The Art of Hair Cutting

Hair cutting is an art of shaping the hair using implements. Both men and women have their different haircuts style depending on their culture, social status, as well as personal taste.

The most important component of cutting is the tool. Various tools like scissors, shears and razors are used for cutting. Each tool results a specific type of cut. A stunning hairstyle can change the look of the individual. It’s not only the tool that changes the look but also a trained mind and a perfect hand.

There are various hair-cutting techniques that vary depending on the hair types and the desired hair-styles. Wet cutting is the most popular cutting technique in the industry because wet hairs are easily manageable. The only disadvantage of wet cutting is that the look changes after drying. Dry cutting is a perfect technique for straight hairs. This determines the actual look of the hair cut. Another technique is wet into dry cutting. In this technique wetting is done followed by dry detailing. Dry detailing is most commonly referred as blow dry.

Today, razor cutting is also in fashion giving the highly textured look. Layer cutting is highly demand and it requires cutting of each layer at a time. This cutting requires an extremely trained hand for a stunning look. The blunt cutting technique is good for any style that requires cutting of one length. Clipper cutting technique is used for cutting men’s hair.

From time immemorial women have been into hairstyling and cutting but today even men are flaunting their hairstyles. Men today are seeped up with various styles like spikes, mullet cut, hair color, buzz cut, etc. Men need to search for a good stylist or a good barber because barbers and cutters know how to cut men’s hair. If they try cutting at home or by any unprofessional barber they may get a crappy cut.

Today, hair segment market is grooming in India and the market value has reached to Rs. 200 crore. Several Indian hair-dressers are going abroad to bring in new techniques and styles. They have an art in their hands to give a stunning and completely different look. Some of our Indian stylists have great demand across the border.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: 5 Ways to Cut Down on Landfill Waste

Most people don’t spend much time thinking about just how much waste they put into the landfill every week, but just a single average Canadian produces about 30 million tons of waste every single year! And just where do you think all of that waste is going? It always used to end up in the landfill, but we are simply running out of places to put it. Thankfully recycling has cut down on the amount of that waste that actually goes to the landfill, but more still needs to be done.

Here are five easy ways we all can cut down on how much we send to the landfill.

  1. Creative – Think about ways to reuse everything. No matter what you are throwing away, there might be some ways it can be reused. Don’t be afraid to get creative!
  2. Organic Materials – Banana peels and other organic materials like that can be composted to create rich soil that’s perfect for growing your own vegetables.
  3. Donation – Recycle those old clothes by giving them to a clothing wholesaler like Seconds Wholesale, which will then get them to a charity organization where they will be put to good use by someone who needs them.
  4. Possibilities – Look for ways to reuse or repurpose plastic bags and containers. The possibilities are endless. Use plastic bottles to keep your plants safe from pests like snails or slugs naturally without the use of pesticides. Use empty yogurt pots to start seedlings before planting them outside.
  5. Recycled Material – Support businesses that take strides to cut down on the amount of packaging material they use and/or use recycled material for their packaging.

The possibilities are endless when you really start thinking about ways to reduce your landfill waste. The issue some people have is that it feels like a lot of work to take these small steps. If you are one of those people who are always telling themselves that they don’t have time to do these things, then think again!

There are numerous businesses popping up all over Canada that will help you treat the environment a little better and cut down on landfill waste. You will even discover that thanks to these businesses, large items that would never fit in a traditional recycling bin can actually be recycled. And these items should be recycled because they often contain hazardous materials that will cause damage if they are allowed to seep into the ground at the landfill.

For example, did you know that electronics and appliances can be recycled? You may be tempted to throw them into the back of the truck and haul them down to the local landfill, but there are much more responsible ways to get rid of them. If you really think about what makes up these items, you will discover that metal is a main component. Metal is one of the most recyclable things out there right now, and it’s ending up in the landfill because people don’t even realize that large items can be recycled if you take them to the right place. Even electronics can be recycled because those components contain a lot of metal and plastic, even though you don’t necessarily see these materials.

