Seven Steps to Deliverance From Demon Spirits

Before we begin, ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of all sins and be your Savior. This is the first and most important step in the process of freedom from demonic spirits. Jesus Christ is the Deliverer, not any man or woman. People are just vessels that Jesus uses. God (not the minister) gets all glory for any freedom from evil spirits that a person receives.

After Salvation, the believer should repent of and renounce all personal and generational connection with evil spirits whether known or unknown. The word renounce just means to “declare your disconnection”. Repentence is “to be sorry for”things that we have done wrong knowingly or unknowingly. We repent and renounce our generational connection due to the fact that the Bible shows that generational lines can be affected by sin up to the tenth generation. The deliverance candidate should repent of and renounce the following (not limited to) list:

1. Occult bondage- This is demonic bondage that comes from the participation in occult practices such as: Astrology, Numerology, Divination/Fortune Telling, Kabala, Automatic Handwriting and Witchcraft.

2. Sins of the Fathers: To include anger, fornication, adultery, drunkenness, anti-christ, rebellion, rejection and others.

3. Repent of and renounce all unforgiveness in your heart: This is also a very important aspect of a complete and thorough deliverance. Our salvation as Christians hinges on “the forgiveness of God”. God expects us to forgive those that have wronged us. Just release them to God and receive your total freedom. If we don’t forgive others, how can we expect God to forgive us?

4. Deuteronomy 28 has a list of curses shown in verse 16 till the end of the chapter. These curses can be read out loud, repented of, broken and renounced in Jesus name. The procedure would include: accepting Jesus Christ as Lord, breaking the powers of occult bondage and sins of the fathers then coming over to Deuteronomy and reading the curses aloud. During this process a Christian can read each curse individually and break them or read them all and break, repent of and renounce them at the end of the reading.

5. Make sure that you are being completely honest with the minister that you have trusted to assist in your deliverance. The power that demons have increase when they are able to remain hidden. In addition, if you walk in agreement with them and do not expose and renounce them, their power will remain over you. Be completely honest with the minister that is assisting in your deliverance. Remember the demons and God already know what issues you have. However, I will make one fact perfectly clear. The demons’ knowledge is limited but God’s knowledge of you is unlimited.

6. Finally, the demons must be cast out. Always pray before you go to any deliverance minister. I encourage you not to go to a minister based on what your friends have told you or who you may think the popular minister is. Once you have entrusted your spirit with one minister, the worst thing that you can do is jump from minister to minister. This switching of ministers is compared to switching from one doctor to the next. If you have sincerely sought the Lord in prayer about the minister you have chosen for yourself or a loved one’s deliverance, allow the Lord to work through that minister. If you go from one minister to the next then each minister does not know where the previous minister left off.

7. Stay away from sin and whatever you were delivered from and be diligent in your study of the Word. Once delivered the only way to remain free is to stay close to the Lord, avoid sin and the things that you were delivered from and to study the Word of God. Stay in touch with the minister that assisted in your deliverance and advise them of any problems that you may encounter. Keep in mind that you may need more than one deliverance session in your quest for spiritual freedom.

God bless you and remember Jesus Christ is your Deliverer.

A Jack O’ Laterns’ Candle Flickers With Positive Spirit

A jack o’ lantern represents many beliefs throughout time and place. Carving and cleaning out a pumpkin brings gratification by using personal creative energies.

As individuals we have chosen many roles throughout our lives. Some roles chosen are positive and others not so much. While our faces have changed with age an individual crafted purpose is revised. We look and see what we want to see. An individuals prerogative can be viewing a jack o’ lantern as a demonic symbol along with the representation of Halloween.

