Psychiatrist George Ritchie Tells About His Near-Death Experience

God is at work in our world. A COMMANDING VOICE tells a mother, “Put the carriage back on the sidewalk!” So she does not hesitate and pulls the baby carriage back up on the sidewalk. Immediately a truck speeds around the corner and comes right over the curb, just missing the mother and baby and carriage. To Albert, a man praying–“God, is there no help for me?” a MYSTERIOUS, ENCOURAGING VOICE says, “God isn’t done with you yet, son. God isn’t done with you yet.” Before Albert heard this voice, he had the feeling he was being cradled, completely enfolded by the wings of a bird. What a salvation for a man who was about to jump off the bridge.

Before George Ritchie was a psychiatrist, he had a NDE [near-death experience.] His report of witnessing the behind-the-scenes workings of a vast angelic system is very helpful. Christ escorted him on a tour of the various realms of existence.

First, he was shown an earthly environment in which living people were individually enveloped by a sort of electrical field, which George called an AURA. Also, in this environment he saw “gray, colorless souls with no light or aura, who were deceased persons that couldn’t [or wouldn’t] leave the earthly plane. Some were bonded to living people through love. Others were earthbound by addictions, compulsions and worldly attachments. These gray souls were seen to gravitate to living beings with similar addictions or affinities. For example, George saw real [living ] people getting drunk at a bar. As the drinkers’ aura was weakened by the alcohol, holes would actually open up in their electrical field. When that happened George could see other souls, who had been milling about the bar, rushing into the defenseless body “trying to vicariously experience the sensation of being drunk.”

Next, he was taken to yet another area of this earthly environment were more colorless souls seemed to be consumed by their own selfishness. They appeared to have “the most hateful, vengeful, self-centered, know-it-all attitudes” he had ever seen. “They were bludgeoning one another and committing all kinds of lewd acts on one another.” He saw angels there, too, trying to offer help and occasionally getting through to these self-absorbed souls. George added, “the condition of these lost souls seemed to nearly break the heart of the Christ, who was there beside me.”

Finally, George was shown an angelic realm. These beings emitted a “glow much brighter than the auras of humans, though not as brilliant as that coming from Christ Himself.” They seemed to be doing research of all kinds and studying the holy books of the universe. And the music was amazing with musical instruments we do not even have on earth–yet.

George was conducted through centers of higher learning where he could not even understand the scientific instrumentation these beings were using. Later, during WWII, he saw pictures in LIFE magazine of the first atomic power plant and realized he had seen the same set-up ten years earlier.

George makes the astounding suggestion that ideas come into the human brain by “angelic messengers who impart subconscious suggestions to receptive persons in dreams or other heightened states of awareness.” These angels are giving out the results of their research. Is this why multiple inventors come up with the same device at the same time, nearly bumping into each other in the patent office?

This book is filled with many examples of supernatural happenings which seem to echo the biblical record. I pray that we will benefit from these continuing revelations by spending time in WONDER and LOVE of the ALMIGHTY.

Many people fear to tell these special and precious events because of our callous reactions. But we are hearing a flood of these spectacular ACTS OF GOD. Let us benefit from them.
