FACT: While skateboarding has always enjoyed popularity among hardcore enthusiasts, it wasn’t until the creation (and successful marketing) of the X-Games which really drove skateboarders to the forefront. FACT: In the United States of America, skateboarding is now the third most popular participant sporting activity. What’s even more incredible is that, the average age of a skateboarding fan is approximately thirteen years old. Yet, as skateboarding climbs in popularity and stature, more and more people, both younger and older than thirteen, are grabbing a deck and trying to skateboard for themselves.

FACT: Many people don’t know this or are unaware, but there are some skateboard decks which are rated towards the weight of the person intending to ride them.
