Men’s Fastpitch Catchers Mitt – What Should I Use?

When most folks think of fastpitch softball they think of girls. But there are lots of men, young and old that play the game too. Finding the correct gear is just as hard for men as it is for girls. Catchers mitts for men are even harder to find. Read on for some suggestions that should help.

Softball and baseball catchers mitts differ in many ways.

– size of ball used

– edge padding is different

– size of the mitts themselves

– palm padding strategically placed

– what mitts to use

There is quite a difference between a baseball catchers mitt and a fastpitch softball catchers mitt. They are designed differently for a few reasons. The size of the ball used is obvious to most. Fastpitch softballs are 12 inch around, and baseballs are only 9 inches around. So the mitt needs to have a much larger opening and pocket to catch the ball.

Fastpitch catchers mitts usually have thinner padding on the edges. This thinner padding is to allow for the larger opening and deeper pocket. You don’t catch the ball on the edge anyway, so why have it there. Most mitts have stiffeners around the edges too to help the glove maintain its shape with all the abuse it gets. What you want is a deep pocket that stops the ball from spinning. Fastpitch pitchers can put a lot of spin on the ball. Makes it really hard to keep in the mitt sometimes. So softball mitts are designed with larger webs and deeper pockets to do just that.

Baseball catcher mitts use that thicker padding to help trap the ball. The smaller size mitt means smaller pocket, so using the thicker edge padding helps trap the ball better when it snaps closed. The softball is bigger, so it can be trapped easier with thinner padding when it snaps closed at the catch.

The size of the mitt is generally larger for fastpitch softball vs. a baseball catchers mitt. Baseball mitts generally run from 31 inch to 33 inch. Fastpitch mitts will start at about 33 inch and go up to 34.5 inches for the adult size. That large size helps a lot with fast spinning softball pitches.

Catchers mitt use more padding than fielders gloves for obvious reasons. Baseball mitts generally have a lot of thick padding covering the entire palm area. That is where the baseball hits. Softball mitts use thick palm padding as well, but will often add strategically placed padding over the area between the index finger and thumb to provide more protection for the larger ball. Some will add more up into the finger area as well.

It is more important to have a good deep pocket in a fastpitch mitt than all the extra padding. When caught correctly, the softball will be guided to the pocket.

Both types of mitts must be made of thick sturdy leather in the palm, pocket and web area. The laces used must also be thick and sturdy. Most mitts use 1/4 inch wide laces in this area. Other areas can use thinner laces.

Now, how do you find a men’s fastpitch catchers mitt? Good question. Most fastpitch mitts are designed for the female hand. They have smaller finger stalls and smaller openings to help ladies manage the mitt better. That is great for the ladies, but what about the guys?

You can use them just the same. If you get one made of good leather, it will mold to your hand and be just as if it was custom made for you. Many men use them and get along excellently with them. I personally use one from Akadema that has served me very well.

How to Choose the Right Baby Stroller For Your Lifestyle

If you’re in the market for baby strollers it might seem as if there’s is an overwhelming number of choices. Making the right choice is important because your baby’s health and safety are at stake. It may seem challenging but it doesn’t have to be.

Remember that although all strollers must comply with safety regulations, some are much more stable than others. So whatever you narrow down your choices to, make sure that stability and your baby’s comfort are at the top of your list.

Once you make sure the stroller you like meets all the basic necessities as far as safety and comfort is concerned, the real trick is to fit the stroller to your lifestyle. This article will show you what to look for.

If You Like to Travel

The travel system stroller is often larger than other strollers because it’s built for people who like to travel. It includes cup holders, storage space, and may even have a car seat for your baby. Although it’s often larger and heavier than most strollers it is also safer for your child. If you like to travel and you can deal with its large size and extra weight this can be the perfect choice for you.

If You Are Athletic

If exercise is a part of your life then the jogging stroller can be the perfect choice for you and your baby. This stroller is specifically designed for jogging and brisk walking. It’s a bit larger than other strollers and has larger tires. This makes it safer and more comfortable for your child and will help to ensure a smoother ride, even when the terrain gets rough.

Keep in mind that you shouldn’t run with any stroller, even a jogging stroller, because you will be inviting danger if you do. Enjoy a regular jogging pace and your baby will enjoy it too.

