3 Killer Lines to Say to a Woman – Make Them Love You Using Your Words

Women love sweet talk, most of all when the sweet talk comes across as honest and true. As the man in your relationship, it would be your duty to keep your woman happy by knowing what to say to make her melt in your arms and become completely addicted to your word anyway.

It would not matter whether she is your girlfriend or whether you are still running after her; you need to keep a woman happy by spewing out romantic lines as often as possible. Keep reading to find out the 3 top lines that you can say to women to make them fall desperately in love with you…

The 3 Top Lines To Say To Women To Make Them Fall In Love With You

Line #1. “I Will Always Love You… Until The End Of Time.” This might sound direct and simple, but it really works wonders! In fact, it works much better than the regular “I love you” that might get boring to a woman’s ears after a while. By stating that you will always love her, it will show that you are making a commitment, which is something that women deem to be highly attractive. Try it out!

Line #2. “I Want To Spend The Rest Of My Life In Your Arms.” This would be the ultimate ‘insecurity buster’ to ensure that she feels like you will never leave her side. Nothing would appeal to a woman more in the long run than a man that is ready to face every life challenge with her. That is why this line works wonder.

Line #3. “I’m The Luckiest Man On Earth To Be With You”. If you can deliver this line sincerely, your woman will instantly melt in your arms. It would, however, be absolutely essential not to sound too amused when you say this, though. Say it just right.

Remember that you will need to deliver these lines congruently for your woman to believe you – otherwise she will think that you are a fake, and her attraction levels to you will reduce. It’s really not always the words you say, but how you say it. Don’t forget that!

Upgrade With an Android Navigation Head Unit – Say Goodbye to the Factory Car Stereo

Does your factory car stereo look plain and boring or maybe it lacks important features such as navigation? Outdated car stereos don’t serve much of a purpose. Most of them don’t have navigation systems and play only radio and CD music. Upgrade your factory car stereo with an Android aftermarket navigation head unit to experience the best of today’s technology.

Replace your outdated head unit for more high-tech functionality. Automotive navigation systems are an essential part of today’s modern vehicles but don’t worry, you don’t need to buy a brand new car for these commodities. The aftermarket offers a variety of multimedia Android head units, which are convenient devices and allow you to connect your Android phone to your dash and control some of the most important features. With an Android head unit, you can play music, use Google Maps navigation which is far more advanced than the basic BMW navigation, make calls and send messages.

  • Having an Android head unit has tons of advantages.

This is not just a typical car stereo, we are talking about a multi-functional device that will make your car rides pleasant and relaxing. Your Android phone is connected to the dash via USB which does not mirror every app you have on the device. Only the apps that are authorized by Google Play can be visible on your unit because of drivers’ safety regulations. You will be able to use Google Maps as a reliable navigation system as well as play music from your phone’s database.

The audio goes through the USB which does not damage the quality of sound like Bluetooth does. The second most important feature after navigation is the hands free phone calls. Making calls while driving is not recommended, unless you have an Android head unit which allows you to talk hands free. This is important for your safety as well as the safety of others on the road.

  • The downsides and how to deal with them

The aftermarket offers a variety of Android unit models with phone interface that is easy to navigate, even while driving. Replacing your factory car stereo might cause you to lose some of the factory features such as steering wheel audio control, satellite radio, Bluetooth integration systems and rear seat entertainment systems.

The key is to choose a compatible head unit off the aftermarket that will provide you with the features you want to keep. Depending on which feature you want to keep, you will need to get an appropriate adapter. We can take steering wheel audio controls as an example because it is one of the basic features that everyone wants to hold on to. In this case, look for a steering wheel audio control adapter and a navigation unit that is compatible with this adapter. In today’s aftermarket, you will find plenty of head units with the SWI (steering wheel input). It is important to look for this specific feature because otherwise your head unit might cost you a few commodities. Other than that, there is not a single reason you should not upgrade your vehicle with an aftermarket head unit.

