What Are The Secret Practice Steps of Speed Reading?

1. Warm up exercise for Soft-Focusing:

a) First use your left-hand, and then your right hand, to make six-inch wide Air-(imaginary), Infinity-Symbols – in space. Time spent: sixty-seconds.

b) Now close your eyes and mentally-visualize producing a narrow Infinity- Symbol descending down a lined-page. Time spent: sixty-seconds.

c) Be aware of your Eye-Movement Patterns going left-to-right, and right-to-

left in your Field-of-Vision.

d) Take your RasterMaster or Pen and practice going down a page, the width of a sentence, using the Z for Zorro strategy. Time spent: sixty-seconds.

A soft-focus consists of three-elements:

One, focus your eyes on the upper-half of the letters of the words in each sentence. It is easier on your retina and increases your reading speed up to 35%.

Second, peer Indirectly at the words of the sentences, as if your eyes are binoculars; snailers focus on one-word-at-a-time, as if their eyes are reading sentences through a microscope.

Third, mentally divide (separate), each sentence into three clauses of about three-words each. Now use your RasterMaster or Pen to underline each sentence into three parcels of about three-words each. Continue practicing

Triple-Chunking the sentences for two-pages.

A Hard Focus

To really understand Soft-Focus is to compare it to a Hard-Focus. When we are reading one-word-at-a-time, watching TV, playing a Video Games, and using our Word-Processor, we engage our narrow-vision called Hard-Focus.

It is also called Tunnel-Vision, like a horse with blinders, used to eliminate what is lateral left and lateral right. When communicating we narrow-focus on the eyes of the other party to the conversation.

Hard-focus is seeing in a narrow spectrum, while Soft-Focus is relaxing the muscles of our eyes, and those of our face, neck and shoulders. Remember that snailing uses a Hard-Focus, and speed reading requires a Soft-Focus.

Underling With Your Pacer:Practicing your Pacer strategies changes how your brain functions in reading.

Reprogramming your brain (through daily practice), causes the structures of comprehension to enlarge from one-word wide, to up to six-words in width. It permits you to permanently triple your reading speed.

a) Your Pacer undermines the snailing strategies of regressions, losing your place on the page and rereading sentences up to ten-times per page.

b) It reduces subvocalization (mentally hearing each word), as you read up to 66%; improve memory about 50%.

c) The Pacer causes your eyes to chunk (group), words of the sentences, instead of focusing on one-word-at-a-time. Speed is improved up to 33% by chunking with a Soft-Focus, when we consistently use Peripheral-Vision.

d) Vestibulo-Ocular-Reflex (Fresh Pursuit Tracking), is moving your eyes-and-head to obtain the sharpest, most acute vision.

e) It helps your eye to focus on the upper-half of the letters of the words, using a soft-focus.

f) Do not be concerned with following the laser-trace or the underlining movements of the Pen or Cursor because the eye-follows-a-moving-object. It goes on auto-pilot with peripheral-vision.

g) It is instinctual (hardwired), for our eyes to be Motion-Detectors, and causes our reading to speed-up. Your eyes play the game of catch-up with the trace-marks of your RasterMaster, Pen, and Cursor.

Key Point: Your moving-hand automatically manipulates the Pacer to move at about 2.5 times fast then your normal (random eye-movements).

h) Practice Pacing twice-as-fast as you can mentally-echo the words on the page. At 650 words per minute, subvocalization is not silenced, but is reduced by up to 66% because you can speak no more than maximum of 200 words per minute.

Endwords

Some students believe that these warm-up exercises are a waste-of-time.

First, they are required for only 21 days, after that your eye-movement-patterns enter auto-pilot as habits.

Second, please remember that you have programmed yourself into snailing by daily reinforcement; you use only about six-degrees of your one-hundred-and-twenty degrees of available field-of-vision.

Snailing use six-degrees to read one-word-at-a-time, while Speed Reading employes up to thirty-six degrees, about six-words in each chunk. If you choose to have the competitive-edge over your peers, and live in the Fast-Lane in your career, we recommend owning the skill of reading three books, articles and reports in the time others can hardly complete one.

With use, you will find your comfort-zone with one-strategy of speed reading. Remember, speed reading uses all of your left-brain reading skills we call snailing, in addition to your right-brain speed reading strategies. It is not a question of ignoring horizontal, lineal reading, it is combined with vertical, visual techniques called speed reading.

