Free Picks for MLB Betting

FREE MLB PICKS

Major League Baseball is a serious attraction for bettors not least because the MLB season which usually runs from April to November offers a total of 2,430 games over the period, but also because Baseball is quite unlike other sports in that there is no set standard point spread per fixture. MLB picks for a single ballgame can come in a variety of forms such as wagers on run totals, run line, futures, parlays, propositions, series and so on.

These innumerable MLB picks offer no shortage of prospects for bettors to make good winnings on their picks and has actually birthed models and methodical approaches and schemings to produce arguably the most statistically-driven sport in the world. While betting models for MLB picks may advance year on, no one system is perfect and can out rightly guarantee winnings. Hence bettors still need to have a good understanding of how picks work in the MLB and useful strategies.

Moneyline Picks

To get started with MLB picks, bettors have to have a firm grasp of money lines as it is the most popular pick in the sport. Simply put, the bettor just needs to pick the winner of a game. Much like in most other sports, a baseball game has an underdog and a favorite. The difference lies in the odds not the point spread. For instance, in a game between Boston Red Sox (+300) and Los Angeles Angels (-330), the Angels are a -330 favorite over the Red Sox, meaning that if you are going for this MLB pick, you want to wager -330 to win -100. That is, if the Angels win the game, the bookmaker will pay you $430 -your initial $330 stake and the $100 winning. Bookmakers sometimes office more significant odds on the underdog because it is considered a bigger risk than staking on the favorite.

Run Line Picks

Run line bets are quite similar to money line bets in MLB but with an additional twist. Here, not only are you picking a winner for an MLB game, you are also wagering that the winning team will win by a specific number of runs or lose the game by less than a specific number of runs. Essentially, the run line is a -1.5 or +1.5 point spread allotted to either sides in an MLB match-up. While the minus depicts the favourites, the positive sign shows the underdogs. If you stake on a run line MLP pick for the favorites, you are wagering that they will win by at least two runs. If the favored side won by only a single run, you would have lost your stake. Choosing a run line pick on the underdog indicates that you believe the underdog side will only lose by one run or win the game outright. A strong pull for bettings on run line MLB picks is that it allows them to wager on a team that they believe is going to over perform yet likely to lose the game.

Over-Under Bets

Some bettors are looking to avoid making a decision on who wins an MLB game but only wager on total combined score of a team or game. This is where the Over/Under picks come in useful. They are sometimes referred to as total bets and are stakes on whether the total number of runs scored in a baseball game will arrive above a set limit or below it. Bookmakers typically use a number of factors to arrive at a chosen limit for the over and under picks and these numbers often offer the same pay out figures. If an over/under pick is set at 9.5, it means you will require the combined score to be nine or less if you staked on under. If you wagered on over, you will need ten with very little to choose between the poor and great teams.

Celebrity Cellulite Elimination Secret Revealed

A massage feels so good, right! Muscles that are tight and stressed, affecting nerves and general well being, are worked on and loosened up.

With massage, muscles begin the process of getting back to doing what they are supposed to do, provide fluid motion and unrestricted movement. All it takes is a little stimulation… Massage addresses tension and stress in the muscles, in essence, toxins are released and flushed out of the muscle structure…In the same way you can get rid of hideous and unwanted cellulite.

Celebrities are usually the people we look to for trends and solutions to everyday problems, sad fact, but true. More and more celebrities are looking for a non-invasive, safe way to combat their cellulite and are doing it at home… saving themselves a load of stress and embarrassment at the possibility that they may bump into stalking paparazzi on their way to a cellulite reduction session, and have their lumpy cellulite thighs or arms discussed, debated and generally ridiculed on every news broadcast and talk show worldwide…

When cells stop functioning correctly, several things happen. Observation over time will confirm that fat cells located close to the surface of the skin become clogged and stagnant, leading to the formation of that condition women hate most…. cellulite. Stagnation, the word reeks of slime and sludge, is the build up of toxic waste in the fat cells that just don’t work efficiently anymore. Effectively the cells need to be stimulated. They need to be massaged, they need cupping therapy massage.

