Residential Moving Services

Moving an office, whether it is large or small, can be a daunting task if the moving company you choose to hire is not organized, or does not have the right employees in place to do the job. Among the things to consider while moving an office is safely moving electronics, breaking down desks and other furniture, and staging everything correctly at the new location. You also have to worry about which things are going into storage during the move, which things are being salvaged, and what is not making the move altogether. By hiring a professional, well established moving company you can count on them to get the job done in a short period of time and done correctly.

One key service offered while moving an office is being given a coordinator that is only there to make sure everything is going smoothly while packing and breaking down the office. Another on site coordinator will be at the new location to navigate each desk, computer, and everything else to exactly where it belongs. One measure to keep things organized is everything will be labeled to where it will be going, and there will be a written plan for placement in the new office before the move ever begins.

Another major service an experienced mover will offer to your business is trained employees that know exactly how to treat electronics and how to break down office furniture. They will take a high degree of care during this process in order to be able to put everything back together properly at the new location.

If you are planning on putting old files and office furniture into storage during the move, your moving company can offer a storage facility that they trust and the means to move everything into storage while the main move is going on. This will save you multiple trips, and will make sure your new office will be clutter free. They may also offer special packing supplies that work perfect with the usual things you might find in an office, such as files, desks, cabinets, and old electronics.

Office moves need to be done quickly and professionally in order to be a true success. No company can afford to have their operations down for an extended period of times, which is one service that cannot be put into monetary terms. If you are planning to relocate your business, be sure you hire a well-established mover with many references to give you piece of mind that you are hiring the right people.

Foundational Steps for Voice Training Lessons

Singing should be an easy thing. We all do it at some time or another, whether it is at church, choir, in the car on the commute home, or even in the shower. Some people are pretty good at it, others are OK, and others…well, let’s just say they aren’t exactly the next Celine Dion!

But believe it or not, there is a right way, and a wrong way, for normal people like you and I, to sing. Singing correctly, with correct use of vocal chords, can mean the difference between singing in healthy and sustainable, as opposed to unhealthy and potentially harmful, ways.

To keep your voice sounding as good as it can be and lasting your lifetime means that you have to make an effort to be physically fit and in good health. This means maintaining a healthy diet, sleeping well, exercising once in a while, not using drugs, and not drinking too much alcohol.

Perhaps the most important aspect of voice training lessons is learning how your voice apparatus functions and how to use it correctly without causing any voice problems. To do this, you need to have good posture, breathing support, and projection in order to maximize your vocal chords.

When singing, you should stand up straight, but relaxed, pull back your shoulders and keep your chest high, though not as rigidly as a soldier standing in attention position.

The following is a good exercise for this posture: stand with your feet hip-width apart and your arms at your sides. Standing on your tiptoes, bring your arms in a circular motion across your body and above your head, at the same time while taking a deep breath. Exhale and bring your arms down to your sides while holding your shoulders and chest the same posture they were. Got this first step of voice training lessons?

As you inhale again, while your spinal, abdominal, and diaphragm muscles work together, you should feel full expansion around the belly part. Remember, breath support is another one of the most important elements in voice training lessons to produce a beautiful sound, and without straining of the throat. Once you’ve taken the full breath in, breathe out again, and this time, release with a hissing sound while maintaining the expansion of your middle section.

This practice may take some time to master, but it will assist you in strengthening your singing muscles and help you sing in a healthy, sustainable manner with less vocal fatigue and better tone quality. Remember, this is only the beginning of your voice training lessons.

Another important aspect of singing, in addition to proper posture and breathing, is your tone quality.

For most singing, vocal teachers recommend what is called a “mixed tone,” which means the sound is coming from both your pharynx (mouth and throat) and your head (sinuses). With this combination, you will feel the sound vibrate in the area of a half-face Halloween mask while singing and it is called “mask resonance”.

To perfect this “mixed tone”or “mask resonance” you can practice the following exercise: take in a good, deep breath, and starting on a high note (for your vocal range), sound out the syllables “hoo” or “hee,” then slide from the top note to a low note. Do this exercise akin to yawning after you’ve taken a nap and you should feel vibration in the soft palate (roof of your mouth) and in the triangle between the bridge of your nose and your eyes.

This exercise, along with our earlier breathing exercise, will ultimately teach you the basic steps necessary to sing in a healthy, sustainable, and most importantly, beautiful manner. In no time, you will be able to impress your friends and family with the progress you’ve made!