It is certainly more affordable than buying brand new wheels and with the aftermarket you can get a high-tech Android head unit at a fair price and say goodbye to the old factory car stereo.

How to Mess Up Your Personal Statement for Graduate Or Professional School Applications

When you applied as an undergraduate, your personal statement probably didn’t make much of a difference, because undergraduate admissions are heavily based on numbers (GPAs, test scores, etc). Graduate and professional school admissions are different! Your competitors will have grades and test scores similar to yours, because most people who have the motivation to pursue an advanced degree did well as undergraduate students. As the number of applicants rises and academic budgets are cut, every year there’s more competition for fewer admissions openings.

How does the committee determine that you have what it takes to succeed in advanced studies? You guessed it. Your personal statement will play a determining role in whether or not your application is successful.

So you know you need to write the strongest, most persuasive personal statement you can. But here are two facts you may not know. First, most reviewers will spend only a couple minutes skimming your personal statement. Second, because their job is to weed out the majority of applications, reviewers are looking for reasons not to recommend you for admission.

Avoid common mistakes that will get your application put in the reject pile. Read on for 10 simple ways you can mess up your personal statement:

1. Say thank you

Your parents and elementary school teachers taught you to be polite in writing, and you know it’s a good rule to follow. But don’t waste words thanking the committee for reading your application. It’s not the same situation as applying for a job, because you’re paying the school to review your application so that, hopefully, you can pay them to educate and train you. Starting or ending your statement with phrases like ‘Thank you for reviewing this application’ or ‘I appreciate your consideration’ can make you come across as immature, obsequious, or ignorant of academic culture.

2. Make excuses

Lots of applicants have weaknesses in their application files, especially in their transcripts. Maybe you got low grades your freshman year. Maybe you had to leave school and work for a while. Maybe you got an F in that statistics class and had to retake it. Or maybe you got a degree in one field and are applying to grad school in a different field; or you didn’t pass your medical residency exams the first time.

Whatever your weakness is, do not offer excuses and do not bad-mouth anyone. So it wasn’t your fault that the professor lost your final exam and flunked you, or jobs dried up in your original field of study, or you had the flu when you took the GRE. Don’t say anything that sounds like an excuse or sounds like you are blaming someone else for you failing to achieve a goal. Even when it is true, it may make you seem whiny and unable to accept responsibility for your actions. Instead, address the weakness at the end of your statement, and explain how you have overcome it, learned from it, and are a better candidate now because of it.

3. Summarize your resume and transcripts

Many applicants try to summarize their professional resume and academic transcripts in the personal statement. All of this information is requested in the application itself and the reviewers will see it. Personal statements are too short to waste space explaining that you got straight A’s your senior year. Instead, describe the experiences and achievements that are relevant to your development as a potential professional in your chosen field

4. Be cute or funny

Maturity is one of the most common adjectives admissions committees use to describe the ideal graduate or professional school student. You are applying to eventually become their colleague, a fellow professional. Show them you take their time, their program, your future, and yourself seriously by maintaining a positive and professional tone. Unless the application directs you to submit a creative writing sample, leave the stand-up routine for the comedy club.

5. Suggest that the program can right a wrong by admitting you

Remember that the committee members are busy professionals who are taking only a couple minutes to skim your statement. On the one hand, asserting that you will make a unique contribution to your program and bring a new perspective by adding to the diversity of their student body is a smart move and shows you as a positive, professional team player. On the other hand, asking for admission on the grounds that it will correct a previous injustice runs the risk of making you appear unqualified and/or confrontational.

6. Be sarcastic

This one doesn’t need much explanation. Your ironic commentaries and sarcastic quips make your Facebook friends laugh, because they know you. The admissions committee does not. They can easily misinterpret sarcastic comments, or decide you’re flippant, cynical, pessimistic, or a know-it-all.

7. Say something potentially offensive

Again, not much explanation needed on this one. You do not know anything about the people who are reading your personal statement. Assume they are very sensitive on all issues and write accordingly. Do not assume they agree with any of your political, social, or religious views.