History shows us the origin of the useful joyful meanings of Halloween. Halloween was started in European countries (Ireland and Scotland) to honor ancestors that were deceased. These ancestors were honored each year during harvest time by carving vegetables and placing lit coal or candles in them. These vegetables (turnips, potatoes and beets) became known as jack o’ lanterns named after a ghost. In the marches a roaming negative ghost named Stingy Jack was often seen. According to ancient folklore, Jacks’ soul was rejected from entering heaven or hell. Jack was known as a mean man when living and he made deals to trick the devil. Jacks’ pay back was the purgatory of being stuck between the worlds. At that time Jacks’ spirit was believed to roam the earth carrying a flickering light. Jacks’ ghost was never at rest. The aberration of the flickering light would always burn out upon approach of villagers.Villagers believed that ghosts were a negative entity, a persons’ soul should be at rest in heaven or hell. A lighted jack o’ lantern was then used to serve as a deterrent to keep away walking ghosts/spirits at night. These lanterns were lit and placed in the windows of their home for the protection they felt was needed from roaming spirits.Positive spirits of ancestors were welcomed.

Viewing a jack o’ lantern as a positive light source goes along with Christian beliefs. Halloween was known as “All Souls Day” – souls that are on hold waiting in purgatory. “Hallows Eve” also known as Halloween is when the supernatural and physical worlds are believed to converge allowing magical happenings. “Saints Day” known as Halloween acknowledges” Religions Saints” in Heaven.

The belief of where there is light there is no darkness pertains to the energies of good verses evil. The light found within the pumpkin (jack o’ lantern) represents a humans light found within that is ignited upon the acceptance and “Love of Christ”. The light flickers bright when humans realize their own self worth. The pumpkins’ light is a reminder to honor and respect those that have lived and died before us as part of Gods’ plan.

Sign of Pregnancy – Keep Your Spirits High

It's important to not let the sign of pregnancy or early sign of pregnancy bog you down. Keep yourself mentally and physically fit to bear up with all the changes. And a weekly pregnancy calendar can help reduce your anxiety a lot.

The moment you notice the first sign of pregnancy like nausea, breast tenderness or the like, you rush to get a medical test done. And when pregnancy is confirmed, you feel unmatched joy. However, in truth, joy is not the only feeling you experience. You are most likely to feel a wide range of emotions – elation, apprehension, anxiety and so on. As a matter of fact, some women may find coping with early signs of pregnancy or the early bodily changes difficult. Here are a few tips on keeping yourself in good temper and mood.

Share Your Joys And Anxieties

Don't confine yourself after noticing the signs of pregnancy. Rather, even if you are an introvert, try to discuss them with your partner, family members, and friends. Even when your pregnancy is confirmed, share your joy with all the people who are close to you. Speak about the coming days to them and discuss the likely changes and precautions to be taken. This will definitely ease your mind.

Try Meditation

Meditation is a wonderful stress buster. You are likely to need something like meditation because of the raging hormones inside you. Apart from other bodily changes, they also bring on mood swings and irritability. Therefore, try meditation during the very early days, when you first notice the early signs of pregnancy. If you are able to do it even for a limited time, go ahead and make it a routine throughout your pregnancy. It will most likely make those nine months extremely smooth for you. Get a good book on meditation for guidance or browse the net for more information.

Get Mild Exercise

Go for a walk every day. It would help you get some fresh air and cope with indigestion, heartburn, constipation, and hemorrhoids. Also, consult your obstetrician for a diet schedule. However, avoid walking too fast or taking heavy exercise. You can also give yoga a try during pregnancy. It can help you stay fit during your entire pregnancy as well as have an easy labor. Make sure you don't do it yourself. Get a good instructor for you instead.

Pregnancy Calendar

It's a pretty good idea to get a pregnancy calendar. It will keep you updated about the status of baby's growth and various pregnancy symptoms.

Don't Hesitate To Visit A Psychologist

In case you are unable to cope with the pregnancy related issues, it's best to visit a psychologist. It's no use to keep on struggling with what is proving to be too much for you to handle. Leave it to the experts. They will counsel and guide you to deal with it all.

