Carl Sagan, Fritjof Capra on "The Dance that Reveals the Mysteries of Universe" – Part II

Dr Fritjof Capra, PhD (Austrian born American physicist) was born on 1st February 1939 in Vienna, Austria. He earned a Ph D in theoretical physics from the University of Vienna in 1966. He has done research on particle physics and systems theory and has written popular books including the famous book The Tao of Physics.

The book was published in 1975 by a small publisher initially; the book became an underground bestseller by word of mouth before it was picked up by a major American Publishing house. This has been published in 43 editions in 23 languages so far. Millions have read the book.

He has explained about Shiva Nataraja thus:

“In contrast to the mechanistic view of classical Western science, the Eastern view could be called an organic, holistic, or ecological view.

“To eastern Mystics, objects have a fluid and ever-changing character. Change and transformation, flow and movement, play an essential role in their world view. The cosmos is seen as one inseparable reality, forever in motion. It is alive, organic, spiritual and material at the same time. A very similar view is now emerging from modern physics.”

One has to read Capra’s book in order to understand the cosmic dance of Shiva Nataraja which reveals the mysteries of the Universe.

He explains Shiva Nataraja’s dance: “Modern physics pictures matter, not as passive and inert, but as continuously dancing and vibrating. This is very much like the Eastern mystics description of the world. Both emphasize that the universe has to be grasped dynamically. It structures are not static, rigid ones, but should be seen in terms of dynamic equilibrium.

“Physicists speak of the continuous dance of sub-atomic matter which goes on all the time. They have actually used the words ‘dance of creation and destruction’ or ‘energy dance’. This naturally comes to mind when you see some of the pictures of particles taken by physicists in their bubble chambers.

“Of course, physicists are not the only one talking about this cosmic dance. Perhaps the most beautiful example of this metaphor exists in Hinduism – the idea of the dancing Lord Siva. Siva is the personification of the cosmic dance. According to Indian tradition, all life is a rhythmic interplay of death and birth, of creation and destruction.

“Indian artists have created beautiful pictures and statues of dancing Lord Siva. These statues are visual images of the cosmic dance, and so are the bubble chamber tracks photographed by modern physicists. They are a modern version of the dance of Siva obtained by using the most modern and advanced of our Western technological instruments. To me, the effect is as beautiful and as profound as the magnificent Hindu statues. In both cases, we are picturing an eternal dance of creation and destruction, which is the basis of all natural phenomena, the basis of all existence. Therefore, I have put the two together – here you have the ‘Dance of Siva’ merging the 12th and 20th century versions. You can see that this image of the cosmic dance unifies, in a very beautiful way, ancient mythology, religious art, mystical insight and modern science.”

Above are some excerpts from his keynote address at the Los Angels

Symposium on Physics and Meta physics on October 29, 1977.

The figure Dr Capra shows is an astonishing one. The dance of Nataraja and the dance of atomic particles are identical. One has to see it to believe.

Not only Carl Sagan and Dr Fritjof Capra, there are other eminent scholars who admire Shiva Nataraja. We will see their views in our next article.

Reverse Psychology and the Law of Attraction

Is it possible to just ‘fake it’ and act like you are applying the Law of Attraction? What do you think?

The Law of Attraction is a simple concept: whatever you focus on in your life, and however you feel about things, will send a vibration out to the Universe that the Universe will match in like vibrations and bring back to you what you have been focusing on. Sounds pretty easy, doesn’t it? Until you begin to apply it and you realize how the logical mind takes over and doesn’t want to focus on what you want. It wants to focus on the worst case scenario or the fear and worry of what you don’t have, but by focusing on the negative, the Universe brings negative back to you through the Law of Attraction. Is the Universe some mean entity that brings you negative? No, the Universe loves you and supports you in everything that you do and is on automatic when it comes to what it brings to you through vibration.

Whatever you vibrate out comes back to you in some form… always.

So the question is: if you are a negative person who is attempting to switch to the more positive side of life can you trick the LOA by using reverse psychology? Would it work like Tom Sawyer whitewashing the fence? Tom Sawyer didn’t want to paint the fence but he acted as if he loved it so all his friends wanted to join in painting the fence because Tom used reverse psychology. Could you pretend you love something and focus on it when in fact you really feel the lack of what you want? Could you trick the LOA into thinking you were focusing on the joy of the want? Absolutely not.