No, this is not having several more cups of coffee per day, in fact coffee is part of the cellulite problem,so stop…

This is a relatively new technique of massage therapy that directly targets the cellulite areas. It gets the cells working again, loosening the semi solidified toxic waste deposits and enabling fluids of the lymphatic system to flow normally through the fat cells, flushing the sludge away and kick-starting the process of cell revival.

A massage therapist will work on and manipulate muscle. Cupping massage therapy is a cellulite treatment that works on and manipulates the cells under the skin (up to 4 inches deep).

Massage is the key to getting the body and muscle structure back in sync.

Cupping therapy massage is the key to fighting cellulite, getting the fat cells and lymphatic system in synergy, to eliminate lumpy toxic build up and waste from the cells themselves.

With the revolutionary new silicone cupping therapy massage cup and technique, treatment is easy and can be done in the privacy and comfort of your home. All you need to do is spend a few minutes (less than 10 minutes recommended) every day performing the cellulite massage treatment, before a bath, in a bath or after a bath or shower using your favorite cream or oils as a lubricant for the cups to glide smoothly over the affected areas. Positive results have been reported on the very first treatment.

Too bad, you can’t visit the massage therapist every day but you can treat yourself at home and it’s palatable financially.

This is Harder Than Golf!

Growing up as a kid in New Jersey we were all playing handball on a wall for fun and exercise. It didn’t cost any money to play and the only gear required was a ball and a wall. The wall could be anywhere, as long as the surrounding area was relatively flat. We played for hours on end.

Then, years later, I became acquainted with handball as it’s meant to be played, in a full-sized court. This was quite different and so much more geometrically complicated than the game I learned as a kid. Adding three walls and the ceiling as additional playing surfaces really speeds up the game (compared to the old one-wall version).

For me, gloves became mandatory for playing handball. Even with the gloves there was still pain when executing many shots, but at least the sting was minimized. I still usually walked out of the courts with welts on my wrists from all the shots I’d ‘just missed’. This seemed like a pretty macho game and was good exercise too.

I later learned about the availability of racket ball (or racquetball), which is played on the same court as handball. Using rackets instead of one’s hands alleviates most of the pain of the game. Of course, getting smacked in the face by someone’s fast-moving racket will smart but that’s a risk players must take. It’s a good idea to wear protective glasses.

I noticed the court next to the one I usually used was different than its neighbor in that it had more lines painted on the walls and seemed smaller. This, I found out was a squash court and I was subsequently asked by a friend if I wanted to try it out. He lent me his extra squash racquet and we gave it a whirl. It was okay but not nearly as much fun for me as racquetball.

Back in the corner, just past the tennis stringing machine was a large display of all things ‘racket’. They even had ping-pong stuff in that section. I guess ping-pong is a racket game too, in a sense… sort of a mini version of tennis.

Now I’ve ‘graduated’ to ping-pong. This game is fun and easy and the whole family likes to play. The table was simple to set up and the equipment very reasonably priced. We have a lot of fun.

Motorcycle Tyre Codes

INTRODUCTION

When considering motorcycle tyre replacement, it’s best not to take any chances. If you want to use tyres other than those recommended by your motorcycle manufacturer, there are many options available. But you need to make sure that any deviation from what’s recommended is suitable for your bike, safe and within the law. Understanding the information on a tyre’s sidewall will help in making the right decision. A key part of that is the motorcycle tyre code.

MOTORCYCLE TYRE CODE

190 / 50 ZR 17 (73W) TL

Shown above is a typical code for the rear tyre of a larger capacity motorcycle. Below is an explanation of each element.

190

Width of the Tyre – Measured across its widest point in millimetres

50

Aspect Ratio – The aspect ratio is the height of the tyre’s sidewall in relation to its width (shown as a percentage). So with this example, the sidewall height will be 50% of 190 millimetres = 95 millimetres.

Z

Speed Rating – In this particular tyre code the ‘Z’ is one of two speed ratings. Although the ‘Z’ indicates the tyre is suitable for speeds over 240 kph (149 mph), it doesn’t tell us the maximum permissible speed. An additional speed rating, shown in parenthesis towards the end of the tyre code, will give this information. Both should be used in combination.