Remember preparing yourself mentally for the pregnancy period should commence as early as possible. The moment you notice the first sign of pregnancy, you must put in all your efforts to have a hassle free pregnancy period.

Extraterrestrial Life – Is Swedenborg Credible?

Over three hundred years ago Emanuel Swedenborg had a desire to know about the inhabitants of other planets. Recently astronomy has discovered many other earths beyond our solar system. And so a widespread notion has now grown that intelligent extraterrestrial life probably does exist elsewhere in the vast universe.

Swedenborg said some spirits he met in the spiritual world had been born on other planets. These experiences took place in, what today, we would call an altered state of consciousness. He wrote that the extraterrestrial spirits are human people a bit like us.

We read that these spirits had come from the Moon and other planets in the solar system. He repeatedly refers to the physical facts of these planets, and infers that these spirits are from them. Yet since his time, science has discovered there is no life on the Moon and Mars. It finds no hard surface on Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. And so in disbelieving any reality behind this aspect of his inner experience, people may also wonder about the credibility of a spiritual world that he describes.

Imagination about extraterrestrial spirits

Some say that his psychic accounts are works of imagination and they scornfully dismiss all his findings about the spiritual world. Scientifically-minded people are right to want a rational understanding of any phenomenon. Swedenborg’s mission was to offer reasonable understanding of many deeper matters. However, when it comes to something like psychics and the gift of clairvoyance or the spirit world, the general scientific community steers clear of such matters. This despite the strong evidence for extra sensory perception.

In the case of Swedenborg’s extraordinary abilities, one example relates to the Stockholm fire of July 19th 1759. Swedenborg was able to describe this fire raging in that city when he was actually 300 miles away in Gottenburg. While he was with 15 other guests at dinner he even commented, with relief, that the fire had stopped short of his own house in Stockholm, which proved to be true.

Dishonest communication by extraterrestrial spirits

Other readers of Swedenborg wonder whether he was being purposely misled by those he met as to where they had come from. The criticism is not that he talked with spirits but that he naively believed them. I do think this unlikely. After all he was well aware of the deceit of those in a lower spiritual state. With the aid of the higher order spirits, he saw through misleading information and down right lies he was sometimes told.

Difficulty communicating planetary location

Another possibility that comes to mind is that the spirits were unable to communicate exactly the location of the planets they came from.

According to Swedenborg, neither the sun nor any planet in the physical plane of reality, is visible to any spirit conscious in the spiritual world. Swedenborg wrote that their understanding was limited by their mental picture of the solar system. This picture may have been vague. We don’t know if they retained any astronomical knowledge after death even if they had had any when physically alive. Swedenborg says that the art of printing is unique to our world which suggests published science may not have been part of their extraterrestrial life.

Not being aware of the findings of modern space exploration, Swedenborg would not have thought to look more closely into where the spirits thought they came from.

Looking for new natural facts

I believe we make a mistake in going to spiritual writings to learn factual information about what is on the natural plane of life. Swedenborg said countless times that we should think of things spiritually. He implied in his spiritual diary that he had only been given consent to mention details concerning planets because they gratify and attract the curious so they might be led to recognise deeper matters.

The whole point of mentioning the extraterrestrials was not to further knowledge about specific planetary life. Instead it was to support the general point that the universe was designed as a seedbed for the huge variety of heavenly life.

Van Dusen and extraterrestrial life

The clinical psychologist Wilson Van Dusen points to another deeper lesson in reading about extraterrestrial spirits. He said spirits from each planet symbolises a type of person that we each could become and the potential spiritual error that goes with it.

Swedenborg writes that spirits from Mercury preoccupy their minds with gaining and retaining knowledge about abstract matters. They turn away from the material and earthly, to what is real for them – abstract facts. So they like to wander far in search of these. There is a richness in knowledge rather than wisdom in how best to put ideas into use. Consequently, they are poor at making sound judgment. Having so much knowledge they tend towards being proud about what they know, suspecting they know it all and are superior to others. When proud and not orientated to applying their knowledge, they are inclined to be emotionally not involved with others.

