How to Get Rid of Noisy Spirits With Feng Shui

For those who are bothered by ‘things going bump in the night’, otherwise known as noisy spirits, there are multiple ways to deal with such things. While the Catholic Church is noted to be the only organized religion that has specific exorcism rites, many other traditions have less dramatic means of dealing with unwanted spirits.

The first thing one needs to do is determine what kind of spirit one is dealing with: ghost, thought construct, Demon/Djinn, ET or inter-dimensional. Each has a different means of control and some you just don’t mess with alone. For the purpose of this article we will discuss a less confrontational method of dealing with unwanted entities using feng shui. The main precaution is to realize that if the activity gets more intense after the cures are placed, one may be dealing with something other than the garden variety ghost and may require the services of the appropriate tradition.

Ghosts can either be active or passive (a magnetic recording). When tragedy happens, such as a murder or terrible accident, there is an imprint left upon the area. Some areas hold those magnetic imprints better than others due to the natural substances in the ground, ley lines or particular geometric shapes. The event plays out the same, over and over; castles in England are notorious for this sort of haunting. The other type of ghost is active-a restless spirit who is earth-bound and either unwilling or unable to leave the area. The inability to leave can be due to unfinished business, anger, or love. Some ghosts are stuck because they are afraid of the White Light that would transport them to another phase. They fear Judgment, thanks to the idiotic, fear-based teachings of some organized religions.

For the ghosts who are afraid to leave, a gentle assistance and calling in of their loved ones from the White Light may be all that is needed. An easy task, it can be accomplished quickly by a loving prayer of intercession; a request for assistance from the White Light. For the magnetic imprint kind, the house and person or pet needs to be cleared and the imprint erased, which requires a little more effort and knowledge. In some traditions, an ancestors’ altar is used, with objects the ancestor used in life, including booze and cigarettes if those were their habits. Fresh food and flowers are placed on the altar and they are remembered and spoken to; this usually quiets those family spirits that are hanging around.

To keep the home quiet from other spirits, incense or sage smoke is first used, with one window or door open. One would call in their other-worldly helpers, such as Jesus Christ, Krishna, Wakantanka, Archangel Michael, etc. Archangel Gabriel (in the Christian tradition) is called in to open his portal and take the spirits to where they belong-away from the home and people there. The smoke is thoroughly spread throughout each room and coaxed into every corner, closet and drawer, all the way to the end of the home and out the open door or window. Sweet incense is then used, such as Sweetgrass or Temple Incense. Then a 5-element pagoda ringing bell, gong, or singing bowl is used, to change the area to a higher vibratory level. One would then dedicate the home to the Light and demand that it remain clear of any interfering spirits. One would ring the bell, gong or bowl every week on a particular day or more often to keep the area clear.

The idea is to keep the home ‘sweet’ and clear of anger and other negative emotions. Negative spirits are drawn to negative emotions, so keeping oneself clear of such negativity is most important; meditation helps with this. There are then other feng shui objects that work as guardians to help keep the people protected (see “Protecting Home and People with Feng Shui”).
