Immortality The Word Of Life Not Life Hereafter, Living Forever Now!

IMMORTALITY

Immortal Life … Can it be?

Somewhere between the mainstream church and people out there looking for a God who really exist , the truth is hanging in the air. Day after day people struggle for life. Yes, not only to make a living. What is the use of making a living when we live such short life that is going to end anyway soon. What is the reason for living if we have to die and go to heaven some day. Why don’t we just die and go to heaven?

The answer to that is in the truth. The truth that is written in the Bible that had been overlooked, misquoted and miss interpreted for many years.

People calling themselves “Christians” sometimes do not even know what the word “Christ” means. It means the anointing and the Spirit of God which come unto Jesus when He was baptized in the Jordan. That same Spirit that was given back to the Father, was poured out on earth on the day of Pentecost.

God’s intention was never for Adam to die. His intention was never for us to die! The whole story in the Bible is about LIFE! Not about dying to go to heaven.

Immortality according to the Bible and according to most dictionaries means to live without dying.

I have realized with a shock that children commit suicide because of the teachings and preaching of most preachers in the main stream church. Most preachers preach that it is bad to live on earth and that it will be much better in heaven “ONE DAY”. What nonsense! You are killing our children, lying to them. The Bible does not say that! I challenge any preacher to show me the scripture saying that the only way to go to heaven is to die!

The whole Word of God is about Life! Right from the beginning and basically in every book of the Bible we can see the truth.

Most people will ask , but why are people still dying? Born again Christians who are supposed to have the Spirit of Christ in them. The Spirit that raised Christ from the dead that is supposed to quicken our mortal bodies.

You can only ask that question if the truth has never been preached to you. Surely you can also ask that question if you are not born again. The Bible says that you cannot hear the revelation if someone is not preaching it.

For many years the only “truth” for people was the catholic religion. Luther had to stand up and preach the revelation that you don’t have to pay for your sins. It was in the Bible all the time. But still, someone had to preach the truth. The same happens with new revelation. For many years no one spoke in tongues. It was in the Bible all the time, but someone had to stand up and preach it.

No difference with the word of immortality which is probably the greatest revelation you will ever hear.

The Bible can very easily be misinterpreted because of incorrect translations or translators, trying to push their own doctrines. A very good tip for Bible scholars will be to ensure that the scripture they read is declared by scripture and not something happening in the world or some preacher’s own interpretation. Always test the scriptures by reading the context of the whole chapter. Sometimes it will help to read different translations.

1Co 2:9 (KJV) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1Co 2:10 (KJV) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Welcome to this awesome Word of God. Today you have come here, to see one of the greatest revealed mysteries and secrets of God.

The Bible says in Deut 29:29 that “the secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children for ever………..”

The Bible is very clear! You are supposed to be immortal. It says, that it is for those who believe and for those who seek it! Stick with me through this amazing teaching and you will be filled with joy and peace forever.

What is the meaning of the word Immortality?

Is God’s plan for us to die and then go to heaven?

If so, why don’t we just die and go?

What does the Bible say about it?

The word “Immortality” in the Websters’s Dictionary is described as ” EXEMPTION FROM DEATH” or ” UNENDING EXISTENCE” It does not say die and then live or life after death.

Christians will very easily and often quote John 10:10

Joh 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I don’t think they realize what they are quoting

See the following scriptures:

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

2Co 4:11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

It does not say that it will be made manifest AFTER we have died ! It says in the mortal flesh. In other words the flesh which is liable to death. Not the flesh that is dead already.

Carefully look at the following scriptures. Note that Paul is talking about 2 groups of people. He says “death works in us, but life in you” two groups.

2Co 4:10 to 14: always bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus in the body, so that the life of Jesus also might be revealed in our body. For we who live are always being delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus might also be revealed in our body.So then death works in us, but life in you. For we, having the same spirit of faith (according as it is written, “I believed, and therefore I have spoken”); we also believed and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus shall also raise us up by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

We know that people are dying and therefore most people who don’t get this revelation will say ” but why are people still dying today?”

Joh 6:47 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me has everlasting life.