The general meaning of moon spirits seems to be a life of a great show of faith.

Swedenborg has written about the moon – unlike other named planets – extensively in various of his books. He says it signifies faith which gives some limited light to the mind when the illuminating warmth of love is absent.

There are some of us who do not think about putting our beliefs into practice. We are too busy loudly pronouncing them. Others can simply see through such nonsense. No wonder then that the moon spirits ‘thundered like a multitude’ and simple spirits laughed at this.

The moon spirits had long faces but bodies like dwarfs. In other words they have a sombre impressive aspect yet they don’t amount to much.

Conclusion

No one can establish Swedenborg’s authority for others. Rather his credibility is something that develops over time for the individual. This may or may not develop as the reader ponders and reflects on the rationality of what Swedenborg writes.

Plant Spirit Shamanism – Hoodoo Plant Magic

The hoodoo tradition of the American South is another that works with plant energy while often not requiring a patient to ‘take’ a medicine to experience healing.

The word ‘hoodoo’ has African origins, and is used to describe various forms of magic, folk healing, and ‘hexing’, using roots and herbs. Nowadays, the hoodoo practitioner is often referred to as ‘root doctor’ or ‘juju man’. These quaint terms belie the power of the tradition, however, because in Africa, these practitioners were priests (botonons) and sorcerers (azondoto), who were rightly feared and respected for their herbal expertise and knowledge of the spirits and bochio, or soul.

When these priests arrived in America as slaves, they brought their knowledge with them, but the unavailability of some plants meant they had to adopt Native American and even European plant allies and practices in their work. Within modern hoodoo, we therefore see the fusion of many plant magic strands.

One of the best-known forms of this magic is the ‘mojo bag’ – a bundle of plants and consecrated items made to bring luck and protection or to ward off negativity. These are not so different to the offerenda packages, created by Andean shamans as a call to spirits who direct their healing energies towards the person who makes the offering. The word mojo comes from the West African mojuba (“prayer”) – a method of directing spiritual energies to similar effect.

To look at, a mojo is a flannel bag containing magical items, which is usually carried on the person, tucked away out of sight, and often worn next to the skin. If the mojo is intended to protect a property rather than a person, it may also be hidden near the front door. In either case, it is important that no-one sees or touches the bag apart from the person who owns it, or its magic may be lost.

The contents of the bag vary according to its purpose, but typically there are at least three magical objects, whether roots, leaves, feathers, crystals, stones, snake vertebrae, lodestones, metal charms, or papers on which sigils have been drawn or wishes written. Sometimes there are more than three, in combinations that always add up to an odd number.

The reason odd numbers are used differs according to who you ask, but a popular idea is that the universe operates on odd numbers in order to ‘keep things moving’. Three, for example, wants to ‘tumble into’ four, whereas four is ‘solid’ and fixed rather than flowing. To ‘get energy moving’ to the benefit of a client, therefore, or to undo a run of bad luck which seems ‘never-ending’, an odd number is used to signal to the universe that now it is time for a change.

The Jungian psychoanalyst, Marie-Louise Von Franz, also discusses this in her book, The Interpretation of Fairy Tales. Quoting Jung, she remarks that: “three is generally connected with the flow of movement… for movement you need two poles and the exchange of energy between them – for instance, the positive and negative electric pole and the current which equalizes the tension”.

For financial success, for example, an old mojo trick is to wrap High John the Conqueror root in a dollar bill and add frankincense and a little sugar, then tie them all in a green bag. Here, five elements are used: the root, the dollar bill, the frankincense, the sugar, and the bag itself. The symbolism behind these items works in accordance with the plant spirit principle that like attracts like. High John is used to ‘conquer’ money problems; the higher the denomination, the more money will be drawn to the magician or his client. The bag is green because this is the colour of money (‘greenbacks’), and sugar ‘sweetens the pot’.