8. Show your inferiority complex or your superiority complex

Many applicants have trouble striking the balance between promoting themselves and not coming off as arrogant in their personal statement. A personal statement is a marketing document and has to showcase your strengths. Yet many applicants err on the side of humility, such as using self-deprecating language; or describing weaknesses and previous failings without explaining how they’ve worked to turn those weaknesses into strengths. Admissions committees do not admit candidates out of pity!

Other applicants err on the side of conceit, giving the impression that they don’t really need any advanced training because they know so much about the field and have so much experience. They fail to describe what they expect to gain from a specialized course of education. You want to walk the line between these extremes. Assert that you are very well-qualified to begin this course of study, and that you have the preparation, motivation, maturity and focus they seek. Then stress your planned specialization, what you will gain from attending their program, and how you need the training they offer to succeed as a professional.

9. Plagiarize your statement, or submit content you paid someone to write

Most grad and professional school applicants have not read hundreds of personal statements and are unaware of how unique each person’s writing style is. It really doesn’t take much for admissions committees to note that the language and style of a candidate’s personal statement is different from the writing found in other parts of the applications. There are also a few dozen so-called sample personal statements on the internet that are frequently copied and submitted as the applicant’s own essay. Committees are well aware of this! You can also hire someone to write a personal statement for you. It may sound great to you, but you should realize that such essays are based on a template that they just customize for you, using the same paragraph organization and phrases. It’s a smart move to get an expert to help you revise and polish your words into a persuasive statement. It’s risky to plagiarize a statement from the internet, or hire someone to write the whole statement for you.

10. Use poor spelling or poor grammar

This one should be pretty obvious. Academics on admissions committees are generally high achievers with high standards who won’t disregard even simple typos. If your personal statement is not technically perfect, it can make you seem sloppy, lazy, or inattentive, which are not qualities anyone wants in a future colleague. Remember that the people skimming your essay are seeking a reason to reject your application and make the pile of possible admits smaller. Always get someone with strong writing skills to review your essay.

Say Goodbye Forever to the Joint Pains! Hello to the Pain-Free Life

A holistic approach to heal the patients suffering from joint pains, headaches and body ache chiropractic treatments are becoming famous worldwide. Overall functions of body increase with the help of chiropractic treatment. Despite this, there are many myths created about this practice and the doctors who in turn are not only good chiropractors but also good nutritionists. The curriculum of these experts is designed in an extensive manner, making them stand out. Let us see how much beneficial a chiropractor can be to you.

Natural Treatment:

The belief behind chiropracticing is that our bodies have the capability of healing itself. The chiropractors hence lay full emphasis on seeing that our nervous system is aligned properly with our body so that the body functions properly. They treat the spine system to ensure good health and self- healing capacity of a body. This is so because it is the nervous system which is connected to every cell in a human body. Vertebral subluxation is removed and the body is set at healthy.

Cures Sciatica:

This science has the capability of healing sciatica, which is nothing but a deformity which arises due to poor posture while sitting and keeping our heads ahead of the backbone. With the advent of technology, people are glued more to TVs, Mobile phones and Laptops which bring them back and neck pain. It is found in daily practice that chiropractors healed such pains at the rate of 72% in comparison to 20 and 50 percent of physical and injection treatments. This shows how effective this form of healing is.

Cures Migraine

Nearly 12% of the world population suffer from migraine and severe headaches which is the forte of chiropractors. It is seen that people who undergo this treatment increase the chances of not getting the attacks by 90% and there is a reduction in the intensity of the pain caused.

Capable of treating nervous deformities

It was Williams, who got treatment as an MS patient under chiropractic care. He was cured by this science successfully. The video of him is available on you tube. It was observed through MRI scans of patients that chiropractors increased the blood flow and cerebellum fluid. This helps control the blood pressure too. Even cerebellar invagination which is nothing but the deformity where the cerebellum drops below the line of the skull and brain plaquing is reversed. Epilepsy and seizure problems are also addressed by chiropractors successfully.