A Casual Stroller

A lightweight or mid”weight baby stroller is easier to use and carry than other types of strollers. However they might not be as safe, especially for smaller babies, because they aren’t as solid. And because they’re designed to be light don’t expect to have a car seat included.

A Cost-Efficient Stroller

If your child is a toddler and you’re looking for one of the most affordable strollers, then an umbrella stroller can be a good choice. Although they offer fewer features and less support than other types of strollers, they are convenient if you stay close to home. Keep in mind, though, that there aren’t any storage places or cup holders on umbrella strollers, so you won’t want to bring cups or bottles on your excursions when you use one of these strollers.

Plus Size Girls Are Sexy – It’s Time For Plus Size Lingerie

For years, large sized women have been relegated to wearing bras and panties that look like big, white, underwire armor. For every twenty sexy nightgowns in the petite department, there was one flannel nightgown in a larger size. There were no plus size babydoll gowns, no plus size corsets and really no plus size intimate apparel to speak of at all. Well, times have changed. Now curvy women everywhere are expressing their sex appeal by wearing well-made, sexy lingerie and they demand more choices to help them feel romantic and confident for their next intimate encounter.

If you are a sexy, confident curvy woman, then there are now a multitude of choices for you in sexy lingerie. For instance, a curvy woman can now find plus size babydoll gowns that flatter even the curviest of figures. These gowns are cut to enhance a woman’s figure and are made in a variety of colors and styles. A curvy bride can now bring a different babydoll gown for each night of her honeymoon. Even when the honeymoon is over, a good quality babydoll gown cut to fit a curvy figure enhances even the most average evening.

Another lingerie item that has not traditionally been available to the larger sized woman is a corset. Since historically a corset was worn to mold or shape a woman’s waist into a tiny proportion, perhaps larger sized woman have just been overlooked. A plus size corset, however, does not necessarily mold a woman’s waist, but merely enhances its already curvy shape. A woman with curves can feel sexy and confident wearing a quality-made corset in her size and they come in many different styles and colors. A plus size corset captures the romance and drama of days gone by, and it is a wonderful addition to any curvy sized woman’s lingerie wardrobe.

Plus sized intimate apparel has come a long way. Tips to Build Homemade Coin Sorter

Do you have a lot of coin? It may be irritating to count it. Having your own coin sorter will be a good idea. You can also make it by yourself easily. You can get the material for your need by utilizing the plastic boxes. You can get them from the office supply store or house ware stores.

Your homemade coin sorter will be able to sort your mixed coin for you. You only need to put your mixed coins in and shake the boxes. The coin sorter will directly sort your coins between the boxes based on denomination. Then, it will put the coins into the wrappers so that you can easily take it to the bank. Then, what do you have to do for making it?

Step one: choose the drill bits

You have to make the drill bit which is a little bit larger than the dime, one which is a little bit larger than the penny, one which is larger than a nickel and another one which is a little bit larger than a quarter.

Step two: separate the boxes

You have to separate the boxes and then drill them to be three long rows with six holes for each row into the bottom of one box by utilizing the dime drill bit. Then, place the box on the top of one undrilled plastic box.

Step three: drill another box

Take another box and drill it to be three long rows with six holes in every row into the bottom of the box by utilizing penny drill bit. Then, mount it in the dime box. Meanwhile, for the penny and the quarter, you can repeat this step. Yet, for the nickel drill bit, you have to mount the box in the penny box.

Step four: add coins to the top of the boxes

You can now try your coin sorter to work by adding your coins to the top of the boxes and shake them from side to side. You will see that the smaller coins can fall through the holes of the top box. While you shake the box, each coin will sorted through the holes into each box.

Commercial General Liability Insurance: A Summary of What Business Owners Need to Know About CGL

Almost every business, regardless of size or industry, requires commercial property and general liability insurance. The cost of commercial general liability insurance obviously varies widely based on industry, with “higher risk” industries, such as construction, paying more. Luckily, there are some good sites that offer free quotes. For small businesses, CGL insurance can cost well below $100 a month, while larger businesses could pay hundreds or even thousands.

This makes sense, as larger companies tend to have more employees, customers they serve, and larger buildings they occupy. The more people and property involved, the higher the risk that someone can become injured. You might also be expected to pay for workers’ compensation, depending on where you live and what kind of industry you are involved in. Location plays a role as well. If your place of operation is in a neighborhood with a high crime rate, you will likely be expected to pay more for insurance than a similar business in a small town or country with a low crime rate.

