Over Regulation In Building Codes & Certification Due To Climate Change Alarmists Is Stifling Growth

Have you ever wondered why rents are so high? Well, people with income property are dealing with supply and demand, as the supply remains steady due to the challenges of ROI for building new apartments, and the demand increases, the prices will not come down. What many do not understand is that all this Agenda 21 or now called Agenda 2030 infiltrating their recommendations down to the city levels around the country, this advice turns up in building codes and regulations. There does not seem to be any slowing down of these regulations at the local level, even if the Trump Administration makes good on Federal Regulation reduction.

Even at the Federal Level there are a lot of insiders who want to hold steady on regulations, they actually believe they are helping to save the planet. Consider if you will this factoid: The Government Accounting Office put out a report on January 3, 2017 titled; “Improved Federal Coordination Could Facilitate Use of Forward-Looking Climate Information in Design Standards, Building Codes, and Certifications,” published: Nov 30, 2016 and publicly Released: Jan 3, 2017 (GAO-17-3).

This GAO report cited above assumes that we have extreme climate change occurring right now, and it assumes that mankind’s CO2 emissions are causing it, none of which is proven. This is one more indication that the climate alarmists have infiltrated all parts of the US Government Bureaucracy and want to institute United Nation Agenda 21 style ‘sustainability’ into all future building.

Our unions want to control that by being the only training place for these new standards, specifically LEEDs Certification. By the way, for your information LEED = “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system devised by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to evaluate the environmental performance of a building and encourage market transformation towards sustainable design.” (Cite: Google definitions on search page).

In many areas you can only get a LEED certification from going to a Union sponsored workshop or tradesman course. You could attend a college, but that would take you quite a while and if you are a tradesman you’d need all your lower division credits first, which is tough for someone that started a trade right out of high school. Of course, if you go to a Union shop for training, you will be recruited by the union, are already paying union dues, or have to pay a fee to attend, thus supporting a union. Unions usually support leftist political candidates and lobby for themselves and fund left-leaning and socialist politicians.

If only union tradesmen can work on building in the future, this raises the cost of new homes and buildings and hurts Americans with financial burdens. It hurts home ownership and raises costs of businesses. It is killing America, and here the GAO is assisting in slowing growth. What we need is a change, but that change has to come from within and at every level of government, a new philosophy is needed, and it is needed now. Without it, there are definitely warm thunder clouds on the economic horizon, and they have nothing to do with Global Warming. Please think of this.

Is Malta Part of the European Union and When Did it Join?

When Malta voted to join the European Union, it became the smallest member by a 53 percent favor against a 45 percent. The result was closer than what Brussels or the Malta government had expected. This narrow difference on opinion was a source of great debate as the Labor party, which forms the opposition, argued that there was a lack of credibility since the majority votes were required to be absolute in favor. Most union groups and businesses backed the government of Malta as the campaign raged on. There was concern though, that this membership would be a threat to Malta’s independence, additionally the residents of Malta were worried that they would be exposed to unwanted immigrants. Additionally, the country also thought they would be submitting economically to larger states.

Since Malta became a member of the European Union, there have been negotiations between the government of Malta and the European Union legislation. Movement of people through the European Union member countries is free and this is a visual and more so basic significance of uniting the EU. Not only did Maltese citizens acquire free movement to EU member countries as tourists, they also got the opportunity to study, work, and train and for the purposes of retirement and simple residence. All these opportunities are the Malta citizens’ rights and the previous requirements for work permits and restrictions were abolished. Apart from the 15 European Union countries, these opportunities also apply to countries like Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein, which are new members of the EU as well as another 30 countries.

Compared to other countries that are candidates, Malta received dissimilar treatment because seven years transitional period was imposed by the EU during which their rights could be restricted. The same applied to European Union citizens seeking to get jobs in Malta. For seven years since membership, Malta gained the ability to safeguard against EU nationals’ right to work there. After accession, it retained the system of work permits and henceforth granted them to European Union workers. In case Malta’s labor market is threatened with disruption, it can withhold work permits because this is a matter of exceptional nature and urgency.

Terrorists Plan and Attack Soft Targets, What Do You Call It When Organized Unions Do That?

