Using Intraday Trading Charts to Trade Binary Options

The short duration associated with a binary option contract makes using and understanding intraday trading charts crucial to success. Here are several I look at (and one I have developed for personal use) that help me decide whether the market will go up, down, or sideways in the near future.

Traditional Market Indicator 1: VIX

The VIX has a long history of being a good gauge of the current psychological state of sophisticated investors. We can say this because the level of this marker is a representation of the level of buy and sell insurance (call and put options) held in the stock market on the most representative index of large-cap stocks – the S&P 500. A relatively high level on this gauge represents a more cautious investing public toward large equities, whereas a low-level indicates a more complacent populous. It is fairly well accepted that extremes (particularly on the high-side) of this marker represent likely inflexion / turning points in stock price direction. Any sensible equities-based strategy almost certainly takes into account the current VIX price.

Other Typical Trading Charts Used: 50DMA and 200DMA

Two of the other most common intraday trading charts used by active investors (binary options or otherwise) are the 50 and 200 day moving averages (DMA) – either of broad indexes as a whole, or for individual securities. Knowing the current price of a security relative to its 50 or 200 DMA can be an important clue as to whether that asset is reaching a cap or support level. Many books about charting have been written covering the various ways individuals and institutions use trend lines of support and resistance based on the moving averages – far too many written to cover here. Suffice to say it is important to know where those lines are because there are large volumes of trades that happen in the market based on those averages every day.

Understanding the Impact of Forex on Equities Markets

Non-US investors typically have had to be more sophisticated in their understanding of the impact of the relative strength of the dollar on their trading success. A non-US investor, for example, knows that the success of a trade on oil binary options depends not only the closing price of the contract, but also on how their home currency may have moved relative to the US dollar (on which oil contracts are priced). Some parts of a gain on the trade can be lost on the conversion of earnings back into the home currency. Mercifully movements of forex tend to be small enough so as the don’t wipe out binary options winning trades, but it does have some impact.

Aqua House – Architecture That Integrates Water Technically and Aesthetically

Stephanie Madison of Habitus Living interviews the author about his book “Aqua House, Architecture that Integrates Water Technically and Aesthetically” Can you please elaborate on what inspired you to write Aqua Houses and the key ideas in the book?

Current concerns about global water usage and the increasing pollution of it’s environments is what inspired me to write Aqua House. The book focuses on the relationship of water and architecture. It re-examines the place that it occupies in architecture in order to determine how current practices in architecture contribute to the pollution of water environments and to what is believed to be an unsustainable usage of it. The book then seeks to investigate how some of these practices in architecture could be modified in the future in order to mitigate the water problem.

The key idea in the book is how can the design of a house integrate the technical and aesthetic functions of water?

I have attempted to answer this by designing a building (Aqua House) that works with both the aesthetic and technical functions of aqua. In addition, the design integrates water and architecture in a way that could contribute to reducing contamination of the water environment. While Aqua House is a small project, focused on the problem of residential architecture it can perhaps help raise awareness of wider water issues. The lessons learned can perhaps be extrapolated to a re-examination of other types of buildings and urban environments, where a wider set of water issues could be examined.

In following the principles outlined in Aqua Houses, how can consumers integrate water-wise solutions into their homes that are both technically efficient and architecturally aesthetically appealing?

The principles outlined in Aqua House is that rain, which is collected, recycled and cleansed, is celebrated and organises the house. An example of how consumers could integrate water-wise solutions into their homes is to locate in the entry hall of their house a reflection pool that stores high quality water. It would celebrate the triumph of harvested water in the way that the sink in the foyer of Villa Savoye does, and invites cleansing of a guest’s journey. Another example is to have a structure that consists of a series of aqua columns. The water columns replace the underground water cistern or solid water tanks used in other the sustainable houses allowing visual appreciation and awareness of quantity of the stored water, while also being used to supply the water needs.

What do you envision consumers wanting in terms of water-wise architectural spaces in the future, please describe? Why do you think consumers will be drawn to these spaces/design elements etc?

