The Buck Ghost Rider folding knife is a versatile tool that can be appreciated by hunters, police officers and knife collectors alike. With a suggested retail value of $44, you can have a rugged Buck knife at a fraction of the cost.
What I like about the knife:
1. The tiger striped blade is both sexy and practical. Military and law enforcement personnel appreciate this feature because of it’s non-reflective finish, while I just think it looks really cool.
2. You might not expect much in terms of sharpness for such an affordable knife, but my Ghost Rider came sharp enough to shave right out of the box. The blade is composed of 420 HC steel, which I have always had positive experiences with.
3. Ergonomically speaking, the knife is designed very well. The Ghost Rider fits comfortably in your hands and the G-10 handle provides a sandpaper-like grip that will hold up for many years.
4. Each Ghost Rider is half serrated, which I especially enjoy for utility work on a daily basis. I’ve found that the serrations help you to cut through cardboard or fibrous material like butter.
5. To give you extra cutting power, Buck implemented jimping (thumb grooves) on the spine of the blade. This is helpful when you need to cut through something in a hurry.
What I didnt like:
This knife is only available with a 3 inch blade. I would like to see it made with a 4-5 inch blade for tactical applications.
Overall:
The Buck Ghost Rider is a steal for the money. It is sharp, strong, and built to last you many years. Definitely worth checking out!
