Generally speaking, tomatoes are 85 per cent water so they need to have water added frequently to remain healthy. Besides from being able to grow in a limited area some of the other advantages are: you do not need to stake the plants; there are no weeds; and it will prevent fungus and pests.
These upside down planters are also good for growing other vegetables and fruit such as cucumbers, beans, peppers, eggplants, and strawberries. Most of your crops that grow on a vine will work as long as the smaller variety is chosen. You can also plant herbs and radishes in the top section of the hanging planter.