He did not say , he who believes in ME will die and go to heaven.

Read the whole of John 6 and see how many times HE says: If you eat of My flesh and drink of My blood , you will NEVER DIE!

Jesus says “I am the Bread of life.” & Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died. This is the Bread which comes down from Heaven, so that a man may eat of it and not die.

Doesnt the Bible say that the last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death?

Can I say this: When you die, you have been conquered by death! You have not subdued death or conquered death. Death is only conquered when you live and don’t die.

Right from the beginning, in Genesis, God’s plan for us was to live and not die. The question in the garden was not sin. It was all about LIFE and DEATH.

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.

Gen 3:22 And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man has become as one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever,

Gen 3:23 therefore Jehovah God sent him out from the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he had been taken.

Gen 3:24 And He drove out the man. And He placed cherubs at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Psa 118:17 I shall not die but live, and shall declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord.

Psa 118:24 This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Read the whole of Ps 118 and try to see the prophetic Word that the Psalmist is bringing.

Act 13:35 For this reason He says also in another psalm, You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption [to undergo putrefaction and dissolution of the grave]. [Ps. 16:10.]

Act 13:36 For David, after he had served God’s will and purpose and counsel in his own generation, fell asleep [in death] and was buried among his forefathers, and he did see corruption and undergo putrefaction and dissolution [of the grave].

Act 13:37 But He Whom God raised up [to life] saw no corruption [did not experience putrefaction and dissolution of the grave].

Act 13:41 Look, you scoffers and scorners, and marvel and perish and vanish away; for I am doing a deed in your days, a deed which you will never have confidence in or believe, [even] if someone [clearly describing it in detail] declares it to you. [Hab. 1:5.]

Why will Paul refer to Habakkuk? What is the context?

Let us go to Habakkuk and see.

Hab 1:5 Look around [you, Habakkuk, replied the Lord] among the nations and see! And be astonished! Astounded! For I am putting into effect a work in your days [such] that you would not believe it if it were told you. [Acts 13:40, 41.]

Looking at this, we still battle to see any context.

Hab 2:2 And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision, and make it plain on the tablets, that he who reads it may run.

Hab 2:3 For the vision is still for an appointed time, but it speaks to the end, and it does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it; because it will surely come. It will not tarry.

Hab 1:12 Are You not from everlasting, O Jehovah my God, my Holy One? We shall not die.

What is it saying?

The Lord says to Habakkuk , Write the vision down, for there is an appointed time, when it will manifest. Then no one will believe this. What vision? ” WE WILL NEVER DIE”

The word does say that we shall not all die before He returns!

Psa 102:18 Let this be recorded for the generation yet unborn, that a people yet to be created shall praise the Lord.

Psa 102:20 To hear the sighing and groaning of the prisoner, to loose those who are appointed to death,

These guys new that it was not for there time, but for a generation yet unborn.

1 Pe 1:23 You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.

1Pe 1:24 For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honor) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off,

1Pe 1:25 But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you. [Isa. 40:6-9.]

Yes, all flesh is like grass, BUT when you become BORN AGAIN , from the IMMORTAL SEED of GOD, He will renew your strength and your mortal body will be quickened.

Remember that this is only for those who believe!

If it is still difficult to take it, try the next scripture:

Rom 2:7 To those who by patient persistence in well-doing [springing from piety] seek [unseen but sure] glory and honor and [the eternal blessedness of] immortality, He will give eternal life.

It is in all the translations

To those who seek Glory and Honor AND IMMORTALITY, He will give eternal life.

Right through the Bible we see that GOD wants us to live.

Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.

There was a time when people had an appointment with death, but that appointment with death is cancelled (Ps 102)

This is only a glimpse of what the Word really says.

Different Types of Casino Craps

Different Types of Craps

When you come across a game of craps, there’s a good chance that it will employ the standard rules. However, variations on craps do exist, and the following are some of the most common:

Simple Craps – In this basic version of the game, the player wins on a roll of 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12. If a 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 is rolled, the player loses.

