Tips And Strategies For Making Yourself Worry Less, More Thankful And Lose More Weight

How to worry less and lose more weight. First remember that worry can take away your happiness. When you are not happy, you are likely to be moody and eat more. Instead of worrying about the goals you did not meet today, focus on those things that make you thankful today. Here are few tips and strategies for making yourself, worry less, more thankful and lose more weight.

When you are thankful, you become less worried and stressed out. Here is my own example. Hopefully, you already know that as much as I can, I share with you and others, how to relentlessly improve and achieve our daily goals. One of my daily goals is relentless weight loss. Well you can imagine my surprise that I had gained 7 pounds last week. This got me worried, because I had actually lost weight during the holidays.

The first thing I did was to do a quick 72- hour food audit to find out what change or pattern in my eating habit had helped me gain more weight than I wanted. I found out that in the past 2 weeks, I had been eating more portions of my healthy food choices like oat meal, and brown rice. Instead of getting mad at myself for stumbling, I decided to be thankful for my journey so far and focus on the future. This approach made me worry less about how I was going to lose weight or what my accountability partners would say, when I told them that I had gained some weight.

I shared my struggles with others and focused on cutting my portion size by about a third of my old portion size. This is actually the second tip and strategy for losing weight; taking action. I did not wallow in self pity or look for whom to blame. I was actually thankful that I didn’t gain too much weight. The other action I took was to double my portion of vegetables and fruits. I also told myself that considering that we are dealing with the pandemic, dealing with weight gain was not that big in the scheme of things.

This made me become less concerned about myself and more concerned about the plight of others either admitted with COVID19 or those with loved ones or friends. This part of the process of living in thanksgiving. I worried less about myself and more about more important things like people being safe and getting the COVID vaccine. The funny thing was that, when I thought more about others, I became more thankful, worried less and slept more. Do you you know what happened? I started losing weight again. I was back on track to relentless weight loss and improvement. I will keep you informed. Today, I focus on thankfulness. It is the glue that keeps my challenging life intact. Being grateful instead of anxious makes me more successful at losing weight and in other things that I do. You can do the same too, if you stay committed to looking at the positive side of life. This is part of the process of relentless sel-mastery and improvement.

Can It Be Normal To Lose 250 Hairs In A Day?

I recently heard from a very distraught woman who told me that she had counted her hair loss one day last week and her loss totaled over 250 hairs. She was very alarmed about this. However, she counted again the next day and found that she had only lost 60 hairs that day. A day later she counted again and got about 40 hairs. The next day, she was back around 250 hairs again. She could not understand why the loss was fluctuating the way that it was.

She said in part: “Can it ever be normal to lose up to 250 hairs per day? I’ve read that it can be abnormal or cause for concern if you lose over 100 hairs per day, but I don’ t lose this much every single day. I’m just wondering if I should be concerned. I’ve noticed more hair loss over the past few weeks but it seems to be worse on some days and better on others.” I will try to address these concerns in the following article.

Sometimes, during seasonal shedding or with hair conditions like telogen effluvium (TE) you can lose alarming amounts of hair. 250 strands of hair would most definitely fit within either of these scenarios. But, most people who are experiencing typical hair loss during typical hair cycles lose less than 100 hairs per day. Keep in mind though, that these numbers are based on average heads of hair. What I mean by this is that this average number (100 strands) is a percentage. Basically, it’s considered to not be a cause for concern to lose about 5 – 10% of the strands on your head when those hairs are going through the “resting” or shedding phase.

Hair goes through a life cycle. Sometimes it’s growing and sometimes it is shedding. We all shed some hair every day. And, at any given time, most people are shedding out that 5 – 10 % on a daily basis. But, sometimes, either different seasons, illness, or a condition called telogen effluvium or other hair loss conditions will shift this balance and we may lose more than this typical percentage. However, if you are someone who has much more hair than other people, your “normal” percentage may be higher than that 100 hairs that you often read about.

And, the wild fluctuations that this young woman was seeing is typical also. Some days you may lose more hair than others for various reasons. I often suggest taking the average over several days, if you must count at all. In this case, she had lost about 600 hairs over the course of 4 days. So, that put her average at around 150 hairs per day which was admittedly high. And, she did feel in her heart that what she was seeing was atypical of her. So, unless she were seeing seasonal shedding, it made sense to take a look at some hair loss issues like TE (telogen effluvium) or AGA (androgenic alopecia) to see if these things were possibilities.

Racquetball to Lose Weight

Losing weight is achievable via a few different procedures. The three major ways to lose weight are to get more exercise, eat healthier or eat less food in general. In this article we will discuss how you can get more exercise but do it while doing something fun; Racquetball!