The Universe knows you better than you know yourself. When you act as if you are wealthy but don’t believe it will happen that is exactly what will come back into your life over and over again until you make the decision to change your thoughts and feelings on wealth. You have to change within in order for the Law of Attraction to work in your life the way that you want it to. The Law of Attraction is working all the time in your life. It just may not be exactly how you want it to work. You may be focusing on the lack of what you don’t have or the negative of your life and the Universe is bringing you what you are focusing on no matter what you think. There is no discrimination with the Universe. It is just answering your call that you are sending out.

Using reverse psychology will not further your efforts in the Law of Attraction. You have to work on yourself. The more honest work you do within, the more you will break down obstacles that seem to be in your way of getting what you desire. Tricking the Universe will only bring you more trickiness.

Dig deep within your own self, change those repetitive mental patterns that you don’t need anymore, and create new thoughts and feelings that will reflect the life that you want. You don’t have to use reverse psychology to get what you want. Just work on who you want to be and the Universe will match your vibration with the Law of Attraction.

Carl Sagan, Fritjof Capra on "The Dance That Reveals the Mysteries of Universe" – Part I

In order to understand the mysteries of Universe one has to turn to Nataraja,

The King of dance says Carl Sagan, the world renowned astronomer.

He was the head of the Department of Astronomy, Cornel University.

The famous 13 hour T.V serial, Cosmos: a Personal Voyage was viewed by an estimated ten million viewers in January 1982.

He said that “The Hindu cosmology may contain the answer to the modern day astronomers’ conflicting views that the universe may either be expanding or contracting.”

“If the universe is expanding as per the ‘Big Bang’ model of Fred Hoyle and Able Le Maitre, then what happens to the stars that expand, explode and died? Off,

as another school of astronomy says, the universe is contracting and that the stars and galaxies are being pulled back to a centre of creation, where do they all go?”

To find out the answer for this question he traveled to India.

He found the answer in Nataraja , the Hindu God worshipped by millions of Hindus.

Pointing to the statue of Nataraja, the dancing model of Shiva, he said, ‘The answer lies in Hindu Cosmology.”

Pointing to the conch held by Shiva, Carl Sagan said : ”

“This symbolizes creation of the universe, stars, galaxies and the human being.”

Pointing to the fire in the other hand he added: This symbolizes destruction of what has been created.”

He was wonderstruck on knowing the wonderful aspect of Hindu cosmology.

Why he has chosen India for Cosmos : a Personal Voyage? He explained it very clearly:

“The main reason that we oriented this episode of COSMOS towards India is because of that wonderful aspect of Hindu cosmology which first of all gives a time-scale for the Earth and the universe — a time-scale which is consonant with that of modern scientific cosmology. We know that the Earth is about 4.6 billion years old, and the cosmos, or at least its present incarnation, is something like 10 or 20 billion years old. The Hindu tradition has a day and night of Brahma in this range, somewhere in the region of 8.4 billion years.

As far as I know, it is the only ancient religious tradition on the Earth which talks about the right time-scale. We want to get across the concept of the right time-scale, and to show that it is not unnatural. In the West, people have the sense that what is natural is for the universe to be a few thousand years old, and that billions is indwelling, and no one can understand it. The Hindu concept is very clear. Here is a great world culture which has always talked about billions of years.

Finally, the many billion year time-scale of Hindu cosmology is not the entire history of the universe, but just the day and night of Brahma, and there is the idea of an infinite cycle of births and deaths and an infinite number of universes, each with its own gods. And this is a very grand idea.”

Not only Carl Sagan, Fritjof Capra the famous scientist also admired Nataraja.

In the next article we will see his analysis on Shiva Nataraja.

Learn to Meditate Using OM: The Sound of Universe

OM or AUM is the most important and significant word of Mantra tradition. It is considered as the root mantra of all mantra. In a majority of Mantra, you will find OM.

OM is the most often chanted sound among all the sacred sounds on earth. This sound is considered as the sound of the existence.

It is believed that the whole universe, in its fundamental form, is made up of vibrating, pulsating energy. Om is considered as the humming sound of this cosmic energy.

