Sylphs are viewed as mythological creatures in much of Western tradition. According to the Middle Age beliefs of the Rosicrucians and Cabalists, sylphs are the elemental spirits of air, so named from the Greek silphe, meaning a butterfly or moth. The name and concept was popularized by Paracelsus, a Swiss physician, astrologer and philosopher who lived from 1493-1541. He is also credited with numerous medical texts and books of occult literature.

They are considered to be one of the four types of nature spirits: gnomes (earth element), sylphs (air element), undines (water element) and fiery salamanders (fire element). In many legends, sylphs are thought to create artistic renderings in the sky by transforming clouds into recognizable shapes. Sylphs are also said to be responsible for wind and certain types of storms and weather patterns.

According to some folklore tradition, they have a very broad wingspan and live in the high mountains of the earth. They are purported to be regal in manner and bearing. Most traditions view sylphs as immortal, non-physical beings. In modern times, the term “sylph” has also come to mean a lithe, graceful woman.

Some sources associated the sylphs with angels, including a possible connection between young sylphs and small cherubs. Angel overlords or devas are said to be in charge of the activities of sylphs. Others believe that sylphs function as messengers for both angels and other elementals.

Sylphs, along with other nature spirits, are guardians of the earth. The hierarchs of the sylphs are Aries and Thor. Sylphs are particularly involved in clearing the air of pollution and other chemical hazards. Sylphs play an important role in the spiritual world and in the maintenance of balance and purity for the physical platform of the earth for mankind’s evolution.

The main reason why we Northern European Nordic / Germanic peoples have lost a high place in this politically correct world is because we have lost much of our spirituality. We not only have lost our connections to the Runes which are powerful keys to the Universal Creative energies, but we have also lost contact with the Nature Spirits who protect our folk.

We have become too civilized and taken the path of materialism and thus forsaking nature. We have become too Christian and allowed our Nature Spirits to be demoted.

43 But when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through dry [arid places] in search of rest, but it does not find any.

The writer Matthew expresses how unclean spirits leave out of a man. He doesn’t mention whether they were cast out or just left on their own for transference purposes. When they left they roamed around awhile. Where did they roam? Dry, arid, waterless or (lifeless) places, that’s where.

What are Dry Places?

The Dictionary/Thesaurus defines dry as waterless, devoid, deficient in moisture, arid, barren, and UN garnished.

Because these two verses and reference definitions were unclear to me, I asked the Lord to give me understanding. Often hearing other believers binding, casting out demons and sending them to the Dry Places I wondered, “What are these places?”

He began teaching me that Dry Places are temporally dwelling places for demon spirits. A Dry Place is any molecular, lifeless (non-breathing) non-living, temporary instrument, object, substance that demons can travel through to get to a permanent host body.

A Solid, liquid or gas can be a Dry Place. Water is wet in the natural sense but a Dry Place in the spiritual sense because it falls under the above description. See Leviticus 11:36, 38 about water becoming unclean.

They are also paper, fabric, wood, metal, cement, plastic, food, and more. Leviticus 11:31-32

These are unclean to you among all that creep; whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until evening. 32 An whatever they may fall when they are dead, whether it is an article of wood or clothing or skin (bottle) or sack,

These are vehicles that Satan and his imps use to get to a host body, human/ or animal. It doesn’t matter whether it is a religious item with markings or symbols. Neither if it’s a pair of white or blue socks thrown in the bottom of the closet. The enemy doesn’t care he just needs a vehicle to get to a body!

Let’s discuss some of these Dry Places.

People handle money including people that are contaminated with spirit issues. Through these items, spirits are circulated around the world.

Old used fabrics, sheets, blankets curtains, shoes, and clothing **See Leviticus 15 verses 5-8.

Of my early years being a Christian, the Lord dealt with me about taking clothing from different people. Being a victim of poverty we were very limited with funds to buy new clothes. Family, friends and, church members donated much of what was owned. The old apartment was constantly flooded with bags of used clothing and shoes. Not to seem ungrateful, some of these items were like new, beside from being very nice. In addition to the clothing and the clutter along came the spirits the former owners were struggling with. God told me to “throw them out!”

