How And When To Use Por, Para and Porque in Spanish

Some beginner students (and advanced) usually have some problems with when they should use POR, PARA or PORQUE and it can be one of the most frustrating topics to learn in all of Spanish. In this lesson we are going to review some rules to recognize when we should use one or another.

We use POR when we want to speak about the reason behind something. In this case you have to use a noun after POR.

POR + Noun: “Me gusta Buenos Aires por el clima.” (I like Buenos Aires because of the weather.)

“Como pollo por las proteínas que tiene.” (I eat chicken because it has protein.)

In Spanish you should use PARA when you are speaking about the objective of an action or the objective of an object. In this case you will use the verb in the infinitive form. PARA + Infinitive Verb: “Ahorro dinero para viajar a otro pais”. (I save money to travel to another country.)/ “El lapiz sirve para escribir.” (The pencil is used to write.).

Finally, we use Porque when you are speaking about the reason of something, but instead of using just the infinitive of the verb, we use the conjugation of the verb.

PORQUE + Conjugated Verb: “Voy a comprarme ropa nueva porque quiero estar elegante esta noche”.

(I am going to buy new clothes because I want to be elegant tonight.)

So, when someone asks you: “Por que estudias espanol?”

(Why do you study Spanish?), you can answer in different ways:

Por mi trabajo. (Because of my job.)

Por el crecimiento del mercado latino. (Because of the growth of the Latin market.)

Para poder comunicarme con personas que hablan espanol. (To be able to communicate with people who speak Spanish.)

Para viajar por Sudamerica. (For travelling around South America.)

Porque me gusta. (Because I like it.)

Porque quiero conseguir un trabajo mejor. (Because I want to find a better job.)

This little lesson doesn’t cover all aspects of when to use POR, PARA and PORQUE, but it should give you a good start at understanding some important differences of when they are used. Be on the lookout for more lessons about POR, PARA Y PORQUE in the future.

I will end this lesson by mentioning a couple of learning Spanish tools that you can use to increase your knowledge about this topic. The Practice Makes Perfect books are among the best for learning Spanish. There are currently about a dozen books in the Practice Makes Perfect series, covering various topic from vocabulary to grammar. Another one that I have recommended to my students is the Learning Spanish Like Crazy audio course which teaches informal or familiar Spanish, but not slang.

Avoiding the Emotions When Buying a Home

When you are buying a home it is easy to let your emotions drive you. This is good sometimes, but there are times when this can be a very bad thing. Wrong decisions can easily be made when you are letting your emotions take over. The last thing you want is regret when you are buying a house. It is a decision that will take you until you get your next home, so it is a big one. Making rational decisions is usually the best option. There are three emotional pitfalls that people easily fall into when buying a home. This article will list and detail those pitfalls and tell you why these things should be avoided.

You often hear home owners talking about how they fell in love with their house. This may be the case, but this can easily be turned into a pitfall. It is easy to fall in love with a great house and then not be able to afford it. This can crush the home buyers experience and change their attitude for the rest of the shopping period. This is something you want to avoid. One way to avoid this is by getting pre-approved. If you do this, then you know what your price range is from the start. You can then shop in that range and never have to fall in love with a home you cannot afford.

After you find the dream home that you can afford, you can make an offer on it. But what if someone else wants the same house? They may make an offer that is better than yours and it can turn into a bidding war very easily. This can end up with you paying more than the home is actually worth. If you let your emotions drive you through the bidding war then this is an easy pitfall to get into. You either have to be logical about it, and do the numbers yourself, or have someone tell you when you should stop. The bidding war can be bad if you let your emotions take over. You do not want to pay more for the house than you have to.

Another pitfall comes in the form of repairs. If you are buying a home that is pre-owned, then there may be repairs that need to be done. This can be a good thing, but you need to look at yourself and ask if you can really do everything. Just because you are in love with a house does not mean it is best for you right now. Having a home that needs repairs will be very bad down the line and you want to fix everything as soon as possible. If you cannot do this, then the home may not be right for you.

