5 Easy Ways to Detox Your Body This Spring

Discussions about the efficacy of cleansing have gone back and forth, but truthfully, cleansing practices have been around forever, both for health and spiritual reasons.

Since I always like to put things in perspective and simplify, I’ll give you my humble opinion on the matter: If you eat mostly clean, non-processed food, work out a sweat three or more times a week, don’t smoke, drink very little, don’t often get nasal congestion, don’t have bags under your eyes, have healthy bowel movements at least once a day and, more than anything, feel good and energized – without depending on caffeine and/or sugar that is, – then you might not need to detoxify your body. But if your lifestyle is less than ideal, and you feel constantly tired, then chances are, you will benefit from cleansing.

There are many reasons to cleanse, but the one reason I hope will motivate you is this: you will feel better afterwards, and if you find the way that works best for your body, you’ll feel MUCH better.

Here are five simple cleansing ideas for you to try:

1. The ‘No-Boxed-Food’ cleanse: For three days or longer, eat only non or minimally processed foods. That includes any fruit or vegetable, whole grains – but no bread, pasta, or crackers; beans, nuts, any fresh meat – but no cold cuts – whole eggs, and minimally processed dairy.

Avoid any food that comes in a box (or a bag) that lists more than three ingredients on the label and any ingredient you know is not real food. Liquids would include water, herbal tea and non-pasteurized fruit and/or veggie juices. Do this for three weeks and you’ll be well on your way to a life-changing healthy habit.

2. The brown rice and veggie cleanse: This is a macrobiotic take on cleansing. For three days or longer eat only brown rice and vegetables – raw or cooked. Miso soup two times a day will complement this cleanse nicely. Macrobiotic philosophy emphasizes the importance of chewing thoroughly in any regimen.

3. Liquid cleanse: This cleanse requires more planning and commitment than the two above and is difficult to do on your own. If you are hypoglycemic or need to take medication with food every day, this might not be your best option.

Have only non-pasteurized, fresh fruit smoothies, green smoothies, vegetable juices, vegetable broth, and water for two or three days.

4. Water cleanse: Give your digestive system a little break by having only pure water for a day. As with the liquid cleanse, don’t do this if you are hypoglycemic or take medication with food every day. This cleanse doesn’t require a lot of preparation, but it might bring only minimal improvement if you jump right back to your unhealthy habits.

5. An elimination diet: This is a nice way to tie together all of the above. I recommend doing it over a period of a month or longer.

The first week, you eliminate processed foods, caffeine, and sugar, and in the second week, you gradually eliminate meat, dairy, eggs, grains, beans, and nuts. For a couple of days, you would eat only raw fruit and veggies, and if you feel good and would like to step it up a notch, have a day of fresh smoothies and veggie juice, followed by a day of water, and another day of smoothies and veggie juice.

From then on you should start gradually adding foods back into your diet over the next two weeks or so. It’s called reverse elimination. And, in case you’re wondering, you don’t need to go back to processed foods, caffeine, or sugar.

5 Helpful Tips to Detox From Sugar

The not-so-sweet truth is that the massive intake of sugar in this country is one of the main factors of chronic disease. Just like drug addiction, sugar causes a food addiction in some people, making it very difficult to stop. Addictive drugs cause neurochemical changes in the brain, such as changes in dopamine and opioid receptor binding, which reinforce addictive behaviors. Similarly, sugar has been shown to stimulate the brain’s reward centers through the neurotransmitter dopamine. Consuming too much processed sugar has been linked to heart disease, cancer, dementia, obesity, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, depression, and even acne, infertility and impotence. If you want to reset your body and detox from the harmful effects of sugar, follow the guidelines below.

1. Remove all processed foods from your home

The easiest way to detox from sugar is to quit cold turkey. To prevent reading food labels for hours and hours, eliminate anything that is packaged, canned, frozen (with a few exceptions, like frozen organic berries) or pre-cooked from your kitchen. There are a variety of names for many of the common forms of sugar. It can take forever to sift through foods by reading labels, so just commit to eating fresh, whole foods and nothing else. Ideally, for 10 days you should avoid any foods that come in a box, package or a can or that have a label, and stick to real, whole, fresh food. Furthermore, the best way to fully detox is to give up all grains for 10 days as well.

