Keep Your Dog Happy and Healthy With Products and Services From an Online Pet Shop

Have you thought about buying pet supplies and getting helpful info through an online pet shop? With the right internet pet resources, dog food, toys, grooming items and even certain types of medications can be found. Sometimes, the best for your pet will require shopping online.

Dog Training and Grooming

Have you discovered that your local area stores are rather lacking in grooming tools and training paraphernalia for your dog? If so, look to an online pet shop that delivers in your area for a selection of items that will help you help your dog. Grooming in particular can be difficult unless you have the right tools. It doesn’t matter whether your dog has a thick coat or one that is long and wiry, having the best comb, brush, slicker or rake can make a difference. Nail clippers, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and scissors are also key tools for a healthy, well-groomed dog.

Training aids such as head collars and leash training leads can greatly assist you in behaviour modification and other types of teaching for pets. Anti-bark sprays and collars can help curb your dog’s enthusiastic barking while whistles and clickers can offer assistance in walking and dealing with the public. There are also a number of toilet training products to help curb potty accidents indoors. These training items cannot always be found at a brick and mortar pet store around your neighbourhood.

Dog Food, Toys and Other Products

Your local pet shop will likely have a small selection of dog toys and kibble. However, shopping online will greatly expand your choices. What if your dog has special dietary needs or you cannot find the right formula that would provide the best health benefits? Moist and dry dog foods along with natural options that contain extra vitamins and minerals or even probiotics are available online.

Toys are a must for a happy dog ownership as they can keep your pooch occupied and out of trouble. Squeaky toys, balls, chew bones and ropes are quite popular and may not always be found at your local pet store. However, an internet shop would have a vast array of choices.

Other products for your pet’s health and happiness may include flea and tick medications, dog beds, dog doors, crates and kennels, bowls and feeders, identification tags and even food storage containers. Plus, there may be dog items that you did not even know existed if not for purchasing items through an online pet shop. Be the best dog owner you can be and look to the internet for all your pet needs. You could save time, effort, money, and find that there are great items on offer that could help you be a great pet parent.

Google Sets The Standard For A Happy Work Environment

Google is the place to work according to Fortune magazine, which listed the top 50 companies to work for. Google appears as a top contender for most features, including unusual perks, cafeterias, health cover and work environment. Most of the other companies that made the top 50 only excel in one or two areas. This is the second year in a row that Google has managed to capture the number one position on Fortune’s company assessment.

Standard perks that Google offers include 100% health care coverage and onsite childcare facilities. In addition, new moms are entitled to 18 weeks of paid maternity leave while dads get 7 weeks. Some perks that aren’t quite standard include 17 cafeterias that offer free food to all employees.

The rule at Google is that no staff member should ever be further away than 100 feet from a source of food. That doesn’t mean that they only have access to vending machines with junk food, or that the cafeterias give out quick, easy and grease-laden meals. Chefs of the highest calibre prepare range of meals, with unique variations on everyday meals. Macaroni and cheese, for instance, comes with wild mushrooms and truffles.

They also have a keen interest in environmental conservation and have a department dedicated to researching “green” technologies. Google makes every effort to be as energy efficient as possible, which is a mind-set that is encouraged in their employees. In the spirit of energy conservation, they subsidise staff members who buy hybrid or electric cars to the tune of $1000. Employees based in California are entitled to special discounts if they install solar panels in their homes.

Google is also fairly unique in that they have a policy that allows ardent animal lovers to bring their cherished pets to work. The obvious proviso is that the various dogs, cats, and assorted others must be reasonably well behaved and house trained. It’s been reported in The Inquirer, UK, that the pet’s policy is under revision, after a pet python that was not very well behaved created chaos and terror in the New York branch.

Bingham McCutchen only made it to 41 on the list, but is the number one firm when it comes to high pay packages. The law firm is known for hiring promising law school graduates at a whopping $160, 000 a year. Their legal secretaries, whose importance is often overlooked by other firms, earn an average of $69,000 a year. This is higher than what some managers of other companies’ earn. The average salary for staff at Bingham McCutchen is a staggering $211, 017 per year.