OM is said to be the original primordial creative sound from which the entire universe have manifested. It is also known as the ‘Anahat Nada’, the “Unstruck Sound”. This means the sound that is not made by two things striking together.

If you observe the nature of sound you’ll find that all ordinary audible sound are produced by the striking of two objects : bow and strings, drum and stick, two vocal cords, waves against the shore, winds against the leaves, bat against the ball, tires against the road etc. In short all sounds within our range of listening are produces by things visible or invisible, striking each other or vibrating together, resulting in pulsating waves of air molecules which we interprets as sound.

In contrast to the above, OM is the sound which is not the result of the striking of two objects. It, rather emanates on its own. It is the primal sound of the universe that contains all sounds in itself.

The meaning of OM

Well unlike all other mantra, there is no meaning of OM. It is actually not a word, it is a sound. As per Hindu tradition, OM is the purest name of God. It is the sound of the supreme consciousness. So when you reapeat OM, you actually take the name of God.

Now without going into the further philosophical explanation of OM, let us learn how to meditate using OM. Repetition of OM or AUM dissolves the mind it its divine source. The chanting of OM several time loud, purifies the atmosphere.

Sit in a comfortable undisturbed place. Take some deep breath. Now chant at least 7 times OM in succession. Make each breath last as long as possible. Teak deep breath and chant Oooooooo~~~~~hhhhhhhhhh~~~~~ Mmmmmmm~~~~~. Then again repeat this chanting of OM. Do this for 7 times. After this, stop chanting and sit for a moment of silence. You will be amazed by the inner peace you’ll get in such a small chanting of OM.

Listen the sound of Universe : Let us listen the sound of OM. You are requested to listen carefully. This sound of OM produces instant positive vibrations and takes the listener to a state of mental stillness.

Chanting the OM mantra for 15 minutes daily can produce remarkable effect in you. This mantra will help you to calm the mind, settled the thought process and realize the self.

Infinite Space As an Alternative to the Singularity

I have often wondered about the Big Bang Theory. I understand why it is the current favorite for the beginning of the universe. When we look out into space, everything is moving away from us. It would stand to reason that our universe began as an explosion. Wind the clock backward and everything ends up in a central mass. Que the explosion, birth of the universe, everything spreads out and the universe as we know it begins to evolve.

Another problem with the theory that had to be resolved was how parts of the universe that are too far apart happen to be the same uniform temperature. Again, this was solved by claiming the universe was at one time small, came into existence and then a period of inflation followed. This allowed for the uniform temperatures we see when we look at the cosmic background radiation. But why can’t this also be a uniform cooling of space from a reaction that tore through an existing medium rather than the expansion of space itself?

I’m thinking the early universe could have been comprised of nothing but dark matter. There was no free energy, no nothing, not even gravity because, since nothing existed there was nothing to experience gravity. And who knows if gravity effects dark matter? We only know that it has an effect on matter and that is only from observational evidence. Since there isn’t enough stuff in the visible universe, we have Dark matter to solve this problem. Dark energy may be nothing more than a leftover from the event that created the universe. That is to say, only this Dark Material existed before the known universe with the known universe and dark energy coming later.

So, this is the hypothesis I imagine. Infinite space in all directions comprised of dark matter. Some instability occurred that caused a small portion of this matter to destabilize leading to free energy that cooled to form quantum particles; which came together to form particles that went on to form Hydrogen. Hydrogen begins to come together due to gravity forming the structure of the universe we see today with galaxy clusters forming along filaments with large voids in between. All of this existing within a medium of left-over dark matter.

The increasing expansion of the universe being driven by the pure dark matter universe that exists beyond this expanding chain reaction. So, we have some of the dark matter reacting to become free energy with some left-over dark energy. The energy forms matter and the matter form the universe that is being pulled outward faster and faster thanks to the gravitational influence of dark matter. In this way we don’t need to have a singularity expanding and we can answer the question of what the universe is growing into. It’s spreading out into the existing dark matter universe. The dark matter universe IS the universe with our matter universe continuously forming within this medium, free energy released from dark matter.

So, is this possible? I don’t know. I just don’t like the singularity, because I have trouble envisioning what exists beyond the bounds of the universe. By supposing our universe is the result of an unknown reaction set in motion within and existing medium, space isn’t expanding into anything. It exists within a large, infinite background that has always existed. Perhaps a true form of nothing with something growing within.