10 Tips For Successful Indoor UV Tanning In Tanning Beds

Indoor UV tanning can be wonderful and beneficial if you know how to do it correctly.

Here are 10 UV tanning tips that will help you to get the most out of your visit to a tanning salon.

UV tanning tip 1: Select your salon. Believe it or not, but UV tanning can be one of the best skin-care and overall health beneficial activities you can provide for your body. You just have to get the right individual advice of how to do it correctly. Even if you follow all tips on this page, you will need professional advice at the tanning salon of your choice. Therefore, select to visit salons that have trained staff that can give you individual advice. Cleanness, modernity of equipment, the changing of lamps at regular intervals and the general atmosphere, are also important features when you make your choice of salon.

UV tanning tip 2: Know your skin type. To know your skin-type is very important for a good result and safe tanning. The amount of melanin in your skin, together with your goal for your tanning, will determine your tanning program and which kind of tanning lotions you should use. If you are skin-type 2, you will need to build up more melanin in order to develop a deeper tan. If you are skin-type 3 or 4, you might just want to darken you existing melanin with UVA-rays (but remember, this will not give you any Vitamin D).

UV tanning tip 3: Decide your tanning goals. Do you want the darkest possible color, or do you want a combination of Vitamin D and a healthy glow? Maybe you want to prepare your skin for a sunny vacation? Tell your tanning goals to the staff in the salon so they can give you suitable advice.

UV tanning tip 4: Which kind of UV-rays? Find a tanning salon with tanning beds (and staff) that can meet your goals. Remember that UVA-rays from high-pressure lamps only oxidize the existing melanin in your skin and do not produce any Vitamin D or build up any additional melanin in order to prepare the skin for further tanning. UVB-rays from low-pressure lamps, on the other hand, make the body produce both Vitamin D and more melanin. The amount of UVB in low-pressure lamps can vary. Look for a tanning bed with at least 3% UVB (in relation to UVA) for best result in shortest time. The staff in the salon should be able to guide you.

UV tanning tip 5: Do NOT burn your skin! Always stay on the safe side of burning your skin when tanning in a tanning bed (this goes of course also for tanning under the open sun). Even if you want to get as dark as possible, do not take any risks with too long tanning sessions in too strong tanning beds. You must let your skin get used to tanning slowly. Use the UVB rays to build up more melanin and use tanning lotions with bronzers and other active tan- and skin- care ingredients to help your skin stay young and healthy also after many years of tanning. Follow a tanning schedule advised by the staff in the tanning salon, and you should be fine.

UV tanning tip 6: Always use tanning lotions! Always use tanning lotions specially made for indoor tanning in tanning beds. The role of such lotions is to keep you skin well moisturized, provide anti-oxidation and rejuvenation as well as add bronzing tan-enhancers. Good indoor tanning lotions should have a rich moisturizing base (preferably Aloe vera or coconut milk), a fair amount of other active skin-caring ingredients (preferably with silicone to lock them and the moisture into the skin) and bronzers to assist the tanning process. There are three different kinds of bronzers, each with a specific task:

  1. Natural bronzers (with Tyrosine) to speed up the natural production of melanin.
  2. Delayed bronzers (with DHA and/or Erythrulose) that oxidize existing melanin.
  3. Cosmetic coloring bronzers that dye your skin more brown (just like coloring your hair).

Delayed bronzers and cosmetic coloring bronzers work also without UV-light and are therefore common in self-tanning lotions.

Tingle lotions can be used carefully in order to provide more oxygen to the tanning process.

Remember – having a smooth, healthy and well moisturized skin that absorbs the UV-light, can make your session double as effective than when having a dry and wrinkled skin that reflects the UV-rays. Always buy your lotion in your tanning salon. Only then can you be sure of the quality and get professional advice on how to find and use the right lotion for your skin-type and goals.

UV tanning tip 7: Protect your eyes! Always use special goggles during your tanning session. Just closing the eyes will not prevent the UV-rays from harming your eye-sight. The goggles must have a broad-spectrum protection towards both UVA and UVB. Even if you believe that the staff in your tanning salon follows the highest hygienic standards for the goggles they provide, it is better to buy your own, personal, goggles in your salon. Ordinary sun-glasses are not suitable for indoor tanning in tanning beds.

UV tanning tip 8: When to shower? It is better to take a shower before your sunbed session than directly after. The reason for this is that when you apply the tanning lotion, your skin should be as clean as possible. Furthermore, if you use lotions with delayed and/or cosmetic coloring bronzers, they need to stay on the skin for at least four hours in order to give the optimal benefits.