These three things are crucial to remember when you want to buy a home. When you fall in love with a home, then you know it. But, being rational about everything is definitely a good thing to do. Remember to avoid these things and you will be fine.

When Learning Doesn’t Come Easy

From the moment we find out we are expecting a child, our minds and hearts overflow with hopes and dreams for them. My child will be the most beautiful, brilliant, talented little person to ever walk the Earth, right? And they are that to each of us!

But sometimes, we discover there is a “problem.” The last thing we want to admit is there is something different or wrong with our child. It’s a hard thing to do. Not that we love them any less! But let’s be honest, we would rather sit around other moms and share how our 4 year old can read a chapter book, do multiplication at age 6 and paint like Rembrandt by age 7. Not to mention, they are also on their way to the Olympics in two different sports. Or at least it seems that way when you are the one quietly listening to all the achievements of other people’s children!

So, let’s get a few things straight… Most likely those other moms are exaggerating a wee bit! And there is nothing wrong with your child! Even if your child has a learning disability. She or he simply learns differently than the mainstream! And really, that is kind of cool!

I didn’t always feel that way though. After struggling to teach my daughter to read for 3 years with little progress I was getting pretty frustrated and so was she. Each school session ended in tears and some days started in tears with the mere mention of reading. She had always loved books and being read to and was excited to learn how to read by herself. So, why was it such a struggle? Was I just a bad teacher? Was she too easily distracted and not self motivated enough?

We finally decided to get testing done at age 7. I had noticed a lot of letter and word reversal while reading and writing as well as in math. She complained of her head and eyes hurting when reading (and a vision test found her to have 20/20 eyesight). I needed to know what was holding us back. I knew she was extremely intelligent in so many ways but we were hitting a brick wall. Since we homeschool, we decided to have her tested with a private therapist. It took 4 hours to complete and when finished we were told she had visual and auditory processing disorders.

I then went into mom research mode! And as I read and searched the internet and library, I became more and more confused and overwhelmed! There did not seem to be any truly helpful book or website and those I found seemed to tell me different things! We did decide to go to vision therapy, which of course is not covered by insurance, are any of us surprised? But we felt it was worth a try and worth the money. In therapy, she worked on re-learning phonics using A Time for Phonics. We also did assigned therapy at home. After 6 months she finished and I could definitely see a huge improvement! We did not do auditory therapy with the therapist because of cost, but I did use a program called Earobics for at home. I also found the book, The Out of Sync Child and When the Brain Can’t Hear very helpful.

My search continued to find other ways to help her learn in a way that fit her learning styles. You see, processing disorders and dyslexia do not have to be a roadblock! There are so many ways to learn. The point where I realized this was when I happened to find a book by Ben Foss, The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan. I encourage everyone to read it! Check out his website also! I kind of hate the word accommodations. It makes it sound like you need extra or special help, sort of like you are being allowed to cheat. There should be no shame in learning differently. Figure out what your child’s strengths are and harness those skills. Don’t focus on the standard way most kids are taught to read. I have been so incredibly thankful that we chose to homeschool because my daughter did not have to compare herself to others or be labeled in any way. But even if your child is in public or private school, remember your child is not broken, but the system may be. Advocate for your child to have the resources they need to excel and feel connected.

What resources can you use? Oh, there are so many! This is where I got overwhelmed! I am going to list some of the resources I felt were the best. But look around more and explore the options available!

-Audiobooks are your friend! Don’t get behind learning because you can’t read the material fast enough! If your child learns well by listening, give Audible a try. Amazon has audiobooks as well and so does your local library.

-A reading focus card. You can make your own or buy one. Also try printing your pages on yellow paper, or try other colors other than the usual white.

-Use a text-to-speech app such as Speak It or Talk to Me, and also a speech-to-text app such as Dragon Dictation. Another helpful app is Prizmo, users can scan in any kind of text document and have the program read it out loud, which can be a big help to those who struggle with reading.

-I love Snapwords for learning sitewords! There is also an app for Snapwords now!

-Fonts and background colors: Software that is regularly used in schools, such as Microsoft Word, is a good resource for fonts and background colors. Changing the background color to green, for example, can help with reading as can wearing green glasses. Fonts can also enable reading and understanding; teachers can download free specialist fonts, such as OpenDyslexic, which are free and can run on Microsoft software.

