Have a Fear of Commitment? Hypnosis Could Be the Answer

While it may be something that’s joked about in sitcoms and romantic comedies, a fear of commitment is a very serious problem. It can destroy good relationships, and it can prevent you from moving forward with your life.

A fear of commitment manifests itself in a variety of ways. You may be terrified of marriage, scared to say “I love you”, or even afraid to have a significant other altogether!

In many cases, people know that they have a fear of commitment. They may even be actively working on solving it.

However, that’s not enough.

Even if you consciously understand that you have a problem, your subconscious mind – where most of your thoughts and actions really come from – may have other ideas. Even if you consciously make an effort to commit to your significant other – or commit to the idea of merely looking for a significant other – you will have inner-turmoil because you will be getting interference from your subconscious.

So, how can fear of commitment hypnosis help you?

Hypnotherapy is not a “Band-Aid” like other treatment techniques are. Instead of just trying to relieve the symptoms, hypnotherapy attacks problems at their root – in the subconscious mind. Since hypnotherapy is the only type of therapy that allows you to tap into your subconscious, you can use it to figure out where your fear of commitment is coming from, so that you know how to deal with it.

In many cases, people develop a fear of commitment as a result of a trauma early in life – like parents who got divorced or a mother who was emotionally distant. If something like that has happened to you, your subconscious mind may have taken that past experience and blown it out of proportion.

Now, your subconscious believes that your current relationship is going to end in divorce like your parents, or that all women are emotionally distant like your mom was – and, thus, can’t be trusted with a commitment. No matter how many times you try to tell yourself that’s not the case, your subconscious mind doesn’t believe it, and, instead, actively prevents you from making a commitment.

Instead of working on coming to terms with your prior experiences – like you would in a psychologist’s office – fear of commitment hypnosis will help you move forward by re-programming your subconscious mind to believe that those past experiences have no bearing on your current relationship.

Fear of commitment hypnosis can teach your subconscious to approach your current relationship with a fresh approach, instead of dragging all of your emotional baggage into it. By teaching your subconscious to separate the past from the present, you can wind up with a happy, committed relationship in the near future!