Some nonprofit companies help you keep more of your trash out of the landfill. They offer a clothing recycling program that enables charities to get the clothing they need to share with their local communities. This company also offers e-waste or electronic recycling, metal recycling, and even drop off and pick up services for recycling. They also purchase products that can be recycled as part of their efforts to cut down on landfill waste.

My Spouse Says He’s Realized That He’s Not Cut Out For Marriage And Wants To Be Alone

I sometimes hear from wives who don’t know how to approach (or attempt to overcome) their husband’s insistence that he is just more comfortable being alone. Perhaps he asked for some time to himself and pursued a separation and then found out that he liked being on his own. As a result, he may come to believe that he would rather live alone permanently and this can leave the wife very frustrated and very confused.

I might hear from a wife who says: “it didn’t surprise me all that much when my husband wanted a separation. He’s always been a bit aloof and a loner. He always seemed to distance himself from me emotionally. That is just his personality type. I actually know that he loves me and I don’t take this personally because I see him exhibit this behavior with every one else, including his family and very close friends. He can go months without contacting his family and then will only touch base when they reach out to him. So I know that this is just how my husband is. We’ve been separated for about two weeks and now he is saying that he wants to be alone permanently. I had to ask him if there was someone else and he assured me that there wasn’t. He says that he doesn’t really have any desire to spend time with any other human being. He says that he is just the type of person who needs to be alone. He says he is an extreme introvert and that it’s draining for him to have to interact with another person so closely on a daily basis. I have seen this play out in his life over and over again. But I thought that I would be the exception because of his love for me. He says that he has no immediate plans for a divorce. It’s just that he know realizes that he wants to live his life alone. He says that he still wants a close relationship with me and that he still loves me, but he loves his solitude too much to pretend that he doesn’t. He’s actually loving toward me when we’re together. But we’re both sad that it has come to this. I have no idea how I am supposed to handle this. “

Having Patience To See If His Attitude Will Change Can Be Helpful: I can’t say that this is a common situation, but I have heard from people involved in something like this more than once. Many people suspect that the husband or the unhappy spouse is just using this “want to be alone” explanation as an excuse. The assumption if that he doesn’t want to hurt his wife’s feelings and own up to the fact that the doesn’t love her anymore so he will just fall back on his introvert’s personality. I can understand why people might think this. But I believe that in some cases, what the husband is saying is valid. He may truly believe it. Or, he may be going through some sort of struggle that is causing him to isolate himself. I know that most people resist counseling in these situations, but if you can swing it, that would be optimal.

With that said, there are some people who feel much more comfortable and at peace living alone. (I think it’s probably premature to assume with all certainty that you husband fits in this category. Because there are others who like the idea of living alone, until they do it for an extended period of time, and then they realize it’s not as great as they thought. In fact, many come to realize that they are downright lonely. But you will often have to wait for this to happen. As tempting as it might be to try to convince him that he is mistaken or that it is not healthy for him to be such a loner, this isn’t likely to work. He’s obviously convinced that this is the way that he feels and the time and the circumstances are going to need to be right in order for him to begin to change his way of thinking.

With this said, none of these means that you do not have control over the circumstances. You do. You can continue to interact in positive ways and enjoy the time that you do spend together. I would suggest not pushing him or bringing up how difficult the entire situation is. Just enjoy the time that you have together, show him that being with you actually uplifts rather than drains him, and then have patience that he’s going to realize that being alone isn’t as wonderful as he thought.

Determining The Optimal Situation For Both Of You: Some married couples do spend a great deal of time alone and some even live separately part of the time. And that is fine as long as this arrangement works well for both people. When it doesn’t, then what is the harm in having patience and see if that is going to change? In truth, you are already living separately. So there is no harm in staying the course, trying to be patient and positive, and seeing if he will eventually change his mind. I’d also suggest using this time to work on yourself. I know that it’s a difficult thought. It was very hard for me to pursue my own solo life during my separation. But as soon as I forced myself to do so, my husband noticed a big difference in me and this actually helped my situation. And I believe this shift is what started the process of very slowly and gradually saving my marriage.

I’d strongly encourage you to seek support, whether that entails friends, family, a therapist, or whatever the case may be. You may need to just wait and see what is going to happen for a little while without needing to make drastic decisions. And working on yourself is beneficial no matter what is the outcome here. It’s positive that the husband is still reaching out. That is something on which you can build.

