Want to Impress Your Latin Boyfriend? Here Are 3 Easy Ways to His Love

While waiting in Princeton University Hospital for the birth of my grandson, Sharon the nurse was joyfully chatting away. After awhile, the conversation turned to dating and she confided in me that she had just started seeing a Latin man. She really enjoyed his company and want to make a good impression on him.

She was hoping my Latino heritage could give her some insight into his personality. Sharon wanted to make a real impression on her new boyfriend. She was a bit shy and a slow approach was what she was looking for.

I went over three key important areas in the Latin relationship:

  • You must only be his
  • He loves to have fun and romance
  • You must know your place in the home

Women often must face different traditions, and cultures that have been taught to their Latin boyfriends by their mothers. Depending on his age, this may only be a generation away from very strict morale values and customs.

First simple rule. Behave always as a Lady. Know that he loves his family, especially his mother and grand mother. Follow a low profile when meeting his sisters and aunts. Dress to impress though, it will go a long way.

Second, Never discuss at length about any past relationship. Your Latin boyfriend does not want to talk about other men past or present. Remember now that you met him , there never really has ever been anyone else!

Third, learn to dance, take up Salsa lessons, or just go on line and learn a step or two. Salsa dancing is a lot of fun and it will impress him that you took the time to learn. If you often cook for him, throw in a Spanish dish. A simple white rice and black bean side dish is all you need to impress your Latin boyfriend. Goya foods have plenty of receipts on line.

Sharon was pleased with our chat and took notes on cooking some Spanish dishes. She already made white rice, but now with a touch of lime in it, it would be real fluffy and tangy.

It was a great experience to see the birth of my grandson. I thanked Sharon for all her support and taught her a few Spanish words to whisper in his ear in for extra points in her favor.