-All About Spelling, this curriculum is great for all children but the multi-sensory approach based on the Orton-Gillingham methods clicked with my daughter! We have not tried All About Reading but I would bet it is a good option.

-We used Rocket Phonics after we had finished vision therapy. It was developed by a dyslexic man, and it is fun! There are many games involved and interesting stories to read, not the usual boring books that are your typical easy reading.

-Math has been a struggle for us as well as reading. Memorizing facts is a challenge. I found a math program that uses learning by association, employing fact and process mnemonics called Semple Math.

-Get HANDS ON! Use clay, paints, blocks, magnets, etc. to practice letters, spelling, and sounds. Learn to write letters correctly first in sand with index finger, then move to writing with a pencil. Make it FUN! Use all the senses!

-Play games! Some we have used and enjoy are Sum Swamp, What’s Gnu?, Scrabble, Very Silly Sentences, Boggle Jr. even card games like addition war (lay down two cards each and add together), or Alphabet Go Fish (you have to say the letter sounds), search Pinterest and the internet for fun games to practice math facts and letter sounds or spelling and sight words. Even if your child is older, there are hands on ideas that are fun and multi-sensory

Moms (and Dads), my point in writing this is to give you some starting points. And to let you know that you are not alone! I know it can be disappointing at first to learn your child is struggling in some way. But it can also feel like a weight has been lifted to know how your child learns and that there are ways to help and empower your little one. I know if you are in a school setting, you will have to explain to your child why they may go to a special class or take tests differently than the other kids. You have to trust yourself to know how to talk to your child. There are books for kids that talk about dyslexia and learning issues in a positive light such as, Thank You, Mr. Falker by Patricia Polacco, The Alphabet War by Diane Robb, and for older children May B by Caroline Rose or Niagra Falls, Or Does It? By Henry Winkler (yes, Fonzie from Happy Days!)

Try to emphasize his/her strengths and affinities and do not simply focus on his/her weaknesses and difficulties. Remind your child that he/she can, indeed, learn but that he/she learns in a unique way, and that is OK! We all are unique and have our own strengths and weaknesses. Love your child for who they are and hopefully, they will find the right tools to make learning soar!

I never thought I would see the day when my daughter’s favorite activity was to read! Chin up, keep plugging away, lighten up and make it fun, and love them no matter what!

What To Do When A Picture Doesn’t Fit A Picture Frame

Custom picture framers make frames to fit all sizes of pictures but what can you do when you have a frame that doesn’t fit your picture?

People often end up with a frame that doesn’t quite fit the picture they have. This can be because they have bought a cheap frame that is just a little bit bigger or smaller than the picture they have. Sometimes it can be when you are recycling or reusing a frame that was made to fit a different sized picture. Whatever the reason there are a few solutions to fix the problem.

The two easiest solutions, if the frame is larger than the picture being framed, is to either break and cut down the frame to fit or insert a mat border to bridge the difference between the picture and the frame.

If the picture being framed requires glass and when the wrong size frame already had glass that fits the frame, the best solution is often to cut a mat border to make the picture fit the frame rather than to cut both the frame down as well as the glass. When the picture doesn’t require glass because it is an oil or acrylic or some other item to be exposed then it may be best to cut down the frame to fit the picture.

Breaking and cutting down the frame is fraught with risks.

If the frame is timber it is a safer option to break the frame and rejoin it than if it is a synthetic molding. Synthetic frames tend to come apart poorly and will often fracture and chip away at the miter joint.

When breaking a timber frame that has been glued and V nailed or V pinned you should first break the glue join by either forcing the joint apart by twisting or on occasion it may require a sudden forceful pop by tapping the corner on a firm surface perpendicular to the joint. If you are cutting the frame down by more than a few inches or any amount greater than the width of the V nails you can just roughly cut through the frame with a hand saw to get it into separate pieces and then re-cut the frame with a new miter making it the correct length. It is then a simple procedure to join the frame again and re-assemble the picture.