Boon for athletes:

Our sports athletes’ excellent performance is also due to the help of chiropractors. Many sportspersons have made it a point to visit the chiropractor as this increases their everyday performance and makes them stand out the queue by winning at various levels. Phelps is one of the celebrities who like to undergo a chiropractic treatment. However, there are many associations like NFL who have chiropractors on their staff.

Zero Calorie Sweeteners: No Bueno Say the Experts

Once again non-nutritive or “artificial” sweeteners are making the news. New evidence shows that there are negative biochemical changes in the body in response to these low-cal sugar replacers. 1

We already know that sugar has detrimental effects on our blood sugar, insulin and waistline. It is common knowledge nowadays that sweets consumption should be lowered and kept to a minimum. In came, subsequently, those nifty no-calorie sweeteners that promised a similar flavor without all the unhealthy side effects. While initially regarded as safe and approved by the FDA, for some time now research has hinted they are not as benign as touted Now we have even more evidence that they are doing more harm than good.

In this new study, researchers took several groups of rats and either fed them diets high in glucose, fructose, or artificial sweeteners (aspartame or acesulfame potassium). Acesulfame is sold in stores at Sunnett or Sweet One, and aspartame is sold as Equal or NutraSweet. Both are currently approved artificial sweeteners by the FDA.

Within three weeks the researchers found discernable differences between the groups per blood samples collected. They noted that the artificial sweeteners appeared to change the way their bodies processed fat and energy overall. They also noticed that the acesulfame potassium accumulated in the blood and had a negative impact on the cells lining the blood vessels.

Bottom line? Don’t think that switching to artificial sweeteners is the answer. For one, how many thin people do you see walking around drinking diet sodas all day? They don’t seem to work. This study helps us understand why. Also, continuing to drink sweet beverages hinders one’s ability to acclimate to lesser sweetened beverages and foods. It keeps the sweet desire active, per say, and doesn’t solve the problem of cravings. In fact it can make things worse by initiating an insulin response but, with no actual sugar entering the body, you end up with lower blood sugar and a “crash,” so to speak. The craving cycle continues.

The article ends by trying to answer the question, which is better? Sugar or artificial sweeteners? How about neither? My advice is to ditch sweet-tasting beverages altogether and switch to good ol’ water, the way nature intended.

But you hate water you say? If that’s you, think about some simple flavorings such as lemon, lime or other fruits soaked in your H20. Maybe dilute a favorite beverage half and half and keep increasing the water until you desire the sweet taste less and less. Drink club soda and lime if fizzy is your thing. There are ways to make better choices to keep these harmful chemicals out of your bodies for good.

In the end, if weight loss, blood sugar control and heart health are your goals, artificial sweeteners have to go. Period.

Message From the Universe: It Is Time to Say Something

“Give it thought. Consider every angle. And then speak your mind.

You’ve not been drawn into anyone’s life just to listen.

Loud and proud,

The Universe”

Just like going into business, it is important to take calculated risks before you jump into anything. Prepare yourself to work towards the goals that you set yourself to and figure out the best way to get there. I am not saying that you will achieve everything without experiencing difficult challenges, but at least you will be well prepared in advance to deal with these hurdles. More prepared you are, more chances to resolve your issues. No one can predict everything that will happen before it does happen, but as long as you have somewhat of an idea of the probability that it MAY happen, you will know how to handle the situation professionally and effectively. The line of success is never a straight one, so never feel like a failure if you weren’t able to go straight. You will experience difficult moments, problems that are as high as Mt Everest but you will need to figure out how to get around it. There is no IF or BUT about it.

So what should you do? First and foremost is to take your time before you jump into anything and consider every angle imaginable. I am not saying to just find excuses to move forward, but once you are sure within yourself that it is the right opportunity for you, then I would suggest to take that leap of faith and jump. By jumping, you are moving forward towards reaching your goals and accomplishments. If you stay up in that mountain, you will be looking down and see the ones who did take that leap of faith and discover themselves better. You can’t let that happen. Figure out the problems as you go along, and you will get smarter doing that as well. Again, you will need to jump off that cliff and figure out how to do things better.