Other speed ratings:

R = 170 kph (106 mph)

S = 180 kph (112 mph)

T = 190 kph (118 mph)

U = 200 kph (124 mph)

H = 210 kph (130 mph)

V = 240 kph (149 mph)

Z = Over 240 kph (149 mph)

W = 270 kph (168 mph)

Y = 300 kph (186 mph)

R

Construction Type – R = Radial construction. B = Bias-Belted construction.

Note: If omitted, the tyre will be cross ply construction.

17

Wheel Rim Diameter – This is the wheel diameter the tyre fits, measured in inches.

73

Load Index – To find the actual weight the number represents, you’ll need to refer to a tyre ‘Load Index’ table. With this example, 73 = 365 kg (805 lbs). Most manufacturers also state the maximum load in kilograms and pounds somewhere else on the tyre sidewall, so eliminating the need for a ‘Load Index’ table.

W

Speed Rating – Usually shown in parenthesis with the load index number. The load applied to the tyre has an effect on its maximum speed, that’s why the two are shown together. With this example, the maximum speed for the tyre will be 270 kph (168 mph) when at its maximum load of 365 kg (805 lbs). When not under maximum load the tyre can be safely operated at higher speeds. In the unlikely event you regularly ride at speeds exceeding the speed rating of your own tyres, contact the tyre manufacturer for advice, or refer to the ETRTO guidelines (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation).

TL

TL = Tubeless.

TT = Tubetype (an inner-tube must be used).

OTHER TYRE MARKINGS

Direction of Rotation Arrow – The tyre must rotate in the direction of the arrow when the motorcycle is moving forward.

Date of Manufacture – Usually shown as a 4 figure number. The first two digits represent the week of manufacture, the second two digits represent the year of manufacture. Example: 5107 will mean the tyre was produced in the 51st week of 2007 (December, 2007). Example: 0611 will mean the tyre was produced in the 6th week of 2011 (February, 2011).

Note: Tyre rubber will degrade over time, even when not fitted to a vehicle. Although there’s no hard and fast rule about how old is too old, it’s generally accepted that tyres should be replaced 5 or 6 years from their date of manufacture.

TWI (Tread Wear Indicator) – Most motorcycle tyres have wear bars located inside the tread grooves. The wear bars are raised about 2 mm above the bottom of the tread groove and positioned at various places around the tyre. When the tyre has worn level with the wear bars it should be replaced. A small triangle on the sidewall is often used to show their position.

M/C – Suitable for motorcycle use.

MAX. PSI – The maximum pressure the tyre can be inflated to in pounds per square inch.

MAX. BAR – The maximum pressure the tyre can be inflated to in Bar. This is the standard unit of pressure in most European countries outside the UK (1 bar = 14.50 psi).

E Mark. – Tyres sold in Europe must comply with European standards and be marked with an ‘E’ code. The number that follows this letter will indicate the country that has approved the tyre for road use. The American equivalent is the DOT code (Department of Transport).

Main Features and Benefits of CNC Milling Machine

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machine is one of the common machine tools in machinery industry. It is the popular form of CNC that can perform those repetitive tasks of drilling and turning that used to be human jobs long time ago.

CNC Mills are classified based on the number of axes that they have. Axes are labeled as x and y for horizontal movement, and z for vertical movement.

Basically, this machine have four axes which are Milling Head Z, Table Z, Table Y, Table X. The quantity of axes it has is often presented in many different ways.

For example, there are a five-axis machine. The extra 5th axis is in the form of a horizontal pivot for the milling head that ensure the excellent flexibility of machining with the end mill at an angle follow the table.

It is usually programmed by using a series of standard commands that we named it as G-codes to represent specific CNC tasks in alpha-numeric form.

There are many different sizes for this machine based on the purpose and location of usage, as well as the materials that need to be cut.

Besides that, the size of motor affects the speed of cutting the materials. Normally, materials like plastic and wood are the easiest things to cut, unlike steel that need more stronger milling machine and longer time.

To evaluate the perfomance of milling, we can look at its rigidity. For example, the more rigid a mill is, the more precisely it drills and cuts. CNC mills normally have better & tougher engines for higher rigidity compared to manual counterparts.