The other option of cutting a mat board to bridge the gap between the picture and the frame is a simpler process. Just calculate the difference between the frame and the picture and work out the widths of matting required to make the picture fit the frame. After you cut the matting, the picture can be hinged to the border and refitted to the existing frame.

In some instances the frame is smaller than the picture and this presents another set of challenges.

When the picture is just a photo or print a decision can be made to trim the picture down to fit the frame. If the picture has either monetary or sentimental value trimming it may not be an option and you should seek professional advice about making a new frame for the picture.

If the picture is a print or photograph on paper or mounted to a flat backing board you can accurately measure and mark where you need to cut the picture down and then trim it using a sharp craft knife and a straight edge. A normal picture frame rebate is usually cut with a small allowance of 2mm to make fitting the glass, picture and backing easy. When you are measuring the picture make sure you cut it smaller than the tight rebate size to a allow for the expansion and contraction of the paper over time. It is always advisable to place the straight edge over the picture aligning it with the inside of the line you want to cut along. That way if you slip with the knife the picture is protected and you will cut into the waste section. Trim the picture in several passes gradually cutting through the board or paper.

If the picture you are framing is a stretched canvas and the frame is smaller than the painting you have three options to consider. You could remove the canvas from the stretcher and then cut the stretcher frame down to fit the outer frame and then re-stretch the painting. Another alternative that could be used if the frame is only slightly smaller than the painting is to make the rebate in the frame larger. To make the rebate larger you can use a router but a quick method for small adjustments is to trim the rebate out with a craft knife. Make two cuts with the craft knife, one parallel to the face of the frame using the existing rebate as a guide and then cut down at 90 degrees from the back of the frame. This requires several cuts gradually working down and cutting out a small rectangular section to make the rebate wider. This is a simple technique when the timber is soft but can be difficult when it is hardwood. The third option is to make a new frame the right size.

Sometimes the cost saving of buying a cheap ready-made picture frame, that is nearly the right size, is easily diminished by the added expenses of trimming, mat cutting or re-stretching as outlined above.

When Self-Confidence Turns Into a Liability

Self-confidence is defined by Northouse (2010) as one’s ability to be convinced about his or her competencies and skills, including a sense of self-esteem and self-assurance. Everybody would agree that self-confidence is an important trait for anyone in a leadership position. The trick is to have the right amount of self-confidence. Depending on the leader and the situation, self-confidence can range from very low to very high. A leader who is at either side of the spectrum is a liability for their organizations.

When a leader is at the low end of the spectrum, their self-confidence can come from either low self-esteem or lack of experience at the job. If it comes from a lack of experience, the leader needs only to acknowledge this and accept wise counsel from the right people. However, when low self-confidence comes from low self-esteem, the leader is in dangerous water. Low self-esteem will cause a leader to demonstrate either a lack of confidence or overconfidence. In either case, the leader becomes a liability.

Leaders with low self-esteem:

  • Unable to make the right decisions for the organization.
  • Preoccupied with being “found out” by others. They feel threatened by anyone who seems to know more than them, therefore, failing to be open to others ideas and recommendations.
  • Indecisive, causing delays throughout the organization. They either take too much time to make a decision or too frequently change their mind.
  • Unable to take ownership of mistakes.
  • Try to please everyone.
  • Not focused on their strengths and how they can contribute to the organization, resulting in personal ineffectiveness.

In one example, a leader without much confidence in his capabilities was constantly worried about being outperformed by subordinates. Therefore, every time a subordinate presented an idea in which the leader felt threatened, he would produce excuses or reasons why that particular member should not continue on with the idea. This happened repeatedly, and the impact was that the organization was doomed to mediocrity. Employees became less engaged and stopped producing ideas, and productivity decreased. Eventually, the leader’s department became dispensable and was cut when the company reorganized.

At the high end of the spectrum, overconfident leaders are viewed as arrogant or hubristic.