For a peaceful home, angelica root, olive leaves, rosebuds, lavender flowers, lemon balm and basil leaves are tied into a blue bag (for harmony) along with a few intertwined hairs from all family members. Again we see the doctrine of signatures at play in the choice of angelica (‘angel root’) and balm for spiritual harmony and the leaves of an olive branch for peace.

One more unusual mojo trick is for invisibility. This requires poppy seeds and dried fern leaves to be ground together “beneath a dark moon”. To this are added myrrh, marjoram, slippery elm, and fresh dill, mixed with spring water and almond oil. When it is dry, the mixture can be added to a mojo bag or sprinkled over objects to conceal them from others. The magic in a spell like this, as curandera Doris Rivera Lenz says of her own work, may be to give a client the self-belief that she will not attract attention to herself, so she can navigate her difficulties with more self-confidence, ‘knowing’ that she is unseen. The change, in other words, is to the client and not the external world.

Once it is prepared, a mojo bag is purified in incense and its spirit ‘fed’ with rum or whisky and with Florida Water. Body fluids may also be used, especially if the charm is to influence another. To make a person fall in love with you, for example, it is useful to have a little of her sweat, urine, or saliva to dab onto the bag (other personal items – the closer to her DNA as possible, such as hair or nail clippings – may also be added to the bag itself).

A mojo bag can also be used for divining (as we understand it in the West) by attaching it to a string and using it like a pendulum. By asking the spirit of the charm to show you ‘yes’ (often by spinning clockwise) and ‘no’ (often by rocking backwards and forwards), you have a spiritual device for answers to simple questions.

For more complex questions (for example, ‘How do I make the man I desire fall in love with me?’) it is better to write out the letters of the alphabet and let the pendulum spell out the answer by gravitating to each in turn.

Warfare Prayers to Dissolve Ovarian Cysts (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)

Ovarian Cyst is one of the causes of pelvic discomfort, pain, inflammation, infertility, menstrual irregularity, and abnormal hair growth in women in their reproductive period. Polycystic ovary disease can be caused by hormonal imbalance (estrogen excess over progesterone) and can in turn cause the disruption of female hormone while secreting excess androgen which responsible for the hairsuitism.

When the cyst is broken open, it is sometimes filled with serosanguinous fluid, teeth, hairs and pasty substances. Some ovarian cysts has revealed the face of spirits behind the growth during ultra sound scans.

Your doctor does not know or can explain the cause of this since this is beyond his domain, training and experience. This is the basis of these prayers to shrink the cysts-naturally and supernaturally. We dissolve it naturally by the use of proteolytic enzymes like nattokinase and serrapeptase. Spiritually we tackle this issue by praying aggressive warfare prayers which is the focus of this discourse.

I offer these prayers by the Holy Ghost, in the name of my deliverer and great physician, Jesus Christ.

Elementals (Nature Spirits) – Make Friends and Work With Them and They Will Help You Too!

The joy of many elementals (nature spirits) as we befriend and help them, is to serve us in many different ways – from practical matters to seemingly miraculous events. As long as the requests are heart-centered and in keeping with the higher will of Spirit / God, they will assist us – even in financial matters. The key to establishing a working relationship with the elementals is love – the giving of love and sending forth the power of peace from the heart. In many ways, elementals are like children and they respond to love and encouragement. Giving regularly to the nature spirits will build trust. Also important – especially in more intense situations – is commanding them from the level of your Higher Self. It may take a little practice, but eventually you will find the nature spirits assisting you in many ways.

There are many wonderful stories of assistance from the elementals in books and on the Internet – ranging from the protection of plants and gardens all the way up to the dissipation and turning back of hurricanes and protection from raging fires! Many involve healing – as all elemental life knows how to heal.