When it comes to hurting our economy exactly who is worse, International Terrorists of Large Unions? The reason I ask is simple, you see we are in a Presidential Election year, with less than 100-days to go, and the two candidates are talking about outsourcing American Jobs and debating why companies are leaving the US and seeking less hostile business environments; lower corporate taxes, few class action lawsuits, simpler regulations, and less grief from unions. Okay so let’s talk about who is really hurting our economy shall we?

There was an interesting article that appeared in News and World Report on September 7, 2015 titled: “With contract expiration nearing, UAW chief says he hasn’t picked an auto company to target,” by Tom Krisher, Associated Press Auto Writer – which stated:

“… UAW President Dennis Williams said Monday he’ll pick between Ford, General Motors and Fiat Chrysler,” and “Speaking after Detroit’s annual Labor Day parade, Williams didn’t address whether the contracts would be extended and gave no details about how the talks that cover about 140,000 workers are progressing; ‘Everybody says to me ‘Dennis, have you picked a target?’ Yes. General Motors, Ford and Chrysler,’ Williams said to applause during a post-parade speech. But afterward he told reporters that he would choose a single company by the time the current four-year contracts end.”

At the time of that article about one-year ago – The UAW (United Auto Workers) president stated he hasn’t decided, or THEY haven’t decided which car company to TARGET yet. WOW, any other sector in our economy and they’d face a Federal Indictment for conspiring in this way. I am pissed off with the double-standards we have in this Great Nation. It’s pathetic to allow the UAW to do this. Totally pathetic, Ayn Rand was right. Is this really about collective bargaining or is this about collective terrorizing.

And, what happens if companies don’t acquiesce? Simple, the union members will act like thugs, vandalize cars of “scabs” those workers who cross the picket lines, and harass management, part time workers and lobby to get government to come in and over regulate and fine the companies into exhaustion until they give up and pay up. Wow, so what is the definition of terrorism again?

“The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.”

Yep, that’s the definition and it sure fits these actions doesn’t it? So, if the democrats sponsor big labor unions, does that mean they are sponsoring terrorism? Well? Does it?

SSDI and This Year’s State of the Union Address

On the eve of President Obama’s State of the Union address, millions of Americans will be watching and wondering what he will say regarding the economy. Although slight improvements have been made in unemployment numbers the past few months, many are still concerned about jobs and government spending. The 800 pound gorilla in the room will be the national debt, which has risen above $14 trillion, and the spending cuts that will be proposed in order to decrease it.

Since the shootings in Tucson involving Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords, there has been consensus around Washington to tone down the rhetoric a notch and increase civility, if not bipartisanship. The expectation for the atmosphere during this year’s address, therefore, is one of both parties signaling they’re willing to work together. Specifically, President Obama is expected to reach out to Republicans and work with them on budget cuts. After all, the President’s approval ratings are above 50% for the first time since health care reform passed and is due in large part to, quite possibly, the most bipartisan and productive lame duck session in Congressional history.

However, bipartisanship is never as easy as it sounds. The Republicans are looking to play to their Tea Party supporters who want to drastically cut the federal budget by as much as $1 trillion annually. Meanwhile, the President needs to keep in mind the support he will require from liberals, who prefer raising taxes before cutting spending, to get re-elected in 2012. If the President wants to find a way forward on budget cuts and the Republicans hold firm on their determination to cut spending dramatically, there is concern that cuts to Social Security Disability Insurance may provide as a window of opportunity.

Tea Party Republicans loathe Social Security Disability Insurance as much as they loathe taxes: they want to completely get rid of it. They see it as free money for lazy people and welfare gone wild. Seeing as the Republican Party will pen the budget for the next fiscal year, some are beginning to wonder if the President will eventually be forced to see making cuts to SSDI as an acceptable compromise. He may not have to: cutting any part of Social Security is highly unpopular with the public at-large and Republicans may pay a political price in 2012 if they proceed with such plans.

Regardless, the Social Security program accounts for the most significant portion of the federal budget. Serious spending cuts to reduce the debt may need to be made there if Congress wants to make good on their word to drastically cut spending immediately. Citizens on disability insurance, Social Security Disability lawyers, deficit hawks, and concerned Americans everywhere will be paying close attention to the State of the Union address as the President lays out his vision for this year.