You have a better chance of getting a low quote for commercial general liability insurance if you have experience, and if your business has been around for at least a couple of years. This is because the longer a business has been involved in the industry, the more financially stable they are likely to be. It’ll also look impressive if your company hasn’t had any claims filed against it.

Deductibles and Premiums in Commercial General Liability Insurance

Like literally every other type of insurance out there, deductibles and premiums are going to play a role. Lower deductibles usually mean lower premiums, and higher deductibles result in lower premiums. If you are willing to raise your deductibles, the cost of CGL insurance will be decreased every month.

Another factor that could play a role in the quotes you get are gross sales. Obviously, the more revenue you have, the higher your premium is going to be.

There are more options if you want protection for yourself. CGL insurance usually doesn’t cover injuries to the owner. Depending on your industry, you might have an inventory you want to protect. An inventory of goods is usually valued at the price the business owner has paid for it, even if you plan to sell it at a higher price. If you’re involved in the financial sector, you might want to consider coverage for errors and omissions.

Get commercial general liability insurance and any other type of coverage tailored specifically for your needs at Hiscox Insurance Company. You can get a fast, free quote in just a matter of minutes. Hiscox Insurance offers the best customer support.

History of Discrimination

Discrimination has a long history throughout the world.  Most societies, especially the larger ones, have practiced some form and some degree of discrimination.  In fact, a notable trend (though by no means necessarily an always true law) is that larger societies have had a larger propensity to discriminate.  Why?  Because of their achievements.  Larger societies, to reach the size that they were, had to accomplish.  They built extensive and complicated networks.  Their engineering was on a scale and level enough to support a large society.  Their art was complex.  They had a formal language and writing system.  All of these things were–and are–marvelous achievements.  But couple with them the fact that for most of human history, people lived only within their societies and had almost no contact with peoples of different societies, and it becomes easy to see why discrimination occurred.  They saw others as foreign and “backward,” not having accomplished as much as they did.

From a list of all of the societies that ever existed, it is easy to pick out societies that discriminated.  Spain used to discriminate heavily against the Jews, who were forced either to convert Catholicism or to leave Spain.  The Spanish also created a body–called the Inquisition–to persecute who were not like them.  So, people were persecuted for being Jews.  If someone was thought to be a witch, the she or he was also persecuted.  Likely, homosexuals were also persecuted.

In South Africa, Australia, and the Untied States, the black and indigenous populations have faced heavy persecution.  Jim Crow laws in the United States, intentionally imitated by South African and Australia, persecuted blacks.  Segregation was prevalent in all of these three countries.  Blacks were illegally prevented from voting.  Violence against blacks was common.  In the Untied States, the native American population faced heavy discrimination.  Their families were broken up, the children were forced to go schools that would eradicate their culture, and families were forced to abandon their original ways of life and live on reservations.

Fortunately, the world as a whole is less tolerant of discrimination today than it was in the past.  Most nations have laws barring most, if not all, forms of discrimination (discrimination based on sexual orientation is an exception, though, and still faces a lot discrimination across the world).

One specific barring of discrimination in the U.S. involves employment practices.  Employers are prevented by the law from discriminating against employees or potential employees (during interviews).  If you feel you have been a victim of any sort of work place discrimination, contact the Orange County Employment Discrimination Lawyers of Perry Smith by visiting their website or by calling 888-356-2529.

Dinosaur: Getting to Know the Giganotosaurus

As the name implies, Giganotosaurus, simply put, was a very, very large meat-eating dinosaur which would have equalled the likes of Tyrannosaurus Rex in build and height, with fossil remains proving that in some cases they were in fact slightly larger. Estimates have placed the length of the giant dinosaur, Giganotosaurus, to be around the 46 foot mark, and it would have walked upright on two legs. Despite the imposing name of Giganotosaurus, we do however know that there were larger meat-eaters that have existed, such as the Spinosaurus, which is perhaps one of a number of reasons why they don’t have the same name recognition as the afore-mentioned dinosaurs.