With CNC milling machine, we can improve the speed of cut compared to manual operation. It also reduced the rejection when rigidity results increased.Thus, in long run business, it will indeed save a lot of time and overhead due to less wastage happened.

Another benefits is the accuracy of cut through CNC milling machine with a computer numerically controlled machine. In production line, it is very important to have all the parts produced exactly the same. However, nothing is perfect. CNC milling machine may also have a possibility of fault lies in the operator due to a mill can cut with absolute precision as close as.0001 of an inch.

In addition, many mills have a beds that be able to move at different angles for easy cutting jobs, different angled cut as well as more difficult drilling operation. This is one of the benefits over manual mills.

Lastly, with the automated cooling systems, it is able to maintain the quality of raw material by spraying or blasting the hot metal or even tooling with specially formulated coolant.

With the benefits of CNC milling machine stated above, it is really worth the money to invest a CNC milling machine for your business use. And there are the popular brands that available in the market, such as Mori Seiki, Dahlih, CNC Takang, DMTG, Mastika, HACO, Takisawa, Okamoto, Creator, Agma, L & L, Hurco, Okuma, Extron, Enshu, Equiptop, Komatsu.

Who Is Stronger? Son Goku Vs Vegeta

Dragon Ball Z is definitely one of the most popular anime shows for the past 30 years. The comparison of the two Saiyans in the show Son Goku and Vegeta to see who is stronger and more powerful has always been a hot topic. Goku fans would argue that Goku is stronger because he has reached Super Saiyan 3 form which Vegeta didn’t. Vegeta fans would say that Vegeta surpassed Goku by achieving a new form, Super Saiyan Blue 2 when he pushed his limits and went beyond Super Saiyan. Now let’s take a closer comparison from a comprehensive perspective.

Goku vs Vegeta First Fight

At their first fight, while Vegeta came to Earth trying to destroy it, Goku defeated Vegeta. But Goku only won the fight because he got help from Krillin and Gohan, Vegeta couldn’t have lost it if he had the chance to fight Goku one-on-one. So we can tell that, when Goku and Vegeta first met, Vegeta was more powerful than Goku. After the first fight, both Goku and Vegeta had went through more trainings and growth. The rivalry between Goku and Vegeta continues throughout the whole series.

Who is more powerful throughout the whole show?

When asked who is more powerful in the whole series, Goku is definitely the winner. Because Goku has been the warrior to beat some of the most powerful enemies while Vegeta however failed to achieve. To be fair, in the beginning Vegeta was surely more powerful than Goku. But as the anime show progresses, we can tell that Goku has always been one step ahead in terms of power upgrade. Goku unlocked the Super Saiyan form way before Vegeta and he even upgraded to Super Saiyan 3 form while Vegeta didn’t even aware of its existence.

Who is a better fighter?

Though Vegeta doesn’t have as much power as Goku, he surely knows how to fight better than Goku. Vegeta’s fighting skills outperform Goku’s not only in techniques but also in strategies. If we recall their fight during the Majin Buu saga, Vegeta won because he was the better fighter, not because he was more powerful. The reason to this is probably that Goku was trained by martial arts masters while Vetega was trained by Saiyan warriors.

Who has better attacks?

Although both Goku and Vegeta have powerful attacks, Goku acquired his attacks mostly by learning or copying from his allies or other warriors. For example, Goku learned the Kamehameha attack after seeing it performed by others. On the other hand, most of Vegeta’s signature attacks like Galick Gun, Big Bang attack are invented by his own. So we can say that while their attacks are roughly at the same level, Vegeta is much more creative in terms of developing his fighting moves.

In summary

From all of the points mentioned above, we get a conclusion that Goku is stronger than Vegeta in terms of power boosts and transformations. However, Vegeta is much better in fighting skills and attack creation. Due to this balance, we have enjoyed watching the rivalry between Goku and Vegeta throughout the show. The good news is whether you are a Goku fan or Vegeta fan, our Dragon Ball Z merchandise store offers some cool Son Goku and Vegeta action figures with high quality and affordable price. Please feel free to check our Dragon Ball Z action figures section and let us know if you like them.

