workforce.

On the more positive side many more older people are still in work whether by choice or need. In Japan and New Zealand 40% of 65-69 year old's are still in work.

In the UK by 2039 1 in 12 of the population will be 80 or older and if our population is around 72 million as expected that's approximately 6 million – with a great many needing specialist medical care. This is because the UK is quite a sick nation medically speaking.

There was a Scottish study that showed half of people had a chronic disease such as diabetes by the time they reached 60. By the time they reach 70 a third of them have three diseases. So if people are to work to the age of 68 which the government has decided is the new retirement age, then people need to kept healthier for longer.

You may be wondering where all this is going and what it has to do with you. Well it all depends on how old you are right now. If you're in your forties then retirement will seem a long way off but if you're in your fifties then you know as well as I do that it's closer than you'd like to think! This being the case maybe now is the time to act as far as money is concerned.

If you're at all concerned about your future financially and your present income or the foreseeable one once you're retired is not going to be enough, at least to live comfortably, then you seriously need to consider a second income as a supplement to your main one, one that doesn't tie you down too much (passive) but gives a meaningful income

There are many different sources of extra income, here are just a few:

  • Selling on Amazon
  • Selling on eBay
  • Trading – either shares or currencies (Forex)
  • An online business (selling digital products)

There is a lot of information on the above – just Google whichever appeals to you.

It doesn't have to be a full-time job, just something that can bring in a reasonable amount of income without too much fuss to make things that little bit easier in your later years.

If you think you will need some form of extra income in the future then the time to act is now. If you put it off to another day that day will arrive sooner than you think.

Does Your Car Start But Then Stop Immediately?

Figuring out why an engine starts and stops immediately is either going to be a very easy problem to find or it will send you in circles trying to find it. I typically do not see many situations that fall between. With today’s electronics it can be a very difficult problem to find without using a computer scan tool. But, I am not saying that you shouldn’t try to find out what is wrong.

As I have mentioned it previous articles “you should go back to the basics.” You have one of two problems, spark or fuel. It’s really easy to figure out which one you are having the issue with. First spray some starter fluid or some brake cleaner into the intake and have someone start the engine. Watch here for details. If the engine fires and can run with the spray and stops when you quit spraying then you have a fuel issue. If you remove a spark plug and test the spark and there is none then you have a spark issue. Watch here for details on testing spark.

Most of the time when a car has a problem with starting, running, and immediately cutting off, then the issue is not normally spark. If you are having a fuel issue then consider changing your fuel filter. But first, look at how many miles you have and how long since you filter has been changed. Fuel is filtered much better than it used to be, so mileage recommendations may very from mechanic to mechanic, but your fuel filter should be changed every at least every 60,000 miles. I am not saying run out and put a fuel filter in your car and it will be fixed though.

You need to test and back probe the fuel issue, such as testing for fuel pressure. There are very simple tests that can be done by someone who has almost no mechanical knowledge to rectify the fuel issue. When I say “simple” I mean simple. You can diagnose things easier than you know. All you need is good information and a willingness to fix your own car. You’ll be surprised at how much better you feel about driving your car when you are not scared of it breaking down.

Strivectin SD Review – Really Better Then Botox? Not Exactly

Chances are if you are looking for something to relieve wrinkles and leave your face looking better and more youthful, you have ran into two very popular anti-aging market treatments by now; botox injections, and the best selling and top recommended Strivectin SD anti-aging cream.

A while back I was doing some research on the top selling and recommend anti aging creams available on the market, and it literally blew me away how a single product made the top selling and top recommend product lists time and time again, across a dozen vendors as I checked and rechecked what creams and products looked most promising in a sometimes confusing and ever growing anti-wrinkle market.

They had an interesting slogan, one which really caught my eye and got me thinking ‘Strivectin SD – Better Then Botox’ – needless to say, I was skeptical and I dug a little bit deeper into some personalized strivectin sd reviews and feedback to see if any of my fellow consumers could touch on this point, because having botox injections personally, I was highly skeptical that an anti-aging cream applied daily would have been more worthwhile then the treatment I paid nearly $500 for a while back.

What I uncovered then, and continued to prove after I had decided to buy and use strivectin sd personally, was that this was no botox alternative (catchy phrase though isn’t it?) but indeed was quite potent in its own regard. What I feel was very interesting though, is now in my experience of using both, is that they really do go hand and hand with each other. Let me elaborate on this, because I’m already starting to contradict myself.