Giganotosaurus or Giga as we are now going to refer to them, would have lived in the late Cretaceous period, around 100 million to 96 million years ago. Fossil remains have been discovered in Argentina, a part of South America which is becoming a real hot bed for finding larger and larger dinosaur remains.

The first discovery of the Giga was in the Patagonia region of Argentina in 1994, and the fossils were found close to the remains of a 75 foot long plant eater, which has left some experts speculating that it had fallen victim to the Giga. The dinosaur gained its name in 1995 and it maybe this fact, that they have only been known for a short spell, which is why it isn’t as instantly recognisable as some of the other more famous dinosaurs that were found in the 19th century.

Gigas would potentially have weighed in at around the 8 ton mark, which is slightly lighter than the Tyrannosaurus Rex. A fully grown adult would have stood over 11 feet at the hip and would have had large serrated teeth, roughly 8 inches long. Similar to all dinosaurs with this shape, tall with small arms and a large head, there has been debate in relation to the speed of travel. Again, similar to the T-Rex, experts have concluded that Giga would have been very fast, using its tail as a counter balance and would have hunted down its prey, rather than being a scavenger.

Giganotosaurus is yet another amazing dinosaur. The fact we have only really just discovered this creature is probably the main reason why most individual’s haven’t heard of them. If fortunes were reversed and it had been discovered in the early years of fossil collecting, then Giga would probably have featured in many films and be a house hold name similar to the Tyrannosaurus Rex. There are some great images of how experts believe this dinosaur looked, which can be found in dinosaur books and on-line. Both Safari and Bullyland have created brilliant models that are always worth a look.

The Brigantine Ship and the Pirates Who Loved Them

The Brigantine was a powerful type of ship that was highly sought after by pirates. It was a roughly 150 ton ship, capable of carrying from 10-12 guns and a crew of up to 100 men. These ships were for big-boy pirates who didn’t have to hide or run from their enemies. Sometimes called “skirmish ships,” the Brigantines were made for combat, and it was a brave or powerful pirate who commanded one.

Brigantines were also occasionally used by the Royal Navy to hunt down pirates, but for the most part, pirate-hunting ships usually were a little larger still. Regardless, the larger Brigantines could gobble up the more common sloops like hor d’oeuvres (mental note: never use the word hor d’oeuvres in writing again. Pain in the butt getting the spelling and just doesn’t look right). Although the sloops were a bit faster and occasionally carried more guns, the Brigantines could take much more punishment and could hold more men.

The average pirate ship, a sloop, was a one-masted ship that could carry about 50-75 men and as many as (but rarely) 14 guns. Some sloops were larger than that, but in almost all versions, a Brigantine was a more favorable ship. In the pecking order of ships, Brigantines were above Sloops and Barqs, but below the mighty Frigates. Few pirates captained Brigantines. Even fewer ever captained Frigates. Blackbeard had one (the Queen Anne’s Revenge), but few others had the means to take and keep a warship.

The Brigantines carried two sails, but used a combination of square sails and “fore-and-aft” sails to give it versatility on the sea (which means that it could both outrun you AND outgun you). Of course, shipping vernacular changed and morphed throughout history, and the exact specifics of the Brigantine mutated with it, but all seem to agree that brigantines had two masts and were larger ships than Sloops. And they were really, really cool.

Semen Volume – Do Women Prefer Men Who Ejaculate More?

In addition to the question of penis size, many are surprised to hear that many men wonder whether or not women prefer men that ejaculate more. As it turns out, it is a culmination of several criteria that a woman either consciously or subconsciously utilizes to judge a man’s sexual prowess and whether they outright know it or not, women do take the amount of ejaculate that a man produces into consideration.

Beauty and sex appeal standards are not as skin-deep as we may think. At least, in regards to the beholder. As it turns out, men and women get their opinion of beauty and virility from their genes as much as their eyes and self-made opinions. Humans are programmed to view certain criteria of the opposite sex as important indicators to their worth as a mate. Since larger amounts of ejaculate almost always translates into more sperm, it is a logical theory that most women prefer men who expel more ejaculate on an evolutionary, breeding level. Just like between the choices of a large penis, a hairy chest, or a loud, booming voice, women view the amount of ejaculate as a factor in determining the breeding worth of a male.