Personal Stories

I have been calling on the elementals for assistance for many years and whereas I have not been personally involved with anything as dramatic as turning back a hurricane (!), Some of the incidents are very special to me. I wanted to share a few of them here:

I always ask the elementals before going on a trip to provide perfect weather and I cannot recall a single time in all the times I have asked, where they has not happened. One time before going to Hawaii, it had been raining for days without stopping – over 2 feet of rain! I made my usual calls and as we were getting out from the airport, the rain stopped and the weather was beautiful for the 10 days we were there. It rained another 20+ inches starting the day after we left!

Another incident involved a backpack trip on Mt. Shasta. I had been directed to a certain area and the map showed a stream there. However, after hiking most of the day and finally coming to the area just before it was getting dark, we found the stream was dry. I made a call to the elementals and within a very short time the water in the stream started flowing. It picked up more the next day and for the entire week the stream ran. On the morning we departed, the water stopped running again.

Last year, I remarried and we planned on getting married outside in the mountains. The weather had been cold and rainy for days. I asked the elementals for assistance in clearing the weather and for the sun to come out. Shortly after arriving at our destination (we were getting married within the hour), the weather broke, the sun came out, the winds died down and we had a lovely ceremony. Right afterwards, the rain started again but then cleared up for the rest of our stay.

For me, this last incident was the most dramatic one. I had been living in Hawaii on the Big Island for several months and the island was experiencing a drought which was getting worse. I have always been in tuned with plant life and could feel the affects of the drought on the plants. Farmers were starting to fear losing their crops and it was really turning into a bad situation. Where I was staying there was a large stream and huge waterfall and that had almost run completely dry. Finally one day I woke up early and made the strongest call to the elementals I ever had. I called for their help in getting the stream (many used it for irrigation) to start running again. I then fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up about an hour later, I heard a huge roar outside and got up to find the stream and waterfall flowing at full capacity! It was truly awesome – I am so grateful for the elementals!

Ghosts and Spirits – Why Are People Scared of Them?

You hear weird noises outside and faint voices inside your home, sound of ankle bells nearby, the doors squeak, dogs howl. It frightens you, makes your hair stand up. Why? You feel that maybe a ghoul is prowling by near your home. Are ghosts and ghouls for real or are they just glorified imaginations of mankind? Why do people freak out due to tree creaks and howling dogs?

Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, etc can be perceived by different people in different ways depending on how they find those entities depicted to them through mediums like movies, novels, TV Shows, etc. A person doesn’t acquire knowledge about the world, it’s different entities and how to perceive them at birth. It is how they come across in front of his eyes that makes him react to them accordingly. For example, if a person grew up watching cartoon shows where zombies are portrayed in a goofy lite, they would laugh at the thought of ghosts and zombies. On the other hand, someone who has become familiar to the concept of ghosts and spirits through horror movies like Ju-On, Shutter, The Exorcist etc would develop the common emotion, fear, towards such entities.

Hearing superstitious beliefs like dog howling at night is an indicator of evil ghosts and death can play tricks on anyone’s mind when you hear those howls at midnight. Then again, dogs’ howling is a scientific fact as well. Dogs are descendants of the wolves and hence are pack animals needing the company of one another, unlike maybe cats. They howl when they feel lonely to communicate with the other dogs in the neighborhood and sort of say “hi”, “hello good morning”, etc. I can’t hit the “sure” button on whether the beliefs are wrong or right. Maybe they do see ghosts walking and smirking at them, maybe they don’t. If only we knew for sure whether ghosts exist or don’t exist.