2. Stick to water

Any form of liquid sugar is worse than solid food with sugar because it enters your bloodstream faster. Imagine the sugar directly entering your liver and turning off the fat storage mechanism within your liver, which in turn leads to the production of belly fat. Sugary beverages like soda and sports drink don’t satiate the body. Further, the energy they provide only lasts for a short period of time. While detoxing, be sure to avoid fruit juices, soda, sports drinks, and sweetened teas and coffees. Instead, drink plenty of water because thirst can often cause sugar cravings. To function properly, your liver needs water and glucose to produce glycogen. When your body is dehydrated, it is much harder to produce glycogen, thus causing a sugar craving to kick in.

3. Get adequate sleep

Sleep is a time for the body to rejuvenate and rebuild. Getting less sleep initiates sugar and carb cravings by affecting your appetite hormones. Lack of sufficient amount of sleep affects your energy throughout the day. To compensate for the lack of energy, people tend to consume artificial sugars and overly caffeinated drinks that contain high levels of sugar. Getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night is the best way to fight against the impulse to overeat or fuel your body with excess sugar.

4. Start your day off with a protein-rich meal

Upon waking, your body may crave sweets due to the low carb levels and high insulin levels that result from fasting overnight. In order to fight this craving, it’s important to fuel your body with plenty of protein and high-quality fats. Nutrient-dense breakfast keeps the body feeling full for an extended period of time and provides the nutrients it needs to function at optimal capacity. Tomorrow morning instead of donuts or a pastry enjoy whole farm eggs with an avocado and berries.

Be prepared with your own healthy snacks

When you are on the go, you don’t want to be caught in an emergency situation, if your blood sugar drops, without health-conscious foods; especially when traveling. You want to avoid airport food courts, so you are not tempted. It is in your best interest to always have prepared snacks filled with nuts, plant seeds, or fruits like bananas for a quick healthy pick me up.

A sugar detox is a great way to reset the body and improve your overall health. Although it can be tough at first, it will be worth it in the end once the addiction is gone. If you’re looking to rid your body of excess sugar and unhealthy cravings and would like professional assistance, make sure to visit a doctor who specializes in functional medicine in San Diego. Here’s to health and happiness in 2020!

Detox – The First Step in Alcohol Addiction Treatment

When addiction to alcohol or drugs makes somebody physically dependent on them, he or she may experience withdrawal symptoms if the substance is stopped at once. In such a scenario, detoxification helps diminish the craving for drugs and deal with the withdrawal symptoms.

Detoxification can also be an effective tool to remove toxins left in the body as a result of the chemicals found in drugs and / or alcohol. It systematically and safely helps people withdraw from drugs and covers all aspects of purification from the abusive substance. Though the process can be performed both on outpatient and inpatient basis, the latter is usually preferred as it allows therapists to closely monitor the patients to expedite the detox process.

Detoxification

Alcohol consumption causes physical and emotional changes, putting the health of an alcoholic at risk and endangering his life. Even a small amount of alcohol can have an adverse effect on the body as it is absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed to the other organs of the body. The long-term effects of alcohol abuse take a terrible toll on the patient's life.

However, it needs to be understood that detox is just the initial step toward the long path of treatment. Patients may experience an array of withdrawal symptoms – ranging from a mild headache to the severe delirium tremens (DT) – depending upon the frequency of alcohol use, during the initial seven to 10 days of the detox procedure.

Once the patient is through with the initial process of cleansing, he or she may have to undergo a tougher procedure of medication and therapy, without which, relapse is more likely. Whether an inpatient or an outpatient program, detox works best to remove the alcohol from the system. But it may not do enough to help the patient confront the desire for alcohol that still lingers with the patient.

Physicians usually prescribe medications to reduce cravings, along with other nutrients, such as vitamin B1 supplements and folic acid, to boost the overall health. Many rehabs also offer therapies that are designed to help patients deal with psychological problems related with alcoholism.

As quitting alcohol may have emotional repercussions, it is important to know what triggers alcohol cravings and what are the healthier ways to cope with these triggers. During the process, the patient may experience a range of mental problems, including depression, anxiety, mood swings and fatigue, which need to be effectively addressed.

Significant changes in social habits can affect addicts in many different ways. In rehabs, therapy sessions motivate patients to develop social skills and help them find ways to avoid situations which could trigger a relapse.

Path to recovery

Drug cravings are impossible to resist, with psychological and social factors acting as common triggers that force an addict to start using drugs once again. Ideally, detoxification must include various procedures to assist an individual's withdrawal and purification from drugs. A detox therapy uses medications and counseling to improve the chance of successful recovery in addicts. Drugs like buprenorphine and naltrexone can help patients stay on the road to recovery, under the care of professional medical personnel who supervise the detox process. This process takes place in an inpatient rehab center with the help of adequate medical intervention.