UV tanning tip 9: Horizontal or vertical? This is mainly a matter of taste. Many prefer horizontal beds because you can relax better during the tanning session. Others prefer vertical tanning units because you can move around in order to increase the blood-circulation for a more even color without white pressure marks. The choice is yours (if your salon offers the alternatives).

UV tanning tip 10: Respect your fellow tanners. Be quick and efficient in the tanning booth before and after your session. (But don’t stress since tanning should be a relaxing experience). Make it easy for the tanning salon staff to clean after you by picking up and dispose of any paper, empty tanning lotions packets etc.

Please be aware of that the tips above are valid for you only if you are in normal condition. In case you are suffering from any medical problems, you better first consult your doctor before using indoor UV-tanning.

Hopefully you found the tips for indoor UV tanning useful and, if so, please share them with your friends.

Massage Therapy Fan Stroke – How To Do It

It is important that when you are looking to perform massage therapy on someone else you learn the right movements and techniques that are required of your hands. In a number of different articles I will be explaining how you should perform the various different massage hand movements correctly. In this particular article we explain the steps you need to take in order to carry out the fan stroke technique correctly.

This particular movement compared to the others is very gentle and will prepare the muscles that are being treated with a much deeper massage later on. Below are the steps that you need to take in order to carry out this move effectively.

Step 1 – You should either kneel either beside or straddling over the person you are going to be giving the massage to. It is important that they are lying on their front (face towards the floor) in a position that they feel comfortable with.

Step 2 – You now place the palms of each hand flat on to either side of the person’s spine at a position just above where there hips are located. Then you need to apply very light pressure with both hands on to either side of the body beside the spine. However it is important that you never apply any pressure directly on to the person’s spine. Now very slowly side your hands forward along their back until you come to their shoulder blades.

Step 3 – Upon reaching the shoulder blades you need to move your hands in a curve so that they actually glide over the shoulder blades and onto the shoulders themselves. Once at the shoulder blades you now start to move the hands down the sides of the person’s body where the rib cage until you get back to the position where you originally started from.

Step 4 – The above steps need to be repeated several times and each time slightly more pressure should be applied as you continue the movement. Plus ensure that your fingers are always pointing in the same direction. That is that they should be pointing towards the back of the person’s head that is having the massage therapy.

Also when carrying out the fan stroke during a massage therapy session it is important that apply pressure to the body with the whole of your hand. However most of the pressure that they should be feeling should be as you move up their body from the hips should be coming from the heel of your hand and then from the fingers as you return to the starting position. Plus it is important that you try and keep this movement as smooth as possible and when first learning about massage therapy this is one of the best hand movements to learn first off.

7 Key Rules To Maintain Your Car Tyres

In today’s world, maintenance and neglection can determine the life of your tyres. It’s quite tough to take care of your each & every part of your vehicle to maintain the performance or extend the life of your one of the most valuable assets. Neglecting the maintenance of your car tyres can be very costly.

Pay attention to these key areas to save on its replacement instead of keeping an eye on your vehicle’s performance and checking other parts. According to the experts, tyre maintenance is not a rocket science, it’s just a set of basic rules which are easy to follow for extending their life.

Know the inflation level: You better know the inflation level which is the biggest influence on tyre life. They are designed to run at a specific pressure. So gather the information on your exact axle load or refer to a tyre load chart. These are available online as well so that you can make the adjustments accordingly.

Join a good inflation maintenance program: It’s better if you can join a good tyre maintenance program which is quite difficult as they naturally lose air. Small punctures or valve caps may encourage the leakage. Make sure you check your tyres on a regular basis or once in a week to look if there is a rapid leak.

Reduce your driving speed: It always recommends to control your driving speed because the high speed generates more heat and accelerate tyre wear. The average speed between 55 mph to 75 mph can reduce the total treads mileage by 20% so make sure you keep the speed approx 55mph to increase the mileage.

Keep your vehicles well-aligned: Poor vehicle alignment is the major reason of the uncertain wears. Unexpected tread wear would appear on parts of the tyres if they don’t run straight ahead. The vehicle should be properly aligned so it’s better you start a serious alignment program which may increase the tyre mileage by 30%.

Mount it correctly: It’s better you watch the performance of your car tyres. You will have to watch that your tyres are mounted or match-mounted to the wheel correctly. The high spot may vary one tyre to another so watch this mark when you mount the tyres. It’s better if you take the high spot to match it to the low spot of the wheel.