It’s frightening for many to think of being in a dark place with speculated activity or even without speculated activity of the spirits. When you question them why, they aren’t sure why they get scared! Why aren’t they sure? It’s quite natural to be perplexed when the effectiveness of your eyes have been reduced and don’t know what’s gonna happen. It is mainly due to the fact i mentioned above, ie, the depiction of the dark being a trademark signature for a haunted place. In a nutshell, fear of the unknown. If you, me or even the biggest skeptics were asked to be locked inside a supposedly haunted dark room for a whole night to prove whether spirits exist in there or not, i think we would hesitate a lot to take such an unpredictable task. Then who? The only ones who i truly trust to do that would be toddlers! They aren’t mentally developed to register what is supposed to make them scared, make them cry or make them angry while the developed ones like us know what will make us afraid, excited or sad. We can perceive fear as it is.

Research and ghost hunting in the paranormal field to decipher the existence of ghosts and other mystical creatures hasn’t reached any conclusion whatsoever. Hence we fear them since we haven’t really seen them and aren’t sure of their existence. It has only lead to reality ghost hunting shows like Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, etc with most of them coming across as fake. In these shows, most of the evidences of so-called “manifestation” is based on some light flashes or blobs of light hovering around which come across as fake and without a concrete proof. They avoid backing it up with an explanation or real proof by quoting “it is unexplained”! One show that actually caught my attention is Ghost Hunters for their usage of certain devices which gets lit up based on the theory that ghosts radiate EMF(Electromotive Force). But when these hunters were asked why do ghosts emit EMF and how their device works, yet again the wave of uncertainty radiates out of them and no clear answer to that question. There are many mixed reactions on the “ghosts emit EMF” theory from experts.

So i would like to conclude my article by asking a simple question: Since there hasn’t been any reliable findings on spirits and whether they are friendly or not, should we assume their nature and be scared of them?

How to Get Rid of Noisy Spirits With Feng Shui

For those who are bothered by ‘things going bump in the night’, otherwise known as noisy spirits, there are multiple ways to deal with such things. While the Catholic Church is noted to be the only organized religion that has specific exorcism rites, many other traditions have less dramatic means of dealing with unwanted spirits.

The first thing one needs to do is determine what kind of spirit one is dealing with: ghost, thought construct, Demon/Djinn, ET or inter-dimensional. Each has a different means of control and some you just don’t mess with alone. For the purpose of this article we will discuss a less confrontational method of dealing with unwanted entities using feng shui. The main precaution is to realize that if the activity gets more intense after the cures are placed, one may be dealing with something other than the garden variety ghost and may require the services of the appropriate tradition.

Ghosts can either be active or passive (a magnetic recording). When tragedy happens, such as a murder or terrible accident, there is an imprint left upon the area. Some areas hold those magnetic imprints better than others due to the natural substances in the ground, ley lines or particular geometric shapes. The event plays out the same, over and over; castles in England are notorious for this sort of haunting. The other type of ghost is active-a restless spirit who is earth-bound and either unwilling or unable to leave the area. The inability to leave can be due to unfinished business, anger, or love. Some ghosts are stuck because they are afraid of the White Light that would transport them to another phase. They fear Judgment, thanks to the idiotic, fear-based teachings of some organized religions.

For the ghosts who are afraid to leave, a gentle assistance and calling in of their loved ones from the White Light may be all that is needed. An easy task, it can be accomplished quickly by a loving prayer of intercession; a request for assistance from the White Light. For the magnetic imprint kind, the house and person or pet needs to be cleared and the imprint erased, which requires a little more effort and knowledge. In some traditions, an ancestors’ altar is used, with objects the ancestor used in life, including booze and cigarettes if those were their habits. Fresh food and flowers are placed on the altar and they are remembered and spoken to; this usually quiets those family spirits that are hanging around.

To keep the home quiet from other spirits, incense or sage smoke is first used, with one window or door open. One would call in their other-worldly helpers, such as Jesus Christ, Krishna, Wakantanka, Archangel Michael, etc. Archangel Gabriel (in the Christian tradition) is called in to open his portal and take the spirits to where they belong-away from the home and people there. The smoke is thoroughly spread throughout each room and coaxed into every corner, closet and drawer, all the way to the end of the home and out the open door or window. Sweet incense is then used, such as Sweetgrass or Temple Incense. Then a 5-element pagoda ringing bell, gong, or singing bowl is used, to change the area to a higher vibratory level. One would then dedicate the home to the Light and demand that it remain clear of any interfering spirits. One would ring the bell, gong or bowl every week on a particular day or more often to keep the area clear.