Addiction is a major problem in the country. However, getting over it is not difficult under the right guidance. If you or your loved one is dependent on drugs or alcohol, get in touch with any Detox Helpline in your area.

10 Steps to Detox Your Life

1. Frequently late

The cure to lateness is twofold: learn to estimate time better, and get more organized, so you are not delayed by looking for last minute items. “How to Stretch Time” can help. Perhaps the most important reason to cure yourself of lateness is that it is rude to others, and costs you their good opinion. If your partner is late, stop waiting! Set a reasonable grace period (eg: 15 minutes) and then leave; leaving a note about how to meet you wherever you’re going. That way, you are not forced to operate on the other person’s time schedule. You’ll be surprised at how quickly he or she will learn to be on time.

2. Often angry or irritated

Being easily angered or irritated is a great way to punish yourself. It raises your blood pressure, and tends to create unnecessary problems with others. Anger interferes with clear thinking, and being irritable makes it unpleasant and difficult for others to work or socialize with you. To reform this habit, you must develop more emotional maturity. Understand that your anger is not seen as power by others, but as childishness and petulance. It will lose you far more than you will gain. Learn to slow down, and reduce your overly high expectations. Allow others to be themselves, and don’t expect them to march to your drum. Counting to 10 works wonders, as does taking three deep breaths when you are upset.

A discipline like yoga, meditation, tai chi, or another calming pursuit will teach you patience. Strenuous physical activity is a great way to burn off excess anger. If none of these work, see a therapist or join an anger management group.

3. Unsure of ability to do something

Insecurity and feelings of incompetence are definitely stressful, but they may also be useful. Find out if you really are unprepared for the task ahead. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, or ask for help. It’s OK to be a beginner, even if you’re an expert in other things. If you don’t try to pretend you’re better than you are, you will get more help from others. Take it slowly, and allow yourself to learn as you go. Above all, be supportive to yourself, and don’t subject yourself to harsh internal criticism.

4. Overextended

Frequently becoming overextended can be a sign of grandiosity — overblown expectations of your abilities — or of trying to control everything. Reduce your expectations of your own accomplishments, and allow others to help you in their own way. In the long run, being a team player is usually more efficient than trying to do it all alone and becoming overwhelmed.

5. Not enough time for stress relief

This is an aspect of being overextended, and may be a sign that you always come last in your own life. Learn to schedule time for yourself to relax and to play. If you write personal time on your schedule the same way you do appointments with others, you’ll be more likely to actually do it. Join a class or group that meets regularly for a relaxing activity such as dancing, stretching or meditation, or schedule a regular massage, manicure or facial, so you’ll have a guaranteed place to relax.

6. Feeling unbearably tense

If your anxiety is this high, you may need therapy. Anxiety and panic attacks are among the easiest things to fix in counseling sessions. Anxiety is usually the result of non-stop negative self-talk, which keeps you anxious about everything. Try affirmations and/or prayer to counteract the running commentary in your mind. Learn to breathe deeply from your diaphragm when you feel anxious — it slows your heartbeat and calms you down.

7. Frequently pessimistic

A negative attitude is a result of negative self-talk, and of a negative attitude probably learned in childhood. There are many self-help books which will guide you in learning to change the nature of your approach to life, including It Ends With You. Techniques such as prayer and affirmations, counting your blessings, and setting small goals every day will help you turn this around.

8. Upset by conflicts with others

All conflict is upsetting. The key is to reduce the amount of conflict in your life. Many of the above techniques, such as anger reduction and positive self-talk, will contribute to improving your relationships with others. In addition, you can learn better social techniques such as active

listening, positive regard, win-win negotiation and clear communication which will eliminate the source of conflict. Learn to listen to others (even when you don’t agree) and, before speaking, consider how your words might feel to the other person. Treat other people more as you would like them to treat you, and, most important, stop and think before reacting to someone else.

9. Worn-out or burned-out

Burnout is the result of feeling overextended or ineffective for a long period of time. Most of us can deal with small amounts of frustration or feeling overwhelmed, but if it goes on too long, we lose all our motivation, and become burned out. Motivation comes from celebration and appreciation, so learn to celebrate each little accomplishment, and seek appreciation when you need it. If you have trouble doing that, perhaps it’s time to make a career change or to change some other aspect of your life.