Raise Your Beer Mug to the World or How to Say Cheers! In Zulu

The Moguls did it. So did the Vikings. “A mouth of a perfectly happy man is filled with beer.” After coining that phrase, you don’t think this anonymous Egyptian from 2200 BC kept it to himself. I can see him raise his drinking vessel to his Nile-side neighbors while repeating the words.

Every country in the world has some sort of traditional drinking toast, often dozens. Usually one or two words, common toasts are not in the same league with toasts to the bride (which can drone on for hours), or to the retiree who’s been with us for 30 years but would rather get to his food while it’s hot. All of these really should be briefer, especially if a meal is being served. The everyday, no black tie, corner pub toasts exist in every culture and the vast majority simply mean ‘I wish you good health’. Not surprisingly it is the English who have strayed from the norm. ‘Cheers’, ‘Down the Hatch’, ‘Bottoms up’ and many more. I always assumed the latter referred to the bottom of the glass, however the Hawaiians have taken this literally. ‘Okole Maluna’ means ‘buttocks up’. I am including a list of multi-national toasts to impress your friends and use as a sign of respect when in the company of people from different cultures.

Here’s a bit of etiquette to go with your cosmopolitan language skills. It is customary to toast the first round, and let the host go first. There is some controversy over the clinking of glasses. It is said that the tradition started as a sly way to test the authenticity of the host’s crystal. Whether the Vikings clinked wooden goblets or not, it is considered more civilized to ‘touch glasses’ rather than bash together in a resounding crash. And while you’re about it, serve on the left and remove from the right!

Toasts From Many Lands

This is just a sampling of simple drinking toasts from around the world. Some are impossible to find in language dictionaries as they are colloquial phrases, slang or in dialect. I apologize in advance for spelling mistakes: I’m no linguist. Meanings have been included when I could find them. Fill in the blanks if you can. Some are just a general ‘cheers’. If you were making a bet on possible translation, you wouldn’t lose money by suggesting that every one of these toasts is wishing the recipient continued health and general well being. My spell check is about to go wild!

How to Say No to Demanding People

In a wonderful book called “The Four Agreements”, Don Miguel Ruiz says the following, “Find your voice to ask for what you want. Everybody has the right to tell you no or yes, but you always have the right to ask.” When it comes to creating healthy boundaries, no other statement rings as true. You have the right to say no to anyone or anything. You have the right to turn down a request, a favor, an extra project at work, a last-minute, rushed babysitting request from a sibling who only calls you when he/she needs something. You are not an ATM that someone can enter in a code and get back a return at will. You are a human being with rights, responsibilities and interests all your own. You have the right to make your life and your family your priority.

Even knowing this doesn’t seem to keep people in a zone to powerfully and clearly say ‘No’ to demanding people. Demanding people are a unique breed. On the outside, they seem confident, poised, focused and able to get anything and everything they want. But pay closer attention to the tactics used to get what they want and what you’ll find is that demanding people are some of the most insecure, low self-esteem people you will ever meet. Any time you have to pout, whine, yell or demand to get your needs met, what you’re clearly showing is this: you don’t feel worthy enough to get what you need without the seemingly added advantage of anger, control and fear.

Demanding people will sap your energy, waste your time, and cause you to feel used, abused, and unfulfilled. Say no to that type of treatment. No matter who the demanding person is (family, friend, co-worker, parent, sibling, boss, spouse), it’s time you stand up for yourself. The next time a demanding person attempts to overpower your no by convincing you to say yes, here are five phrases you need to respond with if you are to create a clear and strong boundary line with that person:

1) My answer is no and that’s final (and then walk away, hang up the phone, or change the subject).

2) I’ve made major commitments to other people so I’m not available to help you with that. What other options can you now use? With this phrase, you turn the situation back to the person who owns the issue: the demander.