Practice is your secret weapon – use-it-or-lose-it. Each time you triple-chunk a sentence you are create an engram (memory-trace), that excites your speed reading neuropathways. After 21 days, you create a long-term habit, and speed reading becomes your norm, and snailing is out-dated.

You do not become a speed reader by thinking about it or just mastering the scientific and technical details. It is not an intellectual exercise, anymore than you can learn to drive a car by reading a book.

How do you get to Speed Reading nirvana? Practice, more practice, and then the Aha moment of personal insight has done it for 2 million others.

Speed Card Game

Do you know how to play the speed card game? This card game, often just called “speed”, is counted among the best 2 person card games that almost anyone can play. It’s one of those quick easy card games that is easy to learn and tons of fun. Here are some simple rules to get your speed completion started now.

Setting Up The Play

Deal both players five cards to form their hand. Then deal 15 cards to each player, these cannot be looked at yet, set them aside as the draw pile for each player. If you want to use jokers make the draw pile 16 for each player. Make two five card stacks in the center of the table. The final two cards are set face down between the replacement piles.

How The Game Is Played

The players start the game by flipping over the two cards in the middle of the table. The goal is to play a card from your hand that is either higher or lower regardless of the suit. If, for example, one of the cards is a “9”, you can play an “8” or a “10” on it. The ace can be played on a king or two making it a continuous loop of options. There are no “turns” so as soon as those cards are flipped over players begin playing their cards in order. When you lay down a card you pick up another one from your draw pile so you always have five cards in your hand. If neither player can play, each player at the same time flips over a card from the two stacks in the center and the game resumes. The player who depletes their draw pile and runs out of cards first is the winner. If you are using jokers they are wild and you can play any card on top of a joker.

Variations of the Game

Because the game is learned through friends or family members, speed card game rules vary. It is not uncommon to encounter rules that only exist for a certain family or set of players. One such variation is the four card game, which makes it easier for players to hold a hand but is also difficult because there are fewer options to choose from. Another is “doubles”. Aside from being able to lay down a “4” or a “6” if the card is a “5”, a player can also match it with another “5”. Using jokers allows a player to choose whatever he or she wants it to be. Often, jokers are not used as one’s first option but rather as a last recourse when one has run out of cards to play on hand or as a winning card.

Versions of “Speed”

The Speed card game is one of those two player card games that become addictive. People create their own versions of it but some of the more popular are the “three and four way speed”, California Speed, Spit and Strategy. The three and four way speed is played with three and four persons respectively. California Speed is also known as Super-Speed in Wisconsin, Speed 2 in Texas, Rush in Missouri, and Speed 3 in Kentucky. Though the Spit card game follows the same basic Speed card game instructions, it is known as a more challenging and longer version of the game. Strategy refers more to the arrangement of cards at the start of the play. The game after all is called “Speed”, which takes into consideration how fast you can lay your cards down. There are card tricks that you can use to help you win a game of strategy. For example a hand with one “2”, two “3s” and two “4s” should be arranged 2, 3, 4, 3, 4 in that order instead of 2, 3, 3, 4, 4. You still have to lay one card at a time, but this will increase your chances of winning at the Speed card game.

Speed Reading Tips: Mastering the Mindset for Speed Reading Success

Speed reading success requires you to understand and embrace certain qualities of your mind if you are to succeed. Due to the radically different approach and necessary new behaviors, an unprepared learner can easily give up. Rather than to succumb to this premature emotional reaction, speed reading success demands that we appreciate the natural reaction of our mind to new and different ways of behaving, and do something about it.

Our human mind has a strong tendency to resist most change, especially if it requires any additional conscious effort. Conscious effort requires extra energy that our unconscious mind wants to avoid.

How this plays out for someone newly learning to speed read goes something like this: We begin by being excited about the possibility of achieving our outcome of easily reading at multiple times our usual speed. We begin learning a few techniques. The techniques are radically different than the many years of reading experience we have had. We get frustrated. We may even try the exercises again, but have difficulty still. Then our mind concludes, “I can’t do this.” Alternatively, we might think, “This doesn’t work.”

There might be other internal negative self-talk experiences. The point is that we are yielding to that part of our mind that is change resistant. So we stop our practice.

Ultimately, nothing changes.

Don’t let this happen to you. Know that disciplining your mind’s reaction to the change process can turn around the outcome for you.

Marvin Minsky, in his book “Society of Mind,” talks about the “anti-joy of learning.” He states that, “in the early stages of acquiring any really new skill, a person must adopt at least a partly anti-pleasure attitude.” For example, when initially frustrated and less than successful you might say to yourself, “Good this is a chance to experience awkwardness and new kinds of mistakes!”