I envision consumers wanting water-wise architectural spaces to experience the various states and transformations, its distinctive tastes, sounds and smells. Water’s beauty is in its fluidity, transparency and reflective-ness. For example water has symbolic meanings: to Chinese Feng Shui it represents good chi and in Christianity, it means cleansing. People are naturally drawn towards water for its aesthetic qualities and musicians frequently celebrate it in their work. Schubert’s Water Songs, Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water, Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge over Troubled Water, Lady in the Water, The Wild River, Water Lilies are some examples of music and movies inspired by water. Paintings by artists like Hockney, Dali, Picasso, Monet, Escher, English all depict the beauty of water.

I think consumers will be drawn to the integrated design solutions knowing that each year they are sending 0.0 litres of effluent and 0.0 litres of stormwater to the rivers and oceans, and manage in the process to celebrate it.

Watch Your Words

Words are expressions of our mental attitudes. Whatever we think will be transformed into verbal explanations. So we have to be very careful of what we say, because words once spoken cannot be taken back.

Our thoughts, attitudes, mental impressions, childhood experiences all affect our speech which is only a reflection of these. We only communicate what we really think. Some people think one thing and say another that is superficial and will easily be recognized because facial expressions give the game away.

Words should be spoken carefully and thoughtfully because it will echo our mental reaction immediately and it may affect us in a great way. Never talk bad about others in front of children because they are not wise enough yet to keep quiet or speak according to occasion.

We may want to show ourselves of in front of scholarly people but do not make a mistake by uttering things you may not know properly and make a fool of your self.

There is a saying from Hindu scriptures- Mounam vidwana Bhooshanam – it means that silence is the ornament of the wise. They do not enter into unnecessary arguments like a common crow.

When a person babbles all the time, he not only degrades himself but also loses his energy and time. Silence increases the power of concentration and gives one power. Speaking continuously will only help to increase mental tension and anger. Unwelcome words may be spoken and can create enemies for ever. Words have a strange power that can uproot a person’s status even.

Divorces mainly occur because spouses do not hesitate to mouth words that will affect their relationship. Unfortunately ego makes man think that by talking in a superior tone he will win. But that is not the case. Unfriendly words will antagonize even more and make enemies out of blood relations even.

There are two ways to talk. You can request somebody to fetch a thing by adding please and you can order the person to do it by shouting and threats. A request is readily complied and a threat will only make an enemy. So make sure that you are polite in your talk so as to get desired results and to be thought of as a gentleman. Manners are always well respected.

We make or break friends by our speech. We must be careful and thoughtful about what we say and save ourselves, because what we say may go against us.

A Guide to LCD and Plasma TV Technology

If you want to buy a new television, you can choose between a Plasma TV and LCD TV. These are the current technologies used for all types of flat panel televisions available in the market.

Getting better value from your new TV is probably one of your big concerns. So here is a brief guide on LCD and Plasma TV. This guide can help you identify the strengths and weaknesses of LCD and Plasma televisions.

What is a Plasma TV?

The main component of Plasma TV screen is plasma gas. These are gaseous cells that can be charged electrically. Once electric voltage passes through them, the plasma gasses emit lights. This process is responsible for rendering screen images.

Plasma TV produces vivid colors and clearer images because its screen pixels carry their own light spectrum.

The Strengths & Weaknesses of Plasma Televisions:

High contrast is one of the strong points of Plasma TV. High color definition due to superior contrast is the best advantage of Plasma TV. It can also display black colors in high definition. There will be no grayish spots on your TV even if the scenes on the screen are totally dark. Because of this, you will be able to see other objects displayed on the screen.

If you love to watch fast paced action movies, racing, and other sports events, then Plasma TV should be your choice. That’s because Plasma TV can perform well in tracking rapid movement sequences.

The biggest weakness of Plasma televisions is its susceptibility to screen burn-in. This problem can disfigure the images in your screen permanently. New Plasma models however use devices that can avoid burn-in problems. Older models of Plasma TVs still suffer from this problem.

What is LCD TV?

The utilization of liquid crystals is the primary mechanism of LCD TVs to generate images. These liquid crystals can receive lights from a backlight source. The crystals will polarize the lights thus rendering different color spectrum. These colors will be transformed into millions of pixels producing clear and highly defined images.

The Pros and Cons of LCD Televisions:

You will not encounter any burn-in problem with LCD TV. This is a highly efficient television because it generates less heat so energy consumption is minimal. There is also a built-in anti-glare function for every LCD screen. So if you like to watch TV in a brightly lit room, then LCD TV should be your best option.