High Point Craps – A player wins if they get an 11 or 12 on their first roll. If a 2 or 3 are thrown on the initial roll, the dice are returned to the player for another try. Any number from 4 to 10 can be established as the point, and the player must exceed that total on their next roll.

Crapless Craps – The player can’t lose on the come out roll, but the only automatic winner is the 7. Since the house edge is nearly quadrupled, most experienced players avoid this game.

Die Rich Craps – A single die is used in this version of the game, and the player wins on the come out roll by getting a 6. The pass line bet loses on a 1, and the numbers 2 through 5 establish the point. The player then gets three rolls to make the point, and the payout fluctuates with the number of rolls. Rolling a 1, however, always results in a loss.

Chuck a Luck – Three dice are rolled from a shaker, and players wager on a number from 1 to 6. The bettor wins according to how many times their chosen number comes up on the roll. While it’s closer to sic bo than craps, novice players may confuse the two.

New York Craps – There are several differences in the rules, but the biggest is that Come and Don’t Come wagers aren’t allowed. This variant can be found on the East Coast, as well as certain parts of Europe.

Best Craps Bets

If you want to reduce the casino advantage as low as possible, stick with the following wagers.

Pass Odds– If the come-out roll results in a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the player can take odds by wagering a set multiple of the pass line bet. This new wager wins if the point is made, and it pays at the following odds: 2:1 for a 4 or 10; 3:2 for a 5 or 9; and 6:5 for a 6 or 8.

Don’t Pass Odds – Like the previous wager, except this time the player is betting on a 7 to be rolled after the point has been established. Pays 1:2 against a 4 or 10; 2:3 against a 5 or 9; and 5:6 against a 6 or 8.

Worst Craps Bets

Craps at US casinos provide a lot of fun betting options, but some of them are heavily slanted in favor of the house. If you want to gamble smart, always avoid the following wagers:

Any 7 – Pays 4:1if the shooter rolls a 7. Unfortunately, the house edge is 16.67%.

World – Pays 26:5 if a 2 or 12 are rolled and 11:5 on a 3 or 11. If a 7 comes up, the result is a push. The house edge is 13.33%.

The Art of Dice Control

If you’re playing craps games online, this won’t be an option. For the land-based player, however, dice control is an interesting strategy that’s intended to negate the random nature of the game. The player positions the dice in his hand and tosses them in such a way that they graze the back wall instead of bouncing off.

Casinos frown on dice control, so hours of practice are needed to perfect its execution. Some Gamblingpedia.org experts argue that it’s impossible to determine the outcome of the roll with any consistency, although there are players who claim over 100 throws in a row using this method.

Is Death A Choice Or A Fate?

People die, but is that something they had made as a choice? Or is it the other way round of having fate choose us the death. The only single perennial truth of our existence is, that we perish. Our choices falters. Choosing to die or fated to die, doesn’t epitomize our existence though!

But, it has a literal subjugation we earthling might want or think to ponder upon. So is it possible to denote death with either a choice or the fate, since we die at the end. Death is just an end of the journey we didn’t choose for ourselves.

We took birth, but was it our choice? Certainly not, maybe our parents choice!

So how can one call the death which is the other essential dichotomized end of Birth, to be a choice.

Did you really choose your death or is it possible to choose that you can choose your death.

Maybe you can time your actions that can lead to your Death. That is solely your choice. But at what point of time from then, will you die is totally a Fate’s work. It’s all written.

You attempt suicide, and you fail and get crippled or something of that measure happens. Which simply means you just prolonged your existence, which in other word signifies our inability to control over death or Choose upon the Death.

So coming down and living as a Human being isn’t about making choices, neither is the death a substance that can be chosen upon.

One might quote here… what about the choices we make daily?

That’s where we are bestowed by our fate to make choices. That’s the irony of Life, you get to choose some and there are others which you really can’t choose upon. And that’s the fate. Now the other important thing to ponder upon is, what is fate?

Fate is certainly not an option that can be made. Just like the way, we think a stone is stone and it can’t be water. They are fated to become one of those. Now, a stone certainly doesn’t have the luxury to choose upon getting thrown or crushed. Well, that’s our presumption. They can resist. And that’s their fate. Fate is something which bestows and sets some guidelines for the way things are supposed to be, upon which we have no knowledge about.