There is a small percentage of the population who actually enjoy going to the gym, lifting weights and running until they are soaked in sweat; but for the rest of us we need to be creative if we want to get exercise. Health experts these days are recommending getting roughly 3.5 hours of exercise in a week (30 minutes a day). If you have a busy schedule this can be difficult, but things are a lot less difficult if you are having fun! Why not pickup a high impact sport like racquetball?

Most racquetball courts can be rented out for less than $10 an hour, which when split between two people is only $5. Racquetball is not a walk in the park either, you will find yourself running and diving trying to keep the ball in play so you can beat your competition. The fact that racquetball is so intense will not only burn a ton of calories it will also leave your metabolism on overdrive for days afterwards. If you can consistently squeeze in three sessions a week, either before or after work, you will find your waste line shrinking faster than you can buy smaller pants. Unless of course you live on fast foods, but that is an entirely new article.

If you don’t have the equipment lying around, you can pick everything you need up for less than $50 at your local Walmart in the sports department. If you don’t have $50 to spend on equipment, most places that rent out racquetball courts typically rent out the equipment for $1-$3 per session making racquetball a super easy sport to start up playing.

The other challenge a lot of people have when starting to play racquetball is finding an opponent willing to play on the same schedule. If you don’t have a local friend that is interested in taking the sport up with you, check out your local YMCA. Often times they have postings of individuals looking for somebody to play against. On top of learning a new sport and losing some weight, you may even make a new friend!

Good luck on your weight loss and enjoy playing the exciting sport of racquetball!

Lose Weight While Breastfeeding

Weight gain during pregnancy is recommended because it is good for your developing baby. Now that you are nursing your baby, you will definitely want to lose weight while breastfeeding and regain your pre-pregnancy shape. Here are some tips to apply that will enable you to lose weight while you are breastfeeding your baby.

Breastfeed your baby

Exclusive breastfeeding is a veritable means of burning excess fat. Your body produces milk using the nutrients you consume. This process requires a lot of energy, meaning that more fats and calories will be burnt down for more energy to be released to the cells of your body for their proper functioning. Breast milk also contains fatty acid. These fats that would have been stored in your body are given out through breast milk for the nourishment of your baby. Breastfeeding in other words help you to cut down extra pound.

Eat balanced diet

Your breastfeeding period is not a time to go on a diet or to start fasting in order to lose weight. You may feel that you are eating more than you should. There is nothing wrong with that. You will easily become hungry because more fats are burnt down and the nutrients that are used to produce breast milk needs to be replaced quickly. In order to make sure that you are well nourished, you should consume a balanced diet and snack more on fruits and vegetables. This will ensure that your body obtains all the essential food ingredients, vitamins and minerals from the food you eat.

Drink enough water

If you want to lose weight while breastfeeding, it is important that you drink enough water. First, taking much water will help to keep you hydrated because you are giving out huge quantity of water through breast milk. 50% of the content of breast milk is made up of water and so you need to replace the lost water by drinking enough water.

Engage in some exercise regime

Doing some exercises will also help you to reduce weight and regain your pre-pregnancy shape while you are breastfeeding. Regular exercise improves the metabolic process of your body and helps you to obtain lean muscles easily. So, you should add exercise in your post pregnancy plan. The type of exercises to do depends on your health status. Strolling around or doing some form of yoga is a good option for you. You can discuss with your doctor or a fitness expert to advise you in this regard.

Have time to relax and reduce stress

Being stressed up while breastfeeding can make you to add more weight. More stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline are produced by the body when you are stressed. These hormones reduce the rate of digestion; increase your heart rate and decrease circulation of blood to digestive cells. This will make you to gain more weight. It is, therefore, important that you avoid stress when you are breastfeeding your baby.

Following the above tips will enable you to lose weight when you are breastfeeding.

Lose Water Weight Overnight

How to Lose Water Weight Overnight?

It is important to note that this post is not about how to lose body fat fast. This post is about how to lose water weight fast. There is a big difference and each topic has its uses for different people. If you are someone looking to get rid of excess water weight to cut weight for a competition or someone looking for bloating relief and would like to get rid of some puffy skin then the tips presented in this video are for you.

One of the best ways to lose water weight overnight is by sweating out extra water weight in a cardiovascular program. That’s right when you go running or perform some other type of cardio you will be sweating much more than usual and will lose plenty of water weight that way.

Another way to do this is by sitting in a sauna and cycling your rounds in there. In this video I recommend 4 rounds of 15 minutes. If this is too challenging then cut your rounds shorter and giver yourself more breaks. A sweat suit is a great way to get rid of bloating fast because it gives you the sauna effect (high heat) while exercising. Helping you sweat significantly more.