Guitar Tabs Universe – Ways to Tell the Difference Between Chords and Tabs

The Guitar Tabs Universe, in this day of everyone being a Guitar Hero, is one often maligned as being in the same camp as chords. Two different beast, really. You see, a typical chord that you see the mom playing on TV with her kids as she plays the popular video game, is simply a process of memorizing patterns that sound melodic when combined with the other instruments. Very nice, but tabs are a different variety of playing the guitar as they usually are much more detailed an specific in their behavior as you learn them. Your being taken seriously as a true Guitar Hero will require that you will have a pretty clear concept of how tabs operate.

Another huge benefit of playing tabs as opposed to chords is that it will truly ramp up your guitar playing to more than a casual player of a video game; it will put you in the camp as a serious student of the instrument. Like any student of any musical instrument, having a concept of the core disciplines that make that instrument truly engaging, the discipline of learning tabs will give you more of an appreciation of the guitar.

There are many fine resources on the internet that guide you, both free and paid, but of the resources that have helped me from a personal standpoint are the ones I have invested in as they usually have a better detail of what I am seeking to learn.

In any program that you choose, you want one that will offer several different ways to tab a song and offer a variety, as well. The better the instruction for a visual standpoint, I have found, works better for most as we are visual creatures, by in large. We simply learn better watching than reading a manual of some kind.

In any program you choose, be a student of tabs over chords, as they will come on their own when you learn the essence of the tab universe.

The Universal Law of Attraction – How Many Universal Laws Are There Anyway?

The 7 Universal Laws, the Law of Attraction, the 12 Universal Laws of Success, the 6 Spiritual Laws of the Universe… All those terms, one talks about 6 Laws of the Universe, the other talks about 7 Universal Laws, yet another talks about 12 Laws of Success, I’ve even seen people talking about 21 Spiritual Laws of the Universe, or rather 21 subsidiary Universal Laws. All sources of knowledge promise the same magic of manifesting and attracting all desires and dreams of people applying one or more of these Laws.

Yet so few people are actually living their desires, dreams and success. Despite all the available knowledge about the 7 Universal Laws, the Law of Attraction, the 12 Universal Laws of Success, the 6 Spiritual Laws of the Universe and the subsidiary Universal Laws or Spiritual Universal Laws, there’s only a handful of people reaping the benefits that are promised to accompany the application of the Universal Law of Attraction or the interplay of Universal Laws in general.

So why don’t all those people not ‘attract what they desire’, ‘manifesting their dreams’, or ‘achieving the success they’ve always longed for’? Even the hundreds of thousands of people who have seen the movie ‘The Secret’, or the documentary ‘What the Bleep Do We Know’, or read the ‘Attractor Factor’ by Joe Vitale, or the Laws of Success by Napoleon Hill, or the ‘Secrets of the Millionaire Mind’ by T. Harv Eker, or any other popular self-help or self-improvement book, movie, film or other resource? One reason is that there’s no such thing as “effortless attraction”. As much as you’d like not having to put in any effort whatsoever, there’s always a bit of effort involved. But that’s a subject for another time… But there’s another, very important reason.

Here’s what the problem is. People can’t see the forest because of all the trees anymore. They completely lose track of the big picture. There’s just too much information about the 6 or 7 Universal Laws, the Universal Law of Attraction, the 12 Laws of Success, and so on. People don’t know which book, film, movie or other resource to pick. Are there 6 or 7 Universal Laws? Or are there 12 Universal Laws of Success? Or is there just 1 Law of Attraction? Or do you have to know about 21 Subsidiary Laws or Spiritual Laws or whatever?

Who’s right? Well, in a way, none of them are right. Or all of them are right. It depends on how you look at it. Let’s set this all straight.

The Universe is infinite. There are no boundaries, and no limitations. As humans, we are aspects of this Universe. In one way, we are the Universe, in another we are separate aspects of this Universe. This is not the time and place to get into the details of this, but if you want to learn more about this, scroll down and click the link in the bio box.

The truth is that our lives unfold through the application of Universal Laws, among which the Universal Law of Attraction. We can do this either consciously, or unconsciously (as most people do). If you do it unconsciously, life appears to be a series of ‘accidents’, and the big bad outside world appears to be making things hard for you in achieving your success.