Life is filled with more mysteries than we have found answers for till today. And this Life encompasses the whole universe and the universe that constitutes the other universe, which we are never fated to know. So do we make choices here or is it already there in our fate.

Fate has a collective symposium, wherein we are interlinked with each and every other person around our vicinity. But do we make choices of who we are to meet today or tomorrow? Certainly not. Its there in our fate. Fate is the bigger part.

But, this shouldn’t discourage people to make some bold or good choices they think would do them good or good for the others. Choices certainly exist. And its our fate of being a human being that gives us multitude of choices to make for ourselves, unlike the stone as I had mentioned. We have an advantage over the stones in most of the matters, and thats what we are fated to.

We make choices daily, but do we know what these choices would lead us to? Never!

All we can have is some approximations about the consequences of the choices we can make, but certainly not about the end that it would lead to. So approximation and fate are two different context. One is a probable fate or a improbable fate and other is the final verdict.

So, my conclusion to it is, Death which is imminent is certainly not a choice, its all there within our fate.

Rubber Stamps – The Difference Between Wood-Mounted And Un-Mounted

Rubber stamps come in two forms – mounted and unmounted – and unmounted rubber stamps, either consists of just the die, or the die already adhered to the cushion. In this article, we’re going to look at each type of rubber stamp and how it’s used.

A wood-mounted rubber stamp has three-different parts – the die, the cushion and the block

The blocks for mounted stamps are traditionally made of wood. The wood is sometimes shaped – making it easier to grip. You’ll usually find a replica of the stamp image on the block itself which makes it easy to identify what the image on your stamp is.

It’s pretty common that as you are stamping, the wood block will get stained with ink. While it affects the outward appearance of the stamp, it doesn’t affect how it works at all. If that bothers you then you can protect the wood by painting it with a coat of clear varnish.

The cushion sits in the middle of the stamp – and is the padding between the block and the die. The purpose of the cushion is to help distribute the pressure as you stamp, helping to ensure a clear and consistent image. Sometimes with use or over time you may notice the cushion start to come loose from the stamp – this is easily repaired with glue.

The die is what contains the actual image and it is made from rubber. A die that has good depth – in other words, the distance between the raised portion – which is the image – and the flat portion, will help ensure clearly stamped images.

Wood-mounted stamps are typically sold either individually or in sets, and in two different ways. You can buy them already assembled – with the rubber mounted onto a cushion, and then mounted onto a block. Or, some companies, such as Stampin’ Up!, sell them un-assembled – the block, image sticker and rubber die come separately.

Unmounted stamps are simply the die part of the stamp.

They are sold in a variety of different ways. First off, you can buy just the die, or the die mounted to a cling foam cushion.

In addition, you can buy unmounted rubber stamps both cut and un-cut – which simply refers to whether or not the rubber is trimmed close to the raised image or not.

Wood-mounted stamps are essentially ready to use – all you need is your ink and your paper and you are ready to stamp. With unmounted stamps you need to have an acrylic block in order to achieve your best stamped results.

Why It’s A New Life After Your Loved One Dies

When a loved one dies, initially it is very difficult to accept the loss and start the next chapter of life. Yet, the experience of millions of mourners tells us that is exactly what they had to do: Realize their old life is part of their personal history, and life without the deceased loved one will be very different.

The concept of a new life for many mourners is repulsive because they think it heralds forgetting the loved one. Nothing could be further from the truth. Others think a new life means starting over. Again, not true. In essence, starting your new life specifically means coping with massive change. No one can resist change; it is the one relentless eternal force.

As many therapists say, “What you resist persists.” That is, if you resist the changes demanded by loss–the pain and anxiety will haunt you continuously as you attempt to live in the past. Here are four reasons why it’s a new life after your loved one has died. And, to accept it as a new life and to be open to learning, will help you immensely in adjusting to your great loss.