The best way to lose water weight overnight is by first identifying the foods that cause bloating. Bloating and puffy skin is caused by a high amount of water retention that sits between the skin and your muscles inhibiting you from looking your leanest.

Your diet has a huge part to do with this and one of the biggest factors in your diet that leads to bloat is salt. That’s right we want to cut out as much salt as possible and you should not have more than a teaspoon or 2,300 mg of sodium per day. That includes salt from seasonings, processed foods, and frozen foods.

Sugar is also at the forefront of causes of bloating so make sure that simple nutrition void sugar is out of your diet. That includes sugars found in sodas, candy, and simple carbs as well.

Stick to more protein based and high fiber/complex carbohydrate diet, and you will see drastic changes in your health, mood, and aesthetics. You can also supplement with potassium either in pill form or from fruits such as bananas. Potassium is an electrolyte that is thought to help reduce sodium’s effect on the body. Asparagus has similar effects as well. I have heard positive reviews from many people about asparagus ability to fight bloating after eating. Dandelion tea is a natural diuretic that will help with puffy skin and help you get rid of water weight overnight as well.

Distilled water is very special because it attached to sodium and will actually flush the sodium it is attached to out of your system. Make sure that in general you are drinking a lot of water if your goal is to lose water weight. I know that may not make sense, but our bodies get very needy when they don’t get enough of something. If your body doesn’t get enough water, it will store and retain every last bit.

Finally, one of the best tips for how to lose water weight overnight and bloating relief is by taking an Epsom salt bath. Epsom salt not only is capable of getting up to 20-30 lbs of water out of your body. It is also a very great way to get toxins out of your system and help you feel rejuvenated. Try it out next time you need to lose water weight overnight. Hope this helps!

Ways to Lose Muscle Mass on Purpose

Is It Politically Incorrect To Say “Lose Muscle on Purpose”?

You always hear people say slim down. I am as much to blame as the next person. For the most part, it is something that people don’t like to face head on. For some, it makes perfect sense for them to try to lose muscle because they want to.

Isn’t As Much Muscle As Possible Supposed To Be Gained?

Losing weight, or losing fat is always being talked about, but never losing muscle. People always seem to view losing muscle mass in a negative light. Actually, by following what the mainstream media says, gaining muscle is much better than losing muscle… but is that always the case?

Nine Years Ago, I Lost Over 25 Pounds of Muscle

I spent over 12 years attempting to get as big as I could through working out. I couldn’t find clothes that fit right, I felt heavy and slow, and I was tired of carrying around all of the extra weight. I also came to the realization that I really didn’t look good, and as big as I was, it seemed like I was trying too hard. I slimmed down in about a year. Now that I have less muscle to lug around, these last nine years I have felt and looked better than ever. Here is the way that I accomplished this:

All Direct Resistance Training on My Legs Was Cut Out

Since I always thought it very important to train my lower body as well as my upper, this decision was difficult for me to make. When you have large legs, just about any kind of resistance style exercise will allow you to maintain that size. I did lunges, and used light weights. Low rep training was also tried. For the most part, low rep training isn’t known to enhance the size of muscle a lot, but when it comes to legs, one has to be careful.

The Best Way To Lose Muscle is Through Marathon Cardio

Marathon Cardio is what needs to be done to begin to lose muscle mass. By doing steady state cardio, in a medium to high intensity on a treadmill for a long time period, this is known as marathon cardio. Try for 45-60 minutes at the fastest pace you can do safely for that long. Boxers use marathon cardio to “make weight” for an upcoming match. It is really referred to as road work, but it is very high intensity running for a long time period.

The Process is Faster With Less Calories Being Consumed

By consuming less calories during this time period, you can really see results faster, just don’t over do it. It is great to eat less calories anyway sometimes during the year, so that your body can detox, and your digestive system can have a little bit if a break. Just don’t eat anything before you begin to workout, and not right after exercising either, you should wait about 1-2 hours before you eat anything.

How Long Should I Jump Rope to Lose Weight?

The question you want to ask is what weight will you be losing? Are you losing fat, water or muscle?

Losing Water

There is no doubt that jumping rope will make you lose weight and the first indication of weight loss will come from the loss of water. This lose will start to show as you perspire. Lose of weight by perspiration can become dangerous. Once you drink liquids the weight will be back on and that’s not what you are looking for.

Losing Muscle

The next weight loss could come from muscle. This will happen if you jump rope for long periods and have not eaten correctly. Your energy should come from fat supplies but when they are depleted, muscle is the next to go. Losing muscle is not good as this is what burns up the foods you eat.

Losing Body Fat

The weight you want to lose is body fat. You will lose body fat if you eat correctly and according to the mount of exercise you doing.