Botox is what you could call a quick and extremely powerful way to fill and smooth over fine lines, wrinkles, frown and furrow lines, etc… Leaving you incredibly satisfied and feeling like the $300-1000 you just spent was put very well to use. The problem that quickly arises however as time wears on, is the realization that after the swelling has gone away, it a slower but steady and relentless degradation back to the way things were, and repeated treatments would quickly add up into thousands of dollars of short lived happiness. This is my main concern with botox treatment, and I was unhappy as I have neither the desire nor the bank account to sustain these type of results, and I found myself looking for something that would provide longer lived results, negating the need to have to spend hundreds a month to get stuff injected into my stressed and prematurely aged face 🙂

That is when I found strivectin sd and eye cream, it was sitting pretty as some of the most popular and highly reviewed creams in the incredibly vast and confusing anti-aging market, and with a slogan like “Better then botox” my curiosity peaked although so did my skeptical feelings. Rather then just buy strivectin sd and hope for the best, I decided to decipher this slogan and get some information from people that have purchased and tried it already to get a better understanding of why it sits so highly atop a huge mountain as the best cream rated and most popular as well… As I went about my research I uncovered peoples input both positive and negative, some of which was incredibly surprising to see based upon my knowledge of botox already, they were saying it wasn’t effective as a quick fix, but provided some good long term and sustained skin health and improvement… an incredible contradiction to their slogan, but just what I was looking for!To use in conjunction and supplementary to the quick fix botox injection (one last time I promised my bank account!)

Exactly like the customer strivectin reviews and my research had indicated, this was no botox alternative, I didn’t put it on the first night, my face didn’t swell, I didn’t hand over $500, and my wrinkles didn’t disappear… but I wasn’t upset, I had realistic expectations and wasn’t looking for a quick fix anyhow, I needed something that was going to have a lasting and definite mark, and I continued application religiously as the directions indicated. As time past, I continued to see weekly improvement, and most importantly, real and deeper level change that the Botox treatments had lacked and left me desiring.

This is no botox alternative at all folks, but what I am happy to find, is it’s the perfect supplement for those of us that need both a vast quick improvement as well as long term refining and changes! I have probably saved thousands of dollars of other short lived injection results by now, and felt the need to uncover this catchy slogan and offer some advice online where a lot of marketing and misinformation has probably led people to buy some cheap strivectin-sd hoping it would provide the same results as the coveted Botox treatment.

Well it won’t ladies and gentlemen, but you also must consider that the expensive and highly regarded botox injection isn’t perfect either, with your money being short lived and finding your results to have diminished in a short time, strivectin sd isn’t a replacement but a supplementary product to make your money go further, or in the case of less severe or younger skin care problems, a preventive measure. I now highly believe in and regard in the strivectin care products as well, just don’t expect me to describe it the same as their slogan! The two are vastly different, but if you are looking for complete and total wrinkle war domination, I feel that when used in conjunction with one another, you not only protect your initial investment, but see long term results and change that will have you feeling more satisfied then one or the other would provide by themselves. Now all we have left to do is convince them to change their marketing gimmick from “Better Then Botox” to “Insurance for your skin care results” and let every person be a satisfied and informed customer – surprised to find their decision to buy strivectin SD, was a good choice for long term beauty and anti-aging results.

The Kodak Camera – Then And Now!

In the late 1800s George Eastman of Rochester, New York was making photographic equipment including a small box camera with a new kind of picture taking material called roll film. By 1888, Eastman patented this small box camera under the name Kodak.

Eastman coined the word Kodak from no other word or no other meaning to avoid any trademark problems. His Kodak camera was introduced in June 1888 and sold for about $25.00. Each camera came with roll film that would take 100 pictures. After taking 100 pictures the owners would return the Kodak Camera and $10.00 to the Eastman factory for development. The pictures and Kodak camera with a new roll of film inserted would then be returned to the owner. Kodak camera owners would receive a 2 1/2 inch circular print mounted on heavy cardboard. Eastman’s advertising slogan for this Kodak Camera was “You press the button, we do the rest.” In nice condition, a vintage original Kodak costing $25.00 in the late 1800s would sell for several thousand dollars today.

Today Kodak has a great line of digital cameras like the EasyShare C-Series, Z-series, V-Series, P-Series and the hot and stylish new M-Series. Most of these new camera’s are thin, compact, and stylish and come in 5 megapixels to 8 megapixels or more with optical zooms of 3X to 12X or more. Price range vary but usually $150.00 to just under $350.00.

Kodak has a large selection of cool camera accessories like stylish camera bags, neck and wrist straps and gift sets. Want to share your images with friend and family, check out the “Good Things For Sharing From Kodak.” With Kodak Camera Docks you can transfer photo’s to your PC and recharge your camera’s battery pack. Kodak has many other accessories such as larger memory cards, batteries and chargers, AC adaptors, Zoom Flash and camera lenses and adapters.

For those of you who want to go back to the late 1800s when George Eastman developed the first Kodak then choose a Kodak Single Use Camera in high definition for indoor, outdoor or underwater use. For that vintage or classic look choose a black and white Kodak single use camera.