1. Remember, a major loss means that part of you has died–that part that interacted with the person who died. You no longer have that interaction, that part of your nurturing community. When you realize this, it can be very scary. You will have to find ways to integrate the time you used to spend with the beloved into a new setting, a new life.

2. Nearly all major losses involve the development of new routines. It is natural to embrace the comfortable, predictable ways they we easily grow used to rather than face the unknown. However, one of the tasks of grieving is to adapt to the absence of the deceased. In so doing, we most often have to assume some of the responsibilities the loved one had.

A few examples: it may mean learning to fix things around the house, shop for one person, get used to an empty chair (or put it in another part of the house), or eat alone at a new time.

3. Next, you may have to change your role, seek a career, or become an advocate for a specific cause. You may have to be both a parent and a full time employee. Or, you may have to work part time in order to continue with a hobby or membership in a club, or to stay in the apartment or home you are living in.

In any event, it will mean meeting new people and doing new things in order to maintain your standard of living. How will you spend your time? In volunteering? Going to school? Teaching? Supporting others? A host of other activities?

4. All of the above means you will be establishing a new identity. You are no longer the same person you were before your loss. Part of restructuring your identity depends on how dependent you were on the deceased. Sometimes it takes great courage to create a new identity.

How do we get a new identity? It is a long term project that often means giving up old roles and taking on new ones, evaluating who you are (your identity beliefs) and who you want to become. It is structured on skills, relationships, new expectations and hopes, and the new behaviors necessitated by your loss. We also define ourselves by who we hang out with and who we shun.

Your new way of looking at the world, developing goals and purposes, accepting the enormous change, and telling yourself you are good, capable, loveable, and can love–will all be woven into your new identity.

So what can you do with the wisdom of the ages? The first step is to realize that your beliefs affect everything you do. Yes, everything. What you believe about death, an afterlife, your loved one, and your ability to deal with his/her loss drives your grief work. Then decide where you want to go in your new life. Do you want to always be loss oriented or restoration oriented?

Believe the inescapable–that loss changes us. There is little choice here.

Choose to believe it’s a new life. You will always love the deceased. Talk to and keep him/her alive in your heart, family celebrations, anniversaries, and memorials. But start your new life, continue to grow and love. Trust grief and let it take its course, and reinvest your emotional energy into your new life.

Autism Treatment – Herxheimer Reactions

When dealing with yeast or bacterial issues, we often hear about die off reactions. In traditional medical terminology this is what is known as a Herxheimer reaction. The term Herxheimer reaction was originally coined to describe treatment reactions in those people with syphilis. The term is also used in the Lyme community since parasite die off can also cause a Herxheimer reaction. When we talk about yeast Herxheimer reactions, we can see an increase in yeast symptoms such as inappropriate laughter, silliness, goofiness, giddiness, increased sensory issues and self stimulatory behaviors.

If the problem is bacterial in nature and the child with Autism is neurologically sensitive to those organisms, what you may see is moodiness, irritability, aggression, self injurious behaviors and some children with bacterial issues even have tics. And when you start treating for these infections, these things can actually get worse before they begin to improve. There is a lot of information out there about how to deal with this.

Activated charcoal can help tremendously with a Herxheimer reaction. Activated charcoal is taken orally and it binds with toxins in the digestive tract, preventing them from being absorbed. The suggested dose is one or two capsules per day and that usually does the trick. Each capsule is about 250 – 300 mg. It can really help to stop those die off reactions. Another possible remedy for children that can tolerate this is to squeeze a lemon and a lime into an 8 ounce glass of water. The child can sip the water with the juice every 15 minutes or so throughout the day. This serves to alkalinize the body and creates a PH shift making the system less acidic. That can often times halt a die off reaction as well. But that will only work in children who can tolerate that type of taste.

I wanted to share a couple of potential options to help stop die off reactions. We have used this often when treating patients undergoing intensive Lyme disease therapy. The lemon and lime drink often works to help resolve the fatigue, joint aches and fevers they suffer from. It could help your child as well.

Intro To Polyethlene Film Extrusion

An extruder is a screw turning cylinder or extrusion barrel. There is a feed hopper at one end of the barrel and a specially shaped hole or die at the other, where the product comes out.