10. Feeling lonely

Loneliness may not result from actually being alone, but more from feeling misunderstood or not valued. People often isolate themselves because they feel inadequate in social situations. Value the friends you do have, and make new friends by attending classes or other group events where you can focus on a task or assignment. This will take the pressure off your contact with other people, and give you something in common with them. Be wary of spending too much time on your computer, in chat rooms, etc. These activities absorb time, but do little to dispel loneliness. Make sure you schedule some time with a friend at least once a week, and if you don’t have friends, then use that weekly time to take a class or join a group (for example, a book club or sports group) which will give you a chance to make new friends.

Kidney And Liver Detox With Couch Grass Herb

Feeling lethargic is never, ever easy especially when exhaustion gets pretty usual when by the time you wake up to the moment you get home from work at night you already are low in energy. Some people may call this situation the “spring fever” or getting so sick after pigging out on the winter season.

Experts say this is just cleanse away also known as the spring tonic where people can go on a vacation for a spring clean and relaxation for couple of weeks each year. This has been a routine for most people in America and Europe as well where herbs are highly used in dishes and baths. In fact, spring cleaning has been celebrated by people since the early centuries!

And today, this is called detoxification. This is how modern investigation nowadays has found out relevant benefits with regards to spring cleaning, its rapid results and effectiveness to health. The body indeed has its own self-cleansing capabilities but since we can accumulate toxins over a period of time especially during the winter, it may not be able to support the vital organs too much and so it’ll need help from us. What you can do is to learn how to support them with “natural” cleansing. Though, cleansing is not only a simple bowel cleanse. Real cleansing should target entire system of the body including the liver and kidneys, deep tissues, the skin and the lymphatic system and lungs.

Also, not all cleansing is a medication away as there are various complications that go behind it. By now you should go through the little beginnings – herbs also known as the depurative plants can have better cleansing capabilities.

Now, Where To Start?

You can take for example trying to begin with Burdock herb. But having a little knowledge on its good and bad sides, you may not know that it definitely pulls out toxins out of the body but then it may also dump them into the bloodstream in certain aspects so proper dosage is a must. That’s not going to be a problem anyway because there are still others which have been used in the old times and have been effective until now for spring cleaning remedies. Other than Parsley and Uva ursi, there’s this herb called Couch Grass.

Couch grass (also known as crab or twitch grass)

It is a French spring tonic under the scientific name Triticum repense where herbal teas made of couch grass roots are said to have unpleasant taste but then it’s been a classic drink in France given to patients as alternative medicine. Despite its unlikable taste, it has various benefits that’s recognized as aid in kidney and liver drainer. Also, quick remedies are just made of handful of chopped fresh couch grass simmered in ½ liter of water for around 20 minutes and then allowed to steep again for another 10 minutes.

This tea or ideal detox “food” for the kidney and liver has been highly recognized by Swiss naturopath, Dr. Alfred Vogel as it stimulates the liver’s cleansing capabilities as well as promotes the body’s natural immunity to fight against diseases easily and for long term. One of the said reasons why couch grass is considered a great spring tonic is through its power to increase the number of red blood corpuscles and hemoglobin in the blood which in return improving the transport of oxygen to the cells great for repairing. Additionally, French research has shown that it regenerates and renews interstitial fluids which act as deep tissue restorer while the herb affects at its best.

How To Make Couch Grass Tea?

To make this herbal root tea, use 2 teaspoons of dried and cut root per cup of water. Slowly boil and simmer. The tea is recommended to be taken three times a day for best results. Also, it’s good to soothe inflammations especially in the mucosal linings in the throat, urinary tract and the stomach. It may loosen release of phlegm and speaking easier for instance when suffering from laryngitis.

To treat kidney-related infections such as problems in urinary tract, couch grass can also be combined with other diuretic herbs for rapid treatment. Herb combination can include Uva ursi, Cornsilk and Buchu.

Detox Teas for Weight Loss

Teas are amazing drinks and vital for natural weight loss by detoxing. Teas are capable of providing several different benefits while you follow your detox regimen. They can cleanse your body, fortify your system against pollutants and can even prevent parasites.

Herbal Detox Tea is your first step in cleansing your colon and detoxifying the liver. The Herbal Detox Tea is blended with all natural herbs that support a healthy liver and clears congestion in the liver and the colon. By doing this, it helps to support a healthy digestive system and fortifies your body against toxins and pollutants.