Emotional Cut-Off

A man refuses to speak to his sister for 15 years. The reason? At the time of their mother’s death, he was left alone to care for her as she died. Then, to add insult to injury, her sister questioned his family loyalty.

After years of criticism and rejection, a wife decides not to speak to her in-laws anymore, a decision that causes chronic problems in her marriage.

The child of a close-knit family moves across the country and only communicates with the family through greeting cards on holidays.

These are all examples of emotional cut-off, a process in which one or both parties in a relationship effectively terminate that relationship in response to uncomfortable feelings between them. It’s not uncommon within families.

To understand emotional cut-off it is necessary to understand the concept of emotional fusion. Fusion has to do with the degree of emotional reactivity that exists between people.

If our reactivity to each other is so powerful that I cannot define and hold my own position as a self in our relationship, I might feel I need to “cut-off” in order to feel functionally independent.

If my feelings in reaction to you are intense and unpleasant enough, I may “cut-off” from you rather than dealing with my own strong feelings. Once I am “cut-off” from you, I no longer feel I have to deal with our relationship. It relieves my anxiety.

The problem with emotional cut-off is that it is a short-term solution, which creates a long-term problem. People grow, emotionally, through working out relationship hassles. In the process, they achieve “differentiation,” the polar opposite of fusion.

First, I can tell the difference between me and you. I don’t have to react blindly to things you do or say. I am myself and don’t mind saying so. Second, I can differentiate my emotions from my reason. I can choose my responses rather than reacting automatically (blindly). This is maturity: differentiating self from other; differentiating emotion from reason.

Easier Car DVD Players Listings – A Cut Out and Keep FAQ

One of the rarest elements in e-commerce is trust.

Customers will need to have a great deal of trust to hand over money to some stranger they have never seen before in the vain hope of getting what they have paid for. The best way to lay their minds at rest is by giving them information or answering their questions in a way that shows that you know what you’re talking about.

If you are selling car DVD players on line we are here to help. We have provided a useful “cut-out and keep” FAQ file that you can paste onto any automotive DVD listing you may have.

Can the car DVD player fit in my car?

Whether or not this DVD player fits into your car depends on two things, the DIN size of the hole in your dashboard and the depth of your dashboard.

DIN is simply the German abbreviation for Deutsche Industrie Norm. It is the German Industry Standard for all automotive parts and many other mechanical and electrical components. The one that affects you is 1 DIN and 2 DIN and it describes the width and height of all automotive DVD players and car stereos.

If there is a larger squarish hole in your dash then you will have a 2 DIN hole, if it is long and narrow then it is a 1 DIN hole. Unless you want to do some remodeling work on your dash it might be a good idea to get the right size DIN.

However, the DIN just covers the height and the width of the car DVD. The ideal approach is to look through the car owner manual for the measurements of your car dash and then stack that up against the dimensions of the car DVD from this listing or from the manufacturer’s website. If it is too long then it might not be the best model to choose.

Is it hard to install a DVD player in my car?

Installing a car DVD player is not an easy thing to do, especially if you have not done anything like it before. It would probably be wise to ask a professional to do the installation instead of doing it yourself.

However, if you feel secure enough that you can do it yourself there are many websites that, along with the car DVD player instructions, will get you through the installation process. Make sure you read and understand all of the instructions before going ahead with the installation. Ensure you have given yourself enough time to get the job done.

Installing a DVD player in a car isn’t a job you can do overnight if you haven’t done it before.

How do I pair my Blue tooth phone with the car DVD player?

It is not difficult to pair car DVD players and blue tooth cell phones. There are two basic stages to the process.

* Getting the automotive DVD ready.

* Setting up the cell phone.

Setting up the car DVD for blue tooth is as easy as going into the blue tooth menu. You might need to press ‘pair’ on the car DVD when you are in the blue tooth screen.

You will need to find the Bluetooth menu on the phone to pair it. This may be on the main menu, but if it isn’t it will be in either a connectivity menu or a settings menu then connectivity.

Then you will need to take the following steps:

* Switch on the blue tooth function.