The idea is to keep the home ‘sweet’ and clear of anger and other negative emotions. Negative spirits are drawn to negative emotions, so keeping oneself clear of such negativity is most important; meditation helps with this. There are then other feng shui objects that work as guardians to help keep the people protected (see “Protecting Home and People with Feng Shui”).

Essential Bath Oil For Buoyant Spirits

In art and literature, imitation numbers first among the seven deadly sins for a creator. No self-respecting painter or writer would succumb to the pervasive, persistent temptation of imitation just to borrow a few images or words. In the basic business of bath essences, however, until you have sophisticated your nose to rival a bloodhound's and elevated your mixing skills to the status of art, a little healthy imitation goes a long way toward assuring just the right balance and proportion in your aromatherapy sprays, shower gels, massage oils, and shampoos. Think of yourself as an apprentice following your master's example.

If you look for essential bath oil recipes "academically," doing lots of research in the libraries and on the internet, you will find thousands of promising recipes for calming, soothing, rejuvenating, nourishing, restoring, reinventing, and generally reincarnating yourself. All of them promise great results; and while an excellent start, a book or website cannot begin to capture how those bath essences will work on your delicate sensibilities. Peppermint, for example, guarantees a refreshing, energizing daytime soak; but if you cannot stand even the idea of smelling like a candy cane all afternoon, then you have researched in vain.

Veteran do-it-yourself naturopaths strongly recommend conducting your research at the mall. You already know "Bath and Body Works" and "Sephora" stock mountains of simple fruity and floral products. In most recipes, just a couple of an essential bath oil will suffice, because just one or two notes do all the work. To discern which fragrances have which effects on you, sample a few of their products, and then pick-out yours accordingly. Similarly, visit the fragrance counters in the upscale retailers, spraying perfumes and colognes on the cards they provide, and then testing your favorites against your own body chemistry. When you find a mix you like, study the bottle or box, deconstructing the list of ingredients. Isolate the essential oils on the list, and take the list with you when you shop for bath essences. Your nose has assured you like the mix; your aromatherapy retailer can supply products and expertise to make your favorite at home.

Fragrance Follows Function

Mixing your own essences for aromatherapeutic baths, match your mixes to your needs. Use one carefully proportioned and measured mix of bath essences for relaxing and calming; change-up the essential bath oil mix just a little to relieve nervousness. If you suffer with insomnia or restlessness, bath just before bedtime, and mix your bath essences to lull you gently into deep sleep and very sweet dreams. Use an energizing mix of bath essences in your morning shower gel and shampoo, so that you jump start your body and brain for your busy day. And, finally, during summertime flip-flop and strappy sandal season, pay extra loving attention to tired, sore feet, keeping them healthy and beautiful. Mix bath essences that will soften and wash away even your toughest calluses as they relax aching muscles from your toes through your arches and all the way up your calves and thighs.

Most popular bath recipes combine just three or four essential oils-usually one top note, one middle, and one base. The very simplest calming and soothing bath requires just one liberal dose of lavender or chamomile bath essence. A slightly more potent calming formula requires just equal measures of lavender, bergamot, and cedarwood. An empowering soak, appropriate for the transition from a long day's professionalism into a long evening's "working the room," requires only equal proportions of rosemary, lemon, and frankincense; what, after all, communicates power and competence more than the faintest hint of a little frankincense? Plagued by insomnia, mix your bath essences for maximum relaxation: measure equal proportions of chamomile, marjoram, neroli, and lavender into your before-bed soak.