However, as you apply the Universal Law of Attraction or the Universal Laws in general consciously, you can engineer your own success. You can set the stage for achieving your desires, and then act accordingly. The acting part is absolutely crucial, and this is where the efffort comes in. But what’s important for now, is that you need to be aware of the way in which the Universal Law of Attraction or the Universal Laws work together and the nuances of how they need to be applied.

So, how can all different sources be right? How can there be 6 and 7 Universal Laws at the same time? How can there simultaneously be 12 Laws of Success or 21 Subsidiary Laws of the Universe or Spiritual Laws of the Universe?

The answer is simple. Once again, the Universe is infinite. You can make things as complex as you like. Or as simple as you like for that matter. Make it more complex, and you can easily make up 21 Universal Laws, or 21 Subsidiary Laws. Make it a bit more simple and you can easily get to 12 Laws of Success. Or just stick to 7 Laws of the Universe. Every version may be potentially correct. What’s important is to what extent a resource is right for you.

I always like to make things as least complicated as possible. It’s not that I can’t make things complicated. If you want I can give you at least 100 subsidiary laws of the universe, and call them spiritual or required to attract and manifest whatever it is you want. But that’s not going to help you. The more Universal Laws you need to remember, the more difficult you make things on yourself, and the less likely it becomes that you achieve all your desires and dreams.

True enough, just knowing about the Universal Law of Attraction isn’t enough. There are some other Universal Laws to know about and understand if you want to apply the Universal Law of Attraction correctly. However, it doesn’t help you if you must think about a whole bunch of additional Universal Laws, subsidiary laws, spiritual laws, and so on all the time.

You know, there’s a way around this whole mess of 7 Universal Laws, Subsidiary Laws of the Universe and Spiritual Laws of the Universe, 12 Laws of Success, every average Joe and Jill pretending to be an expert about the Universal Law of Attraction these days, and so on. You can just get yourself an extremely clear and straightforward description of just 6 Universal Laws, or Laws of the Universe if you like. One of these is the Universal Law of Attraction. The fact that there are only 5 others doesn’t mean that this resource is less accurate or comprehensive than the 12 Laws of Success, or the 21 Subsidiary Laws of the Universe, or the 7 Universal Laws, or the ‘100 merry-go-round Spiritual Laws of the Universe rolodex’, or whatever fancy thing people come up with these days. There’s too much information, a too complex web of knowledge these days already anyway, so the last thing you need is an even more complex and overly detailed description of the Laws of the Universe.

Discussing just 6 Universal Laws, or Laws of the Universe if you will, done in the right, clearest and most straightforward way possible, allows you to automatically cover any subsidiary Universal Law you or any other can possibly think of. These 6 Universal Laws are the main Laws of the Universe, or the main Laws of Success. By pulling the levers on these main Laws, you’ll automatically set the stage and create the circumstances for reaping more benefit than you can even imagined possible from your application of the Universal Law of Attraction alone.

And because you don’t make things too hard on yourself by keeping things simple, you don’t need more than that in the form of 12 Laws of Success or 21 Subsidiary Laws of the Universe, or 21 Spiritual Laws of the Universe, or whatever. You can just cut to the chase, apply the Universal Laws and the Universal Law of Attraction in the right way, covering any potential subsidiary law, and you’ll create the life you’ve always wanted in the quickest and most straightforward way possible.

Give yourself a break, and make things easy on yourself for a change. It’s been hard enough for long enough already. Apply the Universal Law of Attraction and the other main Laws of the Universe together in the right way, and start changing your life.

This time for real!

The Spirit of the Universe and The Origin of the Letter [J]

The Importance of letters in understanding the past came up in the research to expose the roots of religion and language. This is what was shown to me to do when it commissioned the job ahead. Following my reincarnation and with a strong link to it the learning curve that followed was extensive and it took me to the depth of knowledge. The mysteries and secrets that religious organisations hide behind came to the fore.

Told to remove the wall of blindness that stands before the world and to restore the treasure stolen from the spiritual children of God was just part of it. The rest involved unlocking the roots of religion and revealing the bluff that it uses to survive.