3) I won’t do that and I won’t explain so don’t ask for an explanation. Again, it’s about setting a clear boundary concisely and then holding to it. Be careful not to get caught up in the defending-explaining-justifying syndrome where you spend fifteen to twenty minutes talking about why you’re saying no. That clearly tells the demanding person that you don’t trust your own judgment. Moreover, it confirms to them that you can be convinced otherwise.

4) I notice that you can get very demanding when you don’t get what you want. Unfortunately, my answer is firm so any more talk about it will be wasting both of our time. This is a harsh way to say no but harshness is sometimes necessary for someone who doesn’t take no for an answer. Say this like you mean it and that person will get the message.

5) You’re really good at expecting people to drop everything they’re doing to accommodate you and I’ve bought into that for a long time. But that time is over. My needs are as important to me as your needs are to you and since those have to come first, my answer is no. This statement really addresses past behavior and spells out clearly that while you may have been a people-pleaser before, it is something you are now choosing to no longer do. When you say this statement, you better mean it.

At the end of the day, it’s not simply what you say but HOW you say it. Demanding people use their tone of voice, body language, and their words to push their agendas on other people. If you’re going to be a person who can set a firm boundary with someone who’s demanding, you’ll need to command the strength, clarity, and definiteness of purpose that it takes to concisely, completely and firmly state the truth. It’s not about people liking you or needing you. At the end of the day, if you don’t say yes to a demander, he or she will find someone who will. Do not be deceived by excuses, pleas or threats. You have the right to say no. Exercise that right.

What Is Your Wall Trying to Say?

When you paint your walls a certain color, you can invoke a mood. The mood you set will help you to feel at home in a setting. It can also invoke certain feelings within you. It’s amazing that a wall color can do this. In the following article, we will explore paint and what each color can mean.

Blue

Blue is a calming color. It’s good in a bedroom as it helps people relax. When you see blue walls, you may feel like you have blue skies around you.

Purple is a lux color that helps people to feel special. You minus well roll out the red carpet and take out a crown when you paint a space purple. In modern decor, purple looks good in contradiction to tiling in a kitchen. It can add a modern flair that is on trend.

Red

Roses are red, violets are blue, but when you see red, you might get hungry. It is a color to also makes you feel excited. Red in a dining room is super classy. It will also help people to get ready to dig in to the festivities.

Green

Green is an energetic shade that is often under-utilized. Green can give a sense of joy to those that perceive it. It can be great in an entrance way to a home.

Brown

There used to be a trend about ten years ago of painting everything brown. Brown the town so that it looks super modern. Brown can be a comforting color, so it is a wonder that they use it. It reminds people of simpler times.

Orange

Orange is a bit of a fun, uncanny color. It is a wholesome color that is a bit like a pumpkin carving session on a Fall day. Orange is a spicy color that you can put anywhere you want an unusual feel, like a bathroom.

White, Black, and Grey I group these together because they’re not really colors, per say. They are more like shades. These shades will make a home look elegant. Those who like to decorate with decor not colors like to utilize these

The Different Ways Men Say "I Love You"

“I can sleep with her, marry her, take care of her, but to say I love you” that’s something else” said Tony, a married man in his late forties. “Guys don’t like to talk about love. They don’t know what to say.”

Of course guys do love. But they express it differently. Despite this fact, most women do not feel happy unless they hear those golden words, I love you. Men need to hear them as well. And yet, as much as men want love, many fight it to the last minute.

Love can make men feel vulnerable, childlike, and unable to do what’s expected of them. Yet, naturally, men do love and different types of men express their love differently. A woman needs to be alert to who the man she is with is, and what love means to him. Here are five different ways that men express what they are feeling.

The first way is simply by saying “I Love You.”Actually, saying these words is a huge step for some men. It means a lot more than simply expressing a feeling. For some it feels like a life commitment, for others it is fraught with danger.

“When I say I love you,”said Steve, “I feel like I’m taking my life in my hands and giving it to her. It’s scary. I’ve got to really trust her and know she won’t throw my love away in order to actually say the words to her.”