However, LCD TVs have weaker color contrasting ratios compared to Plasma TVs. Its ability to display ultra high definition colors will be limited also. Rendering black colors is also not a strong point of LCD TVs.

The quality of high speed movements can also suffer if displayed on LCD TV screens. LCD TVs have less ability to track fast paced movements. New models however have found ways to solve this problem.

LCD color pixels are also prone to color aging. This is the equivalent of image burn-in on Plasma TV screens. So, when the color pixels of LCD degenerate, you might see some white or black spots on your screen.

You can certainly enjoy watching TV from LCD or Plasma screens. These are the latest TV innovations and they are made to provide you with quality viewing experience. But these TVs also have strengths and weaknesses just like any other device. You have to know what you need in order to choose the best high technology TV.

10 Green and Eco-Friendly Tips For Web Design and Online Marketing

Since the trends involving pretty much everything in our lives are moving towards being environmentally friendly and conserving our natural resources, I wondered if we could apply some of these green lessons to web design. Ask any project manager and they’ll tell you any web design, programming or application development project has a finite amount of resources behind it (unless, of course, you have an infinite amount of funds $). So I thought I could extend some green ideas towards either saving those resources, or at the least, using them more wisely.

Use Less Fossil Fuel: This is a simple one for any developer involved with your project. Work virtually from home more often and spend less gas.

Use Less Paper: Who even needs a printer anymore? I don’t even have one on my desk.

Hire Local Resources Only: Here’s a no-brainer for anyone who’s tried it before – don’t use offshore outsourcing! I can’t tell you how many clients come ask me to fix their development project after they’ve spent thousands on some developer in India or China. By using programmers and developers who work locally, you don’t have to worry about language problems or redundant development cycles. Let’s face it – there simply is no pride in ownership from application code coming out of these emerging economies. It’s bad, it’s buggy, and it just doesn’t work. Local developers are here to stand behind their code, so you benefit by getting a product which both they and you can be proud of and promote. Using local resources also stimulates your own local economy, which of course represents the very same people to which you are trying to sell or market your business!

Sustainable Resources: In terms of green construction, this usually means implementing a renewable energy source such as solar power to sustain your energy. By why not develop websites which can also self-sustain? By using a Content Management System, or CMS, there is no need to continually hire coders or developers to maintain and sustain your website. A CMS will allow you to update your own website content any time you want, on your own schedule.

Recycle: Unless you hire a developer who started working yesterday, every programmer has an arsenal of code which he or she re-uses. Any good ASP.NET or PHP programmer already has a good library of applications which they’ve worked on in the past. Ask your web developer for a discount on a recycled application; if they’re already programmed it before, there’s a very good chance they will extend a discount for re-using a pre-built application which simply has to be customized for your use.

Lifecycle Planning: If you build a green home, you have to make sure it’s not going to fall apart and contaminate the environment in 10 years, so you plan for the inevitable deconstruction of your home. Why not also build the marketing strategy of your website behind a long term goal? Many customers get together a few bucks $, hire a web designer, and put out a website. And then that’s it. There’s no promotion behind it, no SEO, no marketing. So they just sit and wait and inside of two years they have this horribly outdated and obsolete website which no one visits. By working with a web design and marketing team which know how to plan the lifecycle of your efforts, you can extend the life and productivity of your marketing plan – even the eventual deconstruction of it (i.e., re-design).

Innovation in Design: When building green, the LEED system applies points for innovative design. Why shouldn’t you expect the same from your website designer? So many cheap and offshore web developers today simply rip off a template-based design or just change the colors and re-use old websites to sell clients what they call a “new” web design. This is one case where recycling is not desirable – you should always demand a new, original and unique web design, especially if you are paying for a custom web design. Web developers should constantly be striving to innovate design for greater usability and effectiveness; you don’t want someone else’s stale old design.

Incentives: Building developers designing eco-friendly construction now receive up to a 20% bonus for achieving a certification level higher than that required. Why not extend the same incentive to your web design or marketing team? Merit-based pay has an awesome power to motivate. Offer your SEO professional a certain bonus rate if they meet and exceed your expectations. Offer your web marketer an incentive bonus if your site meets and exceeds x amount of $ in sales. By making an incentive partner out of your developer you foster and build a profitable relationship for both of you.