Why? Spiritual depression had entered into my home through the clothing along with suicide, poverty, fear confusion etc. Satan for many years had used this as a channel to contaminate my home.

Spirits love to attach to clutter especially clothing because of the ability to hide there. Take note washing the clothing will not alone remove spirits they must be blessed and prayed over.

Most people don't believe in ghosts, but they are among us. At least that's what people have thought since the beginning of time. Long before written word ghosts stories have been passed along. Members of societies believing in spirits claimed to have seen the spirits of their dead ancestors. Many ancient seers would call upon spirits or the dead to foretell the future. It wasn't until the first century AD that these ghostly tales & legends were written done.
Two thousand years later, people still believe in ghosts. Too many people are reporting seeing specters and ghostly phenomena for us to ignore the possibility that something must be out there! But, what is everyone hearing, seeing, or experiencing?

Before I go any further, I want to clarify a few things, make sure we are all on the same page. Not everyone means the same thing when they say the word ghost. There are many simple yet misunderstood words that are specific to the study of ghostly phenomena.

The majority of people use the word "ghost" to mean any phantom object. What they really mean is a spirit of a being that has passed on. In my posts when I refer to a "ghosts" I am referring to the latter. I bet some of you are wondering what the difference is? Most reports of ghostly phenomena throughout the centuries, have been of things that were never human. People have reported seeing spectral animals or phantom trains. These objects were never human, and the obviously never had a soul or spirit.

Paranormals researchers use the word "apparition" to describe a visual appearance of a disembodied entity. This describes all types of phantoms, whether they are human or not. An example of a apparition would be seeing an angel beside your bed, you wouldn't call it a ghost, right? I know most of you would never make this distinction when talking to your friends on the street but, investigators feel that's its best to stick with the word apparition unless of course you actually mean a ghost. An easy way to look at it is all ghosts are apparitions but not all apparitions are ghosts.

There are many different kinds of apparitions. Did you know that some keep to a schedule? There are some that are only seen once. An example of this would be the case of a luminous ghost of a boy that appeared in Corby Castle in Cumberland, England, one night only, September 8, 1824. Some appear at a certain date or time. Yet others will appear on the anniversary of a certain date. Phantom hitchhikers are know to appear on the anniversary of their death. Then of course their are the ones that take up residence at a place that they were someone connected to when they were alive. These ghosts are seen more frequently.

The person who sees the apparition is called the percipient and the apparition is called the agent. Agent is used especially when you refer to an apparition that intentionally makes itself disable. It wants to be seen, usually because it has a message to give.

Modern science will not admit spirits exist; Even so, it agrees that there are some things it cannot explain, at least not at this time. However true this may be, one cannot say spirits do not exist with absolute certainty. We know that thought exists; yet it has no shape, size, or weight. Is it any different for different for spirit or soul? With that said, can a common ground for the word spirit or soul be realized?

For those of you who are religious history buffs, it can be said with certainty, most religions acknowledge the existence of a spirit-filled world. A very brief examination of world religious ritual will reveal some interesting similarities. A short list would include the use of candles, incense, some form of music, monotonous, repetitive chanting. Notice the subdued lighting in churches, synagogues, temples, mosques and the play of color through stained glass windows. Were not many of the rituals associated with the religion representational of magical acts?

Spirit is over used as are such words as absolutely, exactly pretty, and fantastic. In current society, we talk about school spirit, team spirit, spirit of place, holy spirit, and get into the spirit of things. Here, spirit shall have two meanings. First, those entities which exist outside of normal reality- supernatural, and second, it will be used to reference that essence constituting all life forms, that is, an animating or vital principle held to give life to physical organisms.

Soul is the incorporeal essence of humans or of all living things. This simply means the soul is without the nature of a body or substance. Interesting enough, most cultures believe in an incorporeal realm that exists and this is particularly true of the shaman. When soulness is recognized in all objects that belief system is called animism, that is, all objects (stones, trees, plants, rivers, mountains) contain some form a life-principle.