Think about that last sentence. Do you like experiencing awkwardness and mistakes? Most people try to avoid that. However, champion learners embrace the mistakes and awkwardness because they know it is the path to eventual mastery. Some parts of the mind find it horrible while other parts enjoy forcing those first parts to work for them. Anyone who has achieved significant growth knows and appreciates this anti-joy. Any worthwhile skill usually requires this mental mindset.

What about you? Can you embrace the anti-joy of the learning process in order to master speed reading? Without it you will not succeed and will most likely be buried with the information you need to digest for your future success.

Speed Reading Strategies: The 3 Biggest Time Sucking Mistakes

Mistake #1 – Reading word for word – This first inefficient old reading habit usually comes from childhood, when the child is following the text carefully with his finger, word after word.

You have to know that while reading, the movement of the eye is not continuous and rectilinear along the text lines. It is a false belief. In reality, the eye moves along the text line by successive jumps, because the eye can only see when it is motionless.

Thus, reading word for word forces the eye to have a big quantity of fixation points per line, as many as the number of words per line. For example, if a line contains 16 words, the eye will stop and fix each word, and will do 16 fixations.

What to do instead – Make as few fixations points per text line as possible. This way, instead of seeing only one word at a time you will see several (but this shouldn’t affect your reading comprehension). A slow reader perceives 1 or 2 words per fixation point, a medium reader 3 to 4 words, and a fast reader 5 and more.

Mistake #2 – Vocalization and sub-vocalization – Vocalization is another habit that comes from the childhood, when children are learning to read and pronounce the words aloud.

Many readers have kept this bad habit, or have transformed it into sub-vocalization (when you pronounce words mentally but no more aloud). Vocalization and sub-vocalization consistently reduce the reading speed because pronouncing a word is approximately four times longer than just reading it.

What to do instead – To know if you sub-vocalize, place a paper between your lips and read the following sentence:

“In the Christian Tradition, there’s a particularly applicable rural brewery on the Marlboro reservoir.”

If the paper has moved, then it means you are sub-vocalizing. So, correct as soon as possible this bad habit by supervising you while you are reading.

Mistake #3 – Frequent verifications – This habit consists to skip back over the text to reread a word, name or sentence in order to verify and make sure that you understood correctly.

The main reason is anxiety and fear to misunderstand something. It is often due to a lack of self-confidence (unconscious).

No matter the reason, note that regressions are in 90% of cases useless and are one of the major obstacles to fast reading.

What to do instead – If you are in this case, the simple fact of being aware of it could help you to suppress this bad habit. So, regain self-confidence in your reading comprehension ability. You will see that you will still understand everything even if you don’t make any regression. Naturally, it is normal to make some verification when the text is difficult to understand, but it should remain exceptional.

Following these simple steps will definitely put you on the good way to become a successful speed reader.

Characteristics of Speed Reading – What to Look For in a Speed Reading Class

It is useful to know the characteristics of speed reading before embarking on any speed reading course.

We always like to know what we are getting ourselves into, especially if it is something we know little about. There are basic characteristics of speed reading that need to be practiced to be able to speed read. How these are learned may vary, as courses can be taken through a personal instructor or bought as computer software. Some individuals have even mastered the techniques on their own. Others can speed read without even having a clue as to how they do it!

Scanning, skimming and glancing are methods used by many speed readers. Skimming and glancing helps us to preview the chapter before reading it to determine, in general, what the writing is about, what the main idea is and how the ideas are written. This initial preview usually takes about 30 – 60 seconds depending on the length of the section of work you wish to study. Quickly skim over the work, taking note of the chapter’s title, headings, subheadings and bold or italic print. Take note of any illustrations, graphs or charts. To understand a little more of the information in the paragraphs, quickly glance at the first and last paragraphs as well as the first sentence of each paragraph.

Scanning will be the characteristic of speed reading where you will very quickly read each paragraph. Taking note of the important key words in the sentences. What is a keyword? If one were to take out the key words the sentence would make no sense. Therefore, the other words that make up the sentence are unimportant – only ‘filler’ words.

Most importantly, an efficient reader will not read every word separately. He will read large groups of words or paragraphs simultaneously. This is done by increasing our natural peripheral visual ability when reading. When you look at a picture, you don’t focus on only a tiny section, you see the whole image. Speed readers have learned to apply this tactic to their reading.