* Ensure that the phone is ‘visible’ to other blue tooth devices.

* Find any blue tooth devices within the range of the phone’s blue tooth function.

* Select the car DVD player. It may be called ‘car kit’.

* Enter your password (you will find this in the cell phone’s owner’s manual).

Now that you have pasted these answers onto your car DVD players listings your customers will be confident enough to buy car DVD players off you, continue to deal with you in future and tell their friends about your business.

How to Disable Short Cut in Excel!

Over the last few days I have been running basic and advanced Excel courses and one of the common questions that people are asking me is “What is a simple way to Disable a Short cut in Excel?” I have spent lots of time thinking about a non-programmatic way to do this and there is a very simply solution.

Write a macro …

Let us say for example you are writing a Microsoft Excel template that you need various users to enter data into, but you want to limit their ability to use the features of Cut, Copy and Paste. Okay, so let me start off by testing your memory… What is the shortcut keystrokes for Cut, Copy and Paste … I will put you out of your misery if you do not know, they are –

Cut – [Ctrl] + [X]

Copy – [Ctrl] + [C]

Paste – [Ctrl] + [V]

Now to override these basic shortcuts we simply use a macro to do so, keeping in mind that the macro will only disable the short cuts for that document, as long as you choose the right options. Let us go through the process to disable the short cut, Cut.

The first step is to open a new spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel, then go to the Tools menu and then choose Macro from the drop down menu, then select Record New Macro …

The Record Macro dialog box will be visible. In the Macro Name text box, type the text EliminateCut. Now not that I did not have a space between the word Eliminate and Cut. If you have a space, the Excel application will come up with an error because in Microsoft Excel you are NOT allowed to have spaces in macro names.

Second step click in the box that say shortcut key and type in the letter X. In the Store in Macro drop down box the option “This Workbook” should be selected. If it is not, make sure you select it from the drop down box or you will disable Cut for all future workbooks, which will not be a positive outcome. Finally press the OK button.

Word of warning … Do Not Click or do anything on the Worksheet. The Stop Recording toolbar should appear, simply click on the stop button which looks like a stop button on a CD Player and the macro recorder will stop.

Now if you put some text into a cell and deactivate the cell by pressing the [Enter] key, then go back and click on it once and try out your shortcut. What you will notice is that the cell is selected but if you click on another cell and try and paste the value by using [Ctrl] + [V] you will notice that the cell does not move and as such the short cut [Ctrl] + [X] is disabled.

I should note that there are some limitations to this technique. If you actually activate the cell and select the text in the cell itself and then try [Ctrl] + [X] you will find that the text will be cut, but if you use [Ctrl]+[X] on a normally selected cell you will notice [Ctrl] + [X] is disabled.

Bichon Grooming: The Lamb Cut

Bichon grooming is much more of an art than a science. A groomer has an artistic eye toward styling the dog’s coat and can take the dog’s body structure into consideration when making decisions. They then use this knowledge to create a cut that beautifully highlights the dog’s build. It is important to know this when learning to groom your bichon. In this article we will look at one basic style of bichon cuts, the Lamb Cut, and talk about specific tips and strategies to make your dog look great.

Before we get into styles and grooming tips, it should be noted that the bichon needs to be thoroughly washed and detangled before grooming. Bichons are notorious for having tangled, matted hair so please be sure to clean and brush the dog before attempting the cut.

Lamb Cut

In general there are three basic types of bichon cuts. They are the lamb cut, the modified puppy cut, and the fuller cut. Here we will look at the lamb cut, or “shave down.” This style is exactly what it sounds like: the body, legs and head are all cut short using electric clippers resulting in short hair all around. This style cut is preferred by those who have no plans to show their bichon in competitions, or during summer time. It is a convenient style because it is very low maintenance and quite easy to achieve. Benefits include far less matting and tangles, and a cooler dog in the warm months.

Lamb Cut Tips

The first decision you have to make is what size clippers to use, and this depends on how long the dog’s hair currently is. If it is quite long, it is not recommended to cut right down to the final length in one shot. Instead, use a longer clipper first and then re-cut with a shorter blade. The final length is up to you, but we recommend tapering down the length with smaller and smaller blade lengths until the desired length is reached.