The greatest bluff of all is the Catholic Church and the images used as part of its window dressing to get people into it. My knowledge already showed that heaven and hell are fake and that they were part of the old dreaming by which men assume power over others.

Taken back to Babylon, the home of Islam and the Capital of the Persian Empire, the visions and things shown are astounding. It took me years to complete the picture but the bottom line is that here is the source of all religious beliefs. Here men worshipped the sun as the Mother God and they stylised it into a woman called Mary.

The remnants of a city named after here is located northwest of Abu Kabul in Syria. In its library, along with the records in that of Nineveh and Babylon, are stories of the great flood and other things included in the Old Testament.

One of the visions given in the pursuit of the knowledge was of the sun’s rays passing through a holed obstacle at dawn. The colourful rings of beauty hold within them the right-angled cross. This is the instrument men used to voluntarily die at dawn and elevate themselves through the hole while riding the sunbeams into heaven.

In today’s world this sounds fanciful and highly unlikely. But in the ancient world of that region many things were unknown. We are dealing with a time when the earth was considered flat and heaven was the ocean risen up in some mystical fashion and in which the celestial bodies floated.

Early boats were built in the crescent shape of the moon for this reason. Reflections of the sun in the water gave rise to stories of the Son of God, such as that of Moses, Bacchus, and even Apollo. Taken from the water these so-called ‘sons’ (suns) became influential in the dreams that prevailed.

The shape of the circle and light gave rise to symbols. The most common of these is the ring enclosing the right-angled cross, which is found on every inhabited continent and in modern religious symbolism. When described as symbols the letter [i] shows the pole with the eye above it. It represent ‘eye’ in ancient symbolism while the letter [s] represents ‘spirit’ or ‘light’.

‘Is’ means that something exists and it translates as ‘eye of light’. Doubling terms was a way of increasing potency so ‘isis’ is such a term. ‘Issi’ is also a way of describing it. ‘Is’ can also be ‘es’ or ‘as’ and with the addition of another [i] from which [y] is also a symbol gave us ‘yes’ or ‘yas’ for confirmation of something being right.

To understand the origin of the letter [j] one has only to look at how the small letter [i] is written with a tail to the right. When that tail is pointing to the left the letter [j] is formed. Linguistically it has the same value as [i] and when added to ‘issi’ it becomes ‘jessi’ or ‘ jesus’ which is the old term for ‘spirit’ or ‘light’.

One can take that further, however, because it is the name of the Spirit and, therefore, of God. It was Constantine who established the Catholic Church in 325 AD and he put up the image of Jesus Christ based on this old knowledge. My research shows that he was Islamic and that the religion he founded is based on that of Babylon. The letter [j] is part of establishing that connection.

The 10 Healthiest Foods on the Universe – The Top Ten Super Foods List

Here is a list of the 10 healthiest foods that experts believe will slow down the aging process and protect yourself from degenerative diseases and other illnesses. These super foods also contain vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. They are also known to be energy boosters. Without further ado here is our top 10 healthy foods list:

1. Broccoli – Broccoli is packed with nutrients and antioxidants. It helps fight cancer, especially colon, breast and lung. It is also known to boost your immune system. Contains more than 100 percent of your daily vitamin K requirement and nearly 200 percent of your recommended daily allowance for vitamin C (essential bone building nutrients). All this from just one medium stalk of broccoli.

2. Citrus Fruits – These citrus bioflavanoids found in grapefruit, lemons, limes and oranges contain antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Consuming just one lemon provides more than 100 percent of your recommended daily allowance for vitamin C. It is known to strengthen bones and increase your so called “good” HDL cholesterol levels. They also act as an anti-inflammatory that will slow down the growth of cancer cells with inhibiting blood clotting properties.

3. Beans – Legumes (peas, beans, lentils) are excellent sources of vitamin B, protein and fiber. Also a good source of iron and zinc. Beans have been found to lower bad cholesterol (LDL), regulate blood sugar and reduce your risk of cancer and heart disease.

4. Spinach – Spinach is high in antioxidants which will destroy the free radicals that cause your body damage. Spinach is rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, immune-boosting antioxidants that lower the risk of macular degeneration (poor eyesight). Loaded with fiber, Vitamin C and calcium. In the fruit and vegetable group, Spinach is one of the most effective when it comes to fighting cancer. It is also rich in folic acid, which is known to help lower blood pressure.