The elimination of back-skipping and sub-vocalization habits are also important characteristics of speed reading. Back-skipping is the bad habit of many readers, without them realizing it, of re-reading the same word or sentence once, twice or even more times. This drastically slows down the speed of reading.

Sub-vocalization is also a habit done by the majority of us without us even realizing that there is anything wrong with it. Perhaps not wrong, but definitely not helpful in speed reading. Sub-vocalization is the reading of words out loud in our heads. The problem with this is that it allows us to read only as fast as what we can think, and not as fast as our brains can process information. Which is faster than you ever imagined.

Efficient speed readers adjust their rate according to the difficulty of the text. Higher speeds can be maintained for easier reads, while slower speeds will be necessary for difficult or more technical writings. Of course, high speeds are not very applicable to fictional reading or poetry, but practicing with the characteristics of speed reading whenever you can is important.

All the characteristics of speed reading have excellent benefits for the reader. Even if only one of these tactics were achieved, your reading speed would improve significantly.

High Speed Golf Carts: Choosing Your Options

Electric Low Speed Vehicles (LSV’s) are becoming tremendously popular these days for a number of reasons. They are quiet, fun and relatively comfortable to drive, but more importantly, they do not use fossil fuel. New LSV’s like the GEM and others can be very expensive though and not a practical purchase for those who would only use them occasionally or on weekends. Welcome the “lease turn in”, out of warrantee, golf course Fleet Vehicles (golf carts) to the rescue. Three year old Club Car, EZ-Go and others show up by the thousands at auctions across the US every year. Some end up in neighborhood classified ads or used car lots after a quick cosmetic makeover. Many of them make their way to “chop shops” where they are stripped of their original golf paraphernalia, jacked up, fitted with showy wheels, carbon fiber dashboards, plush upholstery and satellite radios. They have paint themes ranging from your favorite adult beverage to your alma mater’s team and such. A $1400 golf cart is magically transformed into a $6,000 “pride ride” for some lucky consumer.

The one thing under the fabulous makeover these vehicles usually have in common is the old batteries and components. The other thing is; they typically are set up to operate at really slow speeds (12 mph or so). You guys that have rented golf carts at your local course know why they do that. To operate on public roads and be categorized as a LSV, many municipalities require the vehicle to go 20 mph, and must be equipped with lights, seat belts and a horn. The lights and belts are pretty easy to deal with but getting your cart to go 20 mph is another story. Even if you are not trying to make it street legal, most users want the extra speed capability just to add more usefulness and enjoyment. 12 mph is just too painfully slow for most users. If you think that 12 mph is fast enough, give it a few weeks.

OK, so you are ready to do whatever it takes to make that baby fly. Well maybe 20 mph isn’t exactly flying but it will sure feel like you were if you get dumped out at that speed. Safety belts are a good idea at any speed. The first thing to determine is how fast you really want to go and how are you going to use the vehicle? Is the terrain flat or hilly? Will you be hauling cargo of any substantial weight (No, I don’t mean your mother-in-law)? For hills and/or heavy loads, you will need to also increase the torque of the cart. This means a more powerful motor and probably an upgraded motor controller to handle the extra current demands of the motor. There are several vendors that can supply such upgrades, but they can get expensive. Be sure to do your homework and shop around. If you have just a standard cart and use it on basically flat ground, you have a few more options:

Taller Tires – Increasing the diameter of the drive tires increases the distance they will roll for each revolution of the axle, thus increasing the speed your cart will go. You first need to know how fast you can go with the standard 18.5 inch tall tires. Most portable GPS units can be used as a speedometer to find that. If you don’t want to crunch the math, there are several free online calculators to help you determine how much speed you will gain with the new taller tires. A very good one is located the Digital Overdrive Systems website. Although increasing the tire size will increase you speed, the torque will suffer somewhat. That means you may have to leave your mother-in-law home! Tire size is also limited by the wheel opening. Most large tires require the cart be “lifted” which may not always be desirable and can be costly. The speed gain is relatively small (a couple of mph increase)

High Speed Gear Set – In the differential housing or rear axle, resides a gear reduction system. The motor has a small gear that drives the axle’s larger gear. Typically the motor rotates about 12 times for every one revolution of the axle. This is how the relatively low-power motor gains a mechanical advantage to propel the cart. Like the gears on a bicycle, it is easier to pedal when the drive sprocket is on the small diameter one. To go faster, you need to advance to the larger drive sprocket. The bike goes faster, but it is harder to pedal. In a golf cart speed gear set, the ratio is similarly changed by increasing the drive gear diameter, and the cart runs faster. Like the bicycle though, the motor has to provide more force “torque” to the axle. This type of modification is great for speed but will sacrifice low-speed torque (your mother-in-law again) and is not recommended for hilly areas. Installation can be messy due to the gear lubricant and requires some skill and know how.