Another vital part of natural weight loss by detoxing is cleansing the kidneys and urinary system. Natural Cleans Tea is a natural blend of herbs that promotes regularity and treats constipation. It also helps to detox the kidneys and urinary system while supporting healthy digestive function. Natural Cleanse Tea is the same formula that many cultures have used for balancing their systems throughout history.

In addition to these two teas, you can also make your own detox teas at home for natural weight loss by detoxing. As we know, the colon is capable of holding pounds of sludge and build-up. This not only makes you sick, but it also contributes to weight gain. Colon cleansing is an important part of natural weight los by detoxing. Depending on the strength of colon cleansing that you need, you can brew five different types of teas.

For maximum colon cleansing, combine two cups of water with a teaspoon of senna leaf, cascara sagrada leaf and chamomile. Simmer for no longer than one or two minutes or until it turns a lit tea color and drink a cup in the morning and night. Senna leaf is not to be used more than twice a week as it is an irritant and can become addictive.

For a light cleanse, combine three cups of water, a chopped apple, 5 figs and prunes and stevia to taste. Simmer with lid on until the fruit is soft and drink the juice.

There are a variety of other teas that can be brewed for colon cleansing as well. However, many people suffer from parasites and this can be a contributing factor in weight gain. In order to remove and prevent parasites, it’s important to use a detox tea to improve your natural weight loss by detox. Indian Tea is ideal for the prevention of parasites, particularly when traveling internationally. To brew, combine 4-5 whole cardamom pods, ½ stick of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of fennel seeds, 10 whole cloves, 5 drops of black walnut tincture, 1-2 packets of stevia, vanilla or almond extract to taste. Boil in a quart of water until the tea tastes strong. You can add chamomile to enhance the flavor.

Herbal Detox Tea and Natural Cleanse Tea are available through Martha’s Vineyard Holistic Retreat in the online store. You can also find 21 Pounds in 21 Days which includes a variety of recipes designed to enhance your natural weight loss by detox, as it outlines the detox program and the variety of healthy detox teas that you can make at home.

Detox Diet Benefits

What to Expect when Detox Dieting

All detox diets are a little bit different. Some restrict food down to almost nothing while others allow for mostly veggies, beans, fruit, and rice. There are a few things that you should expect when beginning a detox diet, so that you can receive the full detox diets benefits.

Your body is significantly used to adjusting to toxins and poisons running through your body. One of the greatest detox diet benefits, naturally, is that you will rid your body of these toxins and poisons. There are side effects of receiving these detox diet benefits. If you are particularly used to that steaming cup of caffeinated beverage in the morning, you will experience caffeine withdrawal. While it may not seem like it while you are experiencing caffeine withdrawal, this is one of the detox diet benefits. Once your body has adjusted to the absence of caffeine, you should find that you have more energy.

Constipation is considered a leading cause of lethargy and fatigue. One of the detox diet benefits is the cleansing of the colon, which can cure even long term constipation. I had a room mate that was on narcotic pain relievers for over a year due to a severe injury. The narcotics kept her chronically constipated. The day she was finally through with her narcotic pain relievers, she went through a detox diet. She found that the detox diet benefits included relieving her body of the narcotic dependency as well as relieved her chronic constipation. She now regularly cleanses and detoxifies her colon when she is having difficulty going to the restroom, with obvious detox diet benefits as she returns from the restroom with a pleased grin on her face instead of the anguish she used to live in.

Even with the detox diet benefits, some people report feeling a bit weak about one week into the detox diet. Most detox diets do reduce food consumption, which can have an effect. The basic key is knowing how to elongate the effects of the foods you do eat. Those who really struggle with the lowered food consumption report that splitting the lunches into 2 meals works better for them than eating just the suggested breakfast and lunch. This still gives them the detox diet benefits but doesn’t introduce additional foods into the scenario. Most detox diet experts state that provided you are not adding additional foods to the diet, segregating the meals into smaller snacks is perfectly acceptable.

The excessive water consumption associated with the detox diet is going to encourage your system to flush, which means you will be visiting the rest room much more often. This is a positive detox diet benefit. The more water that flushes your system the more toxins that will exit your body when you excrete it, and excreting it often will enhance the productivity of the entire process.

One of the little known detox diet benefits is the regeneration of the liver that can occur while following a detox diet. Milk thistle is typically recommended as part of the supplementation of the detox diet. Milk thistle aids in the liver’s ability to regenerate. It’s not a cure for liver disease, however it can help in the prevention of a liver disease, along with other changes to your lifestyle.