Plastics for extrusion are thermoplastics they get soft when heated and harden again on cooling. When such a material is fed into the hopper it is caught by the screw and pushed through the barrel where it gets hot and softens enough to continue out through the die. The heat is generated by friction as the screw turns in the plastic mass. The energy to melt really comes from the motor as it turns the screw. Sometimes more heat is provided by external barrel heaters and pre heated feed throat.

As the hot soft plastic comes out of the die it takes shape of the hole it passes through a long slit makes a film or sheet, a circular opening makes pipe many small holes make filaments, etc. Once out of the die the plastic must be cooled quickly by air, water or contact with metal and pulled away to be rolled or cut up to the desired dimensions.

The turning screw can be imagined as trying to unscrew itself backward out of the barrel full of material. It can’t go back because a bearing holds it in place but its pushed against the material forces that material out the other end.

The die at the other end acts as a resistance. The longer and smaller it is the more screw must work to push the material out (horsepower required of the motor that turns the screw).

The extruder operator controls the temperatures of the screw and the material that enters. The barrel is divided into zones. each with its own heating and cooling controls. Barrel temperatures do have to match material temperatures but are selected as needed in each zone. The rear feed zone is especially important as it affects the feed rate and may control production rate. In the head and die there are heaters and controls also and metal temperatures are usually close to material temperatures.

Material melt temperature is measured at the output end of the screw just before the plastic enters the die. It is typically between 350 to 450 degrees F. but may be more for certain plastics. If it gets to high there maybe cooling problems of the material or perhaps chemical breakdown of the plastic.

Melt pressure is also measured at the output and of the screw and reflects the resistance of the head and die assembly. Typical pressure are between 500 psi and 5,000 psi and for tiny dies or very viscous material it may be even more.

Screw speed is selected usually as high as long as it produces good product. Typical screw speeds are between 50 and 150 RPM.

Motor amps are measured as a warning to stay below the danger limits and to show up surging which causes thickness variation in the material and unexpected changes in material viscosity (ease of flow). Amps and horsepower vary greatly with machine size from small machines 5 to 50 horsepower up to huge lines for compounding which uses 1,000 horsepower or more.

Soon I Will Be Dead: Where Do I Go From Here?

84 years old.

Soon I will be dead.

Where Do I Go From Here?

I have just passed my eighty third birthday. It’s time to start thinking about the inevitable. I read the obituaries every day and realize that, little by little, I am passing everyone listed there. I guess I am getting old.

What do you mean getting old, Carl?

You passed a cemetery the other day and two guys chased you with a shovel!

You don’t buy green bananas any more!

You are old!

Come on Carl, stop being silly.

Ok. Ok. On with the subject… Since time began, men have pondered about the after life. Does it exist? Is there a place we go after we die? Is there a heaven? What is it like? Do we have wings? Do we float on a cloud? What about hell? Do we shovel coal into an eternal fire?

Shakespeare wonders in his famous soliloquy,”To Be Or Not To Be.”… To die, to sleep… no more… and by to sleep to say we end the heartaches and the thousand natural shocks the flesh is heir to? ‘Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.

To die… to sleep… to sleep perchance to dream? Ay! There’s the rub!”

THE Egyptians, Ancient Indians, countless religions all prepare their loved ones for the final journey in many ritualistic ways.

It’s the great mystery. We don’t want our lives to end,

Maybe that’s why we tend to avoid using the word die.

I once wrote a poem called, “Let’s face it.”

Haven’t you noticed? Open your eyes.

In this day and age, nobody dies.

When we get old, feeble and gray

And our heart stops. We just pass away.

Why do our friends sigh, mourn and weep

If in fact, we have just gone to sleep?

Come on. Face it. Give it a try.

The Angels don’t take us,

We die.

Well that’s kind of final and not what I choose to believe now.

Why? I go back to the argument I used in my last column.

Persons, far more intelligent and respected than I, believe that there is an after life.

Why shouldn’t I?

Also, the God I worship and trust has promised it to me.