Some people like to have the underside/belly of their dog trimmed a little closer than the rest of the body. Again, if this is the look you would like, it is recommended that you gradually taper down to the desired length.

Another approach that should be taken is to shave in the same direction as hair growth, which is generally from the head toward the tail. This is important for both safety and appearance. If you shave against the hair growth you risk catching skin in the blades and cutting your dog. Also, shaving with the hair direction will result in a much more even cut.

The head is the most difficult part to shave. This is especially true for the area around the eyes. To achieve the desired look, cut as close as you can to the eyes with the electric clippers and use scissors to finish. Remember that bichons are prone to watery eyes and eye infections if the hair around them is overgrown, so pay special attention

Finally, after your have finished shaving, you should re-wash your bichon. This will help remove loose hair to prevent them from being itchy, and is a great way to not only clean their hair but their skin as well.

Unless you have plans to enter your bichon in competitions or really love the look of a well groomed dog, this is the most recommended style of cut. It is an easy way for you to maintain a great look for your dog, and should take less than two hours once a month.

How To Choose The Right Cut Of The Diamond Ring

From all gemstones, diamonds are perhaps the most desired ones. ‘A girl’s best friends’, as they have been called, they have also come to symbolize strong, eternal love and this is the reason why diamond rings are offered by men the moment they become engaged to the woman of their life.

But as highly symbolic as diamond rings may be, their beauty is far from being complete if some essential details are overlooked when purchasing them. For example, one important element which we should be focusing on is the cut of the diamond which adorns the ring. Now, many people make the mistakes of believing that this is something which has to do with the shape of the diamond, but, in fact, they are two different things.

The shape is the form of a diamond and thus we can speak of pear, oval or heart shaped diamond, to name just a few. On the other hand, the cut refers to the reflective qualities of a diamond, as well as to its polish, proportioning and symmetry. All these elements have a great influence on the brilliance of a diamond and diamond cutters are well-aware of that.

Basically, the term ‘diamond cut’ designates the more or less perfect symmetry which characterizes the positioning of a diamond’s facets. As all these facets, taken together, can alter the shape and the looks of the gemstone, diamond cutters have to consider carefully the type of cut they choose. They choice should take into account aspects such as the shape and the size of the diamond crystal. And, as we have said before, polish and symmetry are also important elements in a cut as they can have a great impact on how smooth or how poorly or well aligned the facets are. Without a well-done polish, the luster of a diamond can look blurred, whereas a poor symmetry can result in a misdirection of the light coming in and out the diamond.

In what diamond cuts are concerned, we can speak of several different types in which they can be done, all developed in order to fully exploit the properties these beautiful gemstones have. The choice between one particular cut and another is determined by factors such as the form, in which the rough stone was initially shaped, the existence of any potential internal flaws and the place they are located, the concern for preserving the carat weight and the degree in which certain shapes are more or less popular amongst buyers.

Based on the style and arrangement of a diamond’s facets, diamond cut styles fall into three categories: brilliant, step and mixed. Each of these cuts can be easily distinguished from the others due to their particular features.

For instance, brilliant cut diamonds charm the viewer’s eyes with its facets in shapes of triangles and kites with their light radiating outwards. Among these, the round brilliant cut is probably the most sought after as round diamonds have as many as fifty-eight gorgeous facets reflecting the in and out light. Things change a little when we bring step cut diamonds into discussion. They can be described as being a type of diamond with sloping four-sided facets. Examples of step cuts are emerald ones with their usual rectangular shape or the old Asscher cut. Finally, mixed diamond cuts involve techniques borrowed from both brilliant and step cuts and are used quite often for colored gemstones.

As we can see, choosing a diamond ring is something more than just picking the size and color of the rock. As the beauty of it resides primarily in its brilliance, it is important to pay attention to the way in which it was cut. It may seem too much to be asked to an untrained eye, but we should not forget that we are not alone when deciding to buy jewelry. This is something we would usually do in a jewelry shop due to the multiple benefits they offer. Not only will we find here valuable advice from professionals, but also all the accessories we need.