What Not to Expect when Detox Dieting

Detox dieting is designed to alleviate the ailments associated with large quantities of toxins that are built up in the human body. Detox dieting is not a “cure” for every disease. While most people experience great relief from every day annoying symptoms, detox dieting does not eliminate diseases that are already in the system. For instance, you can not rid you body of cancer cells by detox dieting. The cancer cells, for starters are not an actual toxin. They may have been caused by toxins, but the cells themselves are not something that can be flushed away.

Most people drop several pounds when detox dieting. There are those who drop a significant amount of weight when detox dieting. This is normal, and while some of it can be contributed to the flushing of fat cells, water weight, and calorie reduction, there is some permanent weight loss happening provided you do not return to eating habits that are probable for weight gain. This means that if you were prone to eating potato chips and cookies prior to detox dieting and you return to eating potato chips and cookies after detox dieting, you will gain the weight back. This may seem obvious, but there are plenty of foods that people believe contain a low calorie and low fat content but in reality they contain quite the opposite. An avocado for example contains nearly three times the amount of fat and calories as a measured serving of enriched white rice. While detox dieting, learn to recognize the foods you are putting into your body and what they actually do once they enter your gullet.

Detox dieting is not a cure for serious emotional or mental conditions, such as clinical depression. While many people admit to feeling less “depressed” during and after detox dieting, there is a difference between situational depression and clinical depression. Clinical depression requires medication. Detox dieting can not take the place of medication that is necessary to function on a day to day basis. Situational depression may be alleviated through detox dieting simply because you are taking control of your body, your health, in essence, your situation. These two depressions are significantly different.

How is Detox Dieting Different from Other Diet Plans?

Diet plans are a dime a dozen. There are grapefruit diet plans and the Atkins diet plan and the green tea diet plan and the national chain diet plans. An individual can spend countless hours and thousands of dollars “trying on” various diet plans. Some will work while others will ultimately fail. Why? Because not all diet plans will work for everyone. Does detox dieting work for everyone? Yes. Why? Because losing weight is a by product of the goal. The goal is to clean the body of the various toxins and wastes which have accumulated over the years. This is a process of ridding the body of the ailing chemicals we introduce it to on a daily basis while eliminating the build up of residual toxins. Weight loss occurs as a result of numerous factors, but weight loss in not the primary goal of a detox diet plan.

Keep in mind that not all detox diet plans are the same. Some detox diet plans are put together by professionals who understand the body’s ability to cleanse itself of these harmful chemicals. While diet plans are typically put together by an entrepreneurial spirit, the detox diet plan was actually something that originated by a naturopathist, an individual who studies the various body types and how they process things on their own unique level. Since the detox diet plan was developed, there have been a remarkable number of “knock off” detox diet plans that have shown up on the market. These are all plans that suggest you stop eating and drink only diluted juice for several days (beyond twenty four hours this becomes unhealthy) and then limits food intake so dramatically that people find it impossible to stick to. If you’re going to try any diet plan at all, it would simply make sense to start at the beginning. The beginning of healthy weight loss is a healthy body.

The dramatic detox diet benefits is that people who tried to detoxify their bodies using the original detox diet plan found themselves losing weight as a welcome surprise. Detox dieting has grown in popularity due to its dual effect. Detox dieting cleanses the body of the toxins and as a result, weight loss occurs. There simply isn’t another diet plan that can match that no matter what they claim.

We live in a cluttered and chemically enriched society. Compare our lifestyles, our food products, and our basic need for heat and eat meals to the lifestyles and foods of people in remote and natural regions such as the Pacific Islands. People in natural regions are healthier overall. They eat natural foods that haven’t been laced with chemicals and they live natural lives that don’t revolve around the constant breathing of polluted air. Their bodies are not only healthier, but they are naturally thinner. They have fewer health complaints such as headaches and toothaches and stomach cramping.

The detox diet plan can help you jumpstart your body toward a healthier state of being. Naturally, effective detox dieting requires an effective detox diet plan. You really shouldn’t just linger out there in cyberspace hoping the right detox diet plan will pop up into your browser. There are very few detox diet plans that I would dare put my stamp of approval on. However, one in particular I have found has excellent reviews by some actual detox dieters. Finding an authentic detox diet plan that is effective, safe, and of course reliable shouldn’t be left to luck.

Flush The Fat – Three Steps For A Cellulite Detox

Don’t let one more ounce of fat get anywhere near your body. You can reverse the fat build process beginning today.