The eBay San Jose campuses have special de-stressing areas for employees in need of some serenity and relaxation. Rooms with comfortable pillows and tatami floor mats are ideal for midday prayer and meditation, so that staff can return to their tasks refreshed and revitalised.

Camden Property Trust gives a 20% discount to employees who live in the company’s apartment complexes. Staff members going on holiday are also able to use fully furnished apartments for only $20 a night.

Nike is one of the most socially conscious businesses to work for, as those employed in the Portland office volunteer as Portland Mountain Rescuers. They respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice, no matter what they are doing or how important it is. When prospective employees are interviewed and warned about the possibility of having their work interrupted by mountain searches, the standard response is, “what’s more important, saving lives or selling shoes?”

The one thing that all of the businesses on the top 50 list have in common is that they all realise that a company is only as good as its employees, and so go out of their way to ensure staff happiness and contentment. Staff turnover is low, while job satisfaction is high. Who wouldn’t want to work for a company that rents an entire movie theatre for a day so that their staff can see a blockbuster movie on its release date?

The Secret to a Happy Life

Do you want to gain confidence, reduce pain and stress, and achieve your goals? Do you want to live a happy life? All of this is possible for you and the best part of it all is that it is free! All you have to understand is “the law of attraction.” The law of attraction is simply the idea that each individual attracts positive or negative vibes to themselves. Your subconscious mind can be a key component in achieving your goals throughout your life time. When an individual is having a bad day, they usually are first to say that the rest of their day is going to only get worse, something else will go wrong, or that it is going to be a long and rough day. Do you think that this person ever stopped to think about turning their day around? They may have thought about it. But did they change their attitude and mood to manipulate the rest of their day into being a good day? Most of the time, the answer to that question will be no. I understand that this is a lot easier said than done. However, it is very doable and the outcome is life changing.

We as individuals hold the power to controlling our emotion, actions, and attitudes. This ability provides us with such an advantage. It allows us to control our future but more importantly our present. Stress and procrastination create negative energy. Why put things off till tomorrow, when you can achieve your goals today?

Have you ever had a great, productive day that everything seemed to go right and it was like nothing could go wrong? It feels like you are almost drawing only positive energy towards you and rejecting all kinds of negative energy. This feeling can be called the Law of Attraction. Everything that is coming into your life, you are attracting into your life. Be aware of the presence you are putting out into the world. If it is not something you would want to be around, I would change it now! The fact of the matter is that happiness is so simple to attain. The easiest way to start turning your live around can begin with a smile. One smile can transform a person’s entire day, while also affecting a bunch of other people around you. People are drawn to individuals that possess positive attitudes. They enjoy surrounding themselves with positive energy and a positive atmosphere. Create positive images in your mind of yourself and you attaining the goals you set for yourself. In order to reach this we make sure that you understand the meaning of being positive. The definition of positive is a good, affirmative, or constructive quality or attribute.

I am not saying that if you just thinking about something and just stay positive that you will automatically get what you want. That probably will not happen. But through hard work, staying positive, and attracting the right kind of people and atmosphere around yourself, you can reach anything you set your mind on. Always remember to go through life with a smile on your face and positive energy than happiness will never be too far away. It can’t hurt to try!

Good Speeches Always Have A Happy Ending

When you are designing your next speech, you’re going to have an important decision to make: how do you want your audience to feel once you’re done talking? More often than not, you’re going to want them to be in a happy, positive mood. This means that you’re going to have to end your speech in a way that makes this happen. Say hello to the Great and Bridge speech closing techniques.

The “How Great It’s Going To Be” Speech Closing

When you use this speech closing technique, you use the ending of your speech to paint a mental picture of the future for your audience. The image that you are going to leave them with is one filled with unlimited possibilities.

In order to set the stage for this mental image, you are going to have to use the part of your speech that comes before the closing to paint an entirely different picture. During the body of your speech you are going to want to show your audience just how bad life is right now. We’re talking about serious doom and gloom.

In order to make this sequence work out, when you are creating your speech you are going to want to work out what your closing image is going to look like and then work your way back. By doing this you’ll be sure that your story is consistent.