Leaders with hubris:

  • Think so highly of themselves that they become narrow-minded. They don’t look at the big picture, but become consumed with their own biases, and do not make the right decisions for the organization.
  • Create a “yes-man” culture. People around this type of leader only say what they think the leader wants to hear, not what needs to be said.
  • Inhibit creativity and initiative because of the lack of openness to new ideas that did not originate with him or her.
  • Cannot perform at their best since they think they do not need to improve. The reality is that no matter where you are in your career, in order to stay the best, you have to constantly work on improving your technical and leadership skills.

Consider one over-confident vice president of a Fortune 500 company who decided he could sell a new product to a previous customer by overselling. He believed that his employees would just have to keep up with him. After all, he became a vice president by overselling himself for years. He did not consult with any experts on this decision and never understood the dimensions of a reasonable time frame or the feasibility to create the product he was promising the client. He did win the contract, but failed miserably at delivery of the product and lost a customer that had done business with the organization for years. Additionally, top talent in the company suffered from burnout, working too many hours to create the impossible. Leaders must be careful not to stretch their employees to such an extreme that they have been set up to fail.

Regardless of which end of the spectrum you fall as a leader, you are a liability to your organization. Through the behaviors mentioned above, leaders at either end of the spectrum contribute to decreased productivity and employee engagement. After time, this results in failed projects, loss of customers and, most importantly, loss of top talent in the organization. Claiming that these types of leaders cost their organizations millions of dollars is no exaggeration. So, here are some tips that can help you avoid being a liability to your company.

  • Accept that you are not perfect. Surround yourself with people who compliment you, individuals whose strengths are in the areas you are weak on.
  • Focus on your strengths! Maximize them while working on the areas you need to improve for the job you are in and the one you aspire to be. Every job needs different skills.
  • Surround yourself with people who are not afraid to give you honest feedback.
  • Be an open-minded leader. Listen to what those around you have to say, even when their ideas are better than yours.
  • Take calculated risks.
  • Understand that failure is part of success. If you fail, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, learn from it and move on.
  • Continue to grease your wheels, otherwise you will get rusty. Personal and professional development should never stop!

When Is the Right Time to Start Getting Rid of Lily Pads?

Just when you have finished building your pond and think of putting beautiful aquatic plants to enhance its beauty or purchase a lake home that you find to have lilies and the water front, realize that extracting or removing them can be very difficult. These stunning looking plants besides adding beauty to the pond or lake front also create ruffles inside the pond. Hence excessive growth can lead to overgrowth and therefore need proper trimming and chopping or chemical treatment from time to time.

Before making a final decision of removing these, one need to decide whether you want to remove the entire lot or just want to trim or treat some. Do you also know these lily pads do have a role in improving the pond’s ecosystem?

First and foremost, plants release oxygen inside the pond that is beneficial for the aquatic species and enable them to thrive freely. Also, it’s important that you maintain proper movement inside the water and there is no stagnation inside the pond. Lily pads help in aerating the water for flora and fauna.

Now the question is when is the right time to start getting rid of Lily Pads

Once you realise that around 30% of the base area is affected, then it’s time to trim it and if the covered area is around 50% then you should chop it off. These lily pads act as a filter to the pond water and helps in keeping the pond clean and comfortable for other plants and animals. These also offer protection from sunlight, thereby controlling the growth of algae and hiding places for protection against potential predators. If you prefer to kill the root system of the lily pads, Aquacide Pellets applied after growth starts to occur is the best time.

Now it’s time to decide the method of extraction-Manual Vs. Chemical Treatment

You will find many chemical solutions and treatments available in the market for the effective treatment of these lily pads. Aquacide Pellets are a great systemic root killing product that is safe for wildlife.

Manual extraction of these depends upon how deeply they are submerged in water. Trimming them from the top will also be a temporary solution. You might also witness sudden growth of fully grown lily pads within a couple of weeks.

In case of overgrown lily pads, the use of chemical treatment is also advised. Hence, we suggest you use Aquacide Pellets or Shore Klear with Cygnet. Shore Klear (Glyphosate) and Aquacide Pellets (2,4-D) are eco-friendly product and used to treat different species of aquatic plants in ponds.