If you seeing lady lumps appearing in places you definitely don’t want them… You probably need to decongest your digestive system and detox your body after all the stress and low budget fast food you had been eating for lunch.

How do you know if you need a cellulite fat flushing purifying cleanse?

In order to experience a long-term lean body you must eat a perfectly balanced nutritious diet. One of the great advantages of achieving that lean body is high energy and mental clarity.

It is difficult sometimes to start a program so my suggestion is to jump in lips first. It’s looking at everything that passes through your lips into your mouth and down into your stomach for digestion.

Proper nutrition is the basis for boosting your metabolic system and the extra energy you will feel from the detoxifying effects of fresh juices, super foods, herb teas and healing broths.

Most weight loss diets have little nutrition to offer so they leave you feeling tired and lifeless. In the end, even if you lose weight, you feel so deprived that it starts ravenous cravings for foods that zap your energy and put the weight right back on. You end up feeling worse than when you started.

A cellulite fat flushing purifying cleanse is one of the best ways to jump-start your weight loss, which can lead to total healing and anti-aging. Dangerous fats such as saturated fats in processed meats and dairy foods, trans-fats like those found in many dairy foods, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils found in margarine, shortening and many quick snack foods, and oxidized fats, like those in all fried foods, collect in the excess body fat you already have. They all make your fat worse and makes cellulite even more dimply!

Sugary foods and highly processed foods (like fast foods) are void of digestive enzymes that they end up collecting as excess fat, too. When your system is congested, your body tries to dump its metabolic wastes to get them out of the way and one of the places that receive this horrific metabolic waste is excess fat.

Is your body showing signs that it needs a cellulite fat flushing purifying cleanse?

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to find out….

First of all… what is Cellulite? Cellulite is a combination of fat, water and trapped wastes beneath the skin. It is concentrated areas of fat that appears dimpled when you squish it in your hands.

Quick Steps for a Cellulite Detox to Jump Start Your Weight Loss Program

Step 1 – DRINK

Drink plenty of bottled or filtered water!

Eight to twelve glasses of purified water each day. This can include herbal teas that do not have caffeine. Water can help an overeater get past weight loss plateaus; decreasing water intake causes increased fat deposits. Drink all liquids before eating, to suppress appetite and maintain a high metabolic rate. Make sure at least 50 percent of your diet is composed or fresh foods and fresh juices.

Step 2 – GO Keep it Moving!

Rev up your fiber intake. Fiber plays a major role in weight control and fat detoxification.

Fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains and legumes are great forms of fiber.

Stop the bad fats! Unhealthy fats make you gain weight… healthy fats like olive oil, flax seed oil and canola oil assist weight loss as long as they are used in moderation. The healthy oil is also good for digestion.

Step 3 – EAT

Eat Foods that are Alive, Fresh and Organic!

Here are some suggestions:

Green leafy vegetables. Eat them raw, put them into a broth, add them to your juices. Their chlorophyll helps remove environmental toxins (heavy metals, pesticides) and it is a great liver protector. Fresh food calories are relatively non-stimulating to glands and tend to stabilize weight. Add sea vegetables to your diet everyday.

Lemons. Fluids are vital. They help flush the body. Freshly squeezed lemonade is ideal. Its vitamin C – considered the detox vitamin – helps convert toxins into a water – soluble form that is easily flushed away.

Watercress. Add a cupful to your salads, soups, and whole grain and fat free sandwiches. This peppery green leaf has a diuretic effect that helps move things through your system. And watercress is rich in minerals too.

Garlic. Add it to everything – salads, sauces, spreads. In addition to the bulb’s cardio benefits, it activates liver enzymes that help filter out toxic debris.

Broccoli sprouts. Buy them at a health-food store. They pack 20 to 50 times more cancer-fighting, enzyme-stimulating activity into each bite than the grown-up vegetable.

Cabbage. There are two main types of detoxifying enzymes in the liver; this potent veggie helps activate both of them. Coleslaw, anyone?

Water based fruits. Melons, kiwi, oranges, grapefruits, apples and berries. They’re full of almost all full of fiber, vitamin C, fiber, nutritious fluids, and all kinds of antioxidants. Nothing tastes better and is more refreshing than fresh honeydew melon, fresh berries, or a juicy apple.

Green tea. This antioxidant-rich brew is one of the healthiest ways to get more fluids into your system. Bonus: It contains catechins, which speed up liver activity. I like the decaf because I can’t handle too much caffeine.