So, I look forward to it as a great adventure.

I don’t believe there is anything to be afraid of. Think about it. If we can survive birth, why not death? We are so comfortable in our Mother’s womb. It is warm and safe. We are fed. No problems… No taxes… No politics… No rent to pay… All of a sudden… Wham! We are thrust out into the world. Someone slaps us on the fanny. We cry.We are hungry and cold. Henceforth, we have to struggle to survive. Dying has got to be a little better than that. God demands faith and that’s what we need. It is a better place.

Sometimes we are blessed with a sign. I want to share a personal experience that is true. You can choose, or not, to believe it.

My Mother, bless her, died more than 25 years ago. She was very ill in a hospital in Florida and I went down to be with her. I was there almost two weeks and I had to get back to work. She was stubbornly still among us. So, my brother and sisters left me alone to say good by to her before taking me to the airport. I was holding her hand and said,”Just think Mom, soon you will be with Dad and all your loved ones.”

“You really think so?” She replied. When I said yes, she sighed and said, “Well isn’t that going to be nice!” Then she closed her eyes and went to sleep. I figured that would be a good time to leave. Those were the last words I heard her say. “Well isn’t that going to be nice! “

A few days later I got the bad news and went back for the funeral.

A couple of years ago, I got a phone call from a lady. She told me she had been to see me and we discussed the fact that she had psychic abilities and some times communicated with dead people. I did not remember her.

So, I was very suspicious when she said, “I am contacting you because your Mother has been coming to me in a dream and asking me to call you and tell you that you should be taking better care of yourself. You have been working too hard and should go for a check up.”

I was wondering what she really wanted when she said, “Also, to make sure and tell you,Yes, it really is nice”… I was amazed because I had not told anyone about that final conversation. It was a private memory.

So, I believe I have been blessed with a sign that I pass on to others.

Remember, I am 84 years old. I don’t lie any more.

In my practice, I see people who are having a difficult time mourning. I tell them that they should allow themselves the right to do so. The mourning does not end at the funeral. We don’t run a race and stop at the finish line. But, I remind them that they are mourning the loss they experience. That the persons we love and miss are in a better place and we are destined to be there with them some day.

People worry as to whether they will be admitted to heaven. They are burdened with guilt. Remember, God is a loving father. He is patient and forgiving. No need to worry. He will forgive and welcome you.

Back to the silliness:

We have only two things to worry about.

Will we be well or get sick?

If we are well, we have nothing to worry about.

If we get sick, we have only two things to worry about.

Will we live or will we die?

If we live, we have nothing to worry about.

If we die, we will have only two things to worry about.

Will we go to heaven or go to hell.

If we go to heaven, we have nothing to worry about.

If we go to hell,

We will be so busy saying hello to our friends,

We will have nothing to worry about!

Sorry! Back to the seriousness.

Since we are finite in nature, the concept of eternity is very difficult for us to fathom.

A woman once said to me, “How could there be a heaven? Where would they put all the millions of people who have died? There would not be enough room! “

I asked her if she had ever looked at the stars on clear, dark night.

A man once remarked, ” I don’t think I would want to live for ever. It would be very boring.” What he did not realize is that eternity is an eternal now. It is not a lot of days and weeks and years. It is an eternal moment. That is very difficult for us to imagine. That’s why it is a great mystery and adventure. Something to look forward to.

Don’t misunderstand me. I am in no hurry.

I have,

“Miles to go before I sleep and promises to keep”.

P.S. All this reminds me of a joke and people who know me will tell you I love to tell a joke. So perhaps I will leave you with a smile.

Abe dies and his wife Becky misses him. She decides to have a seance. She is seated at a round table with her friends in the dark, just a candle burning. They are holding hands. All of a sudden she hears.. “Becky! Becky!”

“Abe, is that you? “

“Yes, Becky, it’s me, Abe”

“Abe, how are you? Are you happy?”

“Oh yes Becky. I am very happy. All the cows! All the beautiful cows! “

“Abe, they have cows in heaven?”

“What heaven… I’m in Argentina. I came back as a bull!”