Positive Economic Impact: There are two ways to measure economic impact; direct and indirect. Obviously, whatever it is you are marketing on the internet, you want it to have a positive direct economic impact on you own wallet. Don’t budget $10,000 for a new massive web application to sell $100 sneakers, and then forget to budget for promotion and marketing. In the downstream, this is going to have a negative impact on your sales since you didn’t plan for the eventual marketing expense. And what about indirect impact? Techniques such as linkbaiting and viral marketing can yield amazing rewards, even though they employ indirect marketing techniques.

Social Impact: In green terms, this equates to culture and quality of life; contributing to a positive quality of life for current and future generations. But in the end, isn’t this exactly what you want your web presence to achieve? You want to make an economic AND a social impact. One of the best ways to drive traffic and sales to your website is to offer something of value to your public, preferably free. By improving their lives in some way, you generate a social buzz, and people begin talking about your service and emailing your URL to others. You don’t have to think about social impact just in terms of MySpace and Facebook; a good marketing team can assist you in dreaming up bigger and even better ways to impact online social networking to promote your business.

Just in case you’re wondering where I got these green building guidelines from, they came from either the Federal Green Construction Guide for Specifiers or The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

How to Compare Car Insurance

Comprehensive insurance provides complete cover for your vehicle. It protects against any risk of loss accrued due to theft, damage to the vehicle, injury or death of the driver and/or passengers in the vehicle, and loss caused by the vehicle to other persons or their property.

Third-party insurance covers only damage caused by the vehicle to other people or property.

The policy premium of a new car is based on the sales value of the car. Where as, the policy premium for an old car is based on the Insured Declared Value (IDV). The IDV is nothing but the depreciated value of the vehicle. This value is agreed upon by both the insurer and the policyholder. Generally, the insurance companies have a pre defined list of the IDVs of the vehicles, brand wise, model wise and year wise. However, the conditioned of the vehicle will determine the final IDV.

The insurance company is not liable to compensate if the driver was driving with invalid driving license at the time of accident, or for damages occurred under the influence of drugs or liquor, riots, civil war etc. If a private car meets with an accident while being used as a taxi, the insurance company is not liable to compensate.

Generally, the car insurance is sold at competitive rates. The following factors should be borne in mind before buying a Car Insurance:

No Claim Bonus: If the car owner does not make any claims on the motor insurance policy in a year, the insurance company gives a discount in the premium in the subsequent year. This discount is called No Claims Bonus. The policy holder gets a discount of up to 20% for no claims in the first two years. This discount percentage goes on increasing in the subsequent years as long as no claims are made. The opposite is also true. If a claim is made in two consecutive years, the premium will go on increasing. The No Claims Bonus clause should be read thoroughly before finalizing a Car Insurance Policy.

Memberships: If the vehicle owner is a associated with a recognized automobile association, then the owner would get a discount on the premium. If the vehicle owner fits an anti theft alarm or any protective device in the vehicle, then he is eligible for a further discount in the premium. The anti theft device should be authorized by the same Automobile Association.

Special discounts available for handicapped people, available or not: Certain companies offer special premium discount for handicapped persons.

To avail this discount, the vehicle should have been altered for the use of the handicapped person. Different insurance companies offer varied discount rates. In case you are using such a vehicle, then compare the discount rates before going in for a car insurance.

Easy renewal procedure: Apart from monetary factors, check which company offers simple and easy paper work for renewal as well as for claims.

How to Stop Late Comings Forever? Employee Management Secret Revealed!

As an HR person, you always had this difficult problem of managing latecomers. And many times you tried convincing yourself that some employees are too hard to change, no matter how you motivate them.

Here are some points to stop late comings forever, with guaranteed results.

1. Track your employees with an accuracy of minutes: The first and foremost thing to do is to record employee in/out times accurately. As a human, it’s impossible for you to track an employee every time he comes in or goes out. You can automate this by using a time attendance device. If you don’t have one, buy a new one; it doesn’t cost much.

2. Attendance tracking, with an option for manual editing: Time Attendance devices are very accurate in tracking your employees. But as a manager it should be possible for you to add, delete or edit data coming in from time attendance devices. Sometimes, one of your employees is late because he was on a client visit. Your time attendance device will indicate it as a late coming, but as a manager you want to change the data to include the fact.