The “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” Speech Closing

Sometimes you won’t have to convince your audience that things are bad right now – they already know it! In this case, you are going to want to take a different approach with your speech closing.

The challenges that your audience are currently facing probably seem insurmountable to them. It’s going to be your job to show them how they can overcome them.

When you are using the bridge over troubled waters closing, you’ll want to paint a clear picture of where your audience wants to get to. Next you’ll want to acknowledge the obstacles that are standing in their way of getting there. Finally, you’ll want to show how your idea or solution can offer them a bridge over the troubled waters that they are facing that will allow them to get to where they want to go.

What All Of This Means For You

Attend any course on public speaking or read any book on the subject and you’ll be told that it’s what you cover in your closing that your audience is going to walk away from your speech remembering.

This means that if you can leave them happy, your audience will have a positive impression of what you’ve told them. The “How Great It’s Going To Be” and the “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” closings are two ways of accomplishing this.

Having a selection of different ways to close your speech is like having the right tools to complete a wood working project. Sure you could do it with the wrong tools, but having the right tools makes it that much easier. Next time you are writing a speech, take a look and see if either of these two happy ending techniques can make your audience walk away remembering what you said.

A Good and Happy Review – Book Review of ‘A Good and Happy Child’ by Justin Evans

A creepy page-turner, A Good and Happy Child weaves together a troubled man’s past and present in an effort to understand why he has rejected his newborn son. The protagonist George Davies, on the request of his therapist, writes a number of journals detailing the shocking childhood events surrounding the death of his own father many years previously. As the journals progress, it becomes clear to the reader that Evans has not written an ordinary tale of grief and loss, but a supernatural horror laced with demonic possession, poltergeist activity, and a mysterious murder. The reader is left to decide whether George’s journals reveal the delusions of a troubled child, or something deeper and darker.

A Good and Happy Child is a gripping book. Evans’s writing technique is deceptively simple and incredibly readable; his style allows for an exploration of classic horror themes without seeming clichéd or predictable. Particularly inventive is the author’s description of the void-land in which young George’s ‘Friend’ takes him early on in their sinister relationship, a place “warm and buoyant, gray and thick” in which human souls are displayed as light windows on a giant battleship. Evans uses this descriptive skill to encapsulate childish fear and easily convinces the reader of the youth of the narrator, his unreliability, and his impressionable nature. Young George is well-written as a character needing pity, help, and protection from himself, his well-meaning adult friends, or from otherworldly influence, and the tragic nature of this character is increased when it becomes clear he receives nothing. A good character in a sea of less good characters, young George shines and becomes a beacon for the neglect of troubled children and the damage mismanagement of delusions and demons can do.

However, there were flaws. Undeniably a readable book, Evans has created a rather one-dimensional page-turner. There is a distinct lack of sub-plot, and the brilliantly written young George is overshadowed by a cast of stock characters: the hippie, spiritual psychoanalyst, the academic feminist, and the homosexual arts professor spilling quotes. The other characters, particularly George’s mother and her partner Kurt, are left without a level of depth that would have made the novel richer. In addition, the supernatural scenes lacked punch and only the final image of the ‘demon’ created anything really spine-chilling. For a book heralded as “Incredibly scary and unnerving…” (Brad Meltzer), it fails to deliver much that was truly frightening.

Overall, despite the novel’s flaws, A Good and Happy Child is an enjoyable read. If you are looking for a truly scary supernatural horror story, it would be best to avoid Evans’s novel. However, if you want something readable, well-written, and with plenty of room for audience interpretation, A Good and Happy Child may just be for you.