Increase Motor RPM – Increasing the Revolutions per Minute or RPM’s of the motor is one of the most popular techniques for increasing a golf cart’s speed. This type of modification does not sacrifice low-end torque like the two previously mentioned ones. Golf cart electric motors are designed to operate at a certain maximum RPM (typically around 3600 RPM) at either 36 volts or 48 volts and provide a good balance between speed and torque of the end product. Aftermarket motors have their field and armature windings redesigned such that they achieve greater RPM than the stock ones. If the motor spins at twice the original RPM, a 12 mph cart could reach as much as 24 mph. The motors are safe and reliable but can require the addition of a high current Controller to operate at full potential. Aftermarket “speed motors” are available from a number of vendors but can be rather expensive due to all the copper wire in the windings. There is one vendor that provides a really simple and easy upgrade for Club Car IQ carts called a SpeedyLink, which increases the RPM of the stock motor by about 50% without any additional modifications.

Whichever method you use to increase the speed of you golf cart, be sure to use good judgment and utilize proper safety equipment. Carting can be fun and functional for everyone and has many applications. Be safe enjoying your fast golf cart. Watch for more articles about golf cart upgrades and maintenance.

What Is Tactical Speed In Horse Racing And How To Handicap It

When the triple crown races and other classic races come around each year the subject of tactical speed and how to use it to handicap horse races usually comes up. Some people are confused about what tactical speed actually is while others deny its value. Tactical speed, in my opinion, does exist and is very important for several reasons.

Tactical speed is the ability of a horse to get itself close to the front runners early in a race and to maintain a comfortable position to be able to strike for the lead when the opportunity presents itself. The opportunity is usually when the front runners are starting to tire. Having tactical speed allows a horse to avoid trouble because it is near the front and is less likely to be blocked or have to be taken up.

Tactical speed shouldn’t be confused with early speed, though tactical speed horses do have some early speed ability. The difference is that a horse with tactical speed doesn’t have to be on the lead and can also change pace and speed later in the race when the other early speedsters are tiring. Horses like “Big Brown,” for instance, have tactical speed. The fact that his dam is out of “Nureyev,” a sire known for producing horses who can go classic distances, is an indicator that he would likely have tactical speed.

When I am handicapping and looking for tactical speed I look at the horse’s position in its last few races to see if it was within 5 lengths of the leader at the early calls and how much speed it exhibited late in the race. Now here is the key. A horse with good tactical speed not only passes the front runners who are tiring, but also keeps pace with or surpasses the horses who come from well off the pace. For instance, if a horse runs within 5 lengths of the front runners, takes the lead at the top of the stretch, or gains the lead in the stretch run, despite a late charge from another contender who comes from off the pace, I consider that a horse with good tactical speed.

How To Use Set Goals To Achieve Speed Reading Skills

For everything in life to be successful, there must be a form of set goals in place to checkmate the progress to reach that goal eventually. This is a fact that is applicable in all aspects our lives. Speed reading is no exception. However, setting goals for the achievement of your speed reading will also require that you use action plan to make it a success.

When you set goals, it makes it possible for anyone to reach a target that ordinarily might not be reached. You will need to be very positive each time you set your goals. Use affirmations to confirm to yourself that you actually mean what you decide to reach your goal. Affirmations help you to reinforce your goals in mind and also give you a push to carry out your plan to reach your goal. When you affirm, it means telling yourself: “I must achieve my goal of speed reading”

In carrying out your action plans to achieve your speed reading, you want to include all details, techniques, strategies, methods, and information to this effect. In that case you will need a progress chart which will help you draw outlines that will keep record of your progress. Such records should include details like; reviewing, surveying, preview, recite, records, and so on. These are speed reading techniques that you will include in your plan to achieve your speed reading aim.

When you set your goals, make sure that you are realistic by setting accomplishable steps that will help you along the way. If you set goals that you can not fulfil, you will be frustrated along the line and possibly give up before you learn speed reading. Now, let us check out some of the things you need to do if you are to use plans to accomplish speed reading.