For the shaman of old as well those existing in this modern world, the belief that all things are contain a living entity is sacrosanct. Because they hold to the belief that all things are alive and are imbued with a spirit, the shaman insists upon a respect for all aspects of both the natural world and the world of the spirits.

A great many people firmly believe in the idea of ​​"Guardian Spirit". They are convinced that in times of extreme danger, a powerful, spiritual force is always close at hand to guard and protect them. Detailed accounts have been written by these people of incidents that occurred when they were completely alone in an isolated area and faced with dangerous situations.

According to these reports, they were conscious of a strange sensation that they were not alone but an "unseen presence" was close by. This mysterious, spiritual force inspired them with confidence and gave them a warm, comforting feeling no harm would come to them. As widespread as this acceptance of the existence of "Guardian Spirits" appears to be, there are certainly as many, practical-minded, pragmatic individuals, who completely reject the idea

They regard it as an example of a superstitious belief held by people with strong imaginations; an illusion conjured up in their minds to relieve their anxiety and counteract their feelings of stress.

Although it is difficult to reconcile these two conflicting points of view, it may be possible to find a common meeting ground, by examining what the term "Guardian Spirit" means to different people. There are many who think of a "Guardian Spirit" in very narrow, easily definable terms. To them a "Guardian Spirit" represents a mysterious, "unseen", supernatural force, always close at hand, that provides them with a warm, comforting feeling whenever they feel threatened.

Others however, interpret the term "Guardian Sprit" in a more rational, less mysterious, more understandable fashion. They see it as powerful, intuitive feelings; similar to an "inner voice", or a certain "gut feeling". The Psychoanalyst Theodore Reik referred to these intuitive feelings as "listening with the third ear". According to him, these are special intuitive powers everyone possesses, but in most instances they remain unused and dormant. He suggested these special powers could be developed and nurtured.

Have there been occasions, in your life, when an important decision you were called upon to make was not based on logic or rational analysis, but on a certain "gut feeling ''? Is it perhaps possible this" inner voice "you listen to when critical decisions have to be made, may be your own personal "Guardian Spirit"?

The argument whether "Guardian Spirits" exist or not will never be resolved to everyone's satisfaction but perhaps this may be a reasonable explanation for some aspects of the "Guardian Spirit" idea. On the other hand, perhaps Shakespeare placed the problem in the right perspective with the profound observation expressed by Hamlet "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

At times we know that our finances our fine, but we have that small feeling that grows larger over time that we simply cannot settle for just being alright with our money.

We have to be great – exceptional – and because we already know that we can manage our money well, we need to push further and into the next level … whatever that means for us.

Everyone's next stage is different and we have to keep in mind that others' paths when it comes to career stuff, business and money in general can be pretty unique but just none of our business in a way.

That's why we have to stay in our lane and just concentrate on the stuff that makes sense to us – but that's not what most people try to do, and they tend try to copy others and it almost always ends up being a little messy because their situation isn't theirs and they can't copy them like they hope they could.

You have to embrace wiser and smarter finances that make sense to you – not something that only made sense for someone else's situation, and that's how people mess themselves up following advice and copying other people's situations in hopes that their own circumstances change for the better – and that's just not how it works.

If you have ever followed someone else's advice and it literally didn't work for you because their situation wasn't like your situation – you know what I'm talking about.

The vague advice that we try to follow from friends and loved ones that ends up going no where – that is the stuff we need to set aside and just throw in the trash, because that is the direction we end up when we try to follow stuff that doesn't apply to us.

This is why we have to allow the spirits to guide us in a way that perfectly makes sense to us – that guidance can bring us to the next level and is completely suited to our situation, and no one else's.

It's like they read your situation and know exactly how to help you resolve everything and make it better – except that in our case we have nothing to fix but everything to enhance.

That is the way to avoid the bullshit advice pitfalls from others – they might talk all day about something that supposedly worked (who knows if it actually works for them) – but you need guidance that honestly and sincerely works for your situation without question, and that is why spirit guidance is so important.