You can also try out an effective method – Just mix glyphosate with cygnet and spray the mixture thoroughly onto the lily pad leaves or broadcast the Aquacide Pellets around the growth. These methods are extremely operative and provide relief within about three weeks.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Fashion and Style

Fashion and style have existed since the advent of clothing. In the past, designers showed off their designs on paper, making it possible for the people to place orders. This made it possible for people to choose a variety of styles and colors. High-fashion is believed to have started in London and Paris. For a long time now, fashion magazines from around the world send their personnel to London or Paris to find out the most recent trends. Furthermore, department stores send some of their workers to Paris to buy clothes. They would in turn duplicate the clothes with a little more flair. Having the right clothes can help boost your attitude. The factors to consider when choosing clothes include:

· Your personality

Many people like to wear clothes that are comfortable on them. They are happy to wear neat and nice clothing while other people seek to wear clothing that has designer labels. However, the most important thing is that fashion and personality go hand in hand. Therefore, it is important to wear clothes that enhance your personality. If you are less flashy and quiet, you may not be comfortable in stiletto heels and glittered clothes. Although they are different styles available in the market, it is important to find one that you are comfortable with because fashion is more than the latest trends but about looking good.

· Your body type

It is important to find the right kind of clothing for your body. Therefore, you may need to avoid clothing that is too short or too tight. This is particularly the case if you have a wider figure. Good clothes consider the fit. Tight tops that have breast pockets and short sleeves offer many distractions while high collars shorten the neck. Furthermore, shoes with straps often shorten the legs. A short necklace shortens the neck. When buying pants it is important to make sure they fit well. Small defects that are likely to go unnoticed in skirts are emphasized more in pants.

· Best body parts

Consider wearing clothes that emphasize your best body parts. This helps to create an illusion of well-fitting clothes. Thinning fabrics offer a more slimming effect. However, it is important to consider a camisole or tank with a see through blouse or top. Tops and bottoms that have one color make the wearer to look thinner, but you can be more creative by wearing different shades. If you have a large waist, you should avoid wearing belts. Furthermore, you need to wear your accessories carefully because too many of them can give the illusion of being bigger.

Does Your Mind Wander When You Pray in Tongues

Don’t worry, you’re not the first.

I received my prayer language from the Holy Spirit a year after I was saved. Like any new believer, I was worried I wasn’t a “real Christian” yet because the Scripture said that tongues is a sign of the Holy Spirit… and if the Holy Spirit does not live in you then you’re not a Christian.

If you’re like me, you probably went to the nearest church and asked them to pray for you. I did and sure enough, I walked out of there speaking in tongues. What was strange was that the Holy Spirit was already intercessing for me… in my sleep! There were times where I would suddenly wake up and find myself speaking what I thought was gibberish.

There were also times when I wanted to pray and my tongue would be so loose, I just thought I was running out of words! If you haven’t yet started praying in the Spirit, aka tongues, just ask God for it. It’s that simple. If it doesn’t happen immediately, don’t panic. Usually a series of events will just take place and He will lead you to someone who can help you.

In the beginning

The first night I prayed in tongues on my own was amazing. I said my little prayer and asked the Holy Spirit to take over because “I know not what I ought to pray for”. My lips started quivering and next thing I knew, I was praying in the Spirit.

The weird thing about it is that, because it’s the Holy Spirit praying, your mind can easily wander. I found myself thinking about my family, friends, ex-boyfriend and career. I began to imagine what He could be praying about. I also started wondering if I wasn’t just making it up.

The devil’s tricks

Praying in the Spirit is very powerful. So as usual, our age-old enemy will come around and try to disturb you from accessing the power of God. Don’t entertain his thoughts. He’s just doing what he knows best: lying.

So no, you’re not making it up. No, you don’t have to know what the Holy Spirit is saying. No, it’s not a fake language from the devil. When these thoughts come, bring them into captivity to the obedience of Christ. If you call out the Holy Spirit to pray for you, then the Holy Spirit will pray for you, nobody else.

The Reality

The Word of God says that we must pray with our minds and in Spirit. When I read this, it was such a relief. It implies that I have to consciously focus my mind on praying… which effectively means it’s not unusual for my mind to wander.