Editorial Differences

  • Having so much access to American television here in Australia means we grow up seeing words spelt the way they spell them the United States. Different to us and mostly not acceptable for Australians to use at school, Uni or in business. Even our spell checkers default at the US spelling often. It drives me nuts when my daughter who is seven says, candy instead of lollies, flashlight instead of torch, drugstore instead of chemist, sidewalk rather than footpath and states she is taking a shower instead of having one. One thing that’s easy to remember is that Americans use ‘z’ in many words, where we use ‘s’ and even pronounce ‘Z’ contrarily. Examples of ‘Z’ usage; antagonize versus antagonise, analysed and analysed, appetizer and appetiser and so on. Americans often also shorten words by removing a letter such as, anesthetic and anaesthetic, archeological and archaeological, mold versus mould, favor as opposed to favour and behaviour and behaviour. There are word alterations like center versus centre, color versus colour, tire and tyre, plow and plough and so on and on. So, who have we to blame or thank for all this American drama? The nineteenth century, American lexicographer, Mr Noah Webster, of the dictionary fame. He supposed making the changes away from British language would make America more superior and set them aside. It has certainly set them aside.
  • The Oxford comma, Harvard comma or serial comma. There are supporters for and against the use of it. It is also known as the pretentious comma and at the end of the day is optional and up to the author unless following a particular style. We in Australia don’t use it as often as Americans although there are arguments that it clarifies meanings within sentences that may be confusing otherwise. What is it? It is the comma positioned directly before the coordinating conjunction such as: and, or, or nor in a sequence of three terms or more. An example using the Oxford comma is: I have a recipe, a pot, and an oven. Not using the comma would look like: I have a recipe, a pot and an oven.
  • The exclamation mark has been called the cheap whore of punctuation. My thoughts are, there is a place for it, but professionally it does not belong. The more the merrier also should not apply and as F. Scott Fitzgerald said ‘Cut out all these exclamation points. An exclamation point is like laughing at your own joke.’ It’s a useful way of conveying emotions, irony, annoyance, or friendliness when used six at a time for instance as a text, or on Facebook, email or any other electronic means. In addition, this sets up the foundation for others to respond similarly with 17!!!!! or ???????, such as, ‘I just jumped out of a plane and my parachute opened!!!!!!’ Really?????? Cool!!!!!!’ Ridiculous.
  • I love the logogram ampersand (&) which epitomises ‘and’ but when used correctly. Not for use willy nilly or in some haphazard manner. It does not save on your word count students. An ampersand originated from Latin of course, as et which meant and. An example of good use could be in a business title like Anders & Wallace Editing or in academic references such as (Anders & Judd, 2007). It wouldn’t be appropriate to use to write something like, ‘They put the bricks & mortar against the wall.’
  • Font use looks like fun. But there’s a place for countless font practice like on a circus banner or in a comic. That’s right people comic sans as whimsical as it is, should be used in a comic – and nowhere else. Particular fonts work better on hardcopy (times new roman, courier or fonts with feet/serif) and others better on screen (Sans-serif, Helvetica, Century gothic, Verdana, Arial or fonts without feet/sans serif). Although pixel resolution has changed you still need to consider small devices. I think use of a particular font or fonts can really affect readability so my advice is not to ‘blend it up’. That’s okay when making a mixed tape but not for a letter or other document. Keep your readers. Don’t use impact for a whole page, or kitch it up with pages of Bradley hand and papyrus… well pffftt. I have no idea what wingdings is for.

What Sets Nike Shoes Apart From Competition?

There are thousands of topics available as long as we talk about Nike shoes, such as, what Nike Air Max shoes series is, the history of Nike shoes, and etc. But have you think of why we always talk about it? Here comes our topic: What sets Nike shoes apart from competition?

Among varies of sports footwear competition, why Nike stands out and wins popularity worldwide:

1. Quality

No matter how much things have changed, one thing will never change, that is, the principle why we buy shoes. What we purchased is always the quality, the comfort. Above all the factors that affect our final decision, the quality of shoes always comes first. Just imagine, without a comfortable shoes, how can we go somewhere and be someone.

2. Fashion

No one can resist the temptation of fashion. Instead of being conservative and complacent, Nike works hard to establish sports shoes with up-to-date style. It doesn’t only meet the needs of young people, but also the requirements of everyone including child and other people.