Check & replace a wheel on time: You need to check the wheels and suspension components on time so that you can replace these hidden enemies of your tyres. If your wheel bearing is not torqued properly, it may cause irregular wear. Worn shock absorbers may cause depression wear on treads and an early trip to the scrap pile. Don’t wait for the suspension components to be broken or for any leakage. It’s better if you can replace shock absorbers and other suspension components.

Rotate Tyres: Intelligent tyre rotation is quite important to promote even tread wear and add a lot of extra miles in tread life. It’s better if you rotate drive tyres between forward and back positions once in a few months to even out wear. Rear tyres will wear quicker than the forward positions so, it’s better if you emphasize on intelligent tyre rotation.

If you follow these basic ways to maintain your car tyres, you will find the better mileage, smooth drive, and less maintenance or the car tyre replacement cost. This is the ideal way of extending your tyre life and make it reliable for a long drive.

Damaged Trampoline Springs Needs Immediate Replacement

The first priority of any trampoline owner should be to maintain safety. It is vital that trampoline owners replace damaged springs immediately to decrease the risk of accidents occurring. Damaged springs include springs that are broken, overstretched, or even missing from the trampoline. Having even just one damaged spring on a trampoline or one spring missing from the trampoline, can have costly effects as well as increase the possibility of an accident occurring.

The problem that occurs if you do not have good, tight springs installed everywhere required by the frame is that the trampoline components are not tensioned correctly. If the parts are not tensioned correctly this affects the entire trampoline. Damaged springs cause your mat to be pulled in one direction more than other directions, which can cause your mat to tear. It can also loosen your perimeter hardware, resulting in springs popping off of the trampoline mat. If the mat is not tensioned properly excessive stress is placed upon other springs, causing them to overstretch or break.

Uneven tension also causes abundant stress on your trampoline frame, which can warp the shape of your frame. For rectangular frames it may cause a bow inward or outward on the frame, depending on where the springs are missing. Round trampoline frames can be altered much easier than rectangular frames since they are usually composed of lighter steel. Replacing damaged springs will save you money over time because it can help prevent replacement of frame parts or other trampoline components.

To replace your trampoline springs you will need to know the length of your trampoline springs. To determine the length of the spring you should remove it from the trampoline so that it is in the relaxed state. After removing the spring from the trampoline you should measure from one end to the opposite end including the hooks at each end of the spring. If you are measuring a spring that is damaged in any way, you should measure more than one to be sure you are getting an accurate measurement. It is important to measure the tightest spring you can find on your trampoline for accuracy.

If all of your springs are damaged and you are unable to determine the exact number of springs for trampoline, you can call to the supplier for help. After providing specific measurements of your trampoline mat and frame you will be able to place the order for the correct size and number of springs for your trampoline.

Hard Drive Performance Comparison

I have had many people ask me including fellow network administrators, Information Technology Consultants, College Students and Business Owners what is the difference between the Seagate ST31000528AS drive and the Seagate ST31000524AS drive?

The only real difference between these two seagate barracuda drives is read and write performance. Overall both of these drives are considered high quality and have proven to be reliable if used correctly.

I personally use and recommend Seagate Barracuda hard-drives and use them when I need reliable SATA drives. They serve their purpose well if they are used correctly in the right environment and situation.

You probably won’t notice a difference in performance between the two different drives unless you are using the hard drives on a RAID array or MIRROR array and are using the hard drives to store large amounts of data where read and write performance is important such as on a file server, database server, email server, terminal server or even a web server.

Both hard drives are in the same ball park as far as price is concerned so there is no good reason to choose the slower drive unless you are using a 3.0Gb/s bus where you would not be able to take advantage of the faster hard drive – Seagate ST31000524AS anyways.

Here is a simple comparison between the two Seagate Barracuda Drives:

Seagate ST31000528AS

Series Barracuda

Interface SATA 3.0Gb/s

Capacity 1TB

RPM 7200

Cache 32MB

Average Latency 4.16ms

Form Factor 3.5 inches

VS

Seagate ST31000524AS

Series Barracuda

Interface SATA 6.0Gb/s

Capacity 1TB

RPM 7200

Cache 32MB

Average Latency 4.16ms

Form Factor 3.5 inches

As you can see above the only real difference between the two Seagate Barracuda hard drives is the Seagate ST31000528AS has a read / write speed of 3.0Gb/s while the Seagate ST31000524AS has a read / write speed of 6.0Gb/s.