Because we revere the Holy Spirit of God, I suggest surrendering to Him and allowing Him to pray as long as He needs to. Try not to interrupt. Truth be told, it can range from 5 minutes to an hour or two. Holy Spirit will always give you an option to stop because He loves you but considering how important His prayer is, I suggest you don’t choose to stop.

Try to pray in the morning or a few hours before bed so you don’t get tired and frustrated when you pray.

Side effects to get used to

Long prayer obviously has physical effects like discomfort in the jaw and a dry mouth. I don’t know about you but I also have a funny sensation in my hands like they’re not mine. I can literally feel the person of the Holy Spirit in me so I feel like my body is not even mine… and you know what, it’s not. It belongs to God.

Get used to these side effects because with just little labor, the Holy Spirit can release God’s power, Grace, Love and blessings into your life.

What Does It Mean When a Man Wants Your Attention All the Time? Know This Before It’s Too Late

Most of the time women complain that men don’t give their women enough attention. But when a man begins to give you too much attention or begins to want too much of your attention then it could mean a lot of things. Here are a few things that could be going on in a man’s mind when he wants your attention all the time:

That he is smitten by you

If you see that a guy you normally just hang out with is suddenly looking for ways and means of spending more time with you and constantly wants your attention then he could be smitten by you. It is because he fancies you he wants to spend all his time with you and wants your attention all the time.

He could be getting insecure
Sometimes a man demands a woman’s constant attention when he is feeling insecure in a relationship. If there has been an ugly fight or if your man has reason to be jealous then he will want a lot of your attention. It is only because he is not being able to handle his insecurity that he tries to get all your attention.

He feels like he needs to draw you closer to him
Sometimes when a man feels that he needs to draw you closer to him he begins to want your attention. He feels that if he makes you see that he wants you and your time then you will feel wanted and desired in the relationship and hence takes this step.

He could be going through a rough time
When a man is going through a rough time he reaches out to the woman in his life. If you see that for no apparent reason your man is looking for your attention at all times then he could be going through a rough patch and would need your support to make things feel a little better.

He wants to see how you handle him
Occasionally, it so happens that a man wants to test a woman. If he feels that a woman doesn’t care enough for him he will try and get all her attention all the time just to see how she handles the pressure of having him around at all time.

He wants your undivided attention
If you both lead very busy lives then a man wanting your attention at all times could mean that he misses you lot and just wants to be with you more.

He has fallen in love with you
Finally, when a man makes you spend all your time with him and constantly looks for your attention then he is possibly in love with you.

When He Tells You To Call Him – What He Wants

Those two words, “call me”, can screw with your head. If you like the guy, of course you want to believe this means he is interested in you and really wants you to call him. You may be thinking he wants you to call so he can make a date. Call me is what guys say often when ending a conversation. It’s about the same as, talk to you later or see you around. It’s usually said casually and you can bet if a guy says this, you don’t have his interest sparked. So what do you do, should you call a guy if he asks?

When a guy says call me, usually it means he may find you attractive and if you call he may talk to you, but it’s not something a guy says to a girl who he is very very interested in. If a guy is really interested, he won’t ask you to call him, he will be calling you. The only exception to this is if you have been dating for a good while and he asks you to call him. If you have just met or started dating though, he is far from hooked on you yet.

A lot of women take this “call me” literally. They latch on and start calling the guy. This makes them the one doing the pursuing. It tells the guy that you are way more invested into him than he is in you. He sees a woman ready to put the girlfriend crown on and often this causes him to stop all contact and run for the hills.

When a guy says call me, what he usually wants from you is not much. He can live with or without your call. If you do call, you will be setting yourself up as a girl on the back burner. That’s what guys do with the girls that do the calling for the most part. They don’t see them as a challenge and no challenge means you won’t be girlfriend material more than likely.

If a guy really wants to get to know you, he will be the one doing the calling, he won’t be asking you to call him. When a guy tells you to call, the best thing you can do is don’t. Let him wonder why you aren’t so into him. This makes you more of a challenge and more attractive in his eyes. Less is more when it comes to calling men.