Ways to Tell If Someone Is Truly Happy

Many people say that happiness is a choice. It really is but there are times that people cannot find that simple thing that could make them happy. If you want to know how to tell if someone is honestly happy, then here are some ways on how to tell if someone is truly happy:

  • The first sign that you would notice if someone is truly happy if that someone starts to make long term plans. A person who is truly happy would certainly try to think about long term plans. This is making sure that he or she would certainly be able to ensure his or her future and by keeping happy at all times.
  • Another good thing that would help you tell if someone is happy is if you find that person have a smile on his or her face all the time. People who area happy cannot hire their true feelings and this would usually manifest on how they look. These people would usually have a brighter aura and would usually think about positive things.
  • A person who is happy is definitely optimistic. You would find such person to see almost anything in a positive point. No matter how dire the circumstances, happy people will still have a positive view. They are definitely a glass half full kind of group.
  • Get out of bed easily. Happy people are excited to greet the new day. This is why they are always glad to get out of bed every day. They just want to explore the possibilities.
  • They love life. Happy people really love life and everything that life has to offer. They will explore all possibilities and enjoy every minute of it.
  • They love to socialize. Happy people are always glad to share their happiness with other people. This is why they would gladly hang out with others. They would go to parties, go out to dinner and basically do activities with other people.
  • They take care of their health. People who are often want to maximize their happiness. This is why they will make sure that they live a long and happy life by taking care of their health at all times. Happy Wedding

Anjara (Sumanth Ashwin), an apiece producer, is an introvert and introducing love affair. As the families of the two families agree, the field is ready for the wedding. So if the marriage is confirmed, doubts start on Akshara Anand. Introduce the love of her in the early days of the day.. At the same time her ex-boyfriend Vijay (Raja) comes back to her life. Uncertainty takes place in an uncertainty about who chooses to choose his spouse forever. And how is she survived from this ambiguity? The story is about sharing the life of anyone else. Happy Wedding ‘is a realistic movie to talk about the ideas of this generation of young people in marriage. When a girl does not slap their views on the wedding, Many parents give their daughters complete freedom. Their views are waiting. Do not worry?

What is the girl who is going to go home? She is sick and in any situation.. any opinion about her own life.. How happy a girl responds to a life’s direction. This story.. Though the characters are contemporary, this generation is the lowest passion for the audience’s interest, but there are no interesting swords. Narrative Slowly.. The short story is stretching too.. The conflicts point is also small because of the ‘Happy Wedding’. Emma is new in the beginning.. before the beginning of love.. For a few days she is a very caring girl.. The girl love is okay.. why she is on karim while on ‘happy wedding’ runs on ‘Happy Wedding’. This is the same conflicts point in the film. But the episode of the new director Laxman’s choice for the story is too short. Smaller can be very big if taken up to one person. I hope that the problem will be too big when showing up in a movie. But if I go to Vijayawada in Hyderabad to the heroine of ‘Happy Wedding’, he is angry that he does not come together soon enough and asks for a serious decision. Even though she was not the only cause of her decision, other reasons she said were convincing. It was chosen as a convincing point and a long distance from the story went down. The heroine is still in the Confucians despite her confusion until the wedding day. This is the feeling that the story is dramatically changed.. Comfortable in the beginning.. Happy ‘Happy Wedding’ will change very often over a stage.

The Nutraceutical Marketing Gold Rush – Or How To Find Happy Customers for Life

The 80/20 rule is really a 90/10 rule for nutraceuticals. Moreover, the majority of the “10” are repeat buyers

Yet surprisingly, more than 2 out of 3 companies have no effective strategy for keeping hard-earned customers.

It’s a shame, too, since it’s pretty simple to ensure buyers keep coming back. It takes just a few easy steps.

STATISTICS DON’T TELL EVERYTHING

Scads of marketing surveys cite the value of repeat customers. Such as, it’s 5 times harder to get a new customer than to keep a current one.

Descriptive statistics like that are nice, if a bit superficial.

Seeing what it takes to keep repeat customers is much more informative.

As an example, one supplement company that I worked with really hit the mark on customer retention. The main product line was probiotic supplements.

Every three months they sent a magalog to every buying customer.

The 15-page document included stories by other customers about how they had solved various issues with their gut health. It was 4-color, with lots of images of happy people.

It also had endorsements by a research scientist – i.e., me. Plus photos of me in a white lab coat and tie.

The document was sprinkled with plenty of persuasive language. It focused on key emotional hot buttons to spur buying action.

It read like a good novel that’s hard to put down. In other words, people read it all the way to the order page.