Obviously I would prefer the faster hard-drive and both are high quality and reliable for small to medium sized business and if properly configured will make you happy.

When fellow network administrators or and small and medium sized businesses in and around Orlando Florida and Central Florida turn to me for technology advise and ask me which hard drive between the two models would I personally prefer and I would choose the faster drive because well it has a read / write speed double that of the Seagate ST31000528AS

Intonation in English Is an Important Part of Pronunciation for ESL Teachers

I would have to say that something that is sometimes missed when teaching ESL students English pronunciation is intonation. For ESL students English intonation is an important part of learning English because it not only gives English its rhythm, it also helps you in understanding what a person is saying.

English Intonation comes from the extra emphasis (stress) that native speakers and good non-native speakers place on certain words. The rhythm in English comes from the emphasis that is placed on some words and not on others. Native speakers place extra emphasis on the key words when they speak to make them stand out. The key words are the nouns, main verbs, adjectives, and some other words when needed. If you are able to only hear the emphasized words, you will still be able to understand most of what the person said. You will also notice that native speakers from different countries may place different emphasis on some words.

Native speakers listen for the stressed words because the unstressed words are not as important for understanding what is said. “I like walking in the park because it gives me a feel for nature.” is a complete sentence. Which words you emphasize can have a big effect on the listeners understanding. The two following sentences show you what happens if certain words are emphasized correctly or incorrectly:

Emphasized correctly – “I like walking… park… gives me… feel… nature.” From this you have a good idea about what the person said.

If the emphasis is on the non-important words you might hear “in the… because it… a… for.” If these are the only words you hear then you will have a hard time understanding what was said

The example shows that the emphasized words make a difference to your understanding of what the person has said. From this we can see that placing emphasis correctly is important in speaking understandable English. This extra emphasis on the word is done in a few ways, but the most common is to elongate (make longer) the main vowel sound in the word. This emphasis helps in understanding what the person has said, and it also produces the rhythm of English. This makes Intonation am important part of pronunciation because it makes the important words stand out, it gives a rhythm to the English language, and it affects the pronunciation of the emphasized and non-emphasized words.

Given the importance of intonation it is surprising that some or many ESL teachers don’t spend more time stressing intonation when they are teaching English. I see this as a problem because not emphasizing the right word and emphasizing the wrong word can cause comprehension problems for the listener. It can also change the pronunciation of the word such that it sounds like a different word. This is because an emphasized vowel sound can sound different than a non-emphasized vowel sound for the same vowel. It is the difference between the long vowel sounds and the short vowel sounds for a particular vowel.

The effects of improper intonation are that by placing stress on the wrong word it can change the vowel sound on two words. The two being the one you stressed but should not have stressed, and the word that should have been stressed and was not stressed. The difference is that a long vowel sound has been made into schwa sounds (É™) and a schwa vowel sound is now a long vowel sound. Improper intonation will cause this. The non-emphasized vowel sound may not be the schwa sound, but the short vowel sound will usually be different than the long vowel sound. This decreases comprehension by the listener which will lead to misunderstandings or not understanding.

Pronunciation of the improperly emphasized word and the improperly non-emphasized word affects the understanding by the listener. The key word does not stand out and the listener has trouble understanding what is said. There is more confusion when the word that stands out is not a key word and is not essential for understanding what the speaker is saying. Additionally, changing the vowel sound in a word can lead to further confusion, because the word may now actually sound like a different unrelated word.

The above is why ESL teachers should spend some time working on their students’ intonation as part of their pronunciation learning. One good method is to take an audio or video file for which you have the transcript. First, have the students identify the nouns, main verbs, adjectives, and adverbs and mark them. Then check to see if all the words that will be emphasized have been found by listening to the words that the speaker emphasizes. The students can now practice speaking along with the person in the file and putting the same emphasis on the same words as the speaker on the file. This can be repeated until the students’ intonation matches with the person from the file. You can also assign this type of exercise as homework for the students. If you search on the internet for something like “English emphasis when speaking”, or something similar, you will find some sites that have useful intonation exercises.

To see if your students need help with intonation, listen for the students’ rhythm when they are speaking. Does it sound right? If it sounds too rhythmic or not right you can work with them to correct it. If the wrong words are being emphasized or if some of the right ones and some of the wrong ones are being emphasized you can work with them. Start with simple sentences and tell them which words are emphasized and why, and then have them read along with you.

After correcting or improving intonation the teacher can then work on other pronunciation problems. They will now be more apparent when many incorrect long vowel sounds are removed and many schwa sounds are not made into long vowel sounds.