Women Bodybuilding: Then & Now

Everyone has either heard of or is familiar with the sport of competitive bodybuilding. The female component, which is known as women bodybuilding, began in the late 1970s as women began to participate in competitions. Now, more than three decades later, women bodybuilding is a large part of the sport and has begun to garner the respect that it has strived for since it’s inception.

Although physique contests for women can actually be documented in the 1960s, they were little more than bikini contests. The first true women bodybuilding competition is regarded as the one held in Canton, Ohio in 1978. Promoted by Henry McGhee, the first United States Women’s National Physique Championship was the first competition where the entrants were judged solely on their muscularity as opposed to how well they looked in swimsuits.

By 1979, more women bodybuilding competitions were being held. The sport, however, did not possess a sanctioning body until 1980. Known as the National Physique Committee, this organization hosted the first women’s nationals and became the top amateur level competition for women bodybuilding in the United States. Additionally, 1980 marked the first Ms. Olympia competition, which is the most honored competition for women bodybuilding professionals.

As the sport continued to grow and increase in overall popularity, competitors found themselves needing to train harder and improve their overall muscular physique. By the 1980s, women bodybuilding was no longer a bikini contest or seeing who could pose in the highest heels. Now, it was becoming a popular sport with championship titles and increasing fan attendance.

With films that have been produced in honor of women bodybuilding competitions, coverage on major television networks and despite some controversies along the way, women bodybuilding has more than proven it’s ability to remain in the ranks of this popular sport. As further proof, the IFBB established a Hall of Fame in 1999, which would honor bodybuilding’s top athletes. To date, 14 women bodybuilding competitors have been inducted. Among them, Carla Dunlap, Cory Everson and Rachel McLish, Bev Francis, Lisa Lyon and Abbye Stockton, Kay Baxter, Diana Dennis, Kike Elomaa, Laura Combes, Lynn Conkwright, Ellen Van Maris, Stacy Bentley and Claudia Wilbourn.

In late 2004, the IFBB introduced a new rule that required women bodybuilding participants decrease their amount of muscularity by 20%, which is now referred to simply as the ‘20% rule.’ The rule applies to those whose physique requires the decrease. In 2005, another rule was introduced that would abolish the weight class system beginning with the 2005 Ms. Olympia.

In addition to women bodybuilding, there are two additional categories that are closely related and often held as part of the same event. The fitness competition includes a swimsuit round, along with a round that has the entrants judged on their performance in aerobics, dance or gymnastics. The second category is a figure competition, which is a newer format, and has the participants being judged exclusively on their symmetry and muscle tone. This category focuses less on muscle size than does women bodybuilding.

Although women bodybuilding has continued to grow in popularity, the prize money remains significantly less than is awarded to male bodybuilders.

Soccer Jerseys – Then and Now

Soccer uniform transformed from Victorian knickerbockers which were fastened tightly under the knee, overlapping stockings and heavy boots to jerseys and long shorts. This changed was due to social attitude transformation over time.

After world war II, the dramatic change in soccer uniform became relevant specifically in Italy and Hungary which eventually spread all over Europe then the whole world. Shorts actually even became short and top clothing became lighter.

The fabric also changed from stocky wool and cotton to synthetic fibers like nylon as well as acrylic which was a product of the industrial revolution. Soccer jersey and shorts were made mostly on these materials even nowadays.

If you search the internet, you will find how variety of soccer jerseys have grown to countless design and materials. Even you can find original ones to fake imitations from China or some other places where mass production seems to be the key of its popularity.

A soccer jersey can be seen and bought just about anywhere there are sporting garments Even in the flea market of India or Burma, you will be able to find one at a whim. The availability of these garments seems to be endless nowadays and at times you don’t even know the difference from the original with a fake one.

Of course a soccer jersey which was worn by a soccer star will be difficult to find but as with anything nowadays, the internet is a good source for anything impossible to find whether its an antique or a vintage soccer jersey.

Of course vintage garments usually are auctioned and can only be bought by fanatics or collectors who in turn can make money from other fanatics. Some are too crazy over something like a soccer jersey even to the point buying an unwashed jersey.

But then some just wanted a simple soccer jersey just so they have a uniform for their local school soccer team. Most of the times, they make their own design and create their own logos. Perhaps from the time soccer was uniformed in terms of garments up to the present, countless designs have been made.

The teams who have won international level competitions are the one who have institutionalized the classic soccer jersey. Most of all, the one who are considered vintage are the soccer jerseys worn by the most popular soccer stars.

You search the internet for vintage soccer jerseys and you will find listing of all popular jerseys either according to teams or some would have individual listings. The older and more popular the soccer player is, the more expensive the garment become.

You can also find imitations available online. These are usually cheap and were produced en masse by some garment factory. Perhaps this is alright as everyone may have the opportunity to wear a soccer jersey even if it is fake.