The order form made the buying process as simple as possible. And it offered options for better prices with multiple-bottle purchases.

The final piece of the magalog strategy was the ease of contact with the company. The target age group was primarily seniors. They were prone to phone calls to speak with an actual human being at the company.

Overall, what this marketing strategy did was create the feeling of a human-to-human connection with every customer.

It didn’t just make sure customers were satisfied. It focused on making customers happy.

As a result, over about a 10-year period the company’s valuation grew from around $6 million to more than $20 million.

While the marketing copy in this case was a magalog, the main point was to make customers so happy they’d keep coming back.

It sure worked for my own customers, too.

At one time I owned a brick-and-mortar retail nutrition store.

That’s where I created a weight loss program with an emphasis on customer appreciation.

The few simple steps I took to ensure their happiness with me did wonders for keeping customers coming back.

In fact, it’s still working online, more than a decade after closing the physical location.

THE CORE PRINCIPLE

The one thing that keeps customers coming back is this: A human connection.

That’s it.

All businesses rely on human customers. Connecting with them is the foundation of effective marketing.

It’s the bedrock for customers to get to know you, to like you, and to trust you.

People concerned with good health are especially responsive to the human connection. It plays to one of the most persuasive emotions in wellness marketing – hope.

In bygone days, brick-and-mortar nutrition stores relied on compassionate salespeople. They could provide wellness solutions in a caring manner, face-to-face.

The need for this seemingly old-time human connection hasn’t disappeared.

Customer loyalty still depends on fulfilling that need.

It’s just that, these days, digital marketing often fails to provide it.

Customers have little or no access to salespeople. Online contact forms go to impersonal email addresses such as “info@companyname.com.” Toll-free numbers only reach outsourced call centers in foreign countries. Marketing materials typically amount to fear-based browbeating.

In spite of all that, digital marketing can do a lot more than generate faceless leads. When done right, it can establish and maintain customer loyalty based on the human connection.

How so?

We can boil down the process into three key parts.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS

1) First and foremost, create channels for person-to-person interactions.

Live conversations over the phone and personalized emails are unbeatable here.

Use these connections to ask customers what they want. Their answers to open-ended questions will give you a treasure trove of insights for future communications with them.

This gives you a solid foundation for acknowledging their concerns in a way that helps them feel significant.

Seeking significance is an overwhelming driver of human behavior.

Ultimately, listening to your customers will tell you exactly how they want you to market to them.

2) Once you know what customers want, explain why you have their solutions.

The human connection you establish in Step 1 will build their trust in you.

They’ll listen more carefully and be more likely to buy from you, over and over.

3) Create a customer appreciation program for following up after each and every purchase.

Many companies use Survey Monkey or other services for garnering customer feedback. That’s where the process usually stops.

You can really distinguish your company by actually following up to survey responders with thank you notes, acknowledgements of their value to you, and giveaways.

Adhere to the old adage that the big money is in the follow-up.

Taking these steps are certain to keep your customers happy.

And happy customers will continue to be the foundation of a healthy bottom line.

Nine Insights for a Happy and Successful Life, By: Mitchell Earl Gibson, MD

If thoughts were analogous to light energy, then the clarity of logic and reason presented in this book would have a prismatic effect, like crystals of truth; resulting in human behavior being categorized like a rainbow of colorful deductions. It is this cognitive filter in which Dr. Mitchell Earl Gibson has articulated and created in his book titled, Nine Insights for a Happy and Successful Life.

Dr. Gibson has compiled these fundamental characteristics by having seen people during his thousands of professional encounters engulfing a vast spectrum of clients. In a terse, fast reading assembly of his “Nine Insights,” he states his insight then follows by exemplifying it in a fascinating way; having well-known examples from history, culture, and his own personal experiences providing his quod erat demonstrandum (QED).

From the onset of the book, Dr. Gibson postures his conclusions with humility and respect for the readers’ intelligence. By doing this, he is neither preaching to his readers nor pontificating his own values; he is simply explaining what he has seen and what he believes. This makes Nine Insightsan inviting and intriguing book to read. For example, his “Insight Number Seven: When dreams speak to you, listen carefully” was particularly interesting due to his examples used to substantiate his point. He wrote that Paul McCartney dreamed his song Yesterday, Robert Louis Stevenson dreamed his plot for The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and people made millions of dollars off of solutions to problems presented to them while sleeping.