3. Technology

It is 21st century which means it is a high-tech era; it is a world fulfilled with competition as well. As Nike is proud of its innovation, it never stops surprising us by bringing new technology to its shoes, as my last article “Nike Releases New Technology Torch”.

4. NIKEiD

Different people have different interests, no company can create one thing that could fit everyone`s demand, thus the existence of NIKEiD became naturally and necessarily. It enables us to customize shoes purchased from Nike and at the same time, made the customer the designer as we change and add a personal look and feel to selected sportswear.

Perhaps you have some other reasons, all in all, all the factors made Nike shoes set apart from competition. Details make thing perfect.

Boomers Blamed for Demise of Emoji

So, have you heard? Supposedly, the laugh cry emoji has become uncool and using it is a sure sign you’re old.

Stop the presses!

Gen Z – those born after 1997 – have apparently declared this to be so on social media, especially TikTok.

This despite the fact that the emoji has been extremely popular since 2017. As a CNN article noted: “‘Face with Tears of Joy,’ the official name for the laughing crying emoji, is the most-used emoji on Emojitracker, a website that shows real-time emoji use on Twitter.” In 2020, it was still the most popular emoji.

So, what happened?

Are Baby Boomers to Blame?

Of course, as with everything else, we boomers are being blamed for its demise. Jeremy Burge, the chief emoji officer of Emojipedia, recently wrote a blog post that said: “It’s common wisdom on TikTok that the laughing crying emoji is for boomers. And by boomers I mean anyone over the age of 35.”

God forbid, teenagers and young adults don’t want to be seen using the same emoji as their grandparents! But we aren’t the only targets as evidenced by Burge’s over-35 comment.

Interestingly enough the millennials (those born between 1980-1996), many of whom are trying to remain cool as they approach their 30s and 40s, also seem to be the target this time around. Add to the millennial’s overuse of this suddenly uncool emoji, calling their dog “doggo” (didn’t even realize this was a thing), skinny jeans, and even side parts are also out and a sign that you’re old and “out of touch.”

As one millennial writer put it in an article for Yahoo!Sports: “As a life-long side parter, ouch.”

According to that article, Gen Z also makes fun of the way millennials use the word “adulting”, their addiction to avocado toast and Starbucks coffee, and the way they refer to themselves as “90 kids.”

It’s Karma Folks

What’s kind of funny about all this is that some millennials have been making fun of us boomers for years.

Remember the popular phrase, “OK Boomer” that began circulating a couple of years ago? As I wrote in a blog on this subject, the term seemed to insinuate us boomers are old-fashioned, resistant to change, behind on technology, and out of touch.

So, I guess, what goes around comes around.

Nonetheless, I hate to see anyone using insulting and dismissive catchphrases purely based on what generation people happen to be born in – which is completely out of our control, by the way. One day, Gen Z will become old and no doubt get a taste of their own medicine. Everyone does get old eventually, you know.

Myself, I’m tired of the way all the social platforms has made insulting each other way too easy. I’m tired of ageism. I wish mutual respect could replace this senseless mocking of each other. Why can’t the “generation gap” become uncool and out-of-date?

Saying all that, don’t take it too hard, millennials. One day, you’ll get to our age and you just won’t care as much what other people think.

After a recent viral TikTok listed all the things millennials do that Gen Z doesn’t approve of, millennials responded by defending their fashion choices, hairstyles, and emoji usage. They pointed out that Gen Z once encouraged each other to eat Tide Pods as a viral challenge and that younger people lack the ability to write in cursive. So there! But does all of this really matter?

Take comfort, millennials, you’ll reach the age when you won’t care what anyone else thinks about your emoji habits and won’t feel this need to defend your choices.

In fact, I think this boomer will use the laugh cry emoji even more just to be rebellious. And my side part is staying too. And even though I’m not a millennial, I do enjoy me some avocado toast from time to time.

That’s the great thing about getting older, as I wrote about when I turned 60. I know what matters, and the overuse of an emoji isn’t one of them! Make fun of us, but being an older adult is liberating in that sense.

Don’t worry, millennials. You’ll get there.