In this case the fear of rejection comes up strongly. Rejection is enormously painful for most men, and saying “I Love You” can be an invitation to be hurt. Most men must feel very secure in the relationship and in the woman’s feelings for him, before he’ll dare say those words.

For others, saying “I love you,” means, I’m offering a commitment. I’m going to be here to do things for you. For many men, love is expressed through action, so these words are a promise of what is to follow. Simply by saying these words they feel they are agreeing to be there to give to her and support her. If they don’t do it, they’ll feel like a heel.

For others, the words means, I’m not leaving, or I’ll always be faithful. This can be very scary for some men. They feel the words themselves are a promise, and if the promise is broken, they will suffer as well. However, there is another type of man, who enjoys falling in love and letting the world know it. These men will say “I Love You” easily. There are many different motives behind their words though. Some say it to get a woman to make love with him, others to enter into a romantic fantasy, some to feel as though they are a great lover. By saying these words, some seem to be offering the woman the world, (that they have no intention of giving).

Others say it just for the sheer pleasure of seeing how good it makes the woman feel, and how effective he feels as well. When a woman hears those precious words, she should step back a moment and put them in context. What do they mean to this particular man, and are there other ways she might also realize that he is expressing his love for her?

Another way men express their love is through bringing gifts to the woman. There are many different kinds of gifts a man can give. The obvious ones include those wrapped in packages, candy, flowers, special notes. But there are others that a woman may or may not be aware of. For example, for some men, giving their time to you, is a gift. When they spend more time with you, and less with family and friends, this is their way of saying they love you.

A different way some men express their love is by standing up for you during a ifficult time, attending important functions with you, going with you to your family, planning trips, dates or outings, and putting you first in their thoughts. These behaviors are often indicators that the man cares a great deal. .

Believe it or not, some men express their love through being jealous, or possessive. They do not want to share your attention. It is especially upsetting to these men if you speak of or look at other guys. Although being controlled is not being loved, to many men and women, the two overlap. Many women feel cared for when the man is possessive of her. “It”s a sign that he cares a great deal,” said Renee. “Sure, it can be annoying that he’s so controlling, but if he wasn’t, truthfully, I don’t think I’d feel loved or cared about.”

For Renee this kind of behavior produces a sense of security. It lets her know she’s on his mind and she translates this to mean that he cares. Although this trait can get out of hand, when it is just part of the overall equation, it often is the way a man expresses his involvement and love. He doesn’t want to lose you. He wants to be the most important person in your life and to be on your mind all the time. If he is, he feels loved as well.

Other men say “I love you” by being affectionate and making love to you. After being intimate they feel as though they’ve loved you, and often feel loved as well. The physical contact breaks down barriers and provides a feeling of closeness that they do not feel otherwise.

Some women require hearing words of love spoken when they are being intimate. This is a complex area, because sex can mean so many different things to different individuals. But for many men love means meeting her needs and having his needs met as well. They feel that if the sex is good, everything else will fall into place. Sex can be a sensitive barometer to what’s going on in all aspects of the relationship. Another way of saying “I Love You” is taking you home to meet the family, (and/or close, meaningful friends). Not only does it say that he’s proud of you, but he wants to connect you with the people who mean the most to him. This is often a sign that you are becoming a significant part of his life.

Other men compartmentalize relationships, they have someone for dating, someone for sex, someone else for the kind of love that leads to marriage. By being aware of the people in his life that he introduces you to, and includes you with, you can get a good idea of how he operates in this area. Does he want you in all parts of his life, or is this a limited relationship?

Love, in the deepest sense, includes sharing all parts of ourselves with another. It is helpful to keep a little journal of your relationship. So many acts and expressions of love go unnoticed and unfelt, because we simply get used to them, or are too busy to stop and take note, or to stop and say thank you. In the journal of your relationship, take a few minutes to note, what you received that day, and also what you gave. Write it down. Be specific. List everything, like phone calls, kind words, a surprise visit, etc. It will be amazing to you to realize all the ways your partner is giving to you, and it will be wonderful to find new ways to give back.