Many people, philosophers, scientists and historians, to name just a few groups, have written about the dream state. As well as each of us have had our own experiences with dreams; making this not the most radical of insights. However, a most original insight is “Regularly giving away a small portion of your wealth helps to prevent the energy of chaos from building up in your life.” The manner in which this is explained is totally captivating and resonates in my mind as being something obvious but at the same time unperceived. I’ll give you a hint: It has to do with the energy of money.

To learn more about who you are, the other insights not mentioned in this review, and how Dr. Mitchell Earl Gibson ties money into personal chaos, I strongly recommend reading Nine Insights for a Happy and Successful Life. In a semantically mathematical way, I have now made my recommendation as being what Dr. Gibson would agree as a tenth insight, “Read this book.”

Happy Employees, Happy Customers

There is an old saying “happy wife, happy life“, and it goes without saying (pun intended) that this saying is very true. When I train and build a relationship with my managers and staff, we use this as an example of where we get the G2N saying, “Happy Employees, Happy Customers“. I know, I know it’s not quite as catchy and doesn’t rhyme, but it sums up the importance of work culture and how it affects your customers in four words.

Comparing your wife (or a spouse) to your job takes a little guts but really I only do it to make a point. If you love the place you work, then you will like to come to work. And it really makes a difference to see an employee walk through the front door with a smile on his/her face (like they are greeting someone they love) instead of a look of grimace thinking about the next 8 hours they must endure at their job in order to pay their bills.

The culture that your business creates and maintains will directly rub off on your clients/ customers. It doesn’t matter what your start- up is, it will be effected. The first thing to establishing a good culture is knowing what one is. “Organizations with good culture tend to have higher worker productivity, lower turnover, and better team unison,” (Jensen). Here are six ways to create and maintain a positive workplace and culture:

1. Communicate a Clear Mission – Get Everyone Involved with the “WHY” – Your organization’s mission needs to be clearly articulated and communicated. And it needs to be addressed often with the staff. And the reason for needing a well communicated and articulated mission is simple: All workplace initiatives, goals, and values should point back to this mission.

2. Cast a Vision for the Future – the Vision should communicate the “HOW”. In terms of workplace culture, each individual employee should have a perfect idea of what it is they are doing for the organization. Make your employees part of this vision. Help them understand what they mean to the overall mission of the organization.

3. Create and Adhere to Organization Values – Develop a set of governing values, or core ideals, which illustrate the behaviors of the organization and the way employees should act. These will be the practices that will define your culture and how the organization is seen.

4. Strengthen Employees – By investing in the staff, you are continually building a sharper, highly skilled, and more dynamic workforce. It is the excitement of learning and application that will continue to inspire great workplace culture.

5. Create a Company-wide Feedback Loop – In an engaged workforce, employees need to have a method or process that will allow them to be able to share their ideas. They need to know that they are heard and considered, and not that their thoughts fell on deaf ears. Create a feedback loop so ideas and innovation can flourish.

6. Develop Transparency in your Communications – Make the divulging of information a habit. If you want people to be involved in your organization, you must be transparent with them, so they can be as involved as possible.

The bottom line is when employees or team members feel empowered they take charge and solve problems on their own. This means the customer will receive better service the first time around. Building a culture where employees feel trusted will enable them to take ownership of their work and the service they provide will excel. When an employee feels valued they pass that feeling on to the customer and it shows. A company that finds ways to keep employees happy on the job consistently provides better service. “They’ll look for new ways to make sure customers leave every interaction satisfied and when companies reward that behavior, they create a positive cycle that results in a better customer experience,” (smallbizdaily.com). Making sure your staff feels secure, motivated, empowered and challenged will not only help to build and maintain a strong work culture, but will in turn guarantee increased productivity, improve client relations and provide the most excellent customer service they have to offer. Like G2N always says, Happy Employees, Happy Customers!
