As I was coming up with this article, I was faced with an inner comparison of negative cutting corners and cheating, and positive cutting corners and cheating and I came up with this reality: The positive cheating is innovative strategy that is harder than straight up playing the game in a great way or being genuinely competent usually without any cheating. I mean, face it, all greatness comes through the positive cheating and creativity I am writing about.

Indeed, to raise the bar on reality, there needs to be positive cheating, creative solutions and realistic thinking that does raise the bar and outside the box thinking after that realistic thinking that transcends the game in a sense. But, I am not talking about any negative cheating or destructively cutting corners at all. I mean totally positive cheating and creativity that works to better. Because a few other philosophers have said “Lying is the lowest order of creativity” in different and myriad ways. I will raise the bar and say this: To really win, genuine transcendence of all current rules is needed. In short: Growth. Napoleon Hill even wrote a certain book based on the concepts I am writing about called “Think and Grow Rich” and how do you think Motown and Stax record companies really came up with all of their great innovatively exciting music in the 1960s? Yes, growth, transcendence and bar raising creativity and positive cheating. Apply this principle to life and become great. Without this, everything is mediocre and “just getting by” on “effort needed. If you really want to win, start here by understanding the last two sentences fully.

CLEEN Foundation, a non-governmental organization, based in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, with a national spread, has raised issues bordering on sexual-based violence, police trust fund law, insecurity, and effective monitoring of the effective implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, by the Nigeria Police Force.

Benson Olugbuo, Ph.D, Executive Director of the foundation raised the issues when he led members of his team, comprising Mrs Ruth Olofin, and Mr. Oluwole Ojewale, on a visit to the inspector-general of police, Abubakar Mohammed Adamu, yesterday in Abuja.

Olugbuo raised pertinent issues bordering on Nigeria Police Trust Fund Law; rising and perceived insecurity in Nigeria; election security management and prosecution of electoral offenders; the Nigeria Police Force and the effective implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015; response of the Police to Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in different parts of Nigeria; police operations in preventing and countering violent extremism, and the new regime of community policing in Nigeria among other issues.

Responding, IGP Adamu itemized the proactive steps the police is taking to reduce crimes and criminality across Nigeria. He the NGO for her commitment to evidence-driven advocacy which has spanned over 20 years.

He also urged it and other non-state actors not to focus on the shortcomings of the Police only, but to also commend the Force for good practices as this would surely boost the morale of the officers.

He tasked the CLEEN Foundation to continue to provide advocacy support towards the operationalization and effective implementation of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund Act 2019by guiding against potential abuse of the fund by some vested interests.

On this note, the Executive Director of the CLEEN Foundation intimated the Inspector General of Police that the CLEEN Foundation will hold a National Workshop in Abuja on the 4th and 5th of September, 2019 to discuss Police Budget and the operationalization of the Trust Fund.

The Executive Director of the foundation, informed the IGP that the meeting will bring relevant stakeholders together to dialogue and present a sustainable framework for the management and utilization of the Police Trust Fund in Nigeria.

Considering recent security developments in the country, the CLEEN Foundation also notified the Inspector General of Police about the Public Safety and Security Dialogue Series which will take place in the last quarter of the year with a focus on inter-agency collaboration and synergy among the security agencies in Nigeria.

The meeting concluded with a re-assurance from the Inspector General of Police that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to partner with CLEEN Foundation and other non-profit organizations on broader issues of public safety and security in Nigeria.