As you can see, intonation important for non-native English speakers because of the effect it has on pronunciation and listener comprehension. If you do a little more work on English intonation you will find that your ESL students’ pronunciation will also improve.

10 Most Commonly Used Buzzwords At The Workplace

“There he goes again, flaunting his management mumbo jumbo”

This is a common feeling that many of us get (and some of us give rise to) while listening to people talk at work. But do we correctly understand this popular management lingo?

While some may use these phrases merely to impress, others could use them correctly to send a message. Here are the 10 most commonly used buzzwords at the workplace;

1. Out of the box thinking

When you walk up to your manager with a problem he says, “Why don’t you try some out of the box thinking to come to the solution?”

Surely creative thinking could get you the answer, but some managers use this to evade the question until he can think of a solution.

2. Let’s circle back

Isn’t the distance shorter when you go in a straight line as opposed to going around in a circle?

Circling back is a fancy term meaning let’s meet again later. This is generally used when there is some additional work required to be done before discussion can begin.

3. Synergy

This term became popular during the making of the atom bomb when energy from different particles came together in synergy to cause a huge explosion.

While no organization would encourage an explosion, the intent behind this phrase is to promote team bonding and collective thinking.

4. Let’s touch base

Use this statement on a college campus and teenagers will burst out laughing on your face. If only our leaders knew what connotations this phrase carries with it.

On a professional note, this simply means let’s catch up.

5. EOD (End of Day)

“I need this done by EOD” is commonly heard across the office floor.

A sweet and more acceptable way of saying that you have to complete the task or you don’t get to go home. A modified version of this is COB (Close of Business) which generally means 6 pm local time.

6. Paradigm

This is an exciting word to hear and many users may not even get the pronunciation correct!

While it broadly means ‘example’, it is mostly used to indicate a specific thought process – perspective.

The term has given rise to statements like Paradigm Shift, suggesting a change in approach.

7. 50000-Foot View

“Give me a 10,000/20,000…50,000 foot view” is very commonly used by senior management.

A polite way of asking only for the highlights, this is used when someone wants to confirm the overall status of a task.

8. More for less

Quickly becoming part of every management talk, this term is a hot favorite during economic uncertainty.

Simply meaning do more expect less, this is an effective way to indicate to the team that times are tough.

9. Have to take it to the next level

Mainly used when one is falling short of expectations.

This need not always mean bad as your manager could be indicating that you have the potential of doing much better and working at the next level (of performance).

10. Win-win

It is safe to assume that every manager must know and use this term.

Simply put, it means that everyone benefits and the final result serves the objective of every entity involved. You may find a manager telling his team member that while he cannot take the day off, he could log in from home and complete the work. The task gets completed while the employee can save time commuting – a win-win for both.

The Importance of Teamwork in the Company

Teamwork in the company has great importance for more than one reason. Companies, who have embraced the concept, have reported increased performance in work production, problem solving and has stimulated new growth. This group project approach has improved employee morale and increased input when managed correctly. The benefits of teamwork can make a positive effect in the company that incorporates this type of teamwork approach. Resources must be available within the company or outsourced by businesses who will come in and train company employees to make the most effective effort.

One format of teamwork utilized by the company is the Self-Directed Team. Within this group a leader is assigned by management or elected by the group. The team leader must be effective early on if the group project is to be completed on schedule. He/she must be intuitive as to each team member’s strength and weaknesses of knowledge and skills when assigning work needed to begin and progress to complete projects. Group projects can be short term or long term. An example of a short term project would be devising a new marketing presentation for the debut of a new product being added to the list of products made by the company. A long term project would be continuous testing of products sold by the company to develop cost saving improvements.

As each new project is started, a new team leader may be assigned. The reason for this is with each new project the area of expertise needed may change. These teamwork groups are helpful to the manager. By delegating the responsibility of a project to the designated group, it lessen his/her workload with confidence the group project will be done correctly and on time with only minute participation needed from him/her. The high performance of these teams make the use of group teamwork an important part of the company’s work ethics.

Attributes an employee needs to have to be a productive member on a team are the ability to be a team player and possess the knowledge and skills necessary to complete their assigned portion of the work task. After completion of their portion, the employee should be willing to assist other team members with completion of all work tasks until the project is completed. Without these major attributes the team will flounder and be less productive. This is the main reason teamwork is so very important to the success of the company, because a company is only as qualified and deserving as the employees it hires and trains.