3. Consolidate and analyze your findings: So you had been tracking employees for some time; now, consolidate your findings. Create employee wise monthly or weekly reports on latecomers. Also create department wise reports on latecomers. Analyze how many hours were lost because of latecomers.

4. Present your findings to your employees and management. Send monthly attendance summary reports to each employee, at the end of every month. Let the employees know that they are being traced. Send department wise attendance reports to department managers

5. Implement new company policies: If your company doesn’t have good policies on late comings, create new policies. For eg. If an employee is late for more than three times a month, he loses salary for a day.

6. Motivate your employees; find employee of the month: As you have accurate attendance data, find the employee with the best attendance record for the month. Display the information in your notice board, publish it in your internal website, and motivate other employees.

Just imagine doing all these manually; it’s nearly impossible. You really need a software that can automate all these. A good HR software can do the following for you:

1. Interprets data coming in from a time attendance devices

2. Allows manual editing of interpreted time attendance data

3. Generates consolidated employee, department wise reports

4. Sends consolidated reports to employees and management each month end.

5. Processes salary considering your attendance rules and company policies.

6. Generates attendance summary to find the employee of the month.

Attend HRM is an HR software that can automate all these and much more. You can download a free version of Attend HRM from http://www.lenvica.in.

What Happens To Your Skin If You Over Wash?

What happens if you wash your skin too often? Does it get drier or oilier? And is it’s wise to use a skin cleanser, soap, or a make up remover? All of this and then some will be covered in this quick article.

The answer to what happens if you over wash your skin depends on what kind of skin type you have. At first you may notice your skin being drier than usual, but the thing is that often when you over wash your skin it starts compensating the loss of sebum and gets oilier than before.

For most people it is best to wash the skin only once or twice a day. To avoid washing out too much of your skin’s sebum you should wash it with lukewarm water. Hot water is more drying to the skin.

Most soap and cleansers are too harsh for the skin, as they contain risky chemicals and alcohol. Those ingredients can cause premature skin aging and irritation. Avoid all regular soap and cleansers, and if you feel like you need something extra to clean your skin then look for a gentle natural skin cleanser.

Make up removers are mostly the worst for the skin, as they are too harsh. An easy way to clean your skin from make up is simply by using a cold pressed plant oil like olive oil or coconut oil. These things effectively and gently remove make up as well as dirt.

After washing your skin it is important that you moisturize it properly. Regular moisturizers you find in the store can have the same effects on your skin as over washing. This is because they often contain mineral oil, an ingredient that clogs your pores and rips the natural sebum of the skin.

The best moisturizers are completely natural and contain proven effective ingredients. It is wise to choose a moisturizer that helps to prevent skin aging signs like wrinkles and fine lines, because it is harder to get rid of them when they have appeared.

The Pumpkin and the Walnut – A Teaching Tale

(Note: this story involves a fictional character named Mullah Nasruddin. The humorous tales about him are popular in the Mid East and in particular amongst the Afghan people).

One warm day, Nasruddin was relaxing in the shade of a walnut tree. After awhile he pondered the huge pumpkins growing on vines nearby and the small walnuts growing on a towering tree.

“Sometimes I just cannot understand the ways of God” he thought. “Why on earth does he let tiny walnuts grow on such a majestic tree and enormous pumpkins on those delicate vines!”

Just then a walnut fell from the tree and smacked Nasruddin square on top of his bald head. He got up at once and lifted his hands to the heavens in supplication.

“Oh my God! Forgive me for my questioning ways! You are the one who is all-wise. Where would I be now if pumpkins grew on trees!”

Throughout the ages there has been a lot of talk about the “secret plan of the universe”-usually by people who make the unlikely claim that they have somehow figured it out!

Yet this story reminds us that there are mysteries that are beyond our current level of comprehension.  And this has relevance to people who are goal-oriented.

Some of the aforementioned individuals who claim to have cracked the secrets of the universe will tell you that if your intentions and beliefs are strong enough, literally everything is possible because the “universe” wants to grant all our wishes.  Is that so?

If we go along with the idea that there is some sort of unseen and benevolent wish-granting entity at work in our lives, wouldn’t it be wise enough to recognize that some of them would in the long run be harmful to ourselves or the greater good ?

As a wise rabbi once said “God always answers your prayers and sometimes the answer is no!” Stay motivated and inspired but be flexible enough to know that sometimes you have to shift your intentions.