First step:

Go to an undisturbed zone and seriously think why you need to learn speed reading. What impact will it have on you, your career, and your private life. Is it going to be beneficial? Finding out good reasons will help you to be very focused and motivated to apply techniques that will help you.

Second step:

Use techniques that will help you to speed read to accomplish your reading skills. Such techniques as discussed above and try speed reading with them. You will make it easy for yourself if you pick up a topic in an area that you are interested in.

Be focused and read through. Now you will need to preview first before the actual reading. Get a stop watch and start. Once you are through, check your comprehension level and the time it took you to complete the material. Repeat it again and time yourself again. When you are through, try to draw a progress chart that you will use to check your performance as you progress. You will notice that as you complete each step that it becomes easier for you. Now, go ahead and try out my recommendations and see how well you fare.

How Speed Reading Techniques Have Developed Over Time

Speed reading has its birth rooted in the development of the tachistoscope, an instrument designed for flashing images onto a screen in rapid pulses. Early tests conducted using images of planes showed the ability of the human eye to recognize am image flashed for only one five hundredth of a second. The US air force then trained pilots to recognize a sequence of four words flashed on a screen for the same short duration of time. Realizing that this had implications for developing speed reading techniques, Harvard Business School began their own research program.

The basis of all speed reading techniques initially is to dispense with sub vocalization. This is the silent pronunciation of words made by a reader when reading to him or herself. Ordinarily, sub vocalization slows the reading process down considerably, so to dispense with it is the first step in all speed reading techniques. The drawback with the tachistoscope was that speed reading ability diminished significantly when the images were not projected by the machine. Harvard Business School’s research in the 1940s, centered on training the readers to widen their field of visual focus. This research was all carried out using machinery, with the inevitable result that when the machine was taken out of the equation, reading speeds again dropped.

Many years later during the 1950s, a school teacher named Evelyn Wood was carrying out her own research. The story goes that whilst brushing some crumbs off the page of her book, she noticed that the sweeping movement of her hand somehow focused her eyes, helping them to move more smoothly across the page following her hand. It was Miss Wood who first coined the phrase “speed reading”. Modern day speed reading techniques major on widening “eye sweep”. This means the duration between blinks when the eye is open. The more visual information that can be taken in between blinks, the faster your reading ability can become. Eventually, in one sweep, you take in not just words, but groups of words and then whole sentences.

Today the two main speed reading techniques are based on RSVP and TSP. The essence of Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) is that you concentrate on text only within the center of your vision. With Tachistoscopic Scroll Presentation (TSP) the technique majors on widening your eye sweep and scanning, or scrolling to take in as much information as possible in that one sweep.

High Speed Satellite Internet Access for Rural America

Do you feel the need for high speed Internet access and simply can’t get it? Not every home has access to DSL or Cable broadband Internet access services. In fact over 30 million people still can’t receive high speed Internet access. The costs of setting up DSL or cable access throughout the country, to each home, are in the billions of dollars. There are many promises that DSL or cable is coming, but when. Unfortunately it all boils down to economics, too few subscribers with too many miles. To many, satellite Internet access offers the solution. Satellite Internet service allows virtually everyone, anywhere to have access to lightning-fast broadband Internet access. There are two types of satellite Internet service, “one way” and “two way” systems.

With two way satellite systems the satellite dish sends and receives information over the Internet and delivers it your computer. The real benefit of a two way system is that you’re able to receive high speed access without tying up your phone line. Two way satellite service also give you an always on system. Download speeds can be as high as 1.5mpbs with upload speed about 128kbps.

One way satellite Internet access utilizes a dial up connection for upload page requests and offers similar download speeds of 256kbps to 1.5mbps. One way satellite Internet access is more reliable and economical than two-way satellite Internet services. It’s faster and more reliable because one way satellite Internet doesn’t experience the same time-out delays caused by “two-way” approach of uploading requests to the satellite. Satellites are really designed to broadcast and not receive information from small transmitters. One way satellite service takes advantage of satellite’s strengths by using it for downloading of information only. As you know, when you’re using a dial-up Internet service, your waiting time is based on downloading the information over your telephone line. The use of satellite Internet to download eliminates the problem.

If you are uploading tremendous amounts of information then a two way satellite system may be right for you. On the other hand, for average to moderate Internet surfers, one way satellite Internet access offers high speed that is reliable and much more affordable than two way access. Because of the simplicity and reliability, one way satellite Internet access is not regulated by the FCC. This gives the flexibility of choice of professional or self installation.

Put an end to your slow Internet access. Satellite Internet access may very well be the answer that you were looking for.
