How to Ensure You Reach Your Daily Water Quota

Your body is made up of approximately 70 percent water. Therefore it is of no surprise that your body must be well hydrated in order to function properly.

Consuming the right amount of water will help to keep your energy levels up and boost your metabolic rate.

Drinking more water can also prevent overeating which will aid you in your weight loss efforts as well.

The standard recommendation for water consumption is eight 8-ounce glasses daily or 64 ounces. However, when you add exercise into your daily routine, it is important to consume more than the standard daily recommendation in order to replace the water you lose from sweating.

Another added bonus of drinking water and a personal favorite of women everywhere is the fact that it will reduce water retention, a.k.a bloating.

Here are three tips to ensure you reach your daily water quota.

Tip #1: Make it a Habit: If you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit. A good trick to form a water drinking habit is to grab a drink of water every time you finish going to the bathroom. That way every time you “empty” you are reminded to refill!

Tip #2: Add Lemon: Although there is nothing healthier for you than a tall glass of water, its taste is plain in nature. A little squeeze of fresh lemon can spruce it up and go a long way.

Tip #3: Always Have it Handy: Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink because by then it’s too late. Always having a bottle of water handy will prevent this occurrence from happening and keep you on target to reach your daily water quota.

Health & Success,