Psyllium. A plant that is rich in soluble fiber, like oat bran, but more versatile. It picks up toxins (cholesterol too) and helps clear them out. Stir powdered psyllium into juice to help cleanse your colon, or have psyllium-fortified Bran Buds for breakfast.

Sesame seeds. They’re credited with protecting liver cells from the damaging effects of alcohol and other chemicals. For a concentrated form, try tahini, the tasty sesame seed paste that’s a staple of Asian cooking.

Working out during a cellulite fat flushing purifying cleanse What Exercise Should I Undertake While Cleansing/ Detoxing?

As you can imagine, during a detox it is not a good idea to put your body under too much strain or stress through exercise. However, this does not mean that all exercise is forbidden during a detox (you don’t get out of it that easily!).

The detox process aims to give your body an opportunity to cleanse itself, flushing any toxins from your system and therefore you want to know which exercise can help with this process and is recommended while detoxing. Aerobic (fat burning) exercise is one of the primary exercises to focus on when detoxing. Aerobic exercise increases your heart-rate into your ‘fat burning zone’ (intensity of around 6-7 out of 10 rate of perceived exertion) and encourages deep, diaphragmatic breathing that helps flush your lymphatic system while you are burning fat.

While resistance training is fantastic for you, it’s better to not do heavy mass building workouts while you are in the first seven days of a good detox. This type of exercise (along with high intensity aerobic training (HIT) can be quite stressful on the body during a detox and can therefore inhibit the body’s ability to repair itself effectively. After the first seven days, you can go back to your heavy training.

Amelia, I recommend this type of focused programmed for seven days. Once you have kicked your body into purification, you can gradually add in more carbohydrates that are moderate to low glyemcic and natural.

If you like the way you feel and your body is responding well and your energy is high, keep going until you can achieve a modified version that will be easily maintained. This is one of the methods I used for several of my artists who had to look good fast in a bikini or less for a photo shoot.

I am so passionate about getting rid of cellulite that I made an entire program about it. I outline the foods, and celebrity secrets that cost many actresses thousands of dollars to find out. It’s called my Quick Start Energy Program [http://www.quickstartenergyprogram.com/] and it contains my Special Cellulite Solution MP3 Audio that goes into specific detail about cellulite reduction!

I wish you well with your career and with your life. I strongly encourage you to design your perfect life. Don’t settle for anything less than the best of everything. Only accept the perfect job, only date perfect men and most of all make yourself happy before you even think about getting married. Make sure you marry someone who celebrates You and all that you are and all that you desire to be.

God Bless and make it the Best Week Ever!

Liver Detox Diet – Your Ultimate Health Weapon

One of the most important organs of the human body is the liver. It aids in the digestion of food and also the buildup of your body’s tissues. It is also vital in importing vitamins and minerals into different parts of your body, thus, improving your immune system. The liver is continuously processing huge quantities of food and fluids and it works harder in eliminating bodily wastes. Simply put, your liver is one hardworking organ. In order to keep it healthy, you need to have a liver detox diet.

Toxic waste that come from the environment accumulate over time, and the only way that these toxins are taken out of the body is through detoxification. Bad habits like nicotine addiction; alcohol consumption; and stressful living are all geared towards the deterioration of your health. Once you experience nausea, vomiting, or fatigue, it’s already a small indicator that your liver might need a little cleansing. If this conditions worsen into belly pains; pale eyes or skin; itching; loss of appetite; or dark urine, it’s time to raise the red flag and contact your physician.

The most basic liver cleansing diet is purified water and juices such as lemon or orange juice. But the subsequent liver detox diet often includes herbs such as Gervao, Boldo leaf, Chanca Peidra. If you’re not fond of looking for these leaves among herbal drugstores, then there are also commercially-prepared medications that you can purchase. Green tea is also a known liver detoxifier and so is milk thistle and vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, green cabbage, and the like.

It is advisable to steam the vegetables that you are going to consume so that the liver does not have to work hard to break down these foods. A juice diet is highly recommended as it easily flushes out the toxins out of the body. What your liver basically needs while it’s detoxifying are water and glucose. Raw grains and vegetables are not advisable during the liver detox program.

It is essential to get rid of certain foods and fluids especially during the first week of the liver detox diet. You should get rid of alcohol, greasy foods, red meat, and junk foods (such as pizza, chips, and French fries).

Many people believe that a strict liver detox diet results into an overall wellness. But like any diet, you should be wary and it’s better to contact your physician first before you delve into any program.
