Halitosis Cure

So how do you go about curing halitosis breath naturally? First, you need to tackle the problem. The first step you have to take in treating halitosis is to consult your dentist. In doing so, you will know which cause of action to take next. However, if you already know what is causing your bad breath, but just can’t seem to cure it, maybe these few cures may help.

1. Take a good look at your diet. Is it consisting of too much meat? Protein, which is found in meat, is a main reason contributing to bad breath. Another factor which leads to bad breath is also foods like garlic and onion. So if you have lots of them in your diet, try to cut down on them. Instead, eat more fruits and vegetables.

2. Are you maintaining your proper daily oral hygiene? What maintaining proper oral hygiene means to brush your teeth thoroughly at least twice a day using fluoride toothpaste. You have to brush along your gumline, and also your tooth surfaces. While brushing, do not forget to clean the surface of your tongue. On top of brushing, flossing should also be done once a day to remove extra food stuck in between teeth.

3. Do you have a naturally dry mouth? Fret not! The most obvious way of keeping your mouth wet is to drink more water! Not only does it freshen your breath, it keeps you hydrated and healthy. Otherwise, you can always suck on sugar-free mints, or chew on some sugar-free gum.

4. Are you taking tobacco products? Tobacco products contain inherent chemicals which promote bad breath, so by nipping that problem in the bud, you’re a further step to naturally curing halitosis.

5. Mouthwashes also help to freshen breath, but it is only temporary. Gargle the mouthwash in your mouth for roughly 30 seconds before proceeding to spit it out.

6. See your dentist on a regular basis, which is every 6 months! You should be on a smooth sailing way to get rid of that halitosis breath!