On the surface, many women report that ejaculate is “messy” or “gross.” However, their subconscious tells them that it is completely different. On the evolutionary, instinctual level, women are actually attracted to larger amounts of ejaculate simply because their primal mating instincts have made it clear that it is necessary to bear children.

Most men do not know whether they are capable of increasing the amount of ejaculate that they produce, but it is possible. All-natural and completely safe herbs such as Reishi Mushrooms and Musli have enabled men for thousands of years to increase their ejaculate amounts as well as their sexual performance.

There are also products available over-the-counter and by order that contain almost all elements known to man that elevate sperm counts and boost erection size and strength. VolumePills has become known worldwide to increase sperm counts up to 500% and sometimes even more, enabling its users to abandon the average and reach the top.

How Do I Use Buzz Groups in Training?

Have you considered using buzz groups as a technique to liven up your training sessions? We have prepared this training technique and offer it here as a resource for facilitators. Read on to discover how to use buzz groups in training, including a detailed facilitator’s process, guidelines, pitfalls and variations.

Description

A buzz group is a small group, consisting of three to six people who are given an assignment to complete in a short time period. Generally, each buzz group records their output then reports to the larger group.

This Activity Can Be Used To:

  • Build an agenda.
  • Evaluate an activity, workshop or process.
  • Serve as an icebreaker.
  • Warm up a group to a new topic.
  • Solve problems.
  • Address a topic from a new perspective.
  • Share ideas.
  • Gather questions.
  • Generate ideas.
  • Generate lists.
  • Gather feedback.
  • Allow all participants to give input.
  • Create a safer learning environment than in a larger group.
  • Reflect and review.

Facilitator’s Process

  1. Pre-assess the group to determine what participants already know about the subject.
  2. Share the purpose and objectives of the activity with the group.
  3. Explain the procedure:
    • Form small groups.
    • Choose recorders.
    • Complete the activity.
    • Select one or more presenters.
    • Report back to larger group.
    • Debrief the session.
  4. Clarify the assignment, the guidelines and the reporting expectations.
  5. Announce the duration of the session, if applicable.
  6. Arrange the larger groups into small groups. Buzz groups can be formed in a variety of ways:
    • Ask participants to turn to those nearest them
    • Team up people of common/different interest
    • Team up people according to skill or learning style
  7. Advise each group to choose a recorder.
  8. Ask for and answer any questions regarding the procedure.
  9. Start the session.
  10. Circulate and monitor.
  11. Tell the participants when there is one or two minutes left in the activity and remind them to choose a presenter, if necessary.
  12. End the activity.
  13. Ask each group to report to the larger group.
  14. Acknowledge each group’s input and process the information.
  15. Debrief the session.
  16. Summarize the session by recapping the main points.
  17. Wrap up with a review of the learning objectives, if appropriate.
  18. Conduct a post-assessment to determine what learning occurred.

Guidelines for Facilitators

  • Use creative ways to break the class into smaller buzz groups.
  • Recognize that some participants feel safer and flourish in a small group; they may be less communicative in a larger group.
  • Prior to starting, inform participants of pitfalls and encourage them to keep each other involved in the process.
  • Observe the small group dynamics.
  • Create new buzz group regularly.

Guidelines for Participants

  • Ensure that you understand the assignment.
  • Recognize that everyone has important ideas and perspectives to contribute.
  • Choose a recorder.
  • Respect and listen to each other.
  • Encourage each other to participate and contribute.
  • Milk

Pitfalls

  • Allowing the first group to report all the information.
  • Too much repetition in the reporting process.
  • The facilitator exerting too much control over the buzz group output.
  • Group size is too small or too large.
  • One participant dominating the small group process.
  • Assigning a task too large to be accomplished in the allotted time.
  • Buzz groups becoming repetitive and boring for participants when they are used too often.

Hot Tricks

  • Add aromas, foods, drinks or colour to stimulate the senses.
  • Provide food and/or refreshments.
  • Play background music while the buzz groups are in progress.
  • Groups can work during a break, over lunch or outside in a different location.
  • Have participants work on their own projects if possible – learning is more meaningful to them.

Variations

  • Groups can be assigned separate projects, then educate the larger group as to their results.
  • Buzz groups may join up with one or more other groups as part of a larger group process.

We hope you find this article useful and we look forward to hearing of your successes as you weave the buzz group technique into your training sessions.