5. Organic Eggs – Not only are eggs an incredible source of high quality nutrients, but they are also remarkably inexpensive for those of you who are on a tight budget (who isn’t these days). Some experts recommend that you eat the eggs raw to preserve it’s rich nutritional value. When you cook the eggs it loses most of it’s nutritional value.

6. Raw Nuts – Raw nuts are rich in protein, vitamins B and E, minerals manganese and copper. Walnuts consist of omega-3 fatty acids, which may help reduce cholesterol. Almonds help reduce cholesterol as well. Nuts have found to have both anti-heart disease and anti-cancer properties.

7. Berries – Berries are one of the best fruits there is. Nearly all berries are rejuvenating tonics for your blood and heart. They are high in fiber and low in sugar. Will help protect the cells in our body and help to reduce the risk of diseases like cancer. Several studies have shown that a daily serving of berries, rich in potassium, can decrease your risk of stroke. Also an excellent source of Vitamin C. Blueberries for example are rich in antioxidants.

8. Garlic and Onions – Garlic and onions, both members of the allium family, might well be called ‘miracle’ foods. Why? Both contain allicin, the active constituent which produces medicinal benefits such as lowering ‘bad’ cholesterol and blood-pressure levels. Garlic is a powerful disease fighter that can inhibit the growth of bacteria. Garlic is also a natural antibiotic. And research is mounting that garlic reduces your risk for various forms of cancer.

9. Fish Oil – Loaded with beneficial omega-3 fats including DHA. Helps prevent heart disease, cancer and many other diseases. Increases your energy level and provides greater resistance to common illnesses such as flu and cold. Some experts believe that fish is contaminated with mercury and dangerous PCBs so many recommend that fish oil should be taken in liquid form from a high-quality reputable brand.

10. Avocados – Helps to protect against heart disease and stroke. Lowers bad cholesterol levels, but also increases good cholesterol. Avocados also helps to increase the absorption of nutrients. It has shown to prevent and protect against different forms of cancer.

Gratitude Brings You Into Harmony With the Universe

This is the seventh in a series of articles based on the teachings found in the success classic “The Science of Getting Rich”, written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. This book-now in the public domain–is essential reading for anyone who wants to become wealthy. It served as inspiration for the hit film, “The Secret”.

As we saw in previous articles in this series, Mr. Wattles explains in “The Science of Getting Rich” that there is one intelligent substance from which all things proceed, and the first step toward getting rich is to convey the idea of your wants to this formless substance.

In order to communicate successfully with the original substance, you must come into harmony with it. Mr. Wattles explains that the way in which to establish a harmonious relationship with the thinking substance is through a feeling of deep and profound gratitude.

You should relate with original substance by acknowledging everything that you receive. Many people, having received what they want from God, cut the wires which connect them to the source by failing to recognize the gift that has been given to them.

It makes sense that the closer you are to the source of wealth, the more wealth will come to you. And since gratitude brings you into closer harmony with the creative energies of the universe, the more grateful you are, the more good things you will receive, and the more rapidly they will come to you. To quote a passage from “The Science of Getting Rich”:

“There is a law of gratitude, and it is… the natural principle that action and reaction are always equal and in opposite directions. The grateful outreaching of your mind in thankful praise to supreme intelligence is a liberation or expenditure of force. It cannot fail to reach that to which it is addressed, and the reaction is an instantaneous movement toward you.”

Gratitude is you reaching out to God. And if your gratitude is strong and constant, the formless substance will react by moving all the things that you want toward you.

In addition to keeping you connected to the source, gratitude keeps you satisfied with what you have, which helps in keeping your mind focused on the things you want more of.

When you fix your attention on the common, the ordinary, and the mean, your mind takes these forms, and it these forms that you will impress into the formless substance and draw toward you. You should give your attention only to those things you want to draw into your life. Since the grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best, it receives the best.

In previous articles we explained the importance of having faith that you will receive the things that you’re trying to impress into original substance. The grateful mind continually expects good things, and expectation becomes faith.

Cultivate the habit of being grateful for all of the good in your life, and give thanks continuously. Being grateful will bring you into harmonious relation with the good, and it will move the good toward you.