The Calories you burn

If you are not very fit and can only skip slowly then you would be looking at burning about 10-13 calories every minute you spend jumping. For a person that is out of shape one minute of jumping is a long time. As you get fitter and speed up your skipping, the calories you burn increases to around 18 -22 per minute. These amounts are only an approximation. You would have to know the weight of the person and the amount of fat they want to lose, to work out how long you must jump rope for to lose that weight.

Some advice

Rope jumping is considered a high impact activity and should be approached with caution, especially if you are unfit and overweight. If you are unfit, overweight and want to jump rope then try the following:

· Walk for 5 min as fast as you can.

· Then stop and jump rope for 30 seconds.

· Repeat this sequence 5 times.

· Do these three times a week for two weeks.

· Now for the next two weeks, increase the time you spend jumping rope until you are jumping for a minute.

· Over the next few weeks, decrease the time spent walking and add it on to the skipping time. Example: 4 min walk- 2 min skipping.

Remember to stay hydrated when doing any exercise.

Although you are putting stress on your knees, ankles and hip it has a lower impact than jogging, if jumping rope correctly.

So to sum-up: the length of time you need to jump rope to lose weight would be determined by the amount of food you have eaten as this determines which fuel has been converted into energy.

Create Your Own Plan

If you want to lose body fat fast, there is no substitute for exercise. You can create your own exercise plan to follow which you will be sure to stick to. By choosing how you want to exercise you will not become bored and eventually give it up.

Take A Hike

Walking is a sure fire way to lose body fat fast. If you own a treadmill you can work out any time and in any weather. I invested in some videos which were created for either walking or bike riding. You are on a virtual trail walking or biking along the countryside. The scenery is beautiful. The time goes by fast and you have the feeling of actually being there.

Try strapping on some ankle weights for an added workout and wrist weights will help to give some definition to the arms as well.

Do Not Skip Meals

Use food to your advantage. Eat a healthy breakfast every morning and your metabolism will kick into high gear. This will help you to lose body fast. Also, by eating smaller portions and eating more frequently you will burn fat all day and even while you sleep. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Avoid fast foods and fried foods as much as possible. Limit sweets and reduce your salt intake.

Drink Water

It is important to keep the body hydrated. This will also flush toxins out of the system. Drink six to eight glasses of pure water each day as recommended. By sipping ice water you are increasing the metabolism as well.

Resistance training

By adding some resistance training to your exercise routine, you will create more lean muscle, which will also burn fat. Simple resistance bands are as effective as those expensive machines. Look for ones that can anchor to a door. Then you can work both the upper and lower body effectively. By varying your exercise routine between walking and resistance training, you body will have time to recover and heal.

By following these tips you will be able to lose body fat fast and keep it off indefinitely. Eat healthy, exercise and drink that water!

Two BIG Mistakes Women Make When Trying To Lose Weight

When it comes to losing weight there is no shortage of information floating around the internet.

And while some of the information is indeed good, a good majority of it just doesn’t stack up. Especially when it comes to female fat loss and nutrition.

With that being said, here are the two biggest mistakes women make when trying to lose weight.

Mistake #1 – Drastically Slashing Calories

Women are often under the impression that they need to eat 1000 calories or less per day to lose weight.

In order to do this they cut back on carbs, eliminate fats from their diet, and swear off foods such as grains and dairy.

Does this sound familiar?

Yes, you will lose weight if you cut calories in such a drastic way.

But the weight loss won’t last long.

After a few weeks you will run into a wall and your results will suddenly stop.

This is because you aren’t giving your body enough food to survive.

Yes, you do need to reduce your caloric intake to lose weight.

But you don’t have to do it in such a drastic way.

You can actually eat way more than you think and still lose weight.

For the next week track everything you eat. You can either use a notepad or MyFitnessPal.

This will give you an idea of where you are starting from.

The next week reduce your caloric intake by just 300 calories. This will put you at a deficit and you will start losing weight.

And the best part is you won’t have to starve yourself or give up your favorite foods.

Mistake #2 – Doing Far Too Much Cardio

Women tend to go to the gym and spend hours on the treadmill. The idea is the more cardio they do, the more calories they will burn.

And the more calories they burn, the more fat they will lose.

Doing countless hours of cardio will initially lead to weight loss.

But once again, that weight loss won’t last long.

Even worse is the fact you will start to lose muscle mass. Once that happens you will have no definition and no shape.

You will actually end up looking skinny and drawn out instead of lean and sexy.

So cut it out with all the cardio ladies.

You should instead lift weights and do HIIT training.

The great thing about HIIT training is that it is short yet extremely effective.

With this type of training you can get a great workout in just 10 minutes. And trust me, you will burn massive calories and sweat like never before.
